Woah! Too much information too quickly. What a useless presentation.
One of the most important things you forgot to mention is that an EGG WHITE is an INCOMPLETE PROTEIN by itself without the YOLK COOKED IN! You are missing all the proper amino acids needed to deliver that protein to all the right areas in the body when eating just egg whites, and it goes through the system without being digested properly. Hence, like when you eat a ton of beans, and you fart a lot and it goes right through you. Because they are an incomplete protein alone, but if you eat them with rice! RICE AND BEANS is a complete diet of protein and amino acids, and that is why you digest more and become way stronger and fart a lot less. SO, moral of the story, if you are a heavy body builder and you want to bulk up using eggs, you should eat two whole eggs, and include two eggs white so you can have a properly balanced diet of protein and amino acids, while also keeping the cholesterol and phosphorus and sodium level down that can also damage kidneys.

Okay, but cholesterol and saturated fat in moderation isn’t bad for you, and actually helps good cholesterol. Avocados and coconuts have saturated fat… and they are considered heart healthy fats. People who eat more chicken and are overweight have to be eating more calories in general than they need, and may be eating more chicken because in general their portions are too big.

The info here is pretty damn good; although as a holistic nutritionist I can add a few more key points about eggs and especially egg yolks:
The cholesterol in yolks is VERY good for your overall health, and you can (and should) eat several per day.. Here’s the thing though: It has to be consumed in its raw, natural, liquid state. If you cook the yolk to a solid or even semi-solid the saturated fat and cholesterol become oxidized and damaged. Damaging the integrity of these nutrients with heat causes chaos in your body’s physiology, which is where the heart problems etc. come from. Do not ever eat egg yolks cooked to a solid. Not even once a week. If they’re raw though, even 20 a day won’t give you any problems whatsoever.
Egg whites are OK to eat cooked as they are pretty much all protein and magnesium. Protein doesn’t oxidize and become toxic like fats and cholesterol do.
I would highly advise only eating yolks from healthy organic free ranging chickens. If you can find a local farm that treats their animals correctly you’re gold. Raising your own is even better, if you can. Toxins accumulate in fat, thus if you buy factory farmed eggs they will be terrible for your health. Protein doesn’t really accumulate any toxins like fats do though so you can use factory eggs as a cheap protein source if you wish.

Wait! But the nutrition labels on meat are written for raw, uncooked meat. When you cook it it can loose about 25% of the weight… so if you weight it after cooking you will be eating more calories than you think.

Not saying its right or wrong but I generally eat low carb. I do however eat about 8 whole eggs a day. I am almost 40 yrs old and after doing this for almost a year, I had a cholesterol screening. My results were fantastic. Triglycerides were great, LDL was good and HDL was very high. I have a big family history of heart disease too, but the doctor told me, whatever you’re doing keep doing it.

Hey! Just so you know how much should your calorie intake be, here’s an aproximate number if you are a short girl like me.
Short (1.50mt-1.55mt) with sedentary life style should eat 1300/1400 calories a day to maintain their weight (if you have a normal imc, if not you should consult a doctor), however if you do exercise 3 times a week your intake should be 1500/1700 depending on the time and exercises you do. If you are extremely active (4hs+ a day almost everyday of the week) you could be reaching for a high calorie diet like 2000/2500 calories.
You can also do a 1200cal diet if you want to loose some weight. But you shouldn’t believe the “2000 calories a day” lie. That will only make you gain weight, and if you are already overweight, it will make it worse. Most of the teenagers should have between 1500/1700 and consume a lot more due to the stupid “2000 calories a day” idea.

I switched to vegetarian almost a year ago after watching and reading some articles about meat. Unfortunately the information out there is never black and white there is a lot of conflicting and misleading information. I read an article written by Dr. Hayman recently and thought he had some interesting comments. He argues that a lot of studies done with meat eaters vs. vegetarians/vegans aren’t completely accurate. Ive been using a 125ml cup to measure 125g of oats (stupid ik). Few months later I have found out I have been under eating severely by atleast 300 calories. Fml.
Hi Mic, I’m vegan and although I do get protein (I know other things are also important and I’m definitely getting more vitamins etc in my diet as a vegan) but on chronometer if I put in everything I eat in a day (example of yesterday: oats with berries and almond nuts and some cinnamon, beans and brown rice with spinach and tomato relish, mixed veggie oil free and salt free stir-fry) I don’t meet all the max points but I reach my calorie intake of 2000 l, yet if I put in for one serving of chicken to compare all the proteins are maxed out from one serving of chicken. How do vegans have higher protein levels? Is there a video about how readily we can use the amino acids from meats and veggies Vs how we need vitamins or something as cofactors for protein synthesis maybe idk? Or maybe about other mechanisms that explain why even though a serving of chicken had more protein people who eat chicken have lower levels than vegans?

Whole eggs are perfectly healthy and nutritious. If you want to avoid all kinds of diseases then stop eating added sugars, especially refined white sugar. Now THAT is the real killer, with zero nutritional value.
Here’s my question. The nutrition facts on a pack of raw chicken breast I buy states there are 25g of protein in 4 oz. When I cook the chicken, it decreases in size by a lot (it’s probably shitty chicken). So am I getting more than 25g of protein when I eat 4 oz of cooked chicken? Much appreciated!

Eating 4-6 ounces of chicken or beef, 2-3 times a week will impart no harmful effects from the additional cholesterol or saturated fat as long as the meat is whole meat and the rest of the diet is mainly whole plant foods. This is regardless of whether the meat is factory farmed, natural, grass fed, or organic. Having said that, most omnivores don’t realize that a healthy omnivorous diet is still one that is 80-90% whole plant foods.
