Hey everyone. I've been working part time (4 to 10 hours per month) at a MAT (Suboxone) clinic. This is the second Suboxone clinic I work for as I have another gig that I do 80 hours per month for addiction med and I do another 150 hours per month or so in urgent cares. I'm less than one year out of residency and have been approached by the clinic that i work only 10 hours per month asking if I can become their state medical director. They have 3 clinics open in my state, maybe 60 in the whole country, and are expanding more clinics in the state. The current medical director, who was one of my preceptors in residency, had stated she was only going to be there temporarily and suggested I take over to them. Before I talk to them about it in a few weeks, I wanted to know your guys' thoughts, what does it mean to be a medical director, what is fair compensation, etc… What are some points I should be thinking about? Am I too inexperienced given that im only close to 1 year out of residency?
