Im trying to be a fitness instructor but my confidence is low and I don’t project my voice to be heard over the gym music in the background. The music doesn’t help at all.
Thank-you so much… Very good advices positive thinking to everyone who watches your very good video great thanks to You and wish me luck in Success
In my old powerlifting gym, there are three coaches who charge between $120-200 per month just to send you a program that you can find on the internet in five seconds. Because of this and the fact that the gym is in an affluent neighborhood 90% of the powerlifters in the gym have a coach. The most negative aspect of this situation for me is that because everyone is paying for their powerlifting information no one will help you for free! Someone who is paying $200 a month for a “coach” isn’t going to give away information because they had to pay for it and so should you apparently. It makes me sick. That is why I left the gym.
Great video J! As I’m sure you know, I’m an in-gym only full-time Health Coach/Trainer. Could I also benefit from your online coaching program?
Great Information
What about FAKE ONLINE COACHING?
People who has no credibility or even look the part to teach anything
Case in point JASON BLAHA.
The guy looks like a melted candle. Uses fake weights
Percent example of FRAUD in online coaching
Really loved your book recommendations, being a newbie I was kind of confused on how I can read some quality content & increase my pool of knowledge!!
Love your videos jordan! I really want to branch out and help as many as possible. Feeling a little overwhelmed but with excitement. I want to be better!
Im 30 gonna give coaching a try.. The teaching part is the most important part.. Giving someone a chsnce to change their families lives.. Its start with you on how the future is gonna shape up!!
But isnt there always more to learn and can’t having your own coach to learn even more be a good thing?
I mean of course a coach should have a great foundation of knowledge, but there’s probably always someone smarter/better than you in some/all areas. Getting coached by them might be a decent way to get into their way of thinking and expand your own knowledge as a coach.
Good rant lots of Instagram queens out there trying sell shit? I spent years trying to teach myself because I need it to be individual I tried to get some coaching in my gym and got advised to do Candito’s program? I’m 60 it would fuck me up he’s young and it fucked him up
Thanks coach! In the end we are selling ‘belief’ so: communication, dependability, loyalty, encouragement, and teaching. Loved how these were so much more important than the ‘subject matter’. In other words ENGAGING the learner. The sport (any sport) isn’t enough. We have to SELL BELIEF!!! I can feel it through the screen here again thanks coach! Gunny
Excellent video! So much good information! I am looking forward to starting the mentorship and learning more from you and Mike.
Another question I had was what books I can read for nutrition knowledge base? Cause I see lots of workout programmes & knowledge floating around but very basic stuff on nutrition.
What’s vo2? Everything was explained except vo2. It confused me so I googled it
someone did it,you only do whatever way to becoming a follower or adopter of others, when others really did well, you finding time to thinking of given up, then why you need to have what you certain even the person who achieve before you has the same challenge, he does it well and you only believe he does it well, then you are going to forever no way to becoming like the way he do, thewn you forever wouldn’t thinking of achieving your goal.
Im gonna turn 15 in november of 2019 and i would love to coach in the nba one day. And im trying to learn as much as possible before i start polytechnincs. If any basketball coaches are in the comment section do yall have any advice for me?
If I do strength training, isn’t that just part of a good workout regimen? You’d need to incorporate cardio, maybe HIIT, stretching, and conditioning (I sort of know what that is but not precisely). As a general person (not a trainer or an athlete) I’d appreciate your thoughts on how to build a holistic program for oneself. I ask this in part in relation to the books you recommended, some of which are about strength training, so I wonder if they only give part of the picture.
Nate Diaz at 13:45 let’s test that example you are giving… Now Tony Ferguson would be a better example, Great video and awesome content!
Great video again Jordan. Really looking forward to applying for the mentorship if I can put the money together!!
Pat Riley was a phenomenal coach!! I like that he always wanted them to get better even when they were already great!!
I love to yell “I see you Smith” to an athlete from across the stadium after a good jump, throw, race…..the kids do to!
Well said Brother. I have been a trainer for over 15 yrs, I agree with you whole heartedly. I have just decided to buy a.com and get online. I have a strong ig and fb following for fitness, so your business tips are appreciated ✊
“avoid profanity” lol Good luck with that one coaches. We are approval junkies, use praise but choose your spots wisely. Let them know you care about them. Learn everything you can about your sport, knowing all rules like the back of your hand.
This was an awesome video! Great book recommendations and I LOVE that you brought up the behavior chain model. That’s so key. You are an amazing coach and so thankful you will be teaching others!
From a players perspective I’m wondering what should be done about a toxic coach who cuts players down behind their back and builds a toxic culture?
lifting is a hobby for me so coaching myself is good enough. if i decided to become competitive then thatd be another story. i imagine it can be daunting, id be afraid of wasting money on bad coaching
thank you jordan Syatt just starting out and it was really helpful!
“walking libraries”
That’s a good way to put it (the good ones, at least).
This is an excellent video. Not only do I love the content but the layout is much better that the usual coaching video. I have subscribed and look forward to more content
I definitely fall in the camp of someone who’s had a shitty coach, wants a coach, but am not going to get a coach again because good ones seem impossible to find.

I personally want to thank you for all your content. I’m not an inner circle member (but would like to be in the near future) or a coach but have learned so much from you that you are always my top recommendation and go to for anything health, fitness and motivation related!
What is the best way to become a better player? I read loads of superb opinions on the internet about how Episoketren System can assist you increase your soccer game. Has any one tried this popular training course?
Thank you very much professor Scott Gains (sorry if I spelt your name incorrectly ) well what I’m Interested in is that how does how does biomechanics link to exercise physiology and if I study them both (oh I’m still at school and I’m very in interested in going into the fitness industry )will it make my training more in a way?
Alan thrall, Omar Isuf, and a couple of other YouTubers have their own programs from the start of their channel, but they both took coaching from Austin Baraki, former SSC. What are your opinions on this?
people who risk versus who don’t that makes few achieve something you desire that you hate to do what a few that doing what you dream of..
Encourage the youth to be the very best its a lot of kids growing up in poverty you could be the “coach” to take him and make in a micheal oher..dont be blindside by your own wealth and happines..help someone else along the way
#4 is something that ticks me off. idk how many times i’ve seen someone comment on a fitness video saying “I always just tell my clients what you say”
omg, just realizing who you were…came across you for the first time on IG today, now I stumbled upon you on YT LOL
Wow thank for your knowledgeable demonstration by even citing Mc Gregory as world class example of economy of moment and of what it mean to be is mechanically adapted is absolutely igneous in order that we acquire to go more round, endures more fight due to an effective and bodymechic availability of more gas
I love coaching. This is a really good video. The one I would add, at least for male coaches coaching boys, is father figure. In this day and age, whether you want that role or not, you are likely to acquire it. Depending on where you are, there is a high likelihood some of your players have no father present in their lives.
Is it good (Fitness health and nutrition) major to be a coach?
I strongly agree with focusing on behaviours rather than programming. However, I would argue both are essential to achieve a high level of performance, athletes for example especially with time restraints and competition dates. Great vid!
Thank you so much for this. Please what software do you use to make your Instagram video post?
This was awesome. A lot of great info. I’m 46yrs old and I’m stepping into this arena of HEALTH, online COACHING and fitness. The info you’ve given is powerful. I will be joining your mentorship program. I greatly appreciate your approach to this. ✊
This video was so refreshing and a big difference from all the other videos if found. Awesome transparency with your content
Great information. I’m actually looking for some strongman gyms in nyc. I’m a super novice and need lots of help. I like the fact that you brought up old injuries and people not knowing because for some reason when people don’t know the answer it seems that they still have the answer. Definitely will be a member on your website.

Tried to explain few concepts
must watch
It’s more of good marketing I guess, poor coaches with cookie cutter program with good pics on Instagram get a lot of clients, also they market some overpriced supplements.
I know this is so not relevant to the video, but I have those same cabinet pulls. 😉
Soooo much great content!! Thanks as always, Jordan!!
PS. Inner Circle Represent:-)
I too have had a bad experience with finding my first powerbuilding coach on IG. To me he had everything that made him qualified, he was super strong, WR holder, been doing it for years so I figured why the hell not give it a shot. Hit him up, we set up the monthly rescuing membership of $130 with him and for the first week everything was fine but after that first week it would take him 5-6 days to respond to my videos, questions I had etc and it continued the entire month after that first week. The last week of the program he hadn’t filled out the exercises, weight, reps or anything. I texted him and 5 days went by with no response. So I decided to go on PayPal and cancel the recurring payment and literally minutes later he texted me asking “hey man what’s going on, what’s up.” But on a better note, my current coach is technically an online coach but I actually knew him somewhat personally before I got him as a coach from my hometown and I’ve had him 3 months so far. He’s externally good, much much more better priced and actually is a coach and making sure I’m hitting all my lifts, numbers and gives me things to do to help with my sticking/weak points to help better me. Long story short he’s got me in the works to hit my first meet in June. Couldn’t be happier.
Thanks for this! Great info. I just want to make a quick observation about your assertions about injury around 9:00. You state that injuries are almost always a result of biomechanical issues. I think this statement needs to be adjusted or clarified. We need to define “injury” here. I think you are tying your assertion to a definition of injury that is too rooted in biomechanics here. If we discuss injury in this manner, what we are discussing is specifically physical damage to tissue. What the physiologist would tell you is that increasingly the working model for understanding concepts like injury and pain is the biopsychosocial model. This is because pain and damage don’t track in reality as they are often theorized to. A study showed people who with shoulder MRIs often had damage to shoulder soft tissue that had no pain, and people presenting with pain often had no damage at all. I think this is an important factor to consider and an important caveat to add here. Physical tissue damage tracks with poor biomechanics. But we need to have a more comprehensive view of pain and nuanced concept of injury to then form a correct statement around this subject matter.
Just a minor nitpick to give some food for thought. I hope it is taken as such, and again, thank you for this video!
