Mike, breadfruit is not famine food; It is a staple of Polynesian peoples, one of the 3 core crops of ancient Hawaii.
I love breadfruit but did not know that it was good for diabetes. My father in law in Westmoreland Jamaica makes it just about every morning for breakfast with ackee n saltfish…mmm… miss that!
Respect from the pacific home of the breadfruit one of natures great food like tavioca ( cassava ) this can heal the insides. Please don’t let Monsanto destroy these god given foods, they are trying.
Is it not better to view as roasted Breadfruit if the skin is blackened when baked?
