Thanks for a great video. Just one thing with regard to protein. The only source of incomplete protein is animal gelatin and honey. The plants are better for us as they don’t flood the body with excessive available energy and tend to be lower in the sulfur and IGF1 raising amino acids. It’s impossible not to hit the WHO protein targets with a sufficient calorie plant based diet. I’m not promoting plant based diets, but the combining foods for complete protein is an outdated mith going back to the 70’s book “Diet for a Small Planet”, the body pools amino acids and uses them very intelligently. The current surge in protein bars and drinks is just lining us up for kidney dialysis to go along with our diabetes.

I go by keeping the caloric intake low. I don’t care if I have fatty food or carbs etc. but those foods will be high in calories, so gotta keep portions low.
Do a little bit of math on what you eat in a day, and you’ll realize how damaging a few pieces of chocolate are for example. You may have a breakfast that is 500 calories. And then you learn those four pieces of chocolate you chose to eat is 150 calories. I could easily eat a bar in a day. Bad idea!
And some people burn more calories than others naturally. I’m guessing height plays a part, but also depends on what you do for work for example.
And sone healthy foods are also high on calories. So be careful. (Hazel nuts for example)

Is the idea to be skinny or healthy? I believe a person’s aim should be living a healthful life. I have multiple aunts who lived into their 80s and 90s, and they ate meat. The difference, however, is that they prepared their own food and ate from primarily farm-fresh ingredients. There is very little nutrition in that particular lettuce he has on the table. Also, the fruits he’s chosen are relatively expensive, especially when they are not seasonal. This video concerns me a little, although I will admit that I see the bigger point he’s trying to make. Less junk, more nutritious food choices.

Does Custokebon Secrets really work? I see lots of people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets. But Im not sure if it is good enough to lost a ton of weight.
I would imagine Cheese in pipes is much different than how cheese would react after going through the digestive process with digestive enzymes etc. and the body doesn’t even have any calorie receptors.
I am surprised that spaghetti was recommended??? That is something I have avoided for years and have always heard is not good for you. Hmmm

I watched your video today and couldn’t agree more of everything you said. Simply put, we just have to avoid processed foods in our daily diet. Couple of tips you failed mention “eating out”. We’ve become so affluent as Americans that most of us eat our three to four times per week if we don’t actually eat out, we order in takes outs and deliveries. I also took particular interest in your comment about chewing our foods, at least 40 time. Tonight, we had grass fed beef steaks, stir fried home grown veggies zucchini, onions and squash, tomato salad with sliced mozzarella cheese and Japanese rice. I carefully counted my chews and discovered that rice and steak required the most chews over 70, while chewing mozzarella cheese and tomatoes required about 40 before they became totally liquified and slid down my esophagus. so your rule of 40 chews need to be adjusted for the particular food one happens to be chewing. I also think Americans eat way too big portions. Typical Asian entrees have 2 to 4 ounces of beef, fish, chicken but the typical American entree call for two to three times that. Look at most recipes they will call for 6 ounces of beef per serving. Your video will cause us to start making our own pasta sauces and salad dressings instead of the store bought, prepared stuff and read the labels before we but. Lastly, I never realized the benefit of green tea. Wife and I prefer red wine but I will definitely begin drinking more green tea. Thanks for your research.
THIS IS SO HARD TO FOLLOW! she drones on in a monotone, then jumps around saying one thing, then LATER down the line, fills in the blanks to what she said before, as she speaks some things don’t make sense. In one instance she is talking about “carbs”, the Kashi cereal being hi carb. (it is but it is HIGH FIBER and it ANTAGONIZES MY IBS! I cannot tolerate it) She says You take the FIBER away from the carb amt to get the total carbs, but SHE SAYS to find out if it is high carb you take away the PROTEIN? SO,WHICH do you go by? She said a Bran Muffin is a good choice because of the FIBER, so you DON’T check the Protein in it OR THE SUGAR?? The whole thing is difficult to make sense of. THEN we are supposed to be MATHEMATICIANS TO TRANSLATE Protein KILOGRAMS & GRAMS per weight? OH PLEASE, WHY doesn’t she just give a number range (ie: A -X KG per day for 180-200 lbs)? THEN she DOESN’T SAY TILL MUCH LATER, you need to count FIBER and PROTEIN, THEN count the sugar but doesn’t really give any guidelines as to what amounts you should be looking for. ALSO I doubt unless you are eating PLAIN YOGURT that you would eat 3 per day because of the sugar in the flavored ones, AND MAYBE NOT EVEN THEN. I eat TONS of salad & vegetables DAILY, I barely eat 1000-1200 calories per day and I have GAINED weight so none of this really works for everybody. I couldn’t even EAT 2000 calories per day. THIS has been a major waste of time

Things evolve. Nowadays it’s all about having as much olive oil in your diet as possible to the extent if you can drink the stuff even.
I started following a WFPB no oil about two years ago due to having researched nutrition as I had some chronic illnesses and was referred to cardiologist. My cholesterol was thru the roof plus other bloods out of normal ranges and I had for years been a runner and thought I’d been eating healthy. After only six months of wfpb my cholesterol, and other bloods normalised. I feel so much better, I have always been a decent cook but now I make so many more dishes using options and mixing foods I’d never have thought would go before! I feel great, people have commented many times on my skin and ask what creams I use. I don’t feel anything from my arthritis or my other chronic illnesses.
So yes if you want to continue eating meat, dairy, oil fine but look up what it does to your body and perhaps cut it down if you can’t or don’t wish to cut it out completely, you will notice a difference in your health.
Oh and I eat far more now than I ever did due to the calorie density, as per this video.

Wow, this person points out obvious things, so that when she makes wrongful claims they seem knowledgeable. Of course, bleached flour and high fructose corn syrup are not nutritious. High fructose corn syrup is not the same as naturally occurring sugars and will be processed differently from other sugars. It would be like a human being trying to process cellulose as if it were glycogen. Humans only have the enzymes to cleave alpha glucose linkages, not beta linkages (the stuff trees are made of). Aside from sugar, your body doesn’t contain the enzymes to process and cleave trans fats. Nature as we know it, for millions of years, has only evolved to produce cis fats. By me knowing these few facts (and easily findable in a biochemistry text book) does not qualify nor give me the right to sell you some “miracle” supplement that may contain ingredients that will either do nothing, or have useful ingredients that could be purchased much cheaper someplace else [mark of a network marketing scheme (pyramid)]. The problem is, no matter how advanced science and medicine become, svengalis on the internet will be able to take advantage of those who would have no experience or knowledge to know they are being sold “snake juice” using bits of real science or research as the frame work of their straw man. While that may be 500 calories of yams, it’s also 2 days’ worth of carbs! He doesn’t say that a serving of pasta is tiny-about 1/8th what you get at a restaurant. (And that assumes no garlic bread with the meal.)
Filling up on pasta puts your carbs through the roof, and the body thinks typical pasta is white sugar. This brings on diabetes, especially if it doesn’t include meat, or at least fat.
Studies show we should never eat carbs alone. Always include protein or fat, or the pancreas and liver have to work hard to keep blood sugar stable.

Rule #1 about nutrition. Never listen to a young persons’ advice about nutrition. They don’t have a clue about nutrition in the first place.
I don’t care if somebody is a nutritionist, doctor, dietician or obesity researcher. If they are under 40, I’m almost certain they don’t understand nutrition.
Young people lack the experience to understand it.
A young person can basically eat anything they want and still feel great. It’s older people who have eaten a standard American diet who have gotten sick and fat who have had to question the governments’ advice and actually experiment with different diets to find out which will make them healthy.
Some older people never figure it out.
The sources I listen to about nutrition always have the same story…the same story as I have experienced…that the advice about diet and nutrition we get from our doctor or the government has lead to nothing but sickness, weight gain and feeling crappy all of the time. At some point, we all have an A_HA moment where we realize that we have been lied to by the government. We all figure out that standard diet and nutrition advice has been misrepresented by the government and commercial interests as well as egotistical researchers who forced this bogus diet advice on us in a pursuit of profits, prestige and ego.
The truth about nutrition has nothing to do with the advice you have learned from the establishment sources.
It is really easy to figure out nutrition once you see it from an evolutionary and genetic perspective instead of a establishment, profit motive perspective.

This completely ignores the importance of protein, balancing blood sugar, and that fats are necessary in small amounts. Many of the nutrients in salad will not be absorbed without including some fat.
Studies show that 1 lb of produce per day is beneficial (that’s like 2 cups greens + 2 cups other vegetables (including starchy ones) + 1 medium fruit or 6 ozs. juice + 1 cup berries or melon). More than that is too much fiber and sugar to effectively absorb the nutrients, avoid gas, allow sufficient calories for necessary protein and fat, etc.
I do not believe in calorie index. Not sure what I did one day but had a whole pizza (normally gives me 5 lbs) and other foods yet I gained zero weight

I disagree with this line of thinking. New studies have shown that low fat is not a healthy road to travel and nutrient dense food is more important than low calorie. Lettuce is NOT nutrient dense. Healthy fats are not bad for you either. Everyone is different in what works for them. When you eat nutrient dense food, you don’t have to eat as much.
