However, many brands do not label their chips as gluten-free, and many of these chips may be made on shared equipment.Low Sodium Tortilla Chips. Tortilla chips can easily contain 65mg-140mg of sodium (about 3-6% your daily allowance), and that’s assuming you stick to the usually surprisingly-small serving size!
Luckily some brands now offer no salt added/low sodium tortilla chips, such as Garden of Eatin’, Chi-Chi’s, and Donkey Chips. The Best Thick Tortilla Chips: Santitas A much hardier chip than Late July, Santitas is thicker and has a grainier texture. They also have a stronger corn flavor and less of an oily finish.
Of the 11 varieties we tried (Santitas, Beanitos, Greenwise, Late July, Mission, two types of Trader Joe’s chips, and four types of Tostitos chips), there weren’t any clear losers. They were all perfectly fine takes on your standard tortilla chip, and we’d be happy to snack on any of them. The tortilla also absorbed flavor from the butter we used to grill, which bodes well for enchilada fans who decide to use this brand. Although these tortillas were billed as soft taco sized, they’re as big as some of the burrito-sized tortillas we tried from other brands, meaning that they should work for nearly any dish.Up to4%cash back · Product Title Lay’s Potato Chips, Classic, Party Size, 15.25 oz Average Rating: ( 4.6 ) out of 5 stars 594 ratings, based on 594 reviews Current Price $3.78 $ 3. 78 (24.8 cents/OZ).
Corn tortillas have been around for a long, long time, and have been perfected by many major brands. I need to try Making small changes to my eating. I think i might have gluten and dairy intolerance. My stomach always get bloated and by bloated i don’t mean just a little makes me look like I’m 6 months pregnant my stomach always hurts after i eat and I’m miserable and I get headaches all the time
We miss pancakes….but cant do eggs…they call for eggs. Any advice?
BISQUICK GF pancake mix is the best. I use cashew or almond milk.
Going to have to make my own, it’s hard to find healthy options
Cheerios are not really gluten free, the oats are cross contaminated in the manufacturing process and are not safe for those who have celiac disease I have celiac disease and have severe reactions to it, so Cheerios shouldn’t be on a list of gluten free foods because they are not free of gluten.
Very helpful video Indeed. I’ve always been lactose intolerant, but foolishly chose to ignore it through the years and eat everything and anything, to the detriment of my intestines and my mental health. So now I’ve got no choice but to listen to my body, I’m carefully looking at the ingredients of products before I purchase them. Watching from London UK.
We have tried them all and have found Canyon Bake House out of Colorado to be the best. We just order frozen by the case.
I highly suggest tossing tortilla chips in the oven, just like taco shells. Game changing experience.
Try the Essential brand white bread. You might be impressed.
I saw El Milagro tortillas in the video’s screengrab and thought you’d be giving your input on them but don’t think you did! What did you think about them? Bought a pack today and I only saw stone ground cornmeal, water, and lime.
you can tell someone is a mom wen they ALWAYS mention their kid(s)
My one year old cant have gluten or dairy and he loves the kannickkannick brand. Thank you so much for making this video it’s helped me a lot to think of new brands to try out with him
Great video…… and yes the FRANZ mountain white bread is amazing. They also sell it at WalMart at a much cheaper price.
I have ulcerative colitis too. I try to eat dairy free as much as I can. I’m also a vegetarian. I want to start eating more gluten free. But some friends have told me not to cut gluten from my diet unless the doctor says I need to.
Just found you! My daughter and I have a list of foods we are sensitive too. It’s a total pain dairy and eggs are very bad for us.
Chex have high fructose stuff and made my stomach cramp up not good
Did you review the Milagros Tortilla we love it,! can u let us know if it’s safe to eat it please
Pamela’s lemon shortbread cookies and Graham crackers are my favorites in gluten free snacks.
Luna bars are gluten free and not bad when you need some protein.
Please show us Good healthy prediabetic diet options for Walmart & Dollar Store I live in a rural area that all we have here
Yes, yes, yes to everything you’re showing, use all of these
Costco has the moutain bread too, I love gf bread, best toasted, it’s like artisan bread to me. I never liked bread as a kid, hated the way I felt, then I found I probably shouldn’t have glute,…my dr said go off it completely and see what happens, joint pain gone, muscle pain gone
So you understand, you keep saying gluten allergy, celiac is a disease and now gluten intolerance is also now a disease, it will take years for that information to reach the public. My grandson has celiac, i see my daughter and son in law in you, I don’t know all you’ve been through and currently going through, but know I’m one grandmother wishing continued support from those around you and good health days more than bad for your son. (I’m gluten free also, we have so manin our family that have issues with gluten)
Hi I use to eat the go veggie but I found one from someone on Youtube called Field Roast CHAO vegan cheese it is amazing!!
If you are allergic to gluten dark shade vegetables, a1 dairy with casein and lactose, soy, vegetable and seed oil, legumes, nuts, seeds, and all grains act as gluten in our bodies so stop eating processed foods and make all your food from scratch if you want to heal your son. Adopt the aip diet so he can heal. Stay away from gluten free products. He will not heal if he keeps getting fed processed foods with cross reactive foods that I have listed.
We also live in Tx and shop at HEB. My baby was just put on a strict gluten/ dairy free diet and I can’t even tell you how helpful this video is!!!!! Thankyou!
I love how you care, but honestly who can afford this food. You would have to get a second job to pay for it.
Do you know if Pillsbury Bread Flour is dairy free?
My little granddaughter has a life threatening dairy allergy. I wanted to make her some yeast biscuits. She is almost 6 years old and is sick of her food choices. When asked what she wants to eat, She just says “I’m not hungry” She looks so sick and pale and tired all the time. Thank you and God bless you real good
Hi Petra, I cannot eat grains. Do you think it’d be possible to replace the corn with raw califlower? Thanks so much!
I’m not vegan, but all your contents are really interesting. Seriously!!!
My Walmart here in Stockton, ca now has coconut wraps, all clean ingredients
I would highly recommend trying base culture’s sandwich bread! It’s non gmo ingredients with a short ingredients list, no tapioca, and unlike other frozen breads it’s really easy to break apart with a knife without destroying your slice. It is on the pricey side but I felt like it went a long way.
that doesnt look bad at all! did u have any troubles while making those nachos? they look great.and when the onion is raw isnt it heavy for stomach?Im not used to raw onions. very nice recipe.great for hang out nights
If you had gone gluten and dairy free in your 20s. you would have not gotten Hashimotos disease
Omg this video was so helpful! I’ve recently gotten sickwe don’t really know what’s wrong yet but it kind looks like an autoimmune thingand now I have to make a diet change. I’m a college student with my family hundreds of miles away. I just wanna be normal and eat like everyone else and feel satisfied with my meals (being hungry makes me feel sooo bad/sick). Plus, learning how to cook my own food while keeping a budget AND keeping up with Engineering coursework AND being sick and tired… I don’t know what I’d do without my wonderful boyfriend and his mom.
Anyway, this is all to say, I really appreciate you making a video with gluten-free/low-dairy food options. Your son is a teenager and wants to eat teenager foods like me. Your family are regular people and wanna eat regular people food like me. I really appreciate you normalizing this sort of diet and recommending foods that I actually see myself eating and feeling happy for doing so!
P.S. I’m also a Texan and I LOVE HEB. I miss it so much here in north Dallas. I still use all HEB re-usable grocery bags (they’re so pretty!). Thank you again for the great video
El Milagro tortillas does make non-gmo that has just corn, water and lime for ingredients. I found them at my local Mexican grocery store.
You should take off the pic for the Milagro tortillas. You didn’t review it.
I like “Garden of Eatin'” chips! Expeller pressed oil, clean ingredients and very tasty.
Hello;
So this is a great informative video.!!
I have been a diabetic for 19 years, most foods have a bizarre taste to it, ( I think because of the “Gluten”). I have never seen any of these products, of course, I will look for them soon.
I am always looking for gluten-free everything.
Ok so like I said great video. Great Cinematography, Great Audio, Great Editing, and Great scriptwriting, you were never at a loss for words.
All the best Shaun of NYC
Thank you! My son is struggling with irratable bowel, I will go gluten free and hope it helps. I really appreciate this video, as a worried Dad I am convinced gluten is our problem.
Thank you for making this video! I’ve struggled with finding a lot of good gluten and dairy free substitutes. Your son is lucky to have a mom like you to help with his dietary restrictions! It is not easy.
In the UK we have an app we can download and many of the products come up as a smiley face or sad face on the app in relation to if they have gluten in them, but not all products. So, it is good to learn to read labels and ingredients. It is good that usually have them in bold here.
I do not store it in a freezer though do keep it in the fridge, as most of the bread in shops tastes terrible. Oh have a slice of this 3 times more expensive bread that really does taste terrible. When I feel like some I usually bake my bread. Even when you compare the slice of bread with its wheat version and cost comparison it makes you wonder, why so many people do not see the downside of a Gluten Free Lifestyle.
Have had some one tell me that my methods of a gluten free life are wrong. Just hope that they do not ever need to follow this lifestyle, which for most of us is not a choice. Whether you have a Wheat Allergy or Coeliac Disease / Celiac Disease or unfortunately for the likes of myself I have both food allergies not just to Wheat but other foods and Gluten.
And my kid loves the gluten free sweets cause she has a sweet tooth she always get them from the sugar market
For the past 3 months I cannot find the On the Border organic blue corn chips at my local Wal-Mart! I am very disappointed.
my son can’t have cow dairy but he can have sheep, goat and buffalo milks and cheeses.
The Food for Life sprouted gluten free flax bread tastes better
Fruity Pebbles and most of the other flavors of Pebbles cereal are G.F.
You need to try the Chao cheese slices! They are amazing. Literally better than normal cheese.
I love this:D I am definitely not a teen anymore but it’s quick delicious processed foods like this that i sometimes feel sad i can’t easily access. Australia is getting better but the variety is still not as big or as tasty xD Also the prices are insane. May i ask how much your weekly food budget is on these gluten free foods? Sometimes i get reluctant to buy that bag of chips i really want to eat just because it’s $5. Luckily i’m only feeding myself and buy myself those treats sometimes:D You’re such a great mum for caring about your kids health so much and still providing them with the best gluten free foods out there to allow them to not feel excluded:D
Be careful with company’s like general mills and betty crocker….they are made in the same factory with gluten products….same with Domino’s some locations have gluten free pizza, but its cooked in the same oven as gluten products…..fyi…
My issue with most of these breads is the egg after taste in most of them. Schars is my favorite bread for sandwiches. I am so happy you made the video. Now I can see what options I got:-)
I think I seen those turmeric and coconut tortilla wraps at Walmart
Actually if people would fall Dr, Peter Osborne’s of Gluten Free Society..Org will get current information. No rice, no corn, it has a form of gluten in it.
I’m new to gluten free. I was so sad thinking I would have to give up all my favorite goodies. I’m so relieved! Thank you!
Great detail video! I’m barely starting my transition to gluten free. I m taken notes of your video. I’m new to your channel…I’m happy I found you!
Thank you so much for this information! I have been having IBS type symptoms and I am trying to cut out gluten to help with my symptoms, gluten free is new to me, thank you so much for the information.
Have you tried Jessicas gluten-free granola? It’s delicious! Found at Whole Foods or amazon.
The “Monkey Fighting” and “Monday to Friday” lines were actually Samuel L. Jackson’s idea. I heard about it on some episode of Every Little Thing I believe.
We have a three year old son that is allergic to gluten. He is obsessed with donuts and never has had a chance to taste one. THANKS TO YOU that will very soon change! Thanks again for posting the video!
Do you hav an app we can use to scan foods and see if they are Bobby approved?
these guys have a weird aggressive under tone and i cant decide if its genuine or not
I know this video is old but if you see this, what foundation primer and make up do u use? It looks so pretty! Thanks, I hope you see this!
If you are allergic to yeast as well, PLEASE note that Gluten Free ≠ Yeast Free as mentioned at 2:54
Most gluten free breads almost always contain yeast, as does every bread featured here. Yeast is what makes the bread rise. Gluten free breads are gummy in the middle because the lack of gluten means lack of structural integrity to capture the air made by yeast in your bread mix, and these breads have to try and make up for that with replacements (xanthan gum and tapioca starch/flour) that don’t quite match up to gluten, and result in less air pockets and thus, a denser, gummier bread.
Thank you so much for this video!!!
My son has eczema and everyone says going gluten free will help his skin but it has been so difficult. And dairy is a problem if its not limited.
So glad you said Greek yogurt didn’t seem to be a problem because I am a huge fan of Greek yogurt.
Great info… i already eat most of the food you spoke of, the rest i will look for! thank you❤️
Did you know celiacdisease Is relatedclosely to thyroid issues? They seem to run in your family. Is all aboutautoimmunity
Just want to say thank you for sharing all this great information❤️
The BEST dairy free ranch or Caesar dressing is by Hampton Creek. They make 100% plant based products. You might have seen the “Just” brand, Just Mayo. There is a Just Ranch and Just Caesar dressing and it is *Amazing*!!
Interesting that you object to tapioca on nutrition grounds (“empty calories”) but the bread you like the most, that is the most “like white bread” has the most tapioca. By comparison, unenriched bleached refined wheat flour has only marginally more fiber and protein (which is why they enrich it). Some things you learn when you try to bake gluten free at home: it takes 3 different gluten-free starches or grains to replace wheat flour. Each flour replaces one thing that the wheat flour does. Tapioca is pure starch, so it replaces the starch content (why flour sticks to itself). The other two flours provide fiber (body and crisp crust), and protein (chew). So while tapioca has no protein or fiber, brown rice, oat, potato, or many of the other flours provide twice as much of these things per gram as white flour does. It all evens out in the wash. Also, keep in mind the ratios: in a typical recipe for a “healthy whole grain” bread, tapioca is less than 15% of the total flour, and less than 8% of the total weight of all ingredients. Have you tried Udi’s? Seems to fit most of your criteria.
Another option for a soy sauce substitute that is gluten-free is coconut aminos, and it’s really good in most Asian dishes!
Such a great resource, especially for kids!!! One brand that I didn’t hear you mention, but is definitely worth knowing about, is SO DELICIOUS yogurts and cheeses made from a coconut base! We have a cooking show for kids with food allergies/sensitivities (particularly gluten, dairy, and nuts) and use So Delicious, as well as many of the other products you mentioned. Super helpful info, thanks!!
get ORGANICVILLE DAIRY FREE RANCH off AMAZON for your son… it’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY tastier than that Daiya stuff. I highly recommend it!
In west Africa we use palm oil to cook so is that bad? Please can someone answer? I’m still used it
Yup, I love those corn dogs…and after being around real corn dogs at the fair it’s nice to have that option
This video must have been so expensive to make jeez I cant imagine buying that many loaves
Man its so easy to make gluten free bread that actually tastes like bread with only a few good quality ingredients. All commercial GF breads suck. That’s a fact and an under statement as well. Don’t be lazy, make your own bread, people!
I never get my canyon bakehouse from the freezer… and it lasts me a decent time in the fridge once opened. Definitely one of my favorites.
See this is why I’m fat this is too much information for me to remember
You didn’t mention Udi’s.
Also, what is the problem with Tapioca starch? I make my own bread now but buy the Bfree rolls.
I just found out I had a wheat and milk allergy and I am so grateful that this exists! I love snacks and obviously being a teen means eating a lot of them lol so thank you for making this video! It’s super helpful:)
Have you tried Solstice Organic Turmeric Tortilla Chips from Costco?
I wish I could find this type of recipe withot globs and globs of cheese, but I haven’t been able to,but Thank you for not using so much cheese
Mythical beast husband works at NASA JSC for 10 years. Rhett and Link come the week we’re on vacation.
Don’t eat bread much, but this Canyon Gluten free bread is always in my freezer it really taste like real bread, great for my avocado cucumber tomato toast, top with everything bagel seasoning yummy
if you want to make your own GF bread, google gluten free bread that doesn’t suck and look for recipes and videos by Jillee. Her bread makes delicious sandwiches for the first three days then you have to slice and freeze the bread and toast it later. Great review on the store bought breads.
All this bread cost 499$ so thank you for taking one for the team and doing this. I buy canyon bake by the case.
I just found your website I love it!! Such clean eating food.
Sounds absolutely wonderful… I don’t have a dehydrator, but love the idea.
Yes..I have never bought gf bread because I was afraid it would not be good!!! Thank you!
Please read the 4 NYT best seller books by Anthony Williammedical medium. He explains the reasons why wheat flour is so unhealthy.
If you ever get to the Minneapolis/St Paul area or northwest Wisconsin look for a bread by Green Bakery. It’s made in Colfax, a small northwest Wisconsin town. It is a vegan bread that is free of everything people are commonly allergic to. They use olive oil which is less processed than canola and the like. Even with all those recipe challenges they have good texture and flavor.
Hi, I saw this and thought I’d watch to see what you recommend. I had to smile when you gave Canyon Bake House a 4.5. I agree; it’s pretty good. Once I found this bread I haven’t tried any others. I don’t eat bread too often, but when I want a sandwich or toast, Canyon Bake House is worth it, if you can’t eat gluten.
Goodness, I’m so happy I found this video and your channel! Texas mom as well and I have an auto-immune disease and ADHD. I’ve recently gone dairy-free for 4 weeks now, but in my research see how beneficial going gluten free would be for me as well so here I go diving in! I feel like a fish out of water but am trying to replace staples in my pantry and fridge of already family-loved recipes and I’m so grateful for videos like these. Will be binging your channel for sure!
Oxidized and heated flaxseed is not healthy. Makes the delicate omega-3 fats go rancid. Rancid fats cause accelerated aging.
Be Free has a decent gf bread but, they use canola oil which is a terrible omega 6 oil. Can’t find a good one that doesn’t have nasty ingredients or high carbs. Also wish they would test foods for glyphosate, seems to be in everything lately.
You gave props to Essential Baking company for using pear juice concentrate and plum puree instead of straight up sugar, but it did have granulated sugar towards the top, which has been my issue. Does anyone know of any gluten free sugar free bread brands out there…
gluten free a concept pushed somehow by vegans early on.. and now they had to admit grain free for dogs is acutally dangerous recently.. just like the goverment pushed transfat and margerin as better fo r you in the 90s. we will find out just grow you own food is the only way
He spent the first half of the video talking about “there’s better stuff at Whole Foods” later in the video,
so just skip to 12:05 for the Whole Foods segment.
“All but Gluten” is fantastic. I’ve only ever seen it in a small grocery store. I would rate that higher than your Trader Joes (from having both) but Trader Joes makes the best garlic toast hands down.
I have children with celiac they like canyon multi grain for the shcool lunches it’s the best when you cant toast
Trader Joe’s gluten free bagels!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t waste your time or money on anything else, try them & thank me later!
Thank you for sharing all these Gluten free breads.
I think gluten free is best toasted, and you did mention this idea in the video
Im stating a lower gluten lifestyle and your help is so appreciated
Glutino’s recipe was better before they changed it. BTW Gluten free bread always need to be toasted…
Just to be sure all tortillas are gluten free.
That said, it’s better to eat organic corn tortillas.
What’s a good reason not to eat tortillas?
Canyon taste absolutely like cardboard to me. No flavor whatsoever. Udi is my go to bread. I actually like slightly gummy bread. My only comment is that throughout this video, tapioca starch sounds like a dreaded enemy. Tapioca starch is pretty much in gluten free bread. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/tapioca#section8
I was diagnosed with celiac 11 years ago and at that time it was almost impossible to find GF bread and what you found was truly wretched. For years, after I found Udi’s White bread and after it was highly recommended by America’s Test Kitchen, that’s all I used but each slice is tiny! It makes a very little sandwich. I recently moved to Oregon and I found the BEST, the MOST PERFECT gluten free bread, bagels, hamburger buns etc. A local or regional bakery called Franz! I now, even if I wanted to, can’t leave Oregon (altho Washington State has it too!). Tip! they’re ALL much better when toasted.
I have never kept my Canyon bakehouse bread in the freezer to use. I keep it in the fridge and it stays perfect. My completely favourite since it tastes, feels and smells like real gluten bread imo.
What is it that Link whispers at the very end of the show???
For these breads (ik everyones saying toasting them is best) do you thaw them but just letting them sit out?
Thank you for this vlog. I have been gluten free for 5 years. I am Gluten intolerant non celiac. Most of things you showed are also my favorites.
I nearly wasted away and improved after eliminating gluten had all the symptoms of celiac disease. I’m convinced now that candida was the culprit, I fought with supplements to no avail but calcium bentonite clay taken internally for heavy metals and lots of super saturated potassium iodide seems to have done something because to my amazement I stopped reacting and eat whatever I want now.
Hey guys! I don’t have an instagram otherwise I’d try to contact your grant winner, Lauren. Absolutely love her idea!! Been wishing to see something like this come back since I buried myself in these when I was 9 after my parents divorced. I have a great idea for Lauren if she ever wanted to go another step with it. Stay mythical guys!
I keep Canyon Bakehouse in the fridge, but never the freezer. Some stores sell it in the freezer, but like Target it’s just on a shelf in the bakery.
Hi, my daughter is suffering from celiac disease can u plz recommend us more products of Gluten free.
Cheerios aren’t celiac safe, but yes the chex are! I just had two of those vanilla cookies before finding your video. Walmart’s gf cookies are also really good
I’ll save everyone a lot of time. All gluten free breads suck.
I love canyon bakehouse! It’s the only one I’ve tried that I like. I haven’t tried rudis, just schar and Udi’s and they aren’t my favorite. The others you tested aren’t available at my grocery stores.
Hi and thank you for your video, I have been Celiac since I was treated for Cancer. No choice. I am a survivor and have been eating Schar.bread but have been wondering Canyon bread. I greatly appreciate learning about the breads. Now I will definitely try Canyon.
You guys should have people on who speak unique languages and they have to guess what language they’re speaking. Like the “guess who’s laughing” type of videos

Now you know the life of someone with Celiac Disease ♀️
Personally, my favorite is the multigrain from trader Joe’s! Canyon’s gluten free is a close second, but the unrefrigerated kind is over $6 in my local store and not always worth it
I’ve tried so many gluten free breads. I’ve ha tut ed them all! They all taste like fluffy cardboard
Have you tried Udi’s flax seed, whole grain gluten free bread, I’ve seen that this one sells out first at my local health store. This one is very good, but expensive. I generally only buy this when It’s on sale, although I’ve seen it at Food Maxx for a good price. Udi’s also makes a bagel that is really good tasting and yummy toasted, I don’t care for any other bagel but this one. Udi’s brand is the best that I’ve tried so far.
Can you make recipes for omega 3 boosts? I have lupus and I was told it helps. I’m not a huge fan of salmon.
Thank you so much. I’m lactose intolerant gluten intolerance I don’t know how to explain life is hard on me now I have something to eat.
I bake store bought corn tortillas in the oven on the rack @ 250 F for 10 mins for tostadas. baking them a day ahead of time helps them crisp up!
Canyon is my favorite. I do need to eat gluten free being celiac and still learning so thank you.
Can you please specify the quantities in your videos? That would help novice cooks…
Julian Bakery is actually the best gluten free bread products I have found. I have a flax intolerance which is also put in gluten free bread instead as a binding agent.
Thank you…very helpful…. I try to look up gluten free recipes and they are all so fancy? (can’t think of a better word)…and my nephew that lives with me likes basic food….tacos are now on the menu tomorrow night!
How about alcohol video. What can you drink if put for healthy dinner?
If you can get your hands on the Happy Camper brand, give it a try. The ingredients are one of the best I’ve ever found. The classy slice and cinnamon raisin are bomb. Tapioca is far down on the list. The taste and texture and not 5/5 but for a more daily bread I love it for the nutrition.
I think Kinnikinick and Walmart have the best tasting GF bread to me.
found a jumbo container of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet $8
Canyon Bakehouse is my our favorite (my son and I like it the best) but we also like Trader’ Joes for French Toast. I’ve not seen the other one you rated as 4.5 before.
This video was very helpful. My daughter was just diagnosed with celiac disease. Very very helpful!!! Thank you!
I eat dairy and gf now as well. Highly suggest you watch Flav City with Bobby Parrish. You are into reading labels but not the fine print that is super super important. You should check out the natural flavour video and the oil video and the sugar one. It has totally change the way I eat and read labels and I’m not tricked by the front packaging and labelling
I’m 80% bobby, 20% the person sneaking cheddar pringles behind his back.
Please do low salt also. I am on a low-salt diet because I had a heart attack.
Hi, u r amazing the public needs 2 know about food what is good and what us bad keep us well
Thank you for making me aware of the products or crap to avoid. You make a difference.
I have psoriasis and my doctor and almost everyone that sees it tells me go gluten free… I’m honestly thinking about it
I never seen chips made from scratch (only potatoes)! Awesome video!!
I’m really enjoying your channel! You’re a great cook & instructor and your voice is very calm & patient!
I love your videos, but I would love if you just acted like a teacher and didn’t have to get into the massive background on each ingredient.
I bet certain brands HATE to see u vlog Bobby! Like oh hell, here comes this guy…we’re bout to lose more coins ….. Thanks for this. I grocery shop online and have them delivered by Instacart. Best thing since sliced bread! Now i can scroll and read product ingredients with ease.
Gluten awareness I feel is comparable to when we started to understand smoking wasn’t healthy…we are behind other countries. It’s estimated that we are under diagnosed, humans cannot process gluten, can lead to leaky gut…gluten inflames our bodies, inflammation causes diseases so it’s linked to many diseases. Improve your future health, go gluten free. I can tolerate foods that used to botyme because now I’m 100% gluten free, the inflammation is gone! Thanks for the video!
Hi Marnie,
I totally understand how it is trying to feed growing teenage boys (I do not have my own children yet, but I do have 4 brothers in middle school and high schoolwrestling team, football etc.). If your son is craving Pizza WE highly recommend the Daiya Gluten Free and Dairy free Frozen Pizza (Meat and Veggie style). We too are not huge fans of the Daiya Cheese by itself, however the Pizza is phenomenal. YOU GUYS WILL LOVE!
That’s true home made corn tortillas is the best and healthier
i dont feel special for knowing all that nasa stuff through ear biscuits anymore ;(
The best gluten-free bread out there is made in Colorado Springs, Colorado by a company called outside the breadbox. It blows every single one of those you have on your table out of water. And it’s vegan.
thank you so much for these very informative videos!!..and delicious recipes!
Why does gluten free bread not have yeast if yeast doesn’t have gluten
I literally got an ad in the middle of your video for the “old paso” tacos with dessert… right when your video continues, you go straight to the old paso taco shells and completely destroy their brand because of the ingredients! Hahaha for a second i thought it was intended for that to happen but then realized you clearly are not supporting their brand
Y’all should mention the price difference between theese tortilla chips cuz I’m pretty sure those santitos are like 2 bucks while the others are 4$ and up
There are not any real gluten free breads on the market. People with gluten allergies can not eat any of these breads. These breads are not made for those with allergies. People with gluten allergies can not consume grains due to the damage done to our intestinal tract. We can not consume gums, cane sugar, vegetable or seed oils, dark shades, nuts, yeast, baking powder (contains corn), soy, corn, and dairy. These items are cross reactive and act as gluten in our bodies.
There are wheat Chex so not all are gluten free, just so you know.
Do you like corn tortillas or flour tortillas better and why?
Pretty much all those Ben & Jerry’s dairy free ones have barley and malt (yes they’re the same thing but they have it two different times) in large quantities
I like the sprouted Ezekiel tortillas… they are great sprouted….
Very helpful….I read ingredients… so few tortillas I can buy…
udi’s is my absolute fav I’ve only tried one other kind though because I’m very picky but I tried schar and hated it. But udis makes everything taste so good.
the 4g net carbs tortillas are really good for you! i got recommended from my nutritionist and been on them for 1 month and lost 22 pounds:)
I loved this video. I was diagnosed in 2017. My dr’s do not want to admit that food has an influence on UC… But i ignore them, and do what I see works for me.
So basically, healthier ingredients equal worse macronutrients, and unhealthy ingredients equal better macronutrients.
They should’ve asked if Josh could join them for the space food tasting. Honestly, Josh should just be with them all of the time. I love his chemistry with the boys.
you guys are a great find thanks, here in the UK we call expeller pressed oil “Cold Pressed” for all your fans across the Pond 😉
Hi Marnie, any chance you’d do an updated gf shopping/cooking video? Love your ideas!
Thank you so much…I just recently became gluten free because of severe migraines. This has helped me so much!
Ty for making this video. I just got told I have a wheat allergy and it causes all kinds of issues in my body so I’m on the gluten free diet as well
Hope when you decide to make your own foods, that you sell in Canadian stores too, ☺
I like the white corn tortillas which are called Pepitos…paper thin
wow… really? tostitos are the best? you guys clearly have no palate. that decision has made me visibly upset.
Lovely video. For the Guacamole not to tern dark put in the dish the seed first and then the Guacamole covering it and wrap with Kling plastic wrap and there you are. Keep in the fridge until needed.
Bobby, I recommend “Sanissimo” oven baked corn Tostadas and “Sanissimo Salmas” oven baked corn tostadas tortilla chips. You can find them in Amazon.
Wish I could give you 5 thumbs up for this video. Running to Whole Foods tomorrow. Thanks again for a great review.
I’m a two time cancer survivor and survived a heart attack, so I need healthy foods, glad you’re doing these videos because I’m learning so much! Thanks Bobby
I think I would have to try a sample of mushroom coffee before I committed, because it sounds disgusting. But I would be open to a sample
No all tortillas are gluten free. Now is a tortilla now corn and wheat mixed. Gross. Bes tortillas go to a tortillería o a taco truck, or a Latin supermarket.
Juanita’s is best corn chip, can get in Kroger. Oily restaurant style.
Tinkyada Pasta has the best texture for gluten free spaghetti and linguine. The pasta has the right al dente bite.
Thoughts on the Built Bar? It does have natural flavors but curious what you think of ingredients. The website presents their ingredients as being “best in class” so to speak. Thank you!
Also with jalapeños the spicy ones typically have pointy ends and the mild one have rounded ends
I have celiac disease. There is a gluten free Texas toast brand and it is SOOO good
Glutino used to be my favourite, but not since they changed the damn recipe. Now my favourite is Udis soft white bread and kinnickinnick English muffins!!
Hey Bobby I love you but please put all the stuff the way you found them
im glad link mentioned chili’s because those are the BEST CHIPS AND BEST SALSA, change my mind try me
I’m currently transitioning to a gluten-free diet. Thank you so much for this video!!
I really would love to try magical mushrooms to help with my anxiety
Great video just thought I’d share that some cheerios not sure if all but they have trisodium phosphate which is a chemical and causes auto immune diseases. And the nature’s Valley oat bars have it as well. They pack it in to so many cereals it’s nuts
Celiac here…..I’ve been through many gf breads in my time. The best ever is Kinnikinnik bread for sure.
When asked to stop filming, do you ever just say, “NO, I’m good….and just smile and keep filming”? I know you don’t but WHAT A TRIP THAT WOULD BE……TO JAIL……hahahahhahah.. Don’t try this!!!! (:
Can you have the Siete tortillas & chips when in Keto? I just started Keto.
Homey don’t play that . Great info as always. I’d love to see a series of what you eat in a week and how much it costs. I think alot of us want to eat better and are willing to pay a little more but still we have to be budget conscious.
Purchased the SIENTE Tortillas, taste great but high in carbs
I needed sprouted tortillas for a recipe and Trader Joe’s didn’t have them. I bought “Carb Savvy Tortillas” and got home and read the ingredients and there were awful ingredients in them.
Chili’s chips and salsa is BOMB! Great…now I’m craving them at 1am…sigh.
First of all I just want to say thank you for theseI was the kind of person that did not pay attention to the labels and it was until I discovered your channel that it really made me think about what I’m putting into my body I never thought that something so simple as reading a label would be a life-changing not only for me my whole family thank you so much for posting these videos first chance I get I’m going to buy your book can you please something in regards to saltine crackers fishy crackerscheese it’s because typically that’s what we were giving as a little snack for my granddaughter but I’m going to look for other alternatives don’t get me wrong she eats lots of fruits and vegetables but we’re changing we’re making a lifestyle change and I’m very grateful for you guys for bringing out this video
Don’t drink Four Sigmatic. They had to put a lead warning on their packaging because of their low-quality products.
I like La Tiara hard shell tacos the ingredients are really simple, they are small, but at least I get a little crunch with my taco meat. I’m gonna have to start making my own tortillas. I was using the mission whole wheat carb balance.
I love you food reviews, I don’t feel the need to be as strict on certain ingredients, but you really do help let me know what’s out there, and it’s been a life saver.
I’m not sure what you mean by gluten free bread does not have yeast…. yeast is gluten free and I use it to make GF bread
Great video as always. You brought me back to the time we lived in Lakeview. That was the Walmart on Broadway that we frequented (although I personally preferred Mariano’s). Who knows, maybe you were our neighbor at some point lol!
Udi’s multi grain is my favorite bread. Canyon makes the best bagels.
of the ones you have, santitas are best, but juanitas are best
I appreciate this video. Some of this I was already eating. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and alot of the research I have done is basically saying to go gluten free and limit dairy. So finding food I can eat right now is a big thing for me.
Look into La Fe tostadas. They have only 3 ingredients. They’re made in Texas. I believe Laredo.
On the Border cafe style tortilla chips are the best for dip/salsa. HyVee margarita lime tortilla chips are the best for just eating.
Thank you my husband @53 just got diagnosed gluten free and we are lost lol
On The Boarder Chips are better than tostitos. My entire family never buys anything than On The Boarder Chips
Love the Tostitos mini round chips most, but Santitas are hard to beat for value.
Gluten makes me look 7 months pregnant. Changing into gluten free now I’m only 3 months
Link. If you really want curly chips, try Mrs. Vickie’s. Canadian chips.
Best tasting I have ever had is the Franz gluten free 7 grain. You can now order online!!
Thank you your husband eat and talk, if not hahahaha yummy yummy.
They are both so MONKEY FIGHTING sexy in their own MONDAY TO FRIDAY way!!!
The super thin chips are ‘Cantina Style’ for Tostitos, and they are the best.
Bobbie, I am on board except no dirt fungus for me thanks.
I love salsa but my body doesn’t do good w carbs so the tortilla chips never work ;(
6:05 Needlenose Ned, Ned the Head! Don’t say you don’t remember me because I sure as heckfire remember you!
Nice recipe:) but the corn chips are not raw like it says on the tittle, because you baked them, so that’s the cooking process for this. Cheers!
Bring back the live Q&A on Bleak Creek, I wasn’t done watching it
Missed opportunity on Rhett’s part at 10:25 calling it the “shuttle nose” rather than “shuttle schnoz”
My dad works at the nasa in Houston and usually gives tours around to famous people who come in, I’m gonna ask him if he met Rhett and link (he probably has no clue who they are though because he doesn’t watch YouTube)
god i’ll do anything for steve i am just look at her absolutely to be worth dying for
My friend owned casa Sanchez and if it’s not number 1 I will cry
Rhett and Link, when you come to Dallas, you need to get a bag of chips from the restaurant El Fenix. They’re the best!
Also my self have a kid that is gluten free and dairy free and I get it how it can be hard to find the things that are expensive but she is really picky about the food but hard for her cause she has my other daughter who eats only bread so she is always like why is she eating that in front of me tell her to go somewhere else
I must admit when I had to go gluten and dairy free a year ago, I was scared at how restrictive my diet would be. The alternatives out there is growing here the UK. I have ibs so I have to be careful and found a gluten/dairy free diet does help a lot. I use to travel to asia but it would be a pain to work out what food has what. I fancy a trip to America because I feel they have the best range of gluten/dairy free choices in the world. Also I had my first pizza in a long time the other day and it was lovely!!!
Wonder if they learned about the joys of using the restroom up there.
Santitas is my favorite I guess link will like them cause they are thin and good salty.
My favorite chips are the chips from Mexico Chiquito which is a Mexican restaurant here in Arkansas I don’t know if they are other places but they are super thin and go well with there salsa and cheese dip.
You said HEB and I was like YASSS!!! Lol so excited to try some of these items!! Thank you!
You are fantastic! Diabetic, I who on dependent. Told to stay 15 carbs. Such a help to me. Will watch and learn.
If corn chips were a joke, they would be a dad joke.
Get it?
I love how the ISS Food Station Manager talked so tour guide at Rhett and Link. Adorable and admirable presentation sir.
I love schar multi grain. I have tried rudi’s udis, canyon bakehouse, that rice one and some other one that I really hated and it was left at my grandparents house and I told them to just trash it because it was that bad. I alway toast my bread. I have tried many of the gf bobs red mill stuff also. There was a gf bagel i tried and it was ok but not the best. I have tried many gf raps and i have not found the best one yet. I am not 100% gf right now is becasue im not working and im at home. I get bad headaches, rash and stomach pain that hurts really badly!
At around the 2:59 mark, you said that gluten free breads don’t have yeast. However, I think you meant to say gluten.
These guests were just sitting a tree p l a t o n I c a l l y
They dub stuff in post with the actual actors im pretty sure
Hola me encantan tus recetas pero me cuesta mucho trabajo traducirlas ya que se muy poco inglés!! Será que pudieras traducir tus recetas por favor!!!
Slice of Life Bread is by far the best all natural ingredients tastes amazing and it’s also low in carbohydrates.
http://www.sliceoflifefoods.ca
Take brown rice tortillas bake them and put everything but the bagel seasoning g
I really like Canyon House but our stores stopped carrying it:-(
If no dehydrator is that possible just use regular oven without dehydration mode?
So funny teenagers snacks are huge lol I just heard I have celiac and need to go gluten free you make it sound so easy and delicious! Going to the store this afternoon:)
If you put a coliflor boiled light On picó de gallo, now you have a ceviche of coliflor, or lentil little green sproud, that a ceviche of lentil all vegan.
Holy crap does your food always look awesome!! Keep up the fantastic job! Oh and hello from fellow BC’r in Tofino:)
Nice video. I will have to get pen and paper and write them down.
Ian it also casein free and milkmprotein free too?ppl always mix these up
I wish someone would market these raw corn chips but without the salt. It looks delicious!!!!
Thanks Petra. Your suggestion makes a lot of sense. Flaxseed is great binder and the steamed and drained califlower with the flaxseed meal should work out. I appreciate a lot your input.
I’m a jealous nerd. The space center would be cool enough without eating the food too. I read Hawking’s work, enjoy reading various works to do with space…. I actually loved Link’s one NASA shirt and bought it when I found it.
I live in Chicago. And I ibuy tortillas from Milagro and they’re NON GMO!!!!!
Gracias Bobby for teaching me soo much about choosing our food!!!
If you put the avo pit back in the guac before refrigerating it also helps keep it from browning
Lady, your husband does not like cilantro? Deal-breaker, come on and cook for me.;-}
These recipes look so simple (yay), delicious & nutritious!! Thank you for sharing:)
L❤️VED this! I would definitely like to see more of these. Can you do pastas that are gluten free or healthier versions of pasta?
You said you use a food processor to make the chips. Can you grind the flax seeds in the food processor? Also, a pizza wheel might work well for scoring the chips.
Love this corn chips recipe, thank you for sharing with us
How about a recipe for GF bread Made in a crock-Pot! Yes, apparently it can be done.
Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering, if you don’t care about being raw and you just want some homemade baked corn chips how long would you bake them in the oven? Would you be able to tell me the directions for that?
My sister hates dairy free cheeses and refuses to eat them at all anymore. She does love the daiya cream cheese though. I think she’s only tried the strawberry one but you might like some of their options. There are a lot of almond milk options now for coffee creamers and even whipped cream that are dairy free. I’ve never liked whipped cream but that might be a fun treat for your kids.
I love Schär products!! You get them nearly everywhere here in Germany. I‘m not allergic to gluten and dairy either but since I avoid eating it my digestion and skin got much better!
How heavy is the almond taste? I don’t like almond or coconut. But decided to buy almond flour bc I need some type of flour to cook with. So far, I’ve thrown away everything I’ve made bc the taste of almond is too strong. I’m literally one of the pickiest eaters on the planet.
My mother has been pestering me to try this recipe. I finally gave in and oh my. They were so delicious. Thank you. I will be trying more recipes.
How many carbs are in these chips? Also do you list how many carbs are in each recipe/serving you create?
Ooooh yum! Kind of similar to fathead, but in tortilla form. Have you tried frying these in ghee or avocado oil? We’re wondering if they’d hold up.
