I just ate a black bean/sour cream/shredded cheese and a tiny bit of shredded chicken with a bit of red devil cayenne pepper hot sauce and i could only eat 2/3 of the small black beans can i rinsed and drained and I’m soooooo damn full i love it…i didn’t want to make myself sick full so i stopped but it tasted so good and knowing it was healthy really added to it too.

Sprouting makes them much worse! I couldn’t stop farting when I sprouted them. People say your body adapts but I still fart when I eat beans and I’ve always eaten them. Once you have dysbiosis, fibre will feed the good and the bad bacteria. When I take psyllium powder which is full of soluble fibre you wouldn’t want to be in the same room as me trust me!

Soak raw dry black beans in warm water for 12 or 24hours changing the soak water three times, and no more anti nutrient /amylase issue. The long soaking followed by proper boiling greatly reduces the bad stuff.

Lentils are easier to digest than beans and chikpeas, give much less gas, anyways why nobody said we dont need legumes? We can be healthy just the same without beans or even legumes with no significant amount of gas, bloating and discomfort replacing them with potatoes or whole grains, our protein requirement is low for most peoples so it doesnt change anything.

What I think most people have a problem with, besides the intro music, is understanding why beans are a type of magical fruit, or legume. Interestingly enough, most scientific articles have provided a plethora of data suggesting that the more legumes you eat, the more you toot, or flatuleate if you prefer. However, the more flatulate you allow your body to succumb to, the more relieved you’ll eventually feel as a whole. Let us stand united, change the culture of how beans are perceived, and let us not just eat beans on a weekly basis, let us eat beans for every meal!
I pressure cook a black rice / black bean / split pea + herbs in a high pressure cooker (2 atmosphere stove top type) for 33 minutes. Breaks down a lot of the anti nutrients, makes them better nutrients. I cook a lot of stuff that way actually.

Can anyone point me to the peer reviewed article(s) that examines how amylase blocks protein absorption? All I can find is that amylase blocks complex carbohydrate absorption. I also found an article that discussed how an amylase inhibitor was refined from black beans, but I did not see anything about how black beans, in a regular dietary quantity, inhibited protein absorption. I eat once a day, and typically eat a 1/2 cup of mixed almonds, Brazil and Walnuts with dark chocolate an hour before me meal.
