These vegan summer rolls are filled with crunchy veggies, rice noodles, fresh herbs, and seasoned tofu for a simple yet satisfying meal! Spring rolls, cold rolls, summer rolls whatever you call them, I think we can all agree on two things: (1).If you love tofu, then you’ll love this recipe, but if you don’t then I’m hoping this will change your mind. Makes 8-10 rolls. 8-10 x 22cm rice paper wrappers.
Cut pressed tofu into 32 long strips. I cut each 200 g into 8 strips and then cut each strip in half. Heat up the oven to 180° C / 350° F. Line a baking tray with a piece of baking parchment.
Put tofu sticks into a shallow dish (I used a large Pyrex).Cut the tofu in half lengthwise down the top. Slice into squares 1/4 inch thick.
Stir together the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar in a small bowl, set aside. To add more flavor to the tofu, transfer 2.5 Tbsp of the sauce to a small bowl and add an additional Tablespoon each of soy sauce, sesame oil and brown sugar or agave (amounts as original recipe is written // adjust if altering batch size) and whisk to.In a small (about 11×7-inch) baking dish, combine the soy sauce, ginger, sugar, sesame oil, and salt.
Stir until the sugar and salt dissolve. Add the tofu strips and carefully turn them until they’re evenly coated with the marinade. Let the tofu stand at room.
Summer Rolls. Lay foil on air-fryer pan. Spread tofu strips on pan.
Drizzle with sesame oil. Air fry for 10 minutes at 375. Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add vermicelli noodles. Reduce heat to low.
Simmer for 3-5 minutes, checking for softness.Whisk peanut butter, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and boiling water until smooth. Top with peanuts and sesame seeds and serve alongside rolls.10-ingredient Vietnamese-inspired spring rolls with veggies, rice noodles, seared tofu, and sautéed shallot! Pair with peanut sauce for a meal or side.
1. To prepare your Summer Rolls, soften a piece of Rice Paper in warm to hot water until softened. 2. Lay a few pieces of Tofu onto the middl of the roll, followed by Cucumber, Carrot, Avocado, Cilantro and Mixed Salad Leaves.Cut the tofu into matchsticks and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water. In another bowl, add the sesame seeds. Dip each piece of tofu into the cornstarch batter and shake to remove excess. Then, dip the tofu into the sesame seeds and transfer to a plate.
Repeat with the remaining tofu.

The transition from seeing the springrolls being made to the face shots are distracting. I prefer to watch you make them with the instructions or just the cooking portion then seeing you actually taste the items afterwards.
How do you keep the avocado sauce from browning throughout the night. I always have a tough time with that. Any suggestions? Or does it not do that with this recipe she did?
Hi,I’m here fully watching your video very nice recipe, love it, and now I like too, learning for next, thanks for visiting and returning. We love you guys…
Definitely making the fruit spring rolls for my kids. These all looked so good
Thank you! This looks awesomely yummy. What exactly is ketchup menace?
This looks so pretty and easy to make. Thank you for inspiration!
5:30 saté sauce mixing recipes
5:58 soy and Ginger sauce recipe
THANK YOU.. love your presentation.. Clear, concise and the pace is just right. Great personality and wonderful ideas.
Her eyes kinda freak me out, it’s two times bigger than mine hahahahahahhh
Might I suggest you only wait till you can roll it. Don’t wait until it is that soft. Terribly hard to roll if you wait that long. They stick together at that point. It is quick to get these done. Get all your ingredients ready before you even wet anything.
Judging from your accent you are an american. Must say you pass as a cook venturing into exotic asian cuisine. Do pay more attention to the proper way of wrapping. Good try!
Thank you for the recipes! I made spring rolls for the first time tonight, and was surprised how well they went over. I made dino nugget rolls. My little one loved the dino ‘burritos’ and my husband even enjoyed it. i made a sauce that was equal parts peanut butter, hoisin, and water, with a sprinkle of salt. I want to try some of yours, though! I’m a sucker for avocado!
I definitely think the garlic chicken wraps would go ove well here! I love the fruit idea too! I might have to get some veggies for the rainbow roll! We have one stire that carries them here, and I hope I can convince them to keep the wrappers in stock. Spring rolls make salads easy!
They all looked so delicious! Thank you so much for sharing and taking the versatility to the next level of creativity!!! Definitely gonna make them❤️
…. I watched to many spring roll recipe videos, this looks boring, gave me some ideas so i can’t complain, just not my idea of delicious
Great ideas. I was delegated to organise starters for the family Valentine’s Day meal. Sorted! Thanks.
Use a Julienne peeler to keep veg thin and easier to wrap. Add lettuce to the fruit. Makes for a nutritional balance.
Ummmm lost me at spring rolls they are rice paper rolls spring rolls are fried
Love spring rolls. Just love to see how foods spreads to different parts of the world and make them their own. For ex. Tomatoes peppers peanuts corn chocolate and many other all were discovered by the Spaniards when they learned of them from the Aztecs in Mexico. In Mexico in present times Asian food is a country favorite. For ex chop suey, stir fry, soy sauce, and many other asian food were a part of my family’s menu even included by my grandparents who were born in the early 1900s. ( 1906 and 1910). Many chinese people and their bloodlines still exist in the Sonoran border tiny towns both AZ. USA and Sonora Desert.
I am a type 2 diabetic and struggle with new things to make. These all look so amazing. Do you have a nutrition breakdown? thank you
Cultural appropriation! lol Love your out-of-the-box ideas, they’re limitless
Your rolling skill is not good and also some of items should be properly placed at last
Really enjoyed watching you eat with such relish and enthusiasm! going to pick up all these ingredients for dinner tonight.
Thank You! I hate salad and really most veggies. But I love spring rolls with peanut sauce! So I just decided to buy a bunch of stuff to make spring rolls and home made peanut sauce. So cheap, delicious and healthy!
After making the spring rolls (any type) How long do they last? should they be eaten right away or can they last a few days?
Absolutely awsome.and thank you for taking the time to give all recipes
Love the ingredients, and will probably make a noodle bowl from these items, sans salt. Not crazy about the sticky rice wraps… but the flavors sound amazing. Thanks for showing us how you do it.
The avocado cilantro dipping sauce turned out incredible! Thanks for sharing.
Nice vid and great ideas. But the audio is a bit low/tinny sounding.
These are absolutely fabulous but can anyone please tell me how to keep them from drying out if I take them for lunch or have them on a lunch buffet? Thank you.
I’m on a no carb no sugar program and these look delicious! Those rolls are perfect for work. I’m excited to make them! ^^
you are delightfully awkward. im trying the chicken garlic first. Twist: Slicing my chicken breast into batons for less droppage than that large dice. Love you!
You know they have a sweet sesame rice paper that you can use for your fruit spring roll:) great recipe!❤️
I love that you also give 5 tipes of sauce to dip the springrolls ♥️ great video
The way you wrap these are odd but they still look delicious
this white lady’s fish lip is when whitesplaining a “summer roll” LOL
This is a great idea for getting more veggies in me though at my age I’d have to shred most of them to get em down.
these ideas are so amazing and delicious.. if i made them i will return here and edit my comment aboute the results!!!
I cook the veggies a little bit with soy sauce and they taste just like professional spring rolls…. the fried ones…
Wow! With minimal oil use, the rolls looked absolutely healthy, fresh and delicious.
I’ll make the strawberry kiwi spring rolls first because I love fruits.
Animal cruelty in a spring roll does not make a “happy spring roll.” There’s nothing sweet about you pea.
The only ones I’d be making, is the avocado stuff, & the fruit one
Those springrolls are briiiiiiliant! Huge inspiration for me springroll’s lover. Thanks for sharing, Darling!
They’re all looked fresh and real organic. No need to say more about healthy.
Those sesame avocado spring rolls and the fruit ones are SOOOO pretty! I want to make these for lunch now because they’re like a salad that you can just…. shove in your face really quickly.
Thanks for putting this video together. I was looking for some inspiration for lunch and these are great ideas! I’ve gotten tired of turkey sandwiches.:P Also, I’m Asian and I call them spring rolls.
Why didn’t you include cellophane noodles in any of the spring rolls, given that it’s a defining ingredient?
i crave summer rolls allllll the time, but have never made them! i’m excited to give this a shot:)
Made this and the tofu reminded me of tofu I had purchased at metropolitan market (Seattle/Tacoma) very tasty My tofu did soak up all the marinade in the first stage to make up a second batch for the oven stage. The end result was excellent Thanks for this recipe
Make the marinade in the pot…..why tf have I never thought of this before????? Mind. Blown.
I love making rice paper vege rolls in the summer. I learned because I can’t stand cilantro and all the restaurants use it. I use basil, mint and/or parsley. I found that if I store the rolls in accordion folds of damp tea towels they keep really well for a couple of days.
How long do they hold up for in the fridge? Just waiting to see how many days I can meal prep for
I don’t do tofu unless it’s organic and made from sprouted beans. I don’t need anymore estrogen.
Hi Caitlin I’m happy I found your channel. That looks great,.
I tried these once but the rice paper was too salty..is that normal?
hey hey!! thanks so much for the great content. your videos are chill and well put together! plus, your recipes always turn out great!! would love to see a meal planned week and a grocery haul video?
thanks again!!
Can you take them in your lunchbox. Or will they get hard again?
all the YouTube vegan community does is post the exact same vids over and over again.
I have been living off of these this summer! Definitely going to be trying to braised tofu!
I’m so glad you made this-I absolutely love summer rolls!! I’d love to see a homemade seaweed salad or a copycat of the ‘Vietnamese noodle salad ‘ from Whole Foods. A healthy (ier…is that a thing?! ) rum cake would be amazing! I loved the series you did with the meals for a week for $25-a Chinese or Japanese or Indian menu would be awesome!
Love fresh rolls! Thanks for the recipe! Where did you get the cabinets in your intro/outro?
Summer rolls are my favorite! Definitely going to be making these and trying the tofu recipes
I love these but I’ve never tried them with tofu in them. I love Chinese 5 spice and can’t wait to try this! Is there a difference between spring and summer rolls?
if you have ever had honey walnut shrimp, i’d love a recipe for a vegan and gluten free version. it’s seems kind of hard but I miss it so much lol
So simple and delicious! That’s exactly what we need for summer recipes. Thanks for sharing! It looks healthy and tasty:)
I tried this with my family and everybody thinks it kinda looks and feels like a condom. Didn’t really like it, unfortunately..
How do you get it to not taste like gelatin? I feel like im doing something wrong
These look so yummy! What is your favorite soy sauce brand? I want to get a good one. Haven’t had much luck yet.
I wanted to thank you for your great recipes.
I’ve watched at least 5 other spring roll videos on YouTube and your is head and shoulders-above the rest.
Great dipping sauces as well.
Keep up the great work.
Love it ❤️, I adore you and your recipes….just made these
I made summer rolls with my friends in Germany on NYE, it was fun. I’ll have to try these!
Some great ideas on spring rolls and dipping sauces. Thanks for the video!
Great video! I use a cake pan filled with water to quickly soak the rice paper. It works great because it’s got a flat base and the entire rice paper wrapper fits rather than having to rotate it in a bowl.
Dang that looks so much better than the strawberry pop tarts I’m eating…
I love Summer Rolls, they are so versatile, delicious and easy to make!
Can you use the marinate to do a reduction and make a sauce for the rolls?
I thought you were saying ketchup and mayonnaise for the kecap lol, I was like that doesn’t look like ketchup and mayo
Hi Caitlin, I don’t comment much but you are listed as a favorite channel in the comments section of today’s gojiman channel.
This dish is an appetizer in South East Asian cuisine. Vietnamese spring roll. I’m disappointed that you didn’t include that or anything like that:/
In love with summer rolls could eat them every day
Hi Annie, can you freeze these spring rolls and keep it for few days? How do you pack and store it? Thanks.
I cannot wait to make these! They are one of my favorite foods ever
I have been looking all over for this braised tofu in the store. Thank you for the recipe! I want to try it in the breakfast burritos I make.
My wife tells me I can’t make summer rolls because the wrapper reminds her of chewing on a condom
i was so excited to try summerrolls with peanutbutteesauce. prepared a few of them but oh my… i couldnt eat it. the texture of the rice paper threw me off, dont know why.
As long as you dipped every bit of the rice paper in water, it will soften without extra water needed. I’m very glad you don’t leave the rice paper to soak in water like other people do lol.
Do you think the Trader Joe’s mushroom umami seasoning is comparable to the Chinese 5 spice?
Hi Caitlin! I just wanted to point out that it’s a little distasteful when you talk with food in your mouth. Hope this comment won’t start anything bad
Great vegan recipe. I can’t eat store bought spring rolls because they usually contain MSG(Modiumsodiumglumate) which is a flavour enhancer which causes me to have extreme headaches.
I would LOVE to see a video of YOUR all time FAVORITE (and I mean your creme de la creme TOP favorites) breakfast, lunch and dinner meals (your recipes or others ♀️); and (possibly) how to make them!
I love rice paper/spring rolls. Took me a long time to not get them stuck all over the place lol. Awesome video, they look really delicious.
Love that you are so real thank you for the tips:) yay someone else that wants to eat lots of them as my friends will maybe eat only 2. I would love to eat with you if you were in Perth:)
really enjoyable to watch. I will definitely try this. thank you.
I forgot something to share this in my opinion is the more developed ancient cook pot. The arabic tajine. I am sharing with you this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sKl3gFZkPg https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=103XaVx5XGo&feature=emb_logo https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=246&v=UKrblH_bnZM&feature=emb_logo
Hi. I seen your video and I found in it something unusual. More than the half of the video is you eating your dish, as if you are sharing the food with the public. I this mades me an inquire about that. I confess you that I didnt finished to see it since I didn’t want to make me the idea of having a food together with you, a beautiful woman, since I will not be real, this wake up the inquire about why you feel the want to do that and this is while I am doing now. First Ofall My interest of all I have to tell you what was my interest about learn rice paper foods. I am not rich, the situation is not good and I tried to learn something to sell in the street that last longer some time for if i have the case of bad selling days. So i decided to learn how to make nougat, this need rice paper, here dont sell it and trying to make it get sticky in the paper with oil that I used as replace of it. This is the candy that I tried to do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8BntLUAj1M https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=Tix0CYH9Qpw&feature=emb_logo After that incident I decided to learn how to make rice paper and I found a world of oriental food arround it including your post. Also I found with the same food the oposit personality girl as you. You speack plenty, live in a city, eat a vegan food, and try do do a virtual sharing. The other oriental girl, leaves in a forest village, made food with pork, and didnt tell any word in all the video and eats alone. Definetively I didnt contact she, she leaves it real live with real persons in shes environment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AoFe9ZU93s&t=111s I never eat pork. In my opinion the human while eat other animals for some generations I takes part of the resemble of the animal. This is for the eating of animal proteins, enzimes, co enzimes and nucleic acids of the animal. For that reason the people that eat elefants or whales for plenty generations are huge, the people that eat cow have a bigger head and the lower jaw bigger, and the people that eat pig have stronger muscles but with so much less agility and have a different ugly face, like plenty europeans. The peogle that are vegetarian for plenty generations used to be thing and small with a pretty face since is pure human face, this makes the atractive face of the vegetarian with the small thin body compared with the people that eat plenty meat. Leaving this little comment, I take in count years ago that the vietnamese food is deeply plannificated. To give you an example to eat pork they mixed with papaya. The papaya have an enzime similar to the one that our digestive system have to break proteins. The name is papain and this maybe reduce the bad effect of the pork. The forest people have to be addapted to their environmet and this means that the pork is another food and incoming. Ohter thing I found is that in the process of making the rice paper they live the starch to collect spores from the air and then start a myselium there, that will adapt the people for the media, also the fungus digest the chemicals that can have the environmet, inluding the ones used during the war, like the orange agent. So that they leave it dry it in the air and over some special grass. The cities needs another production method for the car smog and other urban dust or take care of it I you put it into boilng water the miselium is die, since that some persons us cold water. After this comment about the half of the food comes the personal enquire, it it can be answered. Why you decided to make a video with the half of the video eating alone trying to share the dish with the public? I tried to answer me my self: 1. Was because want to do a publciity of her business. 2. Was and intention to be social and share a virtual good moment if it is possible. 3. A sad supposition: was another morbid media product of the heritage of the badits of egipt, like a virtual game (or the phone calls systems) that make a virtual relationship with a beautiful woman to what they consider a fool person. 5. and the last supposition was that a beautiful woman always saturated with plenty persons around she unconsciously wants a moment to stay alone with shes selve. Well I am alone, a strong lonely person, that like the nature and go way from big cities, with no good luck in my present continous, opposite living an opposite way of life that i suppost you are living so as a complement of life in am sharing now a little real moment of life with you. Maybe we coincide with something. You like to speak, one of your strong parts of your life, I like to write. so I sharing this with you. I am a latin american mix person. I forgot one share This is the most spicy dipping sause that I now in the latin american culture, I also Share this with you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPnCCuk7BSQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMCoJCGFmPE (Avoiding the publicity of the crackers) The latin american real native, can live a a modest place, but always keep present the good foods. Other persons prefer a better building and eat industrial foods not so tasty. IN MY TASTE ENJOY YOUR FOOD AS WELL, THE LATIN AMERICAN FOOD AND THE MIDDLE EAST FOOD IF IT IS FRESH AND DO IT WITH VITALITY AND WANT TO DO SOMETHING WELL. Have a good day. Dario
Hi Caitlin nice video. we make spring rolls the other day.they turned out ok.
I never made home made before I always order it lol Looks I could do this
I love these, because I have both gluten and soy allergies, and spring rolls can easily be adapted to both! Thanks for the creative ideas!
Love it! I love your accent! Easily explained simply with spirit. Definitely will try this simple, I’m sure tasty recipe. Peanut butter forever!❤️
Making it now. Will let you know how they come out. Just finished doing four weeks raw cleansing. Now the second phase of my journey. Yummy vegan food.

WOW! These look a lot better than the ones I made on my channel
I like the recipes. Rolling the rapper is challenging for me
Hi, please put the printed recipe in the box under the video. It’s very hard to make it watching the video and it’s a real pain not to have the printed recipe. Thanks so much, I love your channel except for not having the printed recipe. I can’t watch channels that don’t have it bc it’s just too much of a pain to make recipes without it. Thanks so much!! Love!!
You are killing me with your reactions to each bite! I can’t wait to try all the recipes! I didn’t realize the rolls were that simple.
these are my favorite! It’s nice to see your ingredient picks, can’t wait to make these
You are so sweet and your delicious food really it’s mainbloing video
I remember that summer rolls were how I found out I loved tofu. When I was a teenager I had them instead of shrimp (I’m allergic) and I loved it. It changed how I thought of being vegetarian. I was vegetarian at that age. I started eating more than just mushrooms as meat.
Those look so good and easy to make, definitely restaurant worthy.
Can I make them and safe them for later or I have to eat it right away…. thanks to any one that can respond to my question… (tried to safe sushi and it turn out nasty ).
My daughter who is 12, really like healthier food which means she needed to pack lunch. We watched this together and made it for both of our lunches. We loved it, thanks!
I have subscribed, love your recipe. please take a look at my channel.
Annie, I love your vegan spring roll, thanks, and love from California Desert.
Cuts tofu into rectangles “….that kind of look like…rectangles” I can’t imagine how hard doing a voice over is but sometimes people get me haha
Why would you edit the bite of the food. That is so messed up. No subscription from me.
Loved your video! Made me very hungry. Can’t wait to try these Spring Rolls. You are a breathe of fresh air the way you talk about what would go with all you are making. Definitely will be watching for more recipes!

Looks awesome, I have been vegan for about 5 weeks now and always looking for new ideas.
Those sauces looked fantastic! Am definitely gonna make them. While watching this, I was eating a nice big bowl of brown rice and quinoa with sautéed kale, spinach and onions, some japanese pickles and topped with lots of tahini and hot sauce! Yum!
Great video!! However the “red paprika” should be “red pepper” and the lemon is actually a “lime”! Can’t wait to try this out!
