New sub. This is SO helpful! Always wanted to do a group tour, so thank you for sharing these great tips!:D Here from YTG <3
Thank you so much sir your video is very cool I learned a lot thank you sir
Thanks for Video Evan this is very helpful i launched a tour guide company back in 2018 called Amoa Tours operates in Tanzania..This video will help me to add more value to the services I deliver.
Hi, I’m going to Japan this November. I have a 1 year working holiday visa. During the winter I’m teaching skiing but I’m not sure what to do during the summer. This sounds like a good idea but I’m not sure how to attract customers and how to start a tour business with very little money..
Thanks for making this video. I myself am looking to start a tour company out of Southern California, and these tips are really helpful, so thank you for that.
it’s not that easy i am learning 3 years and i will continue my education to become better in my profession
the video is a right steo for one who want to start this company.thanks.I need to hit the road running
Does a tour guide (one person) require insurance or licenses in a state like Fla?
you do a great job. I guess group travel is the right thing for many people but I guess I further like to travel by myself. planning where to go without a timetable is great. of course it`s easy to meet new people. anyway great video
I think it’s really important that people actually understand what they’re getting. I went on a day trip to Yosemite from San Francisco; it was a really long day and fast-paced, but what do you expect when there’s about a three hour trip from SF to start with? Some of the review I read were really negative but it was clear those people hadn’t actually understood that it wasn’t going to be a relaxing day full of strolls at your own pace.
Oh my god, I needed this video so much, you’ve got me a totally new energy for solo travelling! I was desperate to find somebody to travel with me, but ended up alone and this video gave me so much hope for amazing solo/not solo experience! Love from Poland:*
Great perspective! We usually plan our own trips, because we find it (and enjoy) a challenge. But, we might have to consider a travel group in the future. Keep up the good work!
i’m just not agree with the cost part. most of the trips i did by myself were way less expensive then any organized tours i saw. for example, two weeks in japan, for two, we paid 5.5k for the both of us. With a tour, 10-12k for two. Maybe it’s because i’m in Canada. US might be different…
Thanks for the tip… I just started as a tour guide and a tour operator in South Africa and I must say this tips are 100% tops….
Hello Nadine We are a Tour Operator and we organize tours throughout Italy. We have been in the tourism sector for years, visit our website http://www.mytours.it

Hi Trip Astute. back in November of 2014 me and my cousin went with a tour group called Globus. we flew from either Newark or Logan airport into London’s Heathrow airport we stayed in London went to the office of Globus in one of the hotels in London. they went over the itenery with us.
Things I liked about the tour group we got to talk about sports with other people they were telling me that there summer sport is cricket and I think he said they play 20 or so regular season games, we were telling him in the Us our summer sport is baseball and they play 162 games the guy that I was talking to was from Austrila or Austria? I have my picture taken with a man his daughter is from Toronto in the photo he has a Maple leafs hoodie and I have a New York Rangers long sleeve shirt on. we went all over the country side of England we saw the sign of Birminingham where Black sabbath is from. your correct you meet a lot of people and see how they live by talking to them.
Things I don’t like about tour groups we have to get up at 6:00 am NOT PM BUT AM we have to shower have breakfast the bus leaves at 7:30 am this is not a vacation. you have to do what the group want’s to do not what you want to do.
Trip when you travel do you bring a hat of a sports team example La Kings, Toronto Maple leafs, New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, Philadelphia 76ers, Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Black Hawks?
Thanks for this video, im thinking about doing somethimg similuar for, im a British Pakistani and i think it will be good to do somethimg that will promote tourism in both countries
Life is too short. Respect each other and enjoy life to the fullest. Remember that tomorrow is a lie. Love each others culture

Thanks for making this video! I’m an American polyglot that knows many European languages and I want to start a travel agency in Europe! I need to wait because I’m a student, however.
Hey girl, amazing video and great tips on traveling! I never book through travel tour company, but i can imagine how it’s so much easier. I did book like that twice when i went with friends, it was like a party holiday, so it was amazing! Already subscribed <3
Thank you so much evan, this is the exact video i was looking for.I appreciate a lot for such good advice, lots of love from Kenya
Although it’s not as complex as international travel, the solo vs group discussion should also be considered for ski trips. Quite often it’s significantly cheaper with a group, just need to find one going to the resort on your list and see if the dates work. They sometimes even have lodging options too, Ie; ski in/out ($$$) or off property ($). On that note, can you do a review of hotel cards that can be redeemed at resort locations? Marriott’s 3 locations in Park City do not qualify for the annual night (which is only for cat 1-5). IHG & Hyatt are great keeper cards, but my family are only interested in ski destinations. Just a thought for a future video, thanks! Keep up the great content.
its very nice video.thanks for the tips..am in Tanzania also am a tour guide,am about to open my own company
Nadine… What group tour do you recommend if I want to be around people in their 20 to young 30’s with the male to female ratio heavily skewed toward more healthy female. Are most hookups mksrtly toward white males and every other females or equal between races?
God that “done them all” thing can totally be misunderstood
I am mountain’s and desert tours guide in Morocco and I want to sell my tours to costumers so how can you help me please?
Trip Astute Help I need help making vacation plans. Me and my cousin are looking to go on vacation from either November 3thrd or the 4th to the 9th or 10th. we first started looking at Universal in Florida, next he came up with group package with Globus to Ireland he only want’s to do a tour group in Ireland he doesn’t want to go on our own he want’s something like the 2 you suggested I called both company’s up and they said there are NO TOURS IN NOVEMBER Intrepid and G adventures. on our own my travel agent from Liberty said since were not driving Ireland wouldn’t be a good idea. she said Universal would be better. But we have no kids the park closes earlier. I called the Visa signature concierge service they came up with 2 places
Alaska and Cancun watching your video theres Panama and costa Rica.
so for November 3thrd to the 10th any idea’s with a travel group no to far we don’t want to go to South east Asia or Thailand. in Ireland are there any other tour groups that you would recemond or basicly it would be the same as G adventures they don’t travel to Ireland at that time of year? any idea’s as a vacation to go on with tour groups?

thanks you helped a lot! I will say though I always feel like a lot of web sites are kinda sketchy? do you have any recommendations on solo travel tours websites that are safe and reliable?
This july I’m moving to new zealand for the year. I know you did something similar and im wanted to go on a longish group tour of the south island near their summer time. Did you go on any group tour in NZ? Do you know of really great ones? thanks, and I love your channel!
I’m so interested in taking a trip with a group…its’ hard to get some of my family and friends to travel. Great tips.
“Do not be late!”
Ah well I guess group tours aren’t for me after all
Hi Evan….I’m Aaquib co-founder of a travel company focusing only on Zambia. Its a 3 months old company..would like to take a help from you as we are stuck in making proper packages. So kindly help me with some informative material on how to make packages and how to differentiate packages according to the Budget.
I have never done group travel, so I found this insightful. I usually don’t mind sharing a room if it is with a close friend or my hubby! You are right about sharing with someone you may not know as well. It’s good to know that you can request to be by yourself. I like to be with people I get along with because I can save that coin! Being open minded is also super important too, because you meet new people that don’t always think like you do.
Here the real essentials,
1)Insurance
2)Goverment fees, laws etc
3)Trained and competent staff
4)work it out
great advice Evan, i have really learnt alot, i am a tourism management student here in Kenya and passionate about traveling, making safaris and adventure trips. This has made me think of starting a tour company as i still proceed with school. Thanks
Thanks for doing this video! Your advice about doing the extras really inspired me to go for the surfing lessons on my next vacation!
To be honest, apart from the countries of north Africa the only to go on safari is a group tour
I really preferred the blonde hair on you this color makes you look rather pale
Hii Evan, I am a private tour guide in northern India.I want to open a tour company..it will be an online tour company.where people will read feedback on tripadvisor…can you please tell me how can I come on tripadvisor..so I can get the business

Hi Nadine, huge fan here; I was just wondering if you or anyone here in the community have had a really negative experience with one individual on a group tour? I really want to do one but I always seem to attract creepers and I don’t want to be stuck with someone for weeks who freaks me out! Any experience with this anyone? x
Helen, The Penniless Writer’s Guide to the World.
I just feel like going on a group tour (or any tour in general) is cheating
im starting my own tour company, in mount maunganui, tauranga, targeting tourist who come off the big cruise ships, i just need a van, thanks for ideas ill keep you informed on how my new business goes
Hello! I don’t know if you’ll respond but, next year I’m going on my first flight (I know it’s a long time) and I’m going without family but with for a school trip! I’m a little nervous and your videos have helped a lot with that nervousness! Do you have any other tips that could help not stress about it? Thank you!:)
Thank you so much for tour trip services for important points.
Hello Thank you very much im really happy to have watched this video as i am going onto the Website building this week, thank you for points of importance.
I love planning my own trips, the only reason why I would ever consider an organized tour is for the sake of company because I don’t think I’ll have fun on my own. Part of the fun for me is sharing the experience and I can’t imagine having fun solo. Side note: you must be a mind reader man because this is exactly what I’ve been contemplating recently
hi there! i would like to know what are the things needed for me to be able to start a tour operator business in my own country. thinking of starting a new small tour operator business. need your help on this please
You are suggesting that most people travel to Africa and they are more comfortable with clean cut white people (I am guessing that is what you mean by “people who look like you”) who will show them around or advise them who can be trusted. And you do realise that English is one of the two official languages spoken in Kenya?
Otherwise I agree. Wearing a uniform and having professionally made marketing material are great ideas.
1) these are my 2 favorite tour companies because they are Responsible, Sustainable and give back to the local communities. That is one of my top reasons why I would choose to support them first before looking into any others. ( you forgot to mention that)
2) Having said that, I have yet to experience either one of these, but I plan to. So yes, I will but I am on the older crowd side and don’t qualify for the rustic trips for the younger crowd (unfortunately because a would love to stay in a (glass) windowless hut on a beach any day!
3) I am used to doing travel planning all by myself and try to travel on a shoestring. However, never traveled alone. I always had a friend to do travel with. Now its not that easy to find a friend who has the same time off as yourself, so I would probably prefer a small tour than go completely alone. Yeah, cuz that is kind of boring.
4) Cost/convenience/ hassle: Sometimes you look at a tour package and think “Woah! that is so expensive! overpriced!, I can do it so much cheaper.” But could you really? Nickels and dimes add up. And if you really priced it out apples to apples, you may find that there either isn’t much of a difference, and even may be cheaper If a tour company did all the work for you and carried the responsibility on their shoulders and not yours. So, its a toss up. If you love the research and love spending hours and hours putting everything together, like airport transfers, tours, your whole itinerary, and you really value your freedom. by all means, go for it. Personally I would do my own thing but do it with a friend or family member (they actually are my most fun friends!) But if I didn’t have a companion, I would go on a tour. Solo traveler not traveling solo.
5) Safety/Security Ladies, example countries like Egypt. Do you really want the hassle? the stares? The men coming up to you again and again offering something.. Not to mention it really isn’t safe. And then, Can you speak the language? There are places where NO ONE speaks English, I mean not a lick. (side note, my daughter has been in Egypt for the past month and will probably be there for another month. She is staying at a friend’s family home in central Cairo. Her friend is a guy and his mother insists that she not go anywhere alone, even when she wanted to get an Airbnb, they (the whole extended family ) were too worried for her that she decided to continue to stay with them. At first, she felt constrained because she is so independent and was frustrated that she couldn’t just go out for a run on her own. But it wasn’t frustration with the family. It was actually true. She is cool with it now. ) So, Ladies think twice about going places that may be a bit more dangerous for women. Its a cultural thing. That being said, Europe? NO problem. You can go solo without a hitch. Actually anywhere in the world that is a relatively safe country is fine. Australia, New Zealand, etc… there are many places where you really don’t need a tour for safety, only if you want the convenience of having someone else take care of everything.
Hope I answered your questions. Great video by the way. Thanks for it.
Whats the best for a married couple ages 28/30? and what style would be better for us? Thanks
Hi nadine, thanks for the video! I am planning a trip in central america, and its my first solo trip, so I want to start of with a group tour. Dou you have any recommendations for company’s that organize grouptours in central america? Tnx!
Ernest another awesome video! I’m a big fan of traveling solo group travel is find with close friends for sure . Stay awesome Ernest I love your channel ❗️
I’ve never done a group travel tour trip before but I have been considering it more and more recently, or at least I thought I hadn’t till I watched this. I think I went on a group safari tour but I knew everyone in the group (it was a fairly large group) so I never thought it counted. Group travel sounds like a great way to meet people and also quite a laid-back way to travel. I sometimes get stressed planning out every inch of my trips and sometimes want to leave it to someone else, haha. Research definitely seems like the key to getting it right. Thanks for all the useful tips in this video:)
We’re obviously passed the organized tour stage, but we like to book day tours from time to time when we are in a location where we don’t want to rent a car or not have to worry about anything for a day.
Hey Nadine
I am setting up group tours in Australia and great insight and video into how to help with my customers needs
Could you suggest some good websites for booking group tours?
do you know some good tour groups, which organize trips in Iceland?:)
great tips on tour company sometimes it hard to find a good one.
Wow this is a lot of great info. Didn’t realize how much planning goes into traveling.
I keep traveling, so these tips are a massive help. Blogs and videos are always amazing when it comes to checking out reviews. Thanks for sharing this!
I’ve done both and enjoy doing both equally. But you can always add on a solo trip before or after a group trip. This year I did a group trip to Croatia for yacht week… then afterwards went to Italy solo.
Great video! My first “solo” trip to Europe was 60+ days when I was just out of high school. Most of it (about 40 days) was a group trip with Top Deck through Scandinavia, Russia and Northern Europe. I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world! But, yes, long group trips get a bit like living in a dorm 24/7.
That group trip totally gave me the confidence to travel on my own. If you want to travel, but are a bit nervous, I’d totally do a group tour and you do really meet life-long friends on those trips!!
Gateway1 is the best hands down. Affordable, AND one of the few tour companies that include flights.
I’m going on a group tour with intrepid this fall. Do you know the average age of the travelers on this tour?
Hi Evan, thanks for the info, I work at a local incoming travel operator in Brazil, I have lived in the US before, and would like to have direct customers from North America coming over to Brazil, specifically to Iguassu Falls. Any ideas? Thanks, Sebastian
Thanks Evan,
I followed your tips and my company Sundowner Tours & Travel based in Nairobi-Kenya is up and running successfully with daily departures to Maasai Mara. Be blessed.

I’ve excellent idea. For it I need an application. But, I don’t have money.
Great Advice you’ve offered here Evan especially the point around being able to offer services at a premium by following a few simple steps. As someone who helps local people get set up to run tourism businesses as my full time gig you’ve done a great job of breaking down some of the really important but often overlooked basics.
Keep uploading. You need more views. Have you ever heard of SMZeus!?? You could use it to help get your videos higher in the search results.
Great ideas, I had no idea how much plan went into travel groups
This was so helpful and exactly the type of video I was looking for, so thank you! Who did you go with for the safari? Thinking of doing an Africa tour in September but can’t decide between the 2 companies!
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing the valuable information but wish you would avoid the music. It is loud, distracting and annoying.
I always prefer solo travel, but every now and than I don’t feel comfortable in a specific country alone (such as war torn countries, or countries where solo travel as a woman is dangerous)
Hey steve, am kenyan american living in Colorado and looking into starting a tour company. Do you have a website I can reach you at?
I want to start traveling but I don’t have anyone who can go with me due to their careers/families. I’m terrified of traveling alone-where can I find these group at? Thanks in advance:)
Hello thanks for the video, really interesting. I would like to know how to make the organogram of a Tour Operator. thanks
I’m gonna be a pilot and thinking of becoming an air tour business in hawaii
Hey, I really like your positivity. Thank you! Do you perhaps have more recommendation what to watch or to read? Best regards from Johannesburg
This is a group tour any thing that we should know any tips for this i agree that having tour specially with friends be alert on it more on expenses incurred and many others
Very interesting take on things! Personally, I’d rather travel solo. I’m inherently introverted. I like going on excursions in a group, but I’d rather have my own lodging and eat alone. And I don’t do well with dramatic people. So, I’d rather do most of my traveling alone.
Thank you very much for this. I am Kenyan and I am venturing into this business.
The video is very informative.
Thank you so much Nadine!! I’m going to Australia with Contiki in May and this helped me a lot
what are some of your favorite group tours that you have been on?
Hi Evan, i am Tour Operator from Bhutan. at first i really dont have positive idea about how to go about, but your videob really made me feel comfortable and easy.. thanks for sharing this and want to see yourbvideo more..
I went on a group tour in Israel and in Japan, great experience!
if anyone want to visit beautiful and peaceful Pakistan then contact us for guide and facilities in pakistan.Msg us at facebook page (Kiyani Tours And Event Planners)
I didn’t know you can go by yourself on group travel this was so helpful
Very thorough tips! I plan to travel solo soon so this is a great option for me. Thank you!
I have a few questions about the group tours: Provided mealsare they providing local food? Or is it all just American food? (I will not want American food?) My mom went to Israel on a tour group, and all of their food was American, so just asking! Also… Flying in. Let’s say you fly in at 8am, but check-in time isn’t until 2pm and you’re tour isn’t meeting up together until about 3..and you want to start exploring. Where do stash keep your bags until time to check in? (this question is for arriving in Spain or Italy or London)
Great Video
What about laundry when do you get time to do it in a group tour
Yeah, the negatives of group travel are why I don’t do that more often. I’m planning to take one to Israel and will go with a group (2 are on my list depending on my circumstances)but I will pay extra for single occupancy. I’m there for the trip not to hear someone’s life story (there is one in every group, lol).
If I use intrepid or gadventures is it a monthly payment type thing?
sir i wamt 2 set up my own travel comany but don’t have any idea for startup…
I’m trying to plan a solo trip or a group tour. This is the video I needed. Thank you Nadie..
I think group tours a not made for me AT ALL because I love to be able to do whatever I want whenever I want ( that’s honestly the thing I enjoy the most about solo travel lol). Though I must admit that sometimes I’m kinda sad to be experiencing a new place alone and I wouldn’t say no to a travel buddy
Hello friend. I’m looking to start a tourist agency in my country. But I don’t know where to start from… Thanks for this info.
Hi Nadine. what is the best companies do you recommend for the group tours to Asia? Thanks
Hi, I think travel in group would benefit someone like me who wants to travel but scared of it.
Last year I travelled with TrekAmerica. It was awesome. They have really small groups (about 5-10 people, maximum is 13). So it was all really personal. This year I think about going to NZ with Gadventures… some people just told me that the groups are really big and it isnt personal at all… it is just always the same with each group… now I dont know… is Gadventures a good way to travel with young people (I am 19)??
Hello Evan! I am based in Kigali, Rwanda and I am starting-up a tour company. I really love your video, short, simple and informative. As much as I want to do things professionally, I am also in need on how to sell my tours abroad and any other professional tricks in tour operator business. Thank u once again.
Great work. I liked yor video. Perhaps we could subscribe to each other’s channel since we both love travel )
Thanx for the comparative analysis. It’s always interesting to hear about other people’s experiences. I haven’t travelled with either Intrepid or G Adventures, but I’ve recently started my own small group tour company (www.travelmaven.ca) and I have taken careful note of what both Intrepid and G Adventures have on offer, as I have great respect for these two companies. My tours are geared mostly to active adults 50+ (more like the Rick Steves clientele) but good ideas can come from many places!
Thanks Nadine! We do group tours for 21-35 years olds seeking AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES and want to travel like a local, not a tourist.

can anyone please recommend cheap good group tours? until now I didn’t know they exist!
Can you give us an example of a few of these tours that you’re talking about in this video? Or recommendations based on the ones you’re already been on? I can tell that you’ve been on a Contiki, what did you think of them?
I’m venturing off to Greece later this year as a solo traveler. I’ve never been there and have always wanted to go. As a kid, my mother, her sister, a cousin and I spent about 3 weeks on a bus tour of Europe and then a month with a Eurail pass. Very brave of Mom considering this was back in 1973 and English was not spoken that much in Europe! I found an apartment.1 miles from the Acropolis and I plan to spend a long time looking at the ruins and recalling my college history courses. I can do that as a solo traveler. I don’t like to be hurried. Tours were just too expensive.
Right now, I’m planning other things I want to do and see. Anyone ever seen Delphi? I want to, but am unsure of the +$100 price tag. Thanks!! Great video, as always, Ernest!
Hi am from Kenya, am about to venture into the business. This video was very helpful!!!! Thanks!!!!!

Im going on the European Road trip with EFCB in a month
I don’t really travel, but you have very important info for those who do or will in the future. Keep it up. Watched in full, liked, and added to playlist.
Hey Nadine! I’m wondering if you ever thought of going to the Philippines?:) I’ve been scrolling through your asian country videos but haven’t seen one.
Thanks Nadine! Am off to Europe this year in July on a Contiki trip. Super excited. Loved your tips. Thanks e hoa! Ngā mihi nunui ki a koe
I have done five tours with Intrepid: Amazing!
I have done one tour with G Adventures: Worst experience of my life.
You’re right about doing lots of research before choosing a tour to join. It’s a lot more fun when the people you share the tour with are on the same page as you. Reading reviews and social media posts should give you an idea of the demographic.:)

I’ve never considered doing a group vacation before, but I might have to look into it! Do you have a favorite group travel experience you’ve gone on?
I’m going to be doing a group tour with EF College Break next month! I’m going to Belize and its my first time out of the country. I get all my flight and hotel info tomorrow and I’m super excited!
I’ve been with a group tour to Thailand twice, and to India once and it was Amazing 😉
Thanks for the great info Nadine! May have to consider joining some group tours in the travelling future
Have both had a breakup on a group tour AND married a man I met on a group tour. It can truly go either way haha. Embrace the adventure:):P
I am tour leader from China. Thank you for your video, I saw so many tour guides from different countries.
Hey all you explorers, ready to book your next excursion, well come on over to http://www.travelnowdeals.com for all your booking needs!! Hope to hear from you soon!
thanks Nadine! this is really helpful. got really pumped. i make travel videos as well but haven’t tried group tours yet. would love to.
Are there any sites where you can organise group travel without paying through a business??
I’m going on my first real grouptour to Israel this year, I’m so excited!!:D
Totally agree re: group tours are great for solo travelers. That was my experience on Kara & Nate’s Vespa tour!
Hi Evan Thank you for your helpful comments. I am finding that I am more interested in tour operating than guiding but I still want to travel as much as possible. What advice do you have for me to incorporate more travel into my tour operation? Thank you.-Gail
It was very helpfull. I am a tourist guide and I am working in Northern areas of Pakistan (Gilgit Baltistan) I want to open my own tourist company. Can you help me for that like I will need your guidance.
its a good lesson their am trying to start up a tour operator company here in Zambia and I have learnt alot from this video. keep it up
I’ve never been on a group tour, but are planing on going on a Svalbard expedition next year to photograph Polar Bears, this will be a solo trip as it is expencive and nobody else in my age demo. (25) that I know wants to go, and I’m super alright with being on a ship for 15 days with what I’m imaging will be a way older age demographic, you can learn sooo much from people older then you, listen to their stories and enjoy:D
I like to travel solo!
It gives me FREEDOM! I’m free to do what I want, when I want.
I make my own decisions too.
And I meet lots of people because I talk to everyone.
My videos are all about my journey in many countries, meeting people, adjusting, feeling at home anywhere and saving money too!
Happy journey!
This is great lol! I’ve traveled a lot in Europe on my own (my husband and I) but have also been on many group tours. There are advantages and disadvantages to each and she covers them pretty thoroughly. Good job Nadine!
I’ve done a little research and the group tours I’ve found were ridiculously expensive! Sometimes the cost is so high you could go travel for a month or more and visit more countries for the cost of just one group tour!! They are like 3,4,5 thousand (US) dollars!! It’s crazy how much they charge you! That’s enough for two people to go somewhere for a long time. I just wish there was something more affordable.
Have travelled solo and on escorted tours however find listing to all the history of places difficult as I’m not really that interested in history or religion. When I have 5raveled solo I @lways seem to book the Wrong hotels. I’m keen to know which is best
I am going on a 24 day group tour in Europe as apart of a college graduation gift! This video made me even more excited and you hit all the big points as I have researched group tours a ton. Very helpful!
Thanks thinking of start my company,I’m from Zambia tho I got no sponsor❤️
So how can I find one, from tourism agencies, because in my country we don’t have one to do a tour group, so should I book it online or should I book it when I teach to my destination in their agencies? And which one is the best am lost here
Be sure to read honest and real reviews of G Adventures on my blog before you buy. Go to gohonestreviews. com/g-adventures-review/ Thanks, Griffin.
So informative! I was going to do a trip with EF but had to cancel last minute but I had really liked them so far!
On a contiki tour I was on last year, I had to make my hungover aussie roommate get up one morning so we weren’t late for the coach
I travelled in 6 countries(S.E.A) by myself, but I’m thinking to do a group tour (Europe) due to my lack of direction skills. Group tour is expensive but I think it’s worth it.
I’ll start my business as soon as possible your tips are remarkable and helpful
I’m thinking of making a website with links of reviews from trip advisor
and free 1 hour WiFi and waiting area
let them check your website and other options only then get back to you
I did a small group tour a couple of years ago, and it was awesome. It was only seven people and lasted nearly three weeks with most of my time in Myanmar and a few days in Laos and Thailand. I put it in between a solo trip to Thailand and a solo trip to Thailand and Myanmar at the other end. The only problem I had was contacting my insurance company when I need to go into hospital in Myanmar, and a group tour would have made it a lot easier to handle this problem.
The couple on the group had met in Ethiopia when they had separately got off a train and shared a cab ride to the hotel they were both staying at.
hi,nadine.dou you lke china?welcome,come on,i will be you guide,free.
Hello Sir
It’s my pleasure to say thank you for your spontaneous motivational and strategic ideas
could you please make a video about Bangladesh Tourism potentials and Travel Agency Business prospect
Thanks again
Wow thanks for this wonderful Video and kindly look forward more from you. I’m a Tour Operator in Ghana
this was very helpful, can you recommend any website/companies for booking a group trip.
Get quality fake and authentic passports, drivers License, ID cards and many other documents at affordable prices within 4 days. Info: [email protected] gmail.com
is it just me or are there others who would be SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE if the others in the group tour were hooking up with each other and I found out…
I don’t understand wat way this career deals with. can someone plz info me on this.
I want to start a tour operating business. I would like to take groups through Latin America. Starting in one country and moving to the next. All I want to do is help the people with booking the accommodation and travel from one location to the next. But they will go with local tour companies if they want to do a specific tour in a city or town. What kind of licencing would I need for this, and where can I get more information about starting something like this. Would I just be ble to register my tour company in my country, but take tours through other countries.
Hey…any suggestions for Europe tour operators? I am traveling solo, and planning for group tours. Looking forward to your valuable suggestions
My mother has always tried to get me to go on a group travel with her, I’m still skeptical. Idk if I would enjoy the people. BUT I am all for discounts and deals lol
Great video! I did Central America with G Adventures and it was amazing! I totally agree with your pros and cons (though we didn’t have much drama, which is really good considering we were travelling together for 1 month), but ultimately the pros won out for me. There was so much I ended up doing that I wouldn’t have without the toureither because I wouldn’t have known about it or it wouldn’t have appealed to me without deeper investigation eg. doing a cave tour of ATM in Belize or climbing a volcano in Guatemala. On the tour they had people visit our hostel to discuss these activities in more depth so we could make an informed decision. Plus, I just felt so much safer! Even when I went out to do things on my own (we had quite a lot of freedom during the days) I knew if anything happened to me or I went missing, someone would notice and raise the alarm. Privacy is a big thing for me and I am someone who needs alone time, which can be hard on group tours, but I still found time to do it. Admittedly really long group tours can be a bit draining for people who aren’t super social (like me), but I found it was just about setting boundaries and pushing yourself to take those few hours here and there where you just rested up on your own and did nothing. Even people who were very social had to do that at times. There are certain places I will never go in a group tour (E.g Europe because it is pretty easy to travel through and I feel confident/comfortable with how things work), but a group tour is a really great option for places that are a little more out of my comfort zone .
I’m so excited to doing a group tour and I love your videos
Thank you so much for this, I am going to South America for 35 days on a 18-35 group tour and this video really helped visualise what it might be like. Great tips x
I am solo traveller as well. Agree with what you said. Also want to add, booking anything solo can be tough (even g or interpret). They can ask for solo premium, last min cancellation or changes before trip starts (G adventure, not necessarily bad change but it made me super nervous). When travelling with tour and if you cannot deal with your random snoring mate, it will cost you a lot more to switch room. Lastly, even G adventure is a Toronto founded company, but there are a lot of Australian travellers. I travelled with G and 2/3 of my group are Australian.
this was such a good video, got loads of insight and it didn’t even feel like a 17 minute video!
Protip: don’t leave your valuables behind! Left my passport in my backpack at the hotel room in NZ, bus had to turn around and collect it.
50 minutes later we were back on track and 2 german girls had to change their bus connections:\ OOOPS
Only reason they went back is cause of my passport though! If my passport wasn’t in there… “cya backpack”
this has helped mi pliz lets link up at [email protected] as i build my safari company in east africa
Can anyone recommend me a group tour around Europe, maybe a student group tour?
thankyou so much for nice vedio i have learn a lot about so many things
Thank you for this. I’m trying to plan a trip next year and would prefer to do a tour group. Only issue is can’t find one for my dream destination
So lm yussuf l live Zanzibar lm driva of tourism so l want makerting of tourist form Kenya to Zanzibar
Lots of good information. My biggest issue with groups is that I am a morning person and I HATE waiting for people to get going. I often do more before most people even get up. With that said I guess going out and coming back is always an option. Do the group tours often give you a written itinerary where you can go off and just meet back up with them at one of the destinations?
hi this video has educated very much in the line of tours right now I would like to move to TripAdvisor so I say thanks to this video
hey hey! lovely video with lots of great information. I love the filming set-up as well as the contrast of colours. Only critique I have would be to put in some clips of you on your travels or even photos if you have any as it switches things up for the viewer and keeps the video going at a bit of a faster pace x
I’m just coming back from a group tour, and I didn’t really enjoyed myself!
There was a time when I would plan all my tours, mostly because I had a set person or place to see. My last vacation to Australia and New Zealand was with Trafalgar tours and I totally would use a guided tour again if it is a place I am not familiar with or if I want special access to hard to get to places or just don’t want to hassle all the planning.
Thank you so much for this video I’m planning on going on a vacation alone and it’s a bit scary
What will be a a good group travel for a couple ages 28/30? Thanks!
I think the “drama” on a group tour is entirely dependent on the size of the group as well as the age of the people. There is also plenty of privacy, which is what I love about group travel. All in all, I much prefer it. You see WAYYY more of the local culture and sights on a group tour than you ever would on your own. G Adventures is awesome.
For my last few international trips, my family and I booked a private tour guide at each of our destinations. You get the best of both worlds. This includes a local guide who is very knowledgeable about the area (guides are usually native to the area) and can make recommendations re: food, theatre, etc. As far as itineraries and sites, the private tours offer some preplanned lists, but they also offer flexibility in terms of adding/deleting sites from a list and deciding when to visit particular sites. They know the must-see sites and can recommend other places/things to do off the beaten path. And they can allow you some extra time at a site for photos or buying souvenirs. Most offer private transportation as well. And when you’re done for the day, you’re free to do what you want, whether eating somewhere or just hanging out or shopping.
There are also some drawbacks. You still have to be ready at a certain time in the morning to meet the guide. (I think you should start at a set time in order to maximize your time on the ground there.) Sometimes, you’ll get tour guides who don’t know the area or the history as well as they should. Additionally, because private guides are usually paid by the hour, you feel rushed and pressured to make the most of your time there. For booking flights and hotels, you’re on your own.
For safety reasons, I will never travel solo internationally, even if I have a private tour guide. The only times I will travel solo are when I’m in the U.S. and when I travel to cities I’m relatively comfortable with (this includes visiting friends I know there). My last solo trip was to Washington DC. I’ve been there 4 times and I still haven’t seen everything I want to see. I did have some business there, but it was more for pleasure (including catching up with some friends).:) I’ve also been to NYC several times and I would go back there solo to experience everything else I didn’t get to before and to visit friends.
I have another question me and my cousin are suppose to be going on vacation in October my travel agent gave us a good deal on Ireland.
I remember when Globus sent us a welcoming package. They mentioned in the package a lot of things 1 thing they mentioned that we have to have a pin in our credit cards is this still the same as it was in 2014?
I’m from kenya & you coaching using kenya as example. This is very informative
Heck No dot com! We have a good plan together…. No….. I believe in my boyfriend’s suggestions!!!
No! I wouldn’t be stuck with anyone else because I don’t know their travel style.Tourists can be fun for 6 minutes and it’s over.
Group tours to Ghana gives you an easy way to see the country! You are very welcome to Ghana Nadine!
Great video. All the info I need, nothing I don’t. Well done.
Great Video Ernest with great points
I personally did not like the G Adventures SE Asia trip because I thought we moved way too fast to really enjoy any of the sites. As a predominately solo traveler, I do constantly worry about my safety (and I’m a pretty big dude), however, there is also a rush I get when I get off of a plane or bus in an unknown area. I think both experiences (solo and group travel) are valuable to have so that you can get an idea of the type of traveler you are.
excellent tips! if you’re struggling with keeping your TOURISM BUSINESS afloat during the crisis, check out the interview I’ve just released on strategies for travel entrepreneurs struggling in covid times
Nice information but how can one reach American tourists who are planning to travel to Kenya through your link?
Thanks man for this helpful video! Been researching all over the net but you helped me narrow down what to do. It was when you mentioned solo travel good if your going to visit few places or it’s walking distance vs. using group tours if you want to see more further away places. Excited to try G Tours for first time!

This tips are really helpful, thank you So much. I’m starting a tour company in the northern part of Nigeria.. Kano State to be precise. It’s a beautiful city… there is so much to see in kano that our media isn’t showing to the world. And I want to make this happen.
This was a great video Nadine! I’m hoping to do a group tour at the end of the summer! My dream was to do the Yucatan Highlights trip with Contiki but it’s fully booked! Do you have any other recommendations for group tours in Mexico?
I’m more of a solo traveller but finally did a group tour in Scotland with MacBackers. It was a great choice!
It was hostels and stops at the grocery store for self-catering. So the group tended to be more relaxed, content with seeing and exploring rather than fancy foods or hotels.
Many were normally solo travellers like me, so we were a very social bunch, but people were also very respectful if you needed your space.
Thank u for sharing this info..Ive been wanting to go away but I hvent bcz I didnt want to go a lone..You’ve open my eyes to give group traveling a try..
Thanks for this video. I’ve been considering a solo trip to Mexico and have been a little nervous.
Group travel sounds interesting I should give it a try at least once. My wife and I usually like to plan our own trip but with a group we might see more interesting attractions. And I thought you where in your low 30s lol
