As a Chef, thank you.. As a man, and you not wearing a ring….. Hi.. 8P
Thanks, Dani, for the info and the recipes. I’m have to say that you sound different, and I don’t know if it’s my settings, or if you changed something on your end. Please understand I’m not trying to be rude. It’s just that you sound a bit staticy, almost as if you had to amp up your volume setting in post while editing. Maybe it’s just my settings.
Bulgur gave me uncomfortable bloating the pain. Make it stop

This was the only thing available at my local grocery store. The shoppers ran on everything else. I was actually there for barley. But ended up picking up bulgur. It’s a new world we’re living in. I’m excited to make it after watching your video!
O wow, what a lovely lady, she really made me smile. I cooked bulgur wheat for the first time tonightbecause it says it’s cracked durum wheat I thought it was tiny pasta! But it seems I was very wrong! After a long time of transitioning from veggie to vegan I am so grateful to hear this is so nutritionally great! I will definitely be having it as a quick cook grain.

You are a very smart and kind woman Dani, because you showed me close to what the bulgur is. I’ve never known how did it look, or what it was. Thank you.
The one I bought from Tesco doesn’t look authentic like this one, mhhmm
Thank you for sharing these recipes. I will give them a try!
Don’t end up adding sugars in the end to make it tastier. A lot of food turns into sugar in the body so if you add sugar you have sugar on sugar on sugar. Sugar makes you fat. It makes you sick. It is refined, extracting only the sugar from plants and is as concentrated as a drug. The health hell now is sugar.
I like cook bulgur wheat the simple way that you showed by adding the hot water to the wheat and then when it’s done I add a tablespoon of butter mix it in and there you go it is delicious
Too save money… go to any india grocery and ask for “Dalia”

Hey dani! I really love your 101 videos, they’re very informative and helpful. I was wondering if you could do a video on Tempeh / ways to prepare Tempeh. I’ve always used Tofu so i’m new to using Tempeh. I wanted to know if you had any tips on using Tempeh because it would be very useful. Thanks again and great video!
Asia Minor or Anatolia or today’s Turkey is the top exporter of bulgur. Turkey holds %73 of world bulgur market. Unlike other Middle Eastern countries In turkey bulgur is first, rice is second. And the Top bulgur importer is iraq.
I’m in the Republic of Ireland, bulgur we get here is white & looks really processed
You should do 101 video about millet (I believe thats the proper word for that ingredient on english). Its similar to rice or quinoa, but not so present (on videos of this kind). Maybe even something about barley or rye -those ingredients (like the first one) were here in these areas even before wheat…
I take Bulgar Wheat and Hulled Barley and grind them together 50/50 by weight and use it as a base to make cookies. I use eggs, apple sauce and almond milk, no oil; then I add whatever I want depending on the kind of cookie I want. They come out amazing! Soft and tender! I never actually ate Bulgar Wheat any other way.
I have some bulgur in the pantry and really want to eat it so this video is sooooo helpful.

could you please explain wheat to me? I’m confused. I’ve started baking whole-wheat bread instead of white bread thinking I was making a healthier choice for my family. now I’m told that it’s just as bad as white and I should cut wheat out completely because it causes visceral fat. I’m feeling overwhelmed
Bulgur wheat is very common in the middle east especially Lebanon we make kebbeh with it and bulgur with tomatoes ( bourghoul a banadora ) just to name few
Bulgur is misspelled in the description. It’s bulgur, not bulgar.
Lebanese dish called pumpkin Kibbeh which is so yummy. Uses bulgar and pumpkin to make a dough and is stuffed with spinach spices and nuts and deep fried. It’s so yummy
Love the fact that the recipes are vegan!i absolutely love bulgur, where i come from we boil it add pomegranate, parsley, nuts, raisins,a little bit of powdered sugar and its delicious!
Thanks for the great info on bulgar!! I will try both recipes soon. I just started eating buckwheat and absolutely love it. Bulgar is next on the list. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m eating these simple vitamin rich foods and can tell I’m doing my body good. It’s such an impact that there is no way I could go back in eating the junk I use to consume. Thanks for sharing.
I will have to make Kasha with my bulgar. I love Kasha. Your breakfast recipe looks delicious too.
My favorite way to eat bulgur is mixed with rice and eat it warm with some homemade greek yogurt. It’s simple and delicious. And sometimes when we have some of the bulgur/rice mix leftover we warm it up in the microwave put a fried egg on top and eat it. Another simply delicious way to eat bulgur!
“I have this absolutely delicious ‘rib sticking’ breakfast…”
That was oddly bat sh;t hilarious to me
I’m a lazy single male, so love a single saucepan deal: bulgar + water, simmer covered till it just starts drying out, add chopped watercress or other leaf salad, chopped fresh tomatoes, bit of lemon juice & serve with smoked salmon or just about anything. For extra excitement stir in any other salady stuff you like chopped beetroot, bell peppers… And just one pan to wash:)
You should try Kisir bulgur wheat or cracked wheat salad amazing!!! All my friends loved it
I love bulgur wheat, in the turkish culture we use it to make bulgur rice absolutely delicious, also to make salad, it’s called kisirso light and fluffy
The bulgur that we get looks much different. It’s more circular and it has a darker brown color. Does that make a difference?
