Baked Apples with Olive Oil Crumble Recipe. INGREDIENTS. 4 large apples, cored and hollowed out 2 ⁄ 3 cup flour (the ladies used regular white) 2 ⁄ 3 cup almond meal 2 ⁄ 3 cup oats 1 ⁄ 4 teaspoon salt 1 ⁄ 2 teaspoon apple pie spice 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 ⁄ 2 teaspoon orange extract 1 ⁄ 2 cup extra virgin olive oil. DIRECTIONS.
Lightly Extra Virgin Olive Oil baking dish for the apple slices. Preheat the oven to 180°C. 2. Toss the apples, brown sugar and cinnamon.For the crust: 1 1/2 cups instant oatmeal 1/2 cup coarsely ground blanched almonds 1 cup whole-wheat flour 1 cup sugar ½ tsp. cinnamon powder 8 tbsp.
Extra.For the topping: in a small bowl mix together flour, butter, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon and salt. Press this mixture on the top of each apple, covering jam.Combine milk, honey, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and olive oil in another bowl.
Pour evenly over oat mixture; do not stir. Step 5 Bake in the preheated oven until top is golden, 30 to 45 minutes.Your sliced fresh apples are combined with cinnamon and topped with a crumbly mixture of flour, butter, and sugar. This simple recipe goes together fast and you will have a great fruit dessert for the family. Feel free to add chopped pecans or walnuts to the topping mixture for added crunch and flavor.
Pour the melted butter over the oat mixture and mix until combined. Top apples with the prepared crumble; spray the topping with cooking oil and bake for 40 to 45 minutes in a 350˚F preheated oven. If the top starts to brown sooner than the apples are done cooking, tent a sheet of aluminum foil over the crumble and continue to bake until done.
To make the crumble: Combine the butter, cinnamon, vanilla, whole-wheat flour, oats, salt, honey, and brown sugar in a bowl and blend with your fingertips until homogenous. Refrigerate until needed. 3. In a medium bowl, toss the apples with the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
Instructions. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (176 C). Peel apples, quarter, remove cores, and use a paring knife to thinly slice lengthwise (see photo). Add to a large mixing bowl and top with remaining filling ingredients.
Toss to combine. Add to a 9x13 (or similar size // as original recipe is.Apple Crumble Baked Apples. Today we’re taking two of our favorite desserts apple crumble and baked apples and combining them into one easy dessert for fall.

A filling of tender, cinnamon laced apples topped with a nubbly crunchy, golden topping. You’ll love how this Apple Crumble isn’t overly swee.A sweet, crumbly cake mix mixture is spooned over sliced apples and water, and baked in a 9x13-inch pan until the apples are tender and the topping is brown and bubbly.

… just put sugar and whatever. In the apples. I think raw sugar is better than brown. Also, one tablespoon of water per apple and reduce baking time to 30 minutes. They will roast instead of boil, you’ll get caramelized apples that way.

I bake often, please please use the finest quality cinnamon that is affordable and makes store bought taste like sawdust. Penzy’s sells the finest quality spices for very very reasonable prices (in varying quantities as you wish). The customer service is excellent, have bought them for gifts for many many years. I am only a customer, when I bake I want the finest most affordable spices! From my childhood the cinnamon that I remember happens to be the extra fancy Vietnamesesweet, strong, full flavor so you use LESS but get more flavor. The box store brand is very poor in comparison. Okay here’s how you make a real healthy one:
Cut the apple in the same way, put them in the pan and if they’re bitter apples, add a table spoon of maple or honey to cut the bitterness (but I usually don’t and it’s fine and then add about 4-9 tablespoons of water to the pan depending on if the apples dry up during cooking. The about will produce their own syrup when they are cooked, now add cinnamon and nutmeg to the apples as they did, now you’re done with the apples. I would suggest if you don’t want to use butter, use milk and eggs for the moisture to bind the crumble together

Good video & I note you avoid the use of a pastry base which simplifies everything. Apples are always an issue, they vary a god deal. Consider using rhubarb for about 10% of the fruit filling, it adds greatly especially if the apples are not top notch. Also bear in mind this was traditionally an economy dish, you don’t need a huge amount of apples & a good crumble can be a bit thicker.

Idk I tried this recipe and if came out tasting so bland and sweet. It tasted like I was just eating sugar with water….I suggest you season the apples as you would for apple pie. Also, brown sugar tastes better for the crumble than white sugar.

I made this. Followed everything to the recipe. Everything was carefully measured out. It was incredibly sweet. The crumble was more moist and chunky than what it looks like in the video. It also took a lot longer to brown in the oven.

I added 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg and it came out so much better than the original recipe I tried. Plus I used Macoun apples instead because they cook up and get soft in half the time. I made this dessert in 15-17 mins instead and was able to take it ‘as a last min dessert’ to a family cook out.
