Great information! Really helpful to know the fiber and protein content of the grains featured. Thank you!
I think I might try the diet and see if I find a difference on how I feel
Hi, everyone on my dad’s side has it to one degree or another.
My younger brother’s kicked in badly when he started puberty, and nearly cost him his life. But me and my older brother’s didn’t kick in til we turned fifty. Then i started getting really painful bloating if i ate just a slice of bread. Have gone gluten-free now, but probably should have done it a decade ago.
Now my Dad’s has been confirmed and he’s in his seventies, and my half sister and one of her children have now both tested positive.
I was born with celiac disease. Been on the strict glutenfree diet all my life. People always say “it must be hard” nah, you can’t miss something you don’t have from the start. I don’t mind.
I’ve had Celiac’s for over a decade(diagnosed) and I still dont know why I’m here
This video is amazing! It helps me remember of the time when my wife used Custokebon Secrets to get rid of 18 pounds and enjoy being healthy again! Many people wish to lose fat, however we also require to stay nutritious, and that’s what exactly Custokebon Secrets gifted.
Whenever I eat macaroni I have stomach cramps and constant using the bathroom for like an hour
I’m allergic to wheat and egg white
It is very hard to find gluten free treats without egg
I have it its not a diet its a disease check your wording
If you are gluten sensitivity or have celiac disease you should not consume any grains. ALL GRAINS ARE CROSS REACTIVE.
If you didn’t have Celiac and you are gluten-free, you are simply an idiot.
Who else is here from ms lannons 1st year class lets go boys
So bc of constant asma por 3-4 I decided to stay away from wheat products….. not only did my respiratory issues ended but my constant migraines and abdominal bloating and most inflammation also ceased!!
I am not on a gluten free diet, but I am gluten free. Yes it sucks
I was forced to be gluten free and IT CHANGED MY LIFE!! Took away depression, anxiety, skin rashes…BUT it also caused such inflammation in my brain (and body) that I have to get neurofeedback treatments to correct brain waves affected by leaky gut syndrome (gut is called “the 2nd brain”) which was caused by gluten!
Diagnosed to be celiac. My only symptom is being bloated (but who doesn’t get a bit bloated??!) so it’s really annoying that I now have to change my whole diet because I feel no different from it
Why was this on my recommendation. (I’ve been put in a gluten free diet btw)
Do natural popular weight loss method like Custokebon Secrets really work and if so, how effective are they? We have heard several amazing things about this popular weight loss diet plan.
I was born with celiac disease. Just today I got sick, threw up a whole lot all because I ate gluten pasta on accident.
Brown rice tastes like shit and is harder and longer to cook:(. And my whole wheat bread in al stores al contain gluten:S i’ll just stick with quiona and oats lol:p
I live in Finland and i have celiac disease but it’s normal thing in Finland and other Nordic countries. And i was 10 years old when i got celiac disease and now I am thirteen:DD
I am less anxious now that I am gluten free. Unfortunately, I am now depressed because I can’t eat pizza. What a great tradeoff.
Sorghum, quinoa, oats, amaranth, rice..
Thanks AN.. I can’t tolerate gluten w/ my diverticulosis.. It always causes a flare up..
I discover that I have gluten intolerance years ago…after I went gluten free for months I felt the difference, I was all weak and tired, having brain fog, anxious when I was consuming gluten….
i was diagnosed with Celiac when I was 10 (13 now) whenever I have gluten I violently puke for a couple hours. Anyone else have side effects like this or are some of you guys like almost dead when you have it. Just wondering.
I’ve been diagnosed with a lot of illnesses(both mental and physical) because of my celiac disease.
I have dermatitis, borderline anaemia, lack of vitamins, weak bones, delayed puberty, anxiety, very rarely depression, it makes life hard, but also makes me unique, I’m the only person in my school who has it, it’s awkaward sometimes but I guess You learn to live with it.
Our kids are genetically gluten intolerant, same as my husband. It’s not too bad, though!
I have celiac disease and can’t eat gluten or dairy, it makes me really sick.
I have allergies around my arms and other places when I eat too much gluten, my doctor said I can still eat things with gluten but not too much
Gluten is inflammatory, doesn’t matter if you have a desease ot not. Because they put a lot of it in things.
I have celiac disease. For 5 years now and I don’t know why I’m here.
So here’s the problem! I have had Celiacs Disease ever since I was a little baby and I didn’t even know it so my parents just kept feeding foods with gluten in them! I kept getting sick and I wasn’t gaining any weight. So I went to my doctor, finally! She told my that I couldn’t eat regular bread anymore! The truth was at this time no one really sold anything “gluten free” in the stores! So for the next seven years I was stuck eating these weird foods every single day until people realised that we need more of “gluten free” foods in our life! So here I am today!
EoE, but possibly an allergy I now am more tolerant to?
I have no idea other than the EoE but supposedly not celiac.
Everyone oversimplifies this and doesn’t get it. Good video.
Can anyone tell me any thoughts on why gluten gives me heart arrhythmias? My gut is perfect eating gluten but my heart can’t handle it. I tested negative for celiac but positive for gluten sensitivity. Even the cardiologists are stumped as to why gluten makes my heart freak out. I welcome any thoughts! Thanks! 😉
I appreciate your video, but I was expecting you to also discuss mental health related to the consumption of gluten. I have friends who have benefited from gluten-free diet and that’s why I want to try it too. Anxiety is an awful mental disorder.
“Non celiac wheat sensitivity” to me means diarrhea, vomiting, severe bloating, hives and itching if I get it on my skin and asthma if it becomes airborne, aches and pains for up to a week after the diarrhea has subsided, longer if I’ve really abused myself, a few other things not for polite conversation….all with a negative celiac test. I react to wheat, rye, barley, and to a lesser degree oats. I wish more research would go into non-celiac wheat disorders. Cooking for my kids and husband (all normal) would be so much better and less…exciting if a “fix” for them could be found. On the other hand, it was wonderful to discover what was causing me to feel that way and to be able to learn what normal life felt like as an adult. But I would never recommend a gluten free diet if you have a choice. Gluten and wheat are magical ingredients. So glad my kids don’t seem to inherited my issues.
My health class is forcing me to watch this during quarantine and I don’t even have it
You didnt include or mention Duhrings Disease, aka, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, an auto-immune inflammatory skin disease caused by gluten, with no digestive symptoms. There is also Gluten Ataxia, a brain condition caused by gluten. There is a lot more to gluten than just celiac!
I was sick for many decades and finally found out a gluten free diet stopped me from being sick. Imagine my confusion when I found out I could eat wheat flour if I soaked it over night. So confused.
My dad has celiac disease he was diagnosed in his thirty’s and he’s 50 now. I have acid reflux and throw up if I don’t eat in a day over night rn I’m sat here bloating and about to throw up cuz ive just eaten and feel sick now.:c
Sorghum contains kafirin. Oats contain avenin. Rice contains orzenin. These are all glutens.
I was diagnosed with a wheat allergy 8 years ago, I have none of the symptoms mentioned and most of the celiac symptoms. Thank u, time to ask for a test.
OK you have got to stop lumping all types of diabetes together. There are two types. Type 1, an autoimmune disease that is caused when the immune system attacks the beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. It is not caused by eating white rice or eating any of the other high carb or junk foods that the media links to the development of TYPE 2 diabetes. Why is it so hard for the media to add the words “Type 2” to the word “diabetes”? When you just say “Increases the risk of diabetes” you are saying something that is not true. Do you not want to give people watching your videos the correct facts? Do you know there are actually children dying in the US because their type 1 diabetes goes undiagnosed? It’s important to give clear information about these diseases so people can a better understanding of them and their differences. Please help!
I can’t eat gluten or anything that goes near it because I break out in hives and my throat begins to become tight. Any cross contamination will make this happen too. Please explain what is wrong with me, because doctors don’t know and CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) say that it is one of the worst gluten allergies they have ever seen.
i deff didn’t have any delayed puberty or slowed growth, ahaha. idk if i even had it back then…but i grew up fast and i’m 5’10”!
If i get diahrrea whenever i eat oats? ( i dont eat bread)
Does that mean i should stop XD?
hmm i dont trust luckycharms they taste too good like cherios it says its gluten3 in the box but what if the oats isnt
Dang! This is a brilliant resource to explain about GF and coeliac’s! It’s short length and easy to understand, perfect for when people are asking me stupid questions. Now I just need one about type 1 diabetes!
Gluten intolerance is straight up a symptom of vaccine damage. I know, had a neighbor who use to eat wheat until she got vaccinated w/Hep B vaccine and then eating wheat triggered instant pain-inflammatory arthritis, so she stopped. The vaccines are GMO. Hopefully there is not too much GMO wheat around and we can still save the genome.
I have Celiac Disease 100%,
Heres my story (You can stop reading if you don’t want to hear it ;w;)
So around my ages of 0-5 my parents had not known that I had gotten celiac disease from my father, so they fed me gluten for almost 5 years, I threw up everyday and had to get so many blood tests, I was completely weak.
Eventually they found out and it took me so long to recover, since that I was always able to tell if something had wheat.
It gave me a sense if something was gluten just by being around it or touching it, so I knew what I couldn’t and could eat.
So for anybody else out there who has Celiac disease, just know you’re not alone UwO
I’m 12, i’ve been suffering from it for years so if you’d like to talk, i’m here and i’m free UwU
Quinoa is NOT gluten free according to Dr Peter Osborne author of No Grain No Pain
Rice gives me chronic indigestion. what the hell is going on it’s supposed to help it
Other studies show brown rice to be worse for us than white?
You missed flax and chia seeds. 😉 maybe you should do a top 10.
I’d love more videos pertaining to the topic of gluten sensitivity and alternatives. It’s demystifying.
First of all when you buy the grain make sure is says Gluten Free. Its got to be on the package. If the grains are in a bin you run the risk of cross contamination and that’s on you.
My breakfast cereal is a combination of grits, quinoa, brown rice, oats, amaranth, buckwheat, and millet.
I take 1/4 cup of each one with 2 tbs of chia seeds, run it through my mill and measure out 1/4 cup. It comes out to 324 calories and 53.5 g of carb.
I really like this combination
But what about the lectins? gluten is a low grade lectin and for instance if quinoa is not cooked in a pressure cooker it contains for me anyways gut irritating levels of lectins.???!!!
Brown rice contains a ton of anti nutrients. White rice is way more digestible
1. Sorghum
2. Quinoa
3. Oats
4. Amarant
Are gluten free, but it were pseudo gluten and it’s also cross reaction for the people with gluten sensitivity.
So it were not recommended.
Two years ago I became very sensitive to gluten, plus can’t have milk or wheat. Now my test for gluten sensitivity was a 67, it makes me very sick, extreme fatigue that last almost a week from just a little bit of gluten, it makes my head hurt, and feels like the worst kind of drunk that I have ever felt and never want to feel like that again. I can stop the feeling or calm it down at all. Gluten causes a prism like spots in my vision, and vertigo type feeling. Milk makes me have very bad headaches. Before all this happened to me, I never had a problem with any of it that I knew of, drink alcohol with no problems eat whatever I wanted. Now it’s hard for me to find good foods that I can eat and don’t mind to eat. Fruits and vegetables not a problem at all but I’m not a rabbit so eating them all the time is hard to do. The stores in my town doesn’t have much of a selection of gluten and dairy free foods and what they do have cost a lot more then the normal foods and when u don’t have a lot of money for foods that u can eat, you get stuck eating crap that’s not very good for you like processed canned meats,ok they say they are meat but sometimes it’s hard to believe. I have lost over 40 pounds just because it’s harder to find foods that I can afford to eat and that’s good for me. Always willing to find new foods so if anyone has a thought no matter what it is of what foods could be good, I’m all ears.
I’m celiac and my dad’s inside joke remains to be calling me “glutard”
I have no symptoms of Celiac disease but my doctors said I have a 99.99% percent chance of having it and I need to go on a gluten free diet
Thank you. Please add that Turmeric is also a blood thinner. Let’s check the others too. Blessings
The components of gluten (glutenin, gliadin) are found in plants besides wheat, barley and rye, and may be problematic for some.
So i definitely have celiac disease. Just need to get tested
Thank you. Helps in making wise food choices. Please comment on how to use them. Also what about chia seeds, flax seeds and hemp seeds. I also would like to know about greek yogurt and hummus. Do you have any recipes or know where to look for using or making these?
Don’t flax seeds have to be ground before use?
Thank You
I am celiac and I eat gluten but I have no symptoms, if I continue to eat gluten am I still in danger?
I can’t be the only person with diabetes and celiac that saw this, right?
I have a wheat intolerance but I love to bake….. I’ve known for like two years after being sick since… forever haha
As a scientist gluten intolerance is a new thing just like all these other strange exclusive diets. Celiacs disease is a condition where there are issuse with gluten its uncommon and doesnot occur in large amounts of the population its only i the last 10yrs gluten intolerance is a thing we have eaten bread for over thousands of yrs without a single issue. Same for saturated fat
Really the issue for me here is we are comparing industrial proceseed breads to old production methods which are not compareable
However you can be alergic to wheat in which case its to do with the whole wheat not the gluten as gluten is one of the many other compounds preseant and testing has not bee done to identify the molecules resposnible
Organic chemist
You should have included teff. It’s packed with many nutrients, including iron, magnesium, and calcium. It is great cooked. And it can be made into a flour with a high speed blender or food processor, best used in baking when mixed with other gluten free flours.
When people are like oh the mob I’m like you mean modified food I mean I can modify anything you want if I’m in a shop
If you have cealic, would an allegry test for wheat come back positive too?
Has anyone used the Custokebon Secrets to lost crazy amounts of weight? Just do a google search. On there you’ll discover a great suggestions about how exactly you can lost tons of fat. Why don’t you give it a chance? maybe it’s going to work for you too.
Gluten is one of the proteins in all grains, 80% of it is in Wheat.
I get pain in my sciatica when I take in too much gluten and gliadin. Eating the grain free lifestyle is very effective for me to reduce the inflammation in my hip and sciatic area. Seems dropping grains and starches is a great tool in the management of sciatic pain and inflammation.
Kudos for the Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you tried Franaar Wonderful Face Formula (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one of a kind product for getting rid of keratosis pilaris without the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend got excellent results with it.
Buckwheat is way better then brown rice & wild rice or sorghum. It has complete protein, lots of magnesium.
Are you really going to give credit to a study with a sample size of ten? Worst science ever.
Finally, I created my first bread that is really lovely to eat, and delicious. But I am cooking my way to health, with no Gluten and no dairy, and it is working as I lost 2000g, now let’s see. I am making delicious meals and I am happy with the results.
Hi
Your animated vedio are so helpfull
Thankyou

Endoscopy is the only sure way to diagnose chronic coeliac disease, rather than a simple wheat allergy or sensitivity.
https://www.healthyfoodhouse.com/were-not-gluten-intolerant-were-glyphosate-intolerant/
Gluten is hidden in things like preservatives and many words on food labels I have never heard of. Google has helped me.
I am a Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach who specializes in working with people with gut and autoimmune issues. While I can agree with much of what you are saying regarding the nutrient content of these grains, people with these types of conditions need to temporarily or permenently avoid grains like these, or soak or sprout them to remove a good percentage of the anti-nutrient lectins that fuel an inflammatory response in the body. Same goes for nuts, beans, legumes, and seeds…sometimes nightshades as well. I agree though, that these foods can be great for those people who are generally healthy to include moderately in their diet, if well tolerated.
My 4 year became gluten intolerant after she became extremely ill w/ the roto-virus. She was fine till then. I believe the intestinal bug changed her forever. Now, I wish she would have gotten that vaccine.I am not a vaccine pusher either. My kids are homeschooled so I am behind on all of the vaccines except the main ones. Now I have bought all necessary flours to make our own gluten free food. Baking Gluten free is a Damn CHALLENGE.
What is the best product or brand to lost crazy amounts of weight? I read loads of good reviews on the internet about how Custokebon Secrets will help you lost tons of fat. Has anyone tried this popular fat burn secrets?
I have multiple sclerosis and cut out gluten to help decrease inflammation. My pain decreased and my walking improved, and bonus…my gut didn’t hurt every morning. 15 pounds fell off me. Ive been cheating. Need to get back on it.
Ayyyy Celiac here. I was diagnosed about 10 or so hears ago. If you have any questions, I can see if I can answer them
Aldis is good about marking everything gluten free if it is. The broccoli is good too. Yummy.
It’s not hard. Don’t buy anything that does not say gluten free. I eat cheese, corn chips, beef, advocados,, buttermilk ranch dressing, potatoes, oatmeal, Amy’s meals, but everything I buy says gluten free or I don’t buy it. I eat eggs too and chocolate but only if it says gluten free. And salsa. But only if it says gluten free. I only buy cheese that says gluten free. I’m starting to pig out on whole coconuts too.
lol i’m here after being diagnosed with celiac for a year and a half…
I’ve had celiac disease for 9 years I was diagnosed at 8 years old and have been having blood tests yearly
If white rice is eaten with a protein source it is broken down into your body at the same rate a brown rice! So no different as long as you aren’t eating white rice by itself!! Enjoy:)
My doctor told me that I need to go gluten free bc the inflammation in my joints. I went without for over a month. Still hurts.
Both my daughter’s are gluten-free, I have some great recipes https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGr3YVw1gdTi57sQmc24ghA
