When any study is adduced to supposedly “prove” that the low fat/healthy whole grains diet can ameliorate chronic metabolic diseases, invariably, the diet that the whole grain low fat diet is being compared to is one of processed junk food, which is replete with sugar, white flour, and lots of PUFAs. So the low fat whole grain paradigm looks stellar in comparison to the most pernicious diet in human history the standard American diet. Even a C student can be made to look exceptional if everyone around him is a F student. Even a runner who can barely run a mile in under 12 minutes can be made to look quick if you compare him to a quadriplegic.

Simply superb!! I did not have oat flour, so I tried it out with the oat flour I made with quick cook oatmeal and it turned out perfectly. It took 3 minutes in my microwave and was perfect to toast on the pan along with an egg.

Dr. Brnard and McDougal books helped me lower my Aic from 6.8 to 5.8 prediabetic and at 5.6 normal. i am 217 so I have lost 46 pounds eating 20 ox of brown ri e and 2 cups of beawns and vegetables. Barnards studies proved this with their double group tests. and folow up happened too.

Try to toast it first, then grill it for gluten free. Have done that for years to firm up my gf bread to be more “toasty” grilled cheese.

Low carb is a very poor way to improve a diet. It’s halfway doing things at best. For real good outcomes try a strict keto diet or go for full carnivore. The first month or so will require willpower and selfdiscipline… but you will probably be very glad you did.
I love how the image for a high carb dieting has coke and fried potatoes and cake as their “diet” replace that with rice, healthy fruits etc and surely that wouldn’t be the fat guy…. I am starting to hate all these weight loss advice, everyone seems to have an agenda

Ok, here is where the rubber meets the road. This doctor wants to sell you on keto. True story… but aside from the studies he speaking of, let’s talk biology. You brain’s preferred fuel is glucose. Period! Not ketones and fatty acids don’t pass the blood brain barrier. Next, your liver… it’s designed to store glucose for the brain and… not only can it make glucose but it can make cholesterol. When you go keto, your body will make other tissues insulin resistant in order to feed the brain. But they want you to believe this is temporary and it’s not. This is why people on long term keto have higher morning glucose. It’s not “dawn phenomena” it’s called glucose sparing because your brain wants to hog it and thus your liver isn’t getting it, muscles aren’t getting it, testes and ovaries aren’t getting it. I’ve seen so many women with PCOS who went keto that had flatline blood glucose but their ovary was insulin resistant. Also, the idea that tribes like the Inuit and Maasai were in keto is BS because they ate so much meat they were producing glucose through GNG. Btw, DNL is a minor pathway in humans. I realize a small sliver of people can get away eating high fat low carbs long term, (btw sat fat isn’t a necessary fat) only EPA and DHA… but in the long haul this is a baaad idea.

For years I ate steamed whole wheat and whole rye berries. Spiked my blood sugar almost as much as ordinary pasta (type 1 diabetic). When someone insists that I eat HEALTHY WHOLE GRAINS, it takes a bit of self-control for me not to suggest that apart from moral and legal reasons, it would be better for me to dine on them…

People need to be aware that it is diet which causes type II diabetes in the first place. If you don’t eat carbs not only will you not get type II diabetes, you will be healthy. That should tell you that not only are fruit and grains unnecessary, they are major contributors to type II diabetes as they spike insulin and cause the body to store fat and protein in fat cells which causes obesity and in turn obesity leads to diabetes! Simple.
I go through loaf in 2 days, 6 eggs per loaf, too expensive.
I get it. Studies are sick and perverted because the people behind them are sick and perverted. Human greed has no bounds. And these highly educated ones are head and shoulders above the meek and marginally educated when it comes to lust of gold and false glory.
Just put this in the oven with a ton of seasoning (garlic powder, onion powder, basil, oregano, salt, and nutritional yeast) along with some oat flour and just a bit of psyllium powder. Hopefully it turns out okay!
My favorite to go snack would be simple black bread or/and falafels, as they are, or the falafel wrap… I love Hummus so much and carrots too… But Hummus is quite difficult to eat on the go… And carrots have their unique taste, which should not be foreshadowed by anything else in my opinion…

My wife had been eating more fruits because she liked them and thought they were healthy. Her fasting blood glucose went from 93 mg/dl to 113 mg/dl (pre-diabetes) in just a year. We decided to try eliminating fruits from her diet for a week as an experiment. It took only 2 days for her fasting blood glucose to drop back to 90 mg/dl. As soon as she ate fruits again, fasting blood glucose also went up. We have no doubt fructose/fruit is the major contributor to T2 diabetes.
Young bodies can tolerate many unhealthy foods, including fruits/fructose. But avoid fruits/fructose as you get older (and becoming less insulin sensitive).

I have to be thankful because if I do have it (still awaiting test results), my symptoms have been mild. Personally, I think that I am having a bad bout of allergies. But they wanted to be sure. I’ve been on & off keto for years. I’m a major carnivore type eater so keto is easy for me to stick with. Keto is effective for fat loss but it’s parameters are quite narrow which makes it easy to mess up. I wouldn’t recommend Keto to a foodie type person. Such a restrictive diet would make such a person feel deprived all the time which would make them feel unhappy. There’s little sense in trying to follow a diet that makes you unhappy and crabby all the time. Optimal health should add to your quality of life, eating foods you enjoy is a significant part of that quality. So don’t go on a diet you’re going to resent being on. It won’t last.

I was on.a macrobiotic diet that emphasizes the consumption of whole grains, root.vegetables and occasional some white fish. This diet seemed to be better than the standard American Diet. However if you have insuline resistance or diabetes, this diet proved to be a devil in disguise, as eventually grains are just sugar in the end. The complications of high insuline, and diabetes will ruin your body regardless of the organic whole grain diet. The Keto diet improved my health in about 6 months.

Diabetes is fed by sugar. All carbs no mater what. Sugar honey fruit grains no matter all turn in to sugar when digested.

If you want to lose weight they say you should have only 325 grams of carbs a day. With this recipe, you can have 81 loaves of bread a day and still get thin. Freaken wheat flour, been sabotaging us eaters this whole time with useless starvation diet 1 way of think bread could be made. you were doing ok until whoever chose those pictures bcz you’re showing its ok to eat biscuits and hamburger buns and an entire cooked chicken lol come one you could have done a lot better than that with the pictures! i’ve been low carb for 20+ years and let me say just don’t eat too much protein it damages the kidneys if you eat as much as you want just read up on it and don’t eat more than your body can handle!

I am suffering from diabetes last 08 month then one friend recommended Earthyboon sugarvita ras to me. I have never tasted a product where I can actually tell that there is amla, karela and shilajeet in it. Honestly it is so fresh like it is freshly prepared. I feel safe after use this.
Baked it for two times, with some alterations to improve the second time I baked it… but still disappointed with the results, it tasted too eggy and so soft in texture. It stucked in the pan even greasing it and using parchment paper. Definitely this recipe will be deleted in my collection. Thanks for the video anyways.

I will attempt to make this with coconut flour, and then I’ll get back to you. I’ll obviously have to substitute an amount that matches the grams of protein. So if the whey had 30 g of protein, I should use enough coconut flour for 30 g of protein. I think.

Just made it for breakfast. I added banana slices as you suggested and it was super-quick, super-simple, and super-delicious. Since I’ve used a skillet, I think I will make smaller “pancake” shapes next time easier to flip!

My take.. 6 ingredients:
6 Eggs
1/2 Cup Pea Protein Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
6 level tablesps Onion Powder
1 level tsps Garlic Powder
2 level tablespoons melted butter
Olive Oil for greasing pan
35 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius
Tastes like omelet [eggy] but Onion Powder Makes it taste somewhat better
melted butter is needed because without it it’s stiff and dry.

WTF lol. So much pseudo science and based most only anecdotes and personal experience. First a low carb diet will give you weight loss but most of it is water since glucose is stored with water. So that so much hyped weight loss.. all water. Secondly if you ever eat normal amount of sugar.. guess what you get that weight back again.. as it all water. People who do not understand nutrition should never go on a diet on a whim. If this is the holy grail why is everyone still getting fatter and fatter, sicker and sicker? If this is the holy grail, why has our cavemen not found this out before? If this is the holy grail why are people over 100 years not on this diet? Why oh why?
Bottom line is how much you burn compared to how much you eat, period.
Liked video, but blue zone… are just the myth, debunked several times. I can’t imagine whole grains to be ever part of healthy diet in sense of being healthy. I would limit their use as survival foods only (still better whole grains, even wheat, then to die from starvation).

To get more rise out of it add 1 tablespoon baking powder & add a little vinegar or even lime or lemon juice like 1/2 tablespoon to the baking powder it will really rise alot.The baking powder reacts with the vinegar/any citrus like lemon,lime or orange juice anything acidic.This is great in cookies too.Also this is really good I take a drinking glass spray with a little butter spray add salt around the sides of it this helps have the eggs rise like a souffle.Then I add 2 eggs mix really well with 1 tsp.sour cream add a little salt place in microwave for about 1 min.& 30 seconds or so.It is so delicious.I always make my eggs with sour cream just a teaspoon per egg it makes them fluffy.U don’t taste the sour cream at all.I ran out of milk & thought why not & WOW I was surprised it tasted really good.U can instead of in a 6 ounce drinking glass place in a skillet with butter spray.Cook on medium high heat til done.
Why is it whenever you find a recipe that’s better for you and inspires you, it requires an ingredient that is not readily available at your supermarket down the street? I just got back from my supermarket after they told me on the phone they carried “unflavored whey protein powder”. Nope…it’s all flavored (vanilla/chocolate) which wouldn’t work for a savory bread. No wonder a lot of people are asking if almond flour would work, and I see differing opinions on that. It seems most agree almond flour breads are typically too dense, but would the 6 eggs in this recipe counter that density? I hope so, because I got almond flour when I couldn’t find unflavored whey protein powder. This has to be a conspiracy.

I loved this bread! I added some Truvia and a tiny bit of pumpkin pie spice and tiniest bit of honey. The taste reminded me of Japanese castella cake! As others have noted, it is interesting that MasteringDiabetes takes a (whole food) high-carb approach to diabetes with seemingly successful results. I have type 2 and only eat small portions of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or strawberries in my morning smoothie. To just say ‘eating fruit’ is not specific enough because fructose as we all know isn’t a friend of diabetics.
Mixing the protein with the egg yolks will help preserve the air content of the egg whites by making the mixture easier to combine. Adding the one third of the egg white mixture at a time to the yolk mixture (folding gently) will also help preserve the air content.

Been doing low carb, best decision in my life☺️ from 125 lbs down to 104 lbs. Still losing weight. I certainly enjoy my foods which is mainly consist of eggs, meats, chicken and seafoods and some of my low carb favorite veggies and fruits like-lettuce, cabbage, petchay, avocados and kiwialso make my own desserts like pancakes, mug cakes, ice cream and chocolate which is low carb too☺️
