I will try this out one of these days. Quick question though, if i want to use stevia instead how much should i use to replace the agave nectar?
“Tequiiilaaa”
displays the sombrero
Cringey racism… Just show the Mexican flag.
This video is not for OCD people. She is soooo clumsy and messy.
Please, just be honest and don’t call it a cheesecake when it’s not a cheesecake.
**I would rather consume honey than agave garbage since consuming agave is terrible for the environment when considering all the fossil fuels involved in manufacturing/processing, and transporting it from the deep south to the north. It doesn’t make sense to me. It helps encourage pollination to take some (not all) honey of the bees honey;otherwise, maybe bees would get lazy engorging themselves on too much honey; afterall, they always make alot more honey then they need. Its a symbiotic balance between man and bees.Lastly, Honey is the healthiest sweeter for you by far. I think I will look after my health first before following religious nuts. We all need some common sense once in a while.**
Agave is not unrefined sugar. it is mega refined and will do the same thing to your blood sugar levels as high fructose corn syrup.
Too much of everything is bad for you even the healthy stuff.
hope people don’t get their hopes up for a healthier alternative for normally unhealthy foods. they shouldn’t! there is no easy way out!
I though you said it made you speechless. Why are you still talk?
I just use Raw organic Sugar cane sugar, and Organic raw Honey.
What a waste of time! would be better if she just gave the ingredients while showing us how to make it.
The first time I watched this, I thought it was weird and didn’t really like it. I loved having cheese in my cheesecake lol. Few months later, I got myself educated and gained some awareness. I have cut out animal products out of my diet for two months now, only the occasional eggs and milk products (I still have those in my home:/) and I so appreciate these recipes!! People who go teasing others who don’t consume animal protein, be a little more open minded and get yourself educated on why there are a growing number of vegans and vegetarians nowadays, please. We make these recipes because most of us grew up eating the same things you did. and most of us miss the taste of certain foods. I’m not going to lie, they can be delicious. I grew up eating everything and i love making food! It’s not like everyone goes vegan because we hate the taste of those animal products or are on extreme diets trying to lose weight. No, most of us do it for ethical, health and environmental reasons. Don’t bash us for getting ourselves educated and deciding to do something about it.
Can you substitute the cacao butter for something else, like coco oil?
Watch OKRAW’s video on agave nectar. It is not good for you at ALL.
Thank you for pointing out the PROS and CONS, so we can decide if it’s right for us!
This is my absolute favorite cheesecake recipe! I will never make it any other way again in my entire life
Sweeteners are bad for you period except in very limited amounts.
does anybody knows any store i can find lactose free food. like cheese and other foods
I’m not vegan, but I love the recipe and support vegan lifestyles, despite the negative comments. I don’t know why non-vegans are so offended by the video and being vegan? They live the lifestyle that they’re the most comfortable with. What does that have to do with you? And if a vegan does get in your face about it, then just ignore them and leave the room.
I’m usually not a huge fan of “health food” but this one, I have to give credit to you all. It looks freaking amazing.
So it make you drunk if it is made from the samething that make tequila.
Any opinions from someone who is actually used Agave? TBH I don’t cook and don’t use a lot of sweeteners but sometimes if I get a tea I may want to put sweetener in it so that’s my purpose. I’m trying to decide whether or not to pick up and agave syrup
I love how they make these videos… and while making them, they don’t specify the exact amount of ingredients… like what where you thinking ♂️
What does it taste like though? I tried stevia once.. and it tasted too herbal. It messed up my morning coffee experience.
You didn’t say why it’s called nectar. Nectar is from flowers. Agave is from a killed plant’s main core.
Do you have to use lemon juice and lemon extract. Because i cannot have Lemon
God when doctor Becky starts talking chemistry she is damn hot!
Try pure date syrup as well by Date Lady. Ingredients 100% dates. If you get date sugar get it by Now Foods. Theirs doesn’t clump and gets the best reviews. Healthiest sweeteners on the planet.
why are you flashing Freemason sign of all-seeing eye pyramid?
Oh, come on, this is not a cheesecake, this is a cashewscake. Anyway, it looks yummi.
I searched lacuma but it says its lucuma powder. Is that the same thing?
Agave syrup is made the EXACT SAME WAY as hfcs. The only difference is the source. It’s idiotic to think anyone should be consuming this shit.
Agave is a brilliant sweetener. Buy organic agave. You need so little to make your salad or whatever it is you’re doing taste good. If it’s from the earth, it’s good for you. Generally I would avoid all processed foods, but agave and honey are exceptions.
I was like “oh! They’re twins!” half past a minute of the video……
Hi Becky, I’ve been watching your channel and 2 fit Docs for awhile now and I haven’t heard you all talk about the basics of calories in and calories burned. Isn’t that how weight loss and gain really occurs? I know everything you all discuss is connected to reducing calorie intake. I’m hoping you or maybe you and your husband could do a video on calories and connect all the pieces of healthy weight loss. Thanks!
Raw or roasted almonds? Raw or roasted Cashews? Or does it matter?
im sorry but this looks so stupid…has nothing to do with cheesecake. you shouldnt call it that.
You have such a lovely voice, thank you so much for your recipe ❤️☺️
Why do you need to sweeten oatmeal? I like it with butter and cinnamon.
Hahahaha so they are not okay with cheese but okay with milk? Amazing.
She did not mention how Agave has just as much or even more fructose than High Fructose Corn Syrup and therefore has the same baleful effects as it on the body.
Just saw a video on how dairy milk is made so I’m learning my options on dairy free cheesecake. Great video
Maybe stop consuming added sugar or try maple syrup from the tree. Eat fruits. But I eat mint dark chocolate and fruit bars. The fruit bar has cane sugar and the mint dark chocolate has sugar, which probably has bone char.
Followed the steps, but the crust came out soggy and watery and the cheesecake is liquid in the middle from the inside despite looking perfect from the outside, I’m confused, anyone with experience in cheesecakes please help me understand what went wrong. I baked it in 300 degree oven with fire from the bottom only, other than that I followed the recipe to the letter.
Can I substitute granulated monkfruit for the powdered swerve? I’m all out of the powdered. ugh.
I’m trying to stay as natural as possible. But I’m looking for a sweetener for my oatmeal in the mornings. This video just makes it confusing. So, Agave is sweeter than Sugar, meaning I would use less, but It has High Fructose, which I avoid! I guess that means stick with white sugar?
Some literature now states that agave syrup/nectar increases A1C which is your insulin resistance! Extremely bad for diabetics trying to lower A1C.
This is brilliant! I bought some Agave nectar syrup recently, but was a little apprehensive about using itmuch happier now I know exactly what it is!:)
#WellGoodSquad!!♀️❤ Always here for Alt baking and I want to try this soooo bad.
Dairy free is great because besides it being vegan, it’s much less in calories, fat, and cholesterol!
I prefer to have a product without interference of any human being. So I prefer 100% natural organic honey. I am not trusting refinery companies products at all. And I recommend please do not trust them.
from what I understand truvia is a blend of regular old white table sugar and stevia, I personally used truvia for almost a year then but backed off it and now I use just stevia and I actually like it better.
I was really excited about this sugar free recipe because I can’t eat sugar. But it still have a lots of things that have sugar in it, like the syrup or the raisins. So it isn’t really a sugar free recipe. It would be good you want to do it to eat less sugar. But if you can’t eat sugar like me, it doesn’t really works:(
You must remember that Agave, just like High Fructose Corn Syrup, is a highly concentrated, processed product. You don’t just find the Tequila plant dripping in what you call sweet Agave. And don’t let the organic labels fool you. I’ve seen organic alcohol, white sugar, and caffeine, that does not mean it is good for you! There is a ton of info about how Agave is NOT good for the body on YouTube, Google, etc. Hope that helps!
WoW! This came out so delicious that my whole family ate it!! It taste just like a normal cheesecake! Thank you so much for sharing that gift with us!!!!!!
What about the metabolic benefit from medium chain fatty acids???
OHH MAH GAWD! That looks so delicious! I’m going to make one this weekend.
i wonder if you could use chia seeds or tapioca instead of the agar agar?
Luv how ur videos r captivating & fun really wanna try some a these being on a healthy journey myself.. tuned in from Jamaica
Crust:
Almond flour
Cinnamon
Butter
Swerve
Center:
Cream cheese
Eggs
Vanilla
Confectioners swerve
Sour cream
Thanks for the info. I’m trying to stay away from any sugar substitutes. I so agree with you about the benefits to stay away from sugar substitutes, I find it triggers me to want more.
I can’t find the list of the ingredients anywhere. Please help!!!!
You could use digestive biscuits for the base and soya cream cheese for the base?
It’s a less sugar cheesecake, not a sugar free cheesecake.:(
sorry but cheesecake without cheese? you could have just given your cake a different name.
pleae Jamie, its over half a decade and you still do not provide any recepie in the describtion..
every serious vegan i know has greying hair at a young age. its weird
I’m really loving these vegan recipes. If there would be a Jamie Oliver vegan book collab with Happy Pear, Tim Shieff etc, I would definitely buy it, immediately.
They been talking about how you should NOT taken to much of this.. its very bad for your liver..
Major Pro’s and Con’s…. DO NOT OVER look this… as I always say do your research and learn more about it.
I’m doing a bit of research… I have switched to alternative sweeteners because I find it helps me stick to the low carb eating… I want to be healthy, but I think a balance is better for me. I have 5-10 pounds to go.. it’s very slow right now, but I intend to encorporate a few carb up days and agave ( because I do think it’s better than refined sugar), some unrefined local honey, and Coconut or brown sugar substitutes in my pantry. To be able to maintain my weight and be healthy while not obsessing about food is what I’m working toward. I’ve really loved these sweetener clips.. knowledge is power.
i highly doubt that it will taste anything similar a cheesecake
These 2 look so sick and malnourished… I’m not taking their diet advice, I don’t want to look unhealthy and sickly.
Thanks for the info. As an aside, I tried Agave and found the taste simply nasty. Cheers!
OMG, just made this, even without the raspberry addition on top it is delicious. I find their recipes super easy and tasty. And I’m not a vegetarian. I soon may be…
Agave is the main ingredient in the production of tequila. Maybe I’ll just stick to a once a year margarita instead, lol. Awesome video, as always!!
hiii, I made the cheese cake a few times. It’s delicious! THe lemon added is a great contrast to the richness of the cashews. im going to make another one soon! Thank you so much!
As I was saying does it really take a rocket scientist to choose a sweetener?? You should support your local farmers market and other local growers. Knowing that alone should give you a HUGE ASS CLUE of which sweetener to choose. And ask yourself which of these sweetness are you most familiar and able to easily find tons of research on and historic evidence that people have been using for a loooong time???? RAW UNFILTERED UNTAMPERED WITH HONEY FROM BEES. My gosh people it’s even mentioned in the bible as a remedy. The key: moderation. Only eat as much as you need. Simple. Simple. These other sweet products while coming from plants well I don’t remember my grandmother using ANY OF THOSE OTHER THINGS… Do you??? That s cause it’s ALL SHIT!
Instead of cashews can i use coconut cream? And is this able to be baked?
this has sugar in it so you cannot put sugar free (syrup is a sugar)
i’m not sure you can call it “sugar free” if you’re using agave nectar… it’s basically the same
Once this has been set, can it be left out on the counter? Or will it soon get soft?
I would like to make it but cut the ingredients in half because it’s way to big.
OMG-rofl will have to be creful with this Agave stuff-don’t want to end up on Mars-damn gas explosions…
Has anyone made this? I want to make it for my family, they’re a bit picky will they like it? Thanks!
Thank you for doing a sugar free recipe, I get so tired of all the regular recipes that I can’t have (Type 1 Diabetes since 1975)
planning on making this on the weekend, so what’s a substitute for cocoa butter?
coconut oil?
please reply asap:)
All of these ingredients would cost almost $100 where i live. Guess i’m going with the fatass stuff, since desert isn’t supposed to be healthy anyways.
Is it me or this looks like a Margarita pizza without cheese? xD
You can leave it out to bring it up to room temperature and it should be fine being left out for a few hours. However once you’re done with it it’s probably best to put it back in the fridge until you want more.
Wtf? Why all the confusion????! People stop being such f ing gullible morons!!!!! EVERYONE knows we need to support our local growers and that the honey from bees if it’s raw and unfiltered and not treated in any way contains nutrients and some enzymes important for digestion and your local honey also supports your immune system unlike the store bought honey. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GROWERS THAT INCLUDES BEE KEEPERS. Support your local farmers market and eat what’s in season. Stop eating the same shitty grains everyday they are ALL LOADED WITH glyphosate a toxin. They are all treated with radiation and pesticides. Organic is bullshoy today. It used to mean something but with the cross pollination happening and the allowed poisons for organic growers is still poison. WE NEEC TO WISEN UP TO THIS SLICK MARKETING. Gees were so stupid. I read the comments and I can’t believe the stupidity. Does anyone THINK FOR THEMSELVES instead of believe the TVs, radios and YouTube. Propaganda everywhere.
The other thing that “they”
The recipe looks amazing, I have to try it!
Just one side note the brand of vanilla extract they used actually has added sugar in it, so slightly contradicting the title ( I know I’m being very picky, but I’m giving up refined sugars for lent so I’m quite mindful of this ) Just settle for a supermarket own brand, I know that Sainsbury’s don’t add sweetener, apart from that it looks good!
This is the BEST cheesecake I’ve EVER had. Warning, use 1/2 cup less of the monkfruit; otherwise it is VERY sweet.
If you want it really sugar free use monkfruit and/or erythritol and bake your own biscuits
What could I use instead of dates in the base? I’m Not the biggest fan of their taste:( def going to try making this though, looks yum as!!
Where is the amount of ingridients needed? Went to your page but didn’t see them neither!
Wonderful recipe, I love what you did with the cashew. Turned out so creamy wow * A *
GAH I need to try this asap xD
I think this recipe looks great, though the title and description are a bit misleading; agave is still by all accounts a refined sugar. If you want to make it a selling point that this recipe contains no added refined sugars, I think it would fit better within your culinary ethos to use a fruit like banana or mango instead. They still contain high amounts of sugar, but they also provide fiber, antioxidants, and other nutrients that can help justify their use in the recipe.
Personally I think everything in Moderation even Refined Sugar. Everybody’s body reacts to things differently. I have seen healthy people u never drink eat refined sugars, smoke and exercise and eat healthy daily and such but die young and seen and read about people who smoke like a chimney, eat junk food and lots of sugar and do minimal exersice and live to be 100 and visa versa.
I think genetics has a lot to do with how our bodies react to things…..
Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe she feels comfortable cooking with what she has in her kitchen. What difference does it make what she uses so long as it’s clean and the results a good. I’m just saying…no need to insult each other.
i turn the bottle up and sip a little its so much and i put it on bread with almond butter its so good. if its bad for me than so be it. cant be completely safe in this world.
Thank you for the information. This question does not pertain to agave. What are your thoughts on using vital wheat gluten to make a decent keto bread? I include the honey used to proof the yeast in the carb count and I do not have gluten allergy or side effects.
What about if you have a nut allergy:(
That is the biggest struggle for me being allergic, I can’t use almonds, pecans, cashews, none of them! Makes it difficult to bake vegan/gluten free. Suggestions?
Yeah!!! I like, but how much sugar in that drink? Will it interfere with people with Diabetes? And/or will it makes people with Diabetes goes up?
im gna make this with a normal cheesecake filling but im going to try this base since i need to go gluten free… but i love chesecake.
great video! just a tip: when you use agar-agar it is better not to boil it when you dissolve it, as it won’t lose most of its properties, other than that, very jummy!
Americans and Canadians are addicted to “sweet”. I noticed the differences in “sweet” preferences, when returning to my natal home in Europe, for visits. Even imported products either from the US/Canada to Europe or from Europe to the US/Canada are sweetened differently. The products in or going to Europe are LESS SWEET, than those in or going to the US/Canada. Luckily for me, despite immigrating to the US (and also briefly living in Canada), I have retained the “European preference “ for less sweet foods. Therefore it’s easy for me to avoid any overly sweet foods and the urge to add sweeteners. If I am recreating a recipe that requires sweeteners, I often reduce the amount or if it asked for a small amount, I may totally leave it out. (Swerve and Liquid Sweetleaf are my go to sweeteners, if I must add any.)
Thank you for this Dr. Becky. I have been debating whether to try this. I will save my money:)
If you don’t like vegan food or vegans then watch a different video. Log off and ask yourself why you’re taking extra time out of your day to be a piece of shit
I made this other day amazing. No one could tell was low carb
Can’t wait to try this. I appreciate the explanations and love the plates at the end lol…thank you for sharing!
OMG!!! I can have REAL cheese cake again! I’ve tried other recipes that are keto, & had to spit it out!
I thank you PROFUSELY! I’m in heaven!
Fructose?! Holy fatty liver Batman!
Seriously though, thanks for letting us know.
Lies..
Agave is 100% healthy.. This is a fact. Dr. Sebi said so.
What’s gonna cause all those adverse effects is the processed ‘unnatural’ sugar.
This is a natural sugar, something the body needs.
I see your trick tho.
You must a puppet?
Drop the processed sugar people.. It will Kill you.
Be good now.
Awwww you posted this on my birthday!!!! That’s a sign for me to make this delicious looking cheesecake
Twins or a really cute couple? but also lovely, I needed a vegan cheesecake recipe.
I tried Agave, but for taste and sweetness I prefer local honey from the farmer’s market.
amazziinnnngggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! defo making that for my vegan dinner party to prove my aunty wrong!:D:D
I’m not usually impressed with vegan food, and most of the time, I just find them too weird with all the “normal” food substitutes they use. But that cheesecake does look good and I imagine that I would probably like it.
Could I eliminate some of the coconut oil by adding some agar (not raw anymore, I realize) instead? This may be lower in sugar but ouch! So high in fat! Even good fat ought to be limited for many people.
Loved the presentation and info will give this one a try, thanks!
So I saw all these comments saying to eat Stevia instead, not knowing what it is, I looked it up on YouTube and right off the bat I found nothing but negative and bad videos about it and those who weren’t saying anything bad were trying to disprove or debunk the “it’s bad for you” thing. Sooooooooo NOPE. I’ll stick to my Agave;)
what if i use agave for my preworkout shake for cardio or weight training so the carbs are being used right away?
Lol!!! Shelley, I wanted to make a guilt free dessert, it’s 10:58am!! Lol….I feel ya!! Then, I saw Crustless Spinach Quiche!! Thank you for my dinner and dessert ideas!! My Mom is up in age and I decided to help her feel better plus allow her to eat “junk” without the effects!! This is going to be FUN!! Thanks Jennifer for posting your amazing recipes. Plus, you added an alternate for almond flour……YES!! You had me at….can’t use almond flour……!!!!!! I’m now a follower!!
We tried your recipe for my mom’s birthday and it turned out amazing everybody loved it!!! I added lemon zest and lemon juice (my mom loves lemon),we doubled the crust, and topped with raspberries. Also the cinnamon crust went really well with the lemon and raspberry. Absolutely loved it!! This is now my go to cheesecake recipe. Thanks so much!!!!
No!!! Chocolate cheesecake is the best, how you can eat a vegan cheesecake i do not know. I couldn’t do it, but kudos to you vegans out there who can.
I have the wholesome foods organic raw blue agave. Does this kind have high fructose corn syrup? It doesn’t say so on the bottle.
a few teaspoons of pure fructose is definitely not negligible on your health
people still think agave is healthy? who would of thought…..
I really love the springform pan you used, can you share the brand?
Because it’s not sexy. Cashewcake… Same problem with Tofu. ;P
I made it for my husband’s birthday today and he loved it:) ❤️
Made this last night, man, this was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Wow! It was amazing, everyone at home approved
CAN YOU PLEASE TELL US WHAT THE HECK IS IN TRUVIA AND IF IT IS GOOD?!!!! I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YOUR SHOW BTW<3
this is a beautiful recipe but then again, it’s not a cheesecake, guys. yeah it looks like a cheese cake but it’s not. so better used the word ‘Cheesecake’ rather than just claiming that it’s a Cheesecake. because that’s how I clicked the video; I thought it really is a sugar-free cheesecake.
No. The commentator is ill informed. I am from India. The fresh coconut water is the best nourishing drink and ideal for diabetic patients and the sick. The hospitals here recommend fresh coconut water as a diatery
supplement for the convalescing. In the US we get only the bottled variety which loses its efficacy with in an hour from the opening of the nut..
thank you but i forgot i cannot have almonds or, cashews. what would you recommend instead of those?
You don’t have to exclude all those things from your diet all at once it won’t make you superhuman guys. Biology is stronger than food fads.
These videos and recipes are great but a link to a printable recipe would really help!
Agave is almost 100 percent fructose which is really bad for you. I would recommend brown rice malt syrup which is fructose free, it contains glucose, which some of your organs and run off of. Hope this helped someone: )
If losing weight does that mean I should limit my fruits to only 1 or 2 servings a day?
Beware of corporate sponsored propaganda. Multi-million dollar sugar companies that have been around since the days of slavery (literally, and also used slave labor) do not want alternatives entering the market, especially if they are healthier, and or cheaper.
Agave syrup is bad for you. Makes you fat and ruins your liver. I stay away from that thing. Regular honey or maple syrup is the way to go!
Its a welcome relief that the recipe does not need baking. Temps >350C can lead to trans fats?! It will be helpful to know if excessive processing (grinding) of nuts cause an adverse impact as well. I thought agave is a better substitute for sugar, but found that its just not the case. Almonds are a good choice, but my thoughts on cashews differ. The central idea behind the recipe is cool. I will try with half the amt of sugar and cashews; or simply consume an ounce of raw organic nuts a day.:)
Is its 2 3 cups of coconut oil or two thirds of a cup? Sorry I am being thick
Tfs…i was using agave a few years ago after reading about it being better then sugar…but later finding it is not so good…someone said try coconut sugar instead…i used it for a few years, still do on occasion…sweetners aren’t all that great either so what do we do?..Have a great day!..
I like the general point of this video on this channel. That being, there are different ways of eating and these two are sharing their style with us. The cool thing about vegan, vegetarian, raw, etc. is that it challenges people’s culinary creativity and concept of what good food is. For example, the definition of the word “cheese” is not as blinkered as some may believe. As seen on the River Cottage programmes in the past, it doesn’t just have to be dairy. I’m not vegan and I also can’t eat cashews, but I can appreciate the enthusiasm and creativity here. I plan on taking some of the techniques and flavour combos into my own kitchen. After all, variety is the spice of life, as Mum used to say.
Excellent recipe. I’ve made it 4 times now…anytime I entertain, folks wanna know if I’m making this cheesecake. Everyone loves it, whether on keto diet or not. Thank you for sharing this crowd pleaser!
Anything that comes from nature is good for us. It’s all God creations so we can have it and eat it all just not too much.
Basically high fructose agave syrup. It has a high gI, they just love to market it. I prefer honey or maple syrup, minimally processed. I just look at sweets and insulin goes bonkers.
I would recommend maple sirup which is one of the healthiest natural sweeteners out there.
I did not know this about agave, just bought it thinking it was a good idea for a sugar substitute. Many thanks.
Bottom line, the moment you leave your health into the hands of someone else, you become a slave to them and you deserve what you get “”AGAVE NECTAR” really, like the bees made it, yep most people are stupid, can anyone spell ” POISON”.
How about using dry date as sweetner,is it better than other sweetners?
Hello-I’m wondering why you say 9 inch spring form pan on your video but on the written one you say 10 inch, also you say 300 degrees on the video but on the written 325? Which one is it? I don’t want to make it wrong you are a wonderful cook and I want my family to enjoy it.
Thank you doctor…. I’ve spend allot of money on agave, before I found out that it’s not good for me… What’s interesting, that when I eat any regular sugar or honey( I have my own bees, but I don’t eat honey), I don’t feel good from it right away.. But when I eat agave, I feel fine at first, and then half an hour later, it somewhat bothers me, but not much… But because my weight likes to go up really easily, I stopped using agave… I don’t really like sweets, I would prefer to eat savory food, instead of sweet food every time… Gods Blessings…
IF I wanted to make one 1/2 the size or 1/3 the size how would I adjust the ingredients?
change the name of it to something more suitable maybe almond tart because it has nothing to do with a cheesecake
You can leave it out to bring it up to room temperature and it should be fine being left out for a few hours. However once you’re done with it it’s probably best to put it back in the fridge until you want more
Might as well just eat real sugar! I don’t do sugar substitutes if I want sugar I’ll eat the real thing lol
This cheesecake looks soooo delicious!! i subscribe to your channel!!
Hi Amy. Not at all. You can add some vanilla extract or simple leave out the lemon. Let us know how you get on making up your cheesecake. Hope you enjoy!
On your blog is says 325, but on here you say 300. Which is it?
Hey, I was wondering how much monk fruit sweetener we need if we were to replace the swerve with it. Thanks.
It looks so delicious! I’m lactose intolerant so I’m defenitely going to try this one:)
AGAVE IS A BETTER ALTERNATIVE THAN ANYTHING ELSE LOL JUST DONT EAT TOO MUCH OF IT AND YOU WILL BE FINE. THAT WAS THE POINT SHE WAS TRYING TO MAKE.
First time making a cheesecake and it was soooo amazing. Everyone who tried it said that I should sell them. I’m 12 so I’m extremely happy that I did good! Tastes better than Cheesecake Factory!
8ounces of cream cheese and 8 ounces of sour cream? But in the video looks like you only got a small amount of sour cream?
I prepare this for Mother’s Day for my wife and we have never tried a cheesecake so delicious
it looks a bit different from the usual no bake cheesecake videos i watched, and the recipe looks a bit different too. But this looks really smooth and creamy, can’t wait to try!!
My family has used light Agave syrup for years as an alternative sweetener and love it for it’s versatility, and that you don’t need much to do the same job as regular sugar. I especially like it drizzled on cereal or oatmeal, instead of syrup on whole grain waffles, or mixed with a little cinnamon on top of organic oatcakes.
I love panna cotta but wanna make vegan ones so that my mom can also enjoy them. Would you try making vegan versions of panna cotta and puddings in future episodes? can’t wait!!
I don’t think she made the pre made one. She looked genuinely surprised like “holy shit this looks amazing. Mine looks like shit” lol
With some being used so many times… The most precise recipe ever!!
Hi, can you explain what confectioners ‘swerve’ is please? Is this a brand-name of a sweetener?
Okay even if you hate veganism what’s the issue?, some people might be sensitive to diary or gluten so vegan foods tend to be a good alternative for people with these problems, and it still tastes good! Food is good if you don’t want it don’t eat it no ones forcing anyone to do anything. Even if this is ‘fake’ cheese cake it’s still very tasty
so i made almond milk, and obtained fine almond meal from what was left, can I make the filling using that instead of cashews?
I do use Stevia for somethings, but honestly am a little put off by the intense flavor. It does take some getting used to.
Tried this recipe today!! I used 4 cream cheese 8oz instead of 6. Hope it’s delicious!
I have made this cheesecake twice and it was a big hit! I used Lakanto sugar instead, but not the confectioner one, and it still came out great! Actually, I’m just about to make another one now!
In the oven as we speak .
I used the full crust receipe, but halved the filling recipe and it’s still huge!!!
Is there a link to the cheesecake pan you use? I didn’t notice it on your website link.
The website to check the ingredients sux with ads and irritating
Could you please list the nutritional information? Carbs, Sugars, etc?
I’m in the middle of baking mine and it already looks amazing. Too bad I have to wait until tomorrow to eat a slice.
Has any one measured how many carbs does a slice have? Asking for a friend lol..
Thank you Dr. Becky! This is something I have wondered about without getting a clear answer! My husband is not over weight but a diabetic and he switched to Agave a few years ago because of a nutrition class for diabetics. (Ha) I wish I could get him on Keto and IF like me, but baby steps, old dog new tricks etc. Thanks and I LOVE your top! So cute.
Tried it today and loveeeeeeeeeeeed ittttttt! Thanks guys!!!!!!!!
i have to have my sweets. I am laughing at the tiny bowl and all that cream cheese. The breaking of eggs right over the cream cheese. LOL I’m hungry too.
After much anticipation made this cheesecake, but it didn’t come out as expected. For starters it doesn’t taste like cheesecake! I used roasted cashews and it came out brown. Tastes like nuts not the cheesecake flavor I was going for. Using raw cashews really makes that much of a difference? Also my crust had too much dates and not enough walnuts, didn’t feel like a crust more like a sweet paste. Maybe need to lower the ratio of walnuts to dates
Thank you Dr. Becky. Very eye-opening. I’m really sad about the information because I really thought it was a good sugar-substitute. Thank you so much again for the enlightenment.:)
I’m down with my inner primate too! Just ask all the blocks of tofu that I’ve mashed up to make tofu scramble, and all the chunks of frozen fruit that broken into smaller chunks for smoothies. HANDS FOR THE WIN!!!!! LOL!!!!!! Anyway could I swap the almond milk for coconut milk?
What was the substitute vegan powder you stated could be used to make additional layers of cheesecake?
I did pretty much everything she did and put in the oven for 50 min as recommended and when I returned it looked like bread, can someone tell me what I did wron
the gas explosion graphic was hilarious, when your tummy doesn’t like something it lets you know and others know too lol. I never tried agave wasn’t too sure of the benefits I think I’ll stick with my stevia. I thank you for sharing info about it, new to the channel found you by accident glad I did:)
I had to divide all numbers by 3 cuz I didn’t need such a huge cake, but it turned out to be big anyway. Three people have been eating it for, like, 3-4 days. I also changed lemon for orange (just wanted to), didn’t use the cinnamon (others in my family don’t like it) and used a regular erythritol. The cake was delicious, but the best part of it was the crust tbh, best crust I ever ate. Thank you, Jennifer!
I made this for the first time 2 weeks ago and am making it today again! IT IS SO GOOD. my mom has diabetes and I like making it for her so she can enjoy some desert! She loves it! I highly recommend this recipe. If you use the right sweetner, there is absolutely no aftertaste! I used monkfruit erithritol that I got on Amazon.
I’m a herbalist and vegetarian. I’ve been using Stevia for 30yrs. This is another suggestion. All those artificial sugars dont use them.
What is the quantity of the ingredients? I cannot find it in the recipe please help
your not telling us how much cup of almond flower and butter sweetener ect.
Made this, amazing☺️made A LOT of cheesecake and I was well satisfied
I dont use any sugar substitutes. That way I dont need to shop for them or research them that much. What do I need to add sweeteners to? Cant think of anything.
Date sugar is the #1 healthiest sweetener on the planet because its just ground up dates if its pure. Agave nectar (raw or not) is the second unhealthiest sweetener in the planet. It’s horrible for you. Fact.
Am I the only one bothered that she didn’t mention the measurements for the crust or did I miss it?
agave is highly processed STAY CLEAR USE stevia instead! It’s SUPER high in fructose
No honestly it does. Maybe not chocolate ones of course 😉 give it a go and let us know what you think. It makes a great dessert!
I’ve used frozen raspberries and the mix did not come smooth, i put little more orange juice now the texture is perfect but the juice is overpowering the taste! what shoud i have done here? thx
Amazing work guys!!!!!:-D Thanks for the great vegan ideas!:-)
ive just heard about agave, but all these recipes look good but they seem like a sweet tooths way of trying to cheat and be healthy at the same time. Agave is low GI but that processed carby base cant be good!
For those (like me!) who like a heartier (rather than smooth) cheesecake, sub some ricotta cheese for the cream cheese. It actually has a better nutritional profile, with more protein. Also, I often cheat a bit and add a tiny bit of maple syrup to balance out the bitterness of the Swerve (or stevia) sweetener. The stevia/Swerve acts as a sweetness magnifier when just a little bit of real sugar (like maple syrup) is added, and it reduces the bitterness.
Stevia is a natural and safe herb 200x sweeter than regular white sugar. It is good for those who don’t want to use sugar or have diabetes. It has no side effects and I use it
myself because of my diabetes.
I’ve been trying to find a dairy free and gluten free cheese cake for months
can you make it without using agava syrup
Hi Jennifer, how long do we bake it if we half the recipe? Making his right now and set it for 30 minutes, I hope that’s right?
Is cream cheese the same as cheese spread? Cheese spread non flavoured in the UK still has a savoury taste to it. Can I use that?
I’m always amazed at how much sweetener Americans use. After all that cheesecake. It shouldn’t be very sweet. Especially as you also have sweetener in pastry!!
stfu, I like her, she has humour and she’s like a ”cool mom”!
Ugh…. my first try and it has a long split as it cooled. I may have cooked it too long (9″ size). I also noticed one side was snug against the side of the pan (not badly stuck), while the other side had nicely pulled away ( keeping its shape). I used a spring form recommended by Test Kitchen. I may have beaten my eggs to much, too? I WILL try this again…I don’t give up easily. Thank you for the recipe.
