Yes she knows about the layering! I’ve tried chia pudding with others milk but for some reason I prefer coconut milk. Honestly, chia pudding pairs the best with coconut because coconut milk is the most neutral tasting non dairy milk IMO. I’m so glad I discovered these recipes because I used to go to liqueteria and spend almost $8 on chia parfaits when I can just make it at home! And the best part is you can control the amount of sugar and sweetness

I made this today. It was a super hit with my children and my grand children. My daughter in law said that net time we have a get together after the lockdown is over I should make the desert for the guest. Sure I will do that. A few days back I made the Pad Thai with your recipe and it was a hit as well. Today I went to the Asian store and get the flat rice noodles and I will be makeing Pat Thai again tomorrow and with that will be Pandan chicken as well. (I found Pandan leaves).

Trouble Shooting Question: I get coconut milk in the can, but it’s usually somewhat solidified, they don’t look as milky as yours. Are they okay to use or should they be heated to melt it first?
You have to crush the chia seeds into a powder for your body to absorb the vitamins and minerals… Consuming them whole does nothing… But, other than that I love this video and this drink looks tasty, I would add some honey though while blending the melon.:) More please!

I make my own oat milk.
And i use banana and vegan chocolate spread.
First i heat up the 21 tbsp of oat Milk since it’s Winter here then i Mix it with 3 tbsp of chia, half of the banana and 1 tbsp of chocolate spread and wait for couple of minutes. Then add banana and dark chocolate In top it takes 10 mins. Voila
I will certainly try those. Now do you make celery smooths u like to share.

I found that my pudding was not as thick and the seeds didn’t soak up the water very nicely, even after refrigerating it overnight. What could be the reason for that?

I have to almost constantly stir whenever

even with the boiling water, non stick pot, a small amount of oil,
it still sticks on bottom of pan

Also, PRO tip; just add a LITTLE coconut creamer. I don’t know why I added a lot (I was trying to make it layered) and it started rising and threw off the whole aesthetic I was going for lol. Also I used coconut cream that comes in the cab from Trader Joe’s. It was pretty good!

Dessert soups are extremely popular in Sweden as well. “Sago soppa” is an old time dessert that is extremely easy to make. Water, sugar and tapioca pearls are simply boiled together and the run off starch of the pearls thickens the soup. Fruit is added in at any point depending on the firmness of the fruit and desired texture of end result. It is fantastic with rhubarb or strawberry. It is also delicious when made with rose hips if you live in a climate where you have wild roses. It is finicky work to clean rose hips but if you want to surprise someone with something a little exotic, rose hip sago soup is probably something noone has tried before.
We have something like this in the Philippines but it’s more of a drink than a dessert:P
