Tried many different online pilates classes during the lockdown and Trifecta is my absolute favorite!
I love fitness blender videos but had a hard time with this one and the direction. Maybe not for beginners/introduction to Pilates? Idk. Or just an off day on my part:-(
I have new found respect for people who can do pilates..i can do hiit, cardio, strength training easily but pilates always gets me…its hard!

i love all the moves! unfortunately my wrists hurt after the heart planker, and took too long to recover. the wrist rolling afterwards didn’t help. so, i used my whole lower arms (like in the hip twist). no more injury, only real pain from workedout muscles! only in my 2nd week and i’m already faster & stronger!
Man, she could just be quiet for half a round. Good workout!

I just finished this workout and I loved it!!! The moves were so beautiful and peaceful I honestly didn’t feel like I was working out, if anything I felt really happy and like a ballerina! I don’t mean this didn’t challenge my core, because it did!!! My obliques are tingling right now
This workout has never fail to make me sore! It is my favourite oblique workout in all my 13 years of Pilates!
I want to loose weight but i want it to be a gradual procees, not ant fast fix. Ive started changing my diet gradually as i want this to be a lifestyle. Wil i achieve my goal if i do an hour of pilates morning and evening with about 30mins walk a day.I hate the gym and also i have athritis in my hand so its not fun exercising there

I’m basically a beginner and have been able to do this months calendar so far, and then both videos so far today have been basically impossible… I’ve had a lot of momentum this month but this is kinda frustrating. I guess maybe I’ll do the beginners ab workouts on ab days? Idk

Side planks are just… hard! But still better than side seals! Why are they so hard! I could do only 2 or 3 in 55 second time!

Not sure if I completely understand the question but Pilates frequently coordinates exercises with inhale and exhale patterns, and use the breath to initiate and support movement. The whole point of breathing throughout Pilates exercises is to draw in lots of fresh air, get rid of every bit of stale air, and to train your abs. It’s difficult to do at first but you get used to it.

Thanks for your response. I haven’t done Pilates aside from trying some videos like this, so I didn’t know the main purposes behind the breathing. I still found it difficult to inhale during some of these moves instead of exhale. Thanks for explaining it.

Is Pilates more effective for the midsection and abs than a regular core workout?
I loved the simplicity of the workout! The guided breathing always helps. Definitely a good beginner workout. I didn’t feel any of the burn in my abdominal region though mostly my thighs which is weird because my abs usually feel it right away. Is this due because I was doing them the wrong way?

This really opened my eyes to my lower back problems. A few years ago I could’ve done the arms and legs up while on my stomach thing no problem but for some reason it literally kills my lower back…I know I have lower back problems, but I may need to see a chiropractor….WOW. lol, but great workout. I did the 10 minute abs yesterday, so this one on top of it should definitely make my abs sore tomorrow lol.
Another workout I really enjoyed. I thought I was pretty good at pilates since I’ve been following Blogalites for a year, but damn I felt those hundreds in my abs at level 3 haha!

we don’t have to start off exactly like her. do it as far as your body is able to go and slowly push yourself further. and the harder you push, the more pain your in, the more calories you’ll burn:)

I have a huge problem. Everytime I do abs that focus on leg movements instead of torso ones exclusively, my hip joints start to hurt like crazy after some point and i find it difficult to focus on squeezing my abs effectively. I have been training hard for a year now, but that problem doesn’t seen to go away. Am I doing something wrong? Is what I feel normal? What can I do to make it stop, or at least make it hurt less?

when i do the imprints my collarbone or clavicle area, a bit of the shoulder/neck really hurts what am i doing wrong? i think it’s from holding my breath, even though i am still breathing? but i need to hold some breath to keep my lower back against the ground…?

hey guys. Tip request: everytime I plank, it hurts my wrist (too much pressure, I had to stop because it started to be really uncomfortable) and it hurts my lower back. Any ideas to make changes to technique?

Is it just me..? I never feel anything except in my arms when i do the first move. My arms get so weak that i stop early. Same with the second move but at least i feel it in my abs. On the first move, its nothing.

I can never do ab workouts because they end up hurting every part of me without me feeling ANYTHING in my abs. I don’t know what’s wrong with my positioning, even when I know I’m doing it right it still hurts everything but my core:(

I have been struggling this past week with motivation to work out. This one is my favorite go to when I feel this way because I still feel a burn in my core, back and thighs/quads, but I am not jumping all over the place like I do with cardio lol.
I pair this with the inner thigh isolate. I once tried doing booty isolate after this but my arms gave out ♀️

I promise it’s working both! Your body can only focus on one source of pain at a time, so if your arms are weak, you’ll feel it there more. As you get stronger, you’ll feel it less in your arms and be able to focus on the amazing feeling of tightening your obliques!

Edit: It’s been 2 weeks and except for 1-2 days I did this workout every day so I can see changes in my waist. The results are great so I’ll continue and come back here again.
Edit: It’s been a month and this video really helped me burn my fats. I feel better and my waist looks better. I’m gonna continue and let’s see what will happen.

Great video! Thank you for posting it! One question: I had a Pilates instructor tell me that there should be a small space between the mat and the lower back-about the size of a grape. Here you say to press the lower back completely into the mat. Do you have an opinion about the difference/benefits between these two options?

I love this workout. I have just had a shoulder op for a ripped tendon and so I ca’t get to my Pilates class, with a bit of adaptation on certain moves (one arm not mobile). I can keep up my abs workouts with this video,

I found this and I was excited because as a beginner, I don’t have much endurance and I get tired really quickly! But when I was doing this I found that my neck, back, and thighs were feeling most of the pain instead of my abs. Am I doing something wrong? My neck is what hurts the most.

There was a point where my abs and body got tired and almost dropped but I remember saying “nope” and forcing myself to lift again and it felt amazing

My shoulders and wrists hurt whenever I am in the elongated leg/extended arm side dips… I hate going down into the modified poses, but it doesn’t feel right in my joints.:/

I can’t hold myself up for long in planks but I feel like when I’m on my knees it’s too easy.
I only felt the toe taps in my thighs. My abs were contracted and my back was completely flat on the mat. What am I doing wrong??
Perfect workout for when you have just woken up, you wna workout but just don’t have the energy for HIIT or cardio!! I love how diverse the workouts are on the channel. Anything from HIIT, cardio, yoga, Pilates, strength training. Perfect for all fitness levels too. It’s impossible to not wna workout when there’s so much variety
I always enjoy Beth and Trifecta Pilates. She is so knowledgeable and keeps us on target, so there’s no time wasted. This was a different workout for me but it really works all muscles and, with the focus on the obliques, we also hit some nice back fat areas. Loved it thanks, Beth!

I did this this morning. It’s now midnight and my obliques are sore!! Usually it takes a day or two for the soreness to set in but wow. This was killer.

I only get 20 minutes to workout each day (when my baby naps). Jake doesn’t waste my time and I love it!!!

I usually love Popsugar but I didn’t like this workout at all. Felt it in every part of my body besides the obliques. And moves way too fast need to focus on stability and form with core exercises
I only say 2 chugga’s before a choo choo. So it’s “Chugga, chugga, CHOO CHOO” for me. Sometimes, I might say it 3 times. But that’s me personally. And WOW! I love oblique workouts, I can definitely say I felt this one. I got it from the 2020 January calendar. Thank you Cassey!!!

I’m confused about the breathing in this… Isn’t the breathing supposed to be during the “difficult” part of the exercise? I think when I try this, it’s going to be difficult to inhale when I’m bringing my legs up or down. Can someone explain this? Is this a Pilates thing?

Have loved this workout, been doing it as a part of my abs workout for almost a year now! Even with a 6 month break from pilates I can do it quite well with only a couple of breaks, hopefully I can go straight through it by August!
