Sport-specific exercises are still the most effective method for building and maintaining muscle strength, speed, power, and coordination. For athletes, mental rehearsal and visualization exercises may be helpful when recovering from injuries but are probably not the best means of building strength for sports.Based on this knowledge, we’ve known, for years, that visualization is a great way to slow down the loss of strength during recovery from an injury. But, the big news is that simply visualizing an exercise may provide a nearly equivalent strength-building benefit as actually working-out. More studies will go along way toward confirming this.
In fact, the visualizations can help build the energy, confidence and feelings of reward needed for longer “workouts.” The additional practice provided by.If so, you’ve used mental imagery to enhance your performance. Mental imagery can be a powerful tool for strength training, reports a recent study from the Strength and Conditioning Journal. The authors recommend a four-step process. First, visualize the workout to come and the goal you want to achieve.
Below, you will find a simple exercise for improving your visualization skill. Find a few minutes to be alone every day. Sit down comfortably on a chair. Hold a small and simple object in your hands, like a pencil, a match, or a key.
Here are several Creative Visualization exercises to help you with your relationships. For these exercises, we draw upon the most powerful techniques in Creative Visualization and the Creative Visualization Workbook. They can help you get to the point where it’s natural to think creatively and to use your imagination positively. These are some of the simplest, most effective exercises we.Skip, or visualize a blank space in place of the number four.
Keep building, skipping numbers as you go. Once you reach the highest number you can without losing concentration (say, for example, 10), then go in reverse. Visualize 9, skipping 8, 7, and skip 6, and continue on.
Bodyweight exercises will build amazing strength and size, but only when the training parameters are right. You have to make your bodyweight exercises harder in order to grow and progress. After you can do easy 10 reps, you should move onto next the progression. Building strength with any approach requires progressive overloading. If you are interested in building muscle and gaining some raw strength beyond what you thought was capable for yourself, or maybe you just want a little trick to get some better results, then try visualization.
You have probably heard someone at one time say, “I have to see it to believe it.”.Once you can do this exercise with good form, you can add light dumbbells, and increase the weight as you build strength. This exercise not only works your glutes and leg muscles, it.
Exactly how visualization increases strength remains a mystery, says Shackell, but this study suggests that it can be a powerful addition to your strength-building arsenal: “Studies like this one reinforce the reality that our mental and physical systems are very much connectedand have the ability to.The more clarity you can see in your visualization exercises, the more you are likely to truly believe in achieving the goals you desire. The more you believe in them, the more you begin working enthusiastically to magnetize those goals towards you. Question: Is it possible to grow muscle after 60?
Answer: Yes.
can you make a part two video that includes exercises you started doing after awhile
Just found out about this video! I had a fairly bad neck injury and is still healing after 8 months. Would you suggest this is safe to do? With light weights of course. I have not lifted since my injury and lost a bunch of muscle mass. My left side of neck felt like a huge ball was in it and is slowly getting smaller since about 8 months ago. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you to anyone that replies.
When someone says they are a expert I run for the hills.
Arrogant prick.
Sir ❤️ I am from India
Due to heavy study I am unable to get the enough time for exercise , I’m teenager also and I don’t have any instruments for bodybuilding but I can give my best time only at 4 am morning and evening so Sir I expect that suggest me something which will help me to give the shape as you have. Please Sir help me something earlier ❤️
Great video man. Could you explain the difference between ‘mind muscle connection’ and ‘neurological efficiency’ please? Regards
Thanks. Interesting video. Dispenza’s book is amaizing, isn’t it? I’m also very inspired by his teachings.
Building muscle over 50 is the same as at any age. 1 more year and I’ll be 60. 220 pound natural lifter. Sleep well, eat well, train short n hard, progression, consistency, eat the right foods to support your testosterone and don’t forget mind muscle connection. Building muscle is simple but not to be confused with being easy. You must push beyond what you did the last workout.
I’ll definitely give this a go soon! Went too heavy with pretty poor form a few days ago and my shoulder now has the B I G P A I N.
I read a lot of people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets. But Im uncertain if it’s good. Have you ever try this popular lose weight secrets?
I love the way you explain it. Thank you so much for this information. Its helping me a lot. I hope there are more videos to come from your channel. Thank you
This video has great information, but I am confused about the best diet plan which i need to use, only because I have never taken any. Anybody tried the Custokebon Secrets? I’ve heard many people mention awesome things about Custokebon Secrets.
Hello there, I want to know if Custokebon Secrets, will work for me? I see a lot of people keep on speaking about this popular lose weight methods.
Now…can ladies lift the booty after 60 and how the hell do you do it?
Go to the gym or your basement. Pick up something that feels heavy. Do this a few times a week until it feels light. Then pick up something heavier. Mind your back and joints. If it causes pain or feels too heavy, try something a little lighter until it doesn’t. Keep it simple at around 2-3 lifts per muscle group, you can get fancy later if you want. That’s about it.
Hi Brian,
I was very impressed with your presentation.
You hav e a lot of important information for free.
Thank You
This video was so powerful, thank you very much! You are appreciated ❤
I saw myself winning on a competition and can’t stop crying.. why?
How many days out of the week are you supposed to do these exercises???
Reyes, according to the latest Japanese science based research, the way to reduce sugar spike is to eat veggies first, then protein and lastly carbs in that order. No veggies? You are looking at some serious healthy issues, sooner or later.
Do natural popular fat burn method like Custokebon Secrets really work and if so, how effective are they? I’ve noticed numerous awesome things about this popular lose weight diet plan.
this is really helpful since i’ve started with just dumbbells as well
By one years old you have developed every muscle fiber you will ever have. You do not “build” muscle. You do not lose muscle. Your fibers are in one of three stages.
I’m 60 and have a six pack… the prices have gone up though.
This is outstanding. Thank you for the tutorial using light weights. I cannot wait for the next one to appear.
how many reps per exercise? i’m 69 been lifting for a long time but recovery time is an issue…lift twice a week and try to do max weight on each exercise…
I’m definitely going to do this one and the one posted today! Do you recommend doing both bicep and triceps video one after the other? Thanks in advance!!
Brian Thanks for the info. I get the 4 times a week, working up to free weights, compound exercise, diet etc but you don’t mention sets or reps for muscle building? What do you recommend?
I’m 60 in July and still have a six pack! I workout everyday, bicycle elliptical and Max climber.
Superb Grant. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Thank you
Just started BFR and feel great ( I am over 70 ) flexibility is also VERY important.
I got it all done now what do I do go to the next channel or next YouTube video on this tell me
Is it the effort or the attitude towards the bar? Yea I now have to remind myself that its me against the steel just like in my youth. The muscle mass issue does create more effort to achieve the same things to retain the same output. Plus with less mass theres more concern for injury but you definitely still can improve mass. Going on 62 and having got back to 380 on bench, I believe the safe bet for me is sets in the 245-275 range vs grinding away at heavy attempts. Though, old pride still pushes me to go heavier now and then.
You don’t need to work out four times a week; two is more than enough. Most men loose 5% muscle per decade because they don’t even walk around the block once a day, much less hit the gym. After 60 if you hit it four times a week, you’ll further wear your body down.
Im Afraid of gyms. What if i meet boss of that gym im Afraid what he will let me experience
60 this year. Gained about 10 lbs in the last 5 months. Weights and hiking in the mountains. Eat 16:8, low carb. Trying to be very careful not to injure myself.
Guys. lost a lot of weight doesn’t need to be hard (I used to think it did). I will give you some advice right now. Look for a popular fat loss system called Custokebon Secrets (just search it on google). Thanks to it I have lost a lot of weight. I shouldn’t even be speaking about it cause I don’t really want a bunch of other guys out there running the same game but whatever. I am just simply in a excellent mood right now and so I’ll share the wealth lol.
Yes you can build muscle at any age. Your muscle ceiling will be lower but your strength can still progress very well.
Im 52. Got back to doing powerlifting compound movements 3 years ago. Now squat and dead double bodyweight.
As for food just eat properly unprocessed food. Like around 50 percent complex carbohydrates. 15 to 20 of protein and at least 20 fat by calories.
It aint rocket science.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Thank you for creating this kind of content it is so powerful and effective and wonderfully helpful! Thank you, thank you, thank you! God bless you and keep going:-)
Important notes:
1. I do not think visual imagery (visualization) directly causes epigenetic effects. As far as I can tell from Joe Dispenza’s books, the epigenetic effects he has observed seem to be a byproduct of lowering people’s stress levels and achieving high energy states of consciousness through a combination of meditation and visual imagery. If it is the case that visual imagery can lead to epigenetic effects, I’m not sure how relevant this would be for improving sports performance.
2. I don’t think the strength gains from the research I mentioned in the video are very relevant for elite athletes. I believe the strength gains are a by-product of neural adaptations that make movement patterns more efficient. Since high level athletes already have very efficient movement patterns, I doubt this would have a strong effect/improvement on their performance.
That being said, there is solid research suggesting that visual imagery can increase self-efficacy (confidence) and motivation (which can help improve performance).
I will make an updated video in the future where I’ll go into detail on what the research suggests is relevant to improving performance. I will also make a video dissecting and diving deeper into some of the ideas in this video to highlight some of the mistakes I made.
Keep in mind that I’m constantly learning. Sometimes (as in the case in this video) I realize that my knowledge on the topic was insufficient and that I need to do more and better research to give more accurate information.
This video turned my morning around. I was feeling sluggish and hormonal and I was heading out for a run, but decided to listen to this in the hopes it would make me get a winning attitude BEFORE my run, since I was not feeling too great. And you rocked it, and then I rocked it! THANK YOU!
Hi there! I plan to reference your video with full credit on an article of mine in reference to visualization for health/wellness. Please let me know if you’d like it to be removed, however, and I’ll be more than happy to do so! The article can be found here: https://healthylivinglivingwell.wordpress.com/2019/03/02/visualization-actualization/
Michael this is amazing! You’re the best thanks for helping me out
LOOK JUST WORK OUT. OKAY. GET OFF YOUR ASS, AND HIT IT. YES AS WE GET OLDER IT NORMAL TO GET INJURIES BUT LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. DON’T BABY YOURSELF. I’VE SEEN GUYS WORKING OUT WITH THE SAME PUSSY WEIGHTS OVER, AND OVER. THEN LOSE INTEREST. HIT IT DAMN IT. BEST OF LUCK. ART DELA GARZA USAF RET
Do u think by visualization we can heal injured spinal cord?
I’m 67 and after starting resistance training a year ago I am carrying more muscle today than I have at any other time in my life. It’s hard work but it really does improve your quality of life. I eat high protein moderate fat and minimal carbs but not keto. Loving it!
Great video! I started trying visualization about a year ago, but I struggled to make it work. I was easily distracted. But a teacher made me aware of my diet, he told me that eating fish as part of a meal daily makes sure you get enough omega 3. I figured out that I ate way to little fish at this point, which the brain obviously needs to function normally. When I changed my diet and my routine I noticed a big improvement in both concentration and mental practicing in general.
I am 60 years old and I am the strongest guy in the gym pound-for-pound it don’t matter what age I have been lifting weights on and off four 44 years. I can do 121 push ups. I can bench press my own body weight 21 * which is 165 lb. Yes you can build muscle after the age of 60 I must be some kind of genetic freak.
Good video.played competitive hockey & soccer until 46. Did scaffolding work until 58. Now mostly carpentry.
For Jay Rezy Had hip replacement at 60, started weights at 62, and at 64 I was 193 pounds and 20% body fat. I am 5′ 9.12″ and get an annual dexascan. Started TRT at 64 and one year later at 65 I was 205 pounds and 16% body fat. That first year I gained 16 pounds muscle and lost 4 pounds fat. The next year I had injuries and lost 15 pounds fat and 10 pounds muscle, going to 178 pounds and 9.8% body fat. I take 200 mg testosterone cypionate per week. If you choose TRT, please don’t overdo the weights in order to avoid injuries.
Hi. Nice video and a lot of good informations. My question is, could you recommend some books about mental imagery in sports? I’m very interested about this technique. Thanks!
To live a long time concentrate on cardiovascular exercise, you don’t need big muscles to live long, so just maintain a natural stature with light weights to maintain bone density and a normal musculature.
Of course you can. You have to make it part of your lifestyle, work smart, maintain high intensity, allow more recovery time, and eat clean 90% of the time
I do mental laps days leading up to a race, talking myself through what I’m doing, for example a lap at Sebring would be:
“Approaching turn 1, wait for the end of the wall to turn in, wait, wait, now turn and downshift. Back to power, feel it out for turn 2, brake at the 2 cone and 2 downshifts. Use the brake release to help the car rotate to get a good setup for 3, drive it in hard before arcing it in for 4. Wait for the 3 1/2 cone for turn in at 5, wait for it, wait, wait, wait, brake downshift and arc it in for 5. Don’t be too early with your apex, use all of that curb. Back to power mid corner and through the first set of esses. Turn 7 coming up, wait for the 2 marker, push 2 1/2 if possible. Wait for it, brake at 2 and off the brake quickly before turn in. Back to power before apex, let it track out just a bit and flat out to 8. Straight shot into 8, quick brake at the 2 1/2, push for the 1 mark if possible, Apex early to have enough space to track out. Flat through the 2 left handers before the second esses, light brake at the 2 1/2, back to power at if not a bit before the apex. Track out a good bit, down shift once and light brake before turn in for 16 before the long back straight. Wait for the 2 for turn in, wait, wait, wait, wait, 2 marker, turn in and brake at the flag stand. Back to power just before the bridge, be lined up with the blue mark on it. Stay inside for a bit before tracking out for the front straight.
Rinse and repeat
You said that to gain muscle one needs to eat a surplus but I need to reduce the great deal of body fat around the stomach. So, should I cut first before grabbing the weights?
So, if I don’t cut and if I hit the weights and I eat in a surplus then I will definitely grow muscle but will body fat around my stomach be replaced by muscle?
Also, should I seek out supplements that increase testosterone because us older guys have a lot less testosterone than we used to have. Losing body fat around my stomach will increase testosterone… so again… should I cut before I hit the weights and eat in a surplus?
I’ve been doing variations of your dumb bell workouts for a year now. I’m freaking jacked and feeling as fit as ever. Started with 20lb dumb bells bench press for 3 sets of 15. Now I do 70lb dumb bells bench press for 3 sets of 15.
Aren’t most of the supplements doing nothing more than providing you with expensive urine?
Does the deadlift take the place of the squat as I can’t squat, and does the bridge take the place of the lunch as I am can’t lunge as I have arthritis in my knees
Great video and commentary. I’m glad I fell on your channel. I’m 60 years old and looking forward to a better me. Thanks.
69 next month. Still at it 5 days a week and working at least three as welder/milwright. Startrd in 78 and will stay with it long as I can.
can you do one about organization and house cleaning? I love listening to you and there’s only a few videos I’ve found on this subject that I can tolerate listening to at least. I would listen to yours and I’m sure it would be the best one out here. I love listening to your stuff!
Enjoyed the video but hey, a lot of us at 50-60 simply can’t do compounds like squats and deadlifts due to chronic back/knee/joint problems. I know they’re the best exercises, and if you can do them I envy you, but I also know that were I to do them I’d spend more time recovering from injury than I would training.
Me: Watches a couple of Arm Wrestling vid
YouTube: So… you have chosen workouts
This is real information, so our bodies disintegrate from 30
The amount of muscle we gain and fat loss varies to a very large degree even after 60…we are all very different… If the mind believes the body can achieve…just don’t over do it start slow and you will improve every week…
I’m 70.
I was into bodybuilding from 30-40 and built some serious muscle.
Then I stopped training and lost about 50% of it. Just started back up at 68 two years ago and in the last 24 months I have put on muscle again.
It can be done. Train hard, eat right, get sufficient protein and proper rest..
I also started taking Creatine and that has given me the ability to workout harder, longer and to failure more often.
Just clean up your own yard and don’t hire yard workers, paint your own house, build things for your house, dig and plant things around your yard, prune your trees etc. 71 years and still active even after back surgery
You are born with every and all the muscle fibers you will ever have. The only thing that changes is what state they are in. Don’t let a trainer tell you any different.
Ooocch bro you live in a gym and u said no equipment is needed…….
wasn’t feeling like going yesterday until I listened to this and off I went had a great workout!! Thank you
What is the best product or brand to lost tons of weight? I read plenty of superb opinions on the net about how exactly Custokebon Secrets can help you lost tons of fat. Has anyone tried using this popular fat burn methods?
I’m 60. Been training since I was 18. I train like a competitive bodybuilder. Im 6’2” 265 at 15% bodyfat and train harder than most young guys in my gym. It’s totally up to the individual. I eat 6 times per day and have a bulking and cutting cycle. The only thing that has changed is lower carbs.
Great stuff! You have a new subscriber and I will watch the rest of your videos
I’m 52 and I can workout with the same amount of weight when I was in my 20s. since I have been on Hormone Therapy. However I can’t workout 4 days a week if I’m doing intense training. It takes me 2 to 3 days to recuperate.
I was taking fat loss pills and almost seriously harmed my health. Now I realise that diet is not pills and teas, but structured plan full of nutritionally rich foods. Visit NextLevelDiet and get a real diet, stop taking fuc*ing pills.
This guy must have good moisturiser, he’s does look like he’s over 60
I seem to have done this with 5 to six days 2 hours on lift machines in the gym I jacked UP my metabolism with a mile a Day run produced better results.Eggs Avocados Fish etc
Yes thank you I am definitely going to do my next visualization exercise with this in mind thank you
The title and description misleading. This shows how to physically prepare yourself for the imagery/visualization process, not how to actually do it.
I added 16 pounds muscle in a year at age 64 using TRT and Starting Strength.
Hi Zeus, first just like to say thank you for taking the time to do all these videos . Been doing your exercises for about 8 month’s now and I’ve personally seen a mass deference in my physical appearance and health. So keep up the good work, and again thank you
Very helpful, but a couple of issues.
You didn’t mention the importance of WATER to recovery. Also, you don’t talk of the importance of cardio. I’d like to mention that VR is helpful to me being in shape at age 65.
At 67 I still use weights 3 or 4 times a week. Feel good too.
My World Record Deadlift set at age 58 is 513lbs. Beltless. I am 59 now. And will be deadlifting 600lbs and Squatting 500lbs in my 60’s. Is is possible for Brian to do that? YES YES YES!!!
I have a programm of 110 push ups a day it’s very good but i hope you did a wokout video without any materials just with your body weight.
oh man this is absolutely perfect. I’ve been looking for a routine like this for months. not to mention the absolute quality of the cameraman and editor. excellent content 10/10.
So I JUST finished your 20 Minute Full Body Toning Dumbell workout and what do I see? A new video posted 8 minutes ago! I’m looking forward to doing it tomorrow. Looks great !!
Guys. lost lots of weight doesn’t need to be hard (I used to feel it did). I’ll give you some tips right now. Get a popular weight loss method called Custokebon Secrets (do a google search). Thanks to it I’ve lost a lot of fat. I probably should not even be speaking about it cause I do not want lots of other guys out there running the same game but whatever. I’m just simply in a great mood right now so I’ll share the wealth lol.
I don’t want to get that huge like you i want to just have a bit bigger arms chest and some packs
I’ve been work out for a year now I have a six pack growing. I was doing a lot of crutches and sit ups.
Title says that it’s at home work out, “(no gym need)” but the guy is working out at a gym.
I’m 60 and I build muscle the same way I did when I was in my 20’s: pilates.
I didn’t have any money as a kid and did what I could.. chin ups push up, crunches. At one point, I had a wooden dowel with things hanging from it, can’t recall. My parents bought me a 110 lb set with the concrete filled weights for my bday. That was really something.
I’ve been doing a lot of your meditations including this one for over a year and just now i had the most lucid, powerful experience ever with an energy boosting mediation, amazing experience. Thank you Michael!
Thank you so much for making these hypnosis videos Michael! I listen to you quite often and you have definitely made a huge positive impact in my life, and best of all for FREE!:-)
thank you man! you have no idea how long i’ve searched for something like this. gonna get swole this quarantine❗️
You are sooo off base about lean meat. More fat the better. Spent years cutting fat and struggling, changed to high fat and wow!!!

genius video, finnaly something that is free and low equipment as i dont have the money nor time or facilities for a gym routine.. thx
This is incomplete. How to proceed after getting into the proper posture and breathing three times? This presentation leaves the viewer hanging since it does not address the visualization process itself.
Bro I am 17 years old, Can I also do this, plss reply sirr….. But my height is not normal I am small according to 17 year age boy. Plsss help love from India ❤
Has anyone tried Custokebon Secrets? (do a search on google) I have heard several amazing things about this popular weight loss secrets.
I wonder how much cals we burn with say 50 push ups.
I do 25 after each meal, for bloodsugar control. Just a pity I don’t get recovery time or is that really needed on such small scale
1. “You need to work out 4x per week”
2. “You need longer to recover”.
Completely inconsistent statements. 4x week is generally considered the max to allow recovery for YOUNG people.
Can someone please tell me if I can turn this into a PPL workout and add some of my own exercises in addition to this for example for pull day can I use bentover rows, chinups and bicep curls?
I’d have to listen to this quite early in the morning for my workout…I’ve been working out for 11 years straight and it’s nice to go to the gym with some great suggestions in my soul to give me that boost. Instead of listening to negativity from your own mind and haters, looks like you want to help rather than hinder peoples progress
Great workout and video thank you! So around 1 min between all sets? Do you recommend a certain rest period between exercises too?
Excellent Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about Marnaavid Unexplainable Intervention (search on google)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for learning how to hack your flow state without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy finally got cool success with it.
I read loads of good opinions on the net about how Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine) can help you lost crazy amounts of weight. Has any one tried this popular diet plan program?
I’m 66 and workout with weights, found out that if I don’t tell the weights how old I am, they will never know-
Thank you for the information, I am going to give this workout a try for one month. Hope to see some gains, thanks once again
Hats off to any man who can keep a flat stomach and build muscle after 60 because it is infinitely more difficult to do so than when young. I fight aches and pains constantly when exercising but force myself to do so. One thing I found doesn’t slow down with age is my appetite.
Anyone know what is Custokebon Secrets about? I hear many people burn their fat with this popular weight loss diet plan.
Yes it is!! I’m 59 & live only on carnivore diet!! Also dont need coach!! Was competitive bodybuilder for 17 years!! Won 3 state championships!! Also placed 3rd in north American bodybuilding championships!!
The only thing creatine gave me was the worst gout attack! I guess no pain no gain!
Hi. Please can i discuss with you on WhatsApp? +233553409915
Lovely Video clip! Apologies for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you considered Marnaavid Unexplainable Intervention (do a search on google)? It is an awesome exclusive product for learning how to hack your flow state minus the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my m8 at very last got amazing success with it.
Is this a good daily workout for starters: 20 push-ups, 50 curl-ups, and a 1/2 mile jog daily
you lost me at YES I’m here for fitness not hard of hearing unless you were just making a joke of us?
I appreciate the time and effort you put into our age group. In this video you briefly mentioned creatine. I tried it earlier this year with my protein drink and didn’t see any results. I’m 58, have always been a hard gainer. 25 years ago, I used creatine, loaded up correctly and saw huge results. This time I didn’t load up. I’m interested in what you think.
that’s it! wasted time! could have watched something that would have actually taught me OTHER THAN THE FRICKIN’ OBVIOUS!!!
I love the workout I’m going to try to do that workout every day
That’s simple meditation with focal device, it is not mental rehearsal, don’t confuse please.!
All I ever see is a black void I just cant visualize like even simple things like a ball of light is my brain broken
I would add DHEA at about 50 mg per day and Pregnenolone at about 50 mg per day. Those are what I take (65 years old). After the age of 25, you start to produce less DHEA and Pregnenolone and by the time you are 70, you produce about 10 % of what you did when you were 25. Look those two Bioidentical hormones up and see for yourself. Also, they are cheap and are non-prescription supplements. BTW, your adrenal glands produce these hormones from cholesterol. So, if you cut your cholesterol, you cut your hormone production…. Cholesterol reducing drugs may just make you sicker than you think. Maybe, but ask your “alternative” medicine doctor, not Big Pharma’s doctors…

Interesting video but why do his eyes glance all over the place
Fantastic videos thank you, I am using these with my A level PE group
Whats the difference between visualzation and image streaming
Can I get good enough where I can simulate people, places, and worlds with enough mental imagery practice? even to the point of not needing to focus too hard on the details?
is there anyway you can post a self improvement video that focuses on actually wanting to work out? I hate working out but I really shouldn’t.
Hey guys follow my you tube channel about related to fitness and i will give you some important tips for army raelly because i have pass indian army physical 2 time
Just had my 59th birthday. Still squat, deadlift, Bench press and military press.
Wow…fitness advice from someone that looks like the Pillsbury Doughboy.
While he is right that building muscle over 60 is possible I think his recommendations are not helpful and some are wrong. Nutrition is more important. Working out two times a week is the most recovery will handle. Some fasting is necessary to create satellite stem cells. Carbs are not really necessary and will increase fat gain.
Hi,
I am a huge fan of yours. Love all your videos!
I was wondering if there’s a way you can post some meditation about focus/being present and pressure/fear of losing for athletes?
This is incredible! I’ve used it twice this week! I pb’d my back squats, strict press and deadlifts! It was like my muscles were “extra” activated! I will be doing this every morning I wake up before training! Thank you so much! Can’t wait to get even stronger with this!
Hello Michael Sealey! I’m absolutely loving this! Was going to ask if you can do a hypnosis for athletic edge. Being dominant and all.
Kind regards Abraham
Has anyone used the Custokebon Secrets to lost crazy amounts of weight? Just do a search engine search. On there you’ll discover a great suggestions about how you can lost crazy amounts of weight. Why not give it a chance? maybe it is going to work for you too.
Go on. Keep making videos like these. We really need this type of knowledge.
64. My muscle mass went up 1.5 kg in two months and fat decreased by 900 grams. 7 times a week
WOW that’s very interesting how is this make muscles growth?
How do we choose the weight of the dumbbell for each exercise?
Love the message and energy in this. Will be listening to it before my next workout, thanks
I’m 65, lost 20 lbs in 5 months but feel like I lost muscle in my upper arms from not working out and feel weak when I do anything with them they ache afterwards. Can you advise how to start building muscle? Arm exercises first then light weights? Thank you.
I’ve lost 40% of my strength since I peaked at 21. 65 now. But I do
max push ups, pull ups, and close to max squat thrusts and sit ups twice a week. Curls, military press and bench once a week. (2-3 hours of tennis 2 or 3 times a week for cardio) I’m only 2 pounds heavier than at 21…. but I’ve obviously lost muscle mass. How can I gain that strength back with these old joints?
Thank you sharing. I did not know if it was going to help me during my running, I was able to complete my training day by visualizing the words successful, completion, happiness. i will be listening to this one a lot! I will be completing the marathon I set as a goal.
this was great i really feel energized this is going to be in my workout playlist from now on
I liked and subscribed. Im 66 and after being totally healthy my whole life I’ve had some medical setbacks, both planned (knee replacements, both) and some unplanned, but Im on the mend and before all this started I hit the gym 5 days per week. I am recovering from life saving abdominal surgery 1-20-20 and once Im healed I will be back at it harder than ever. Im going to watch all your videos because people think boomers cant get it done. I plan on proving them wrong.
I love these videos. I’d like to do two of the light dumbbell workouts per day how would you pair the 6 sets to maximise impact/rest? Eg at the moment I do shoulders&triceps THEN back&chest THEN legs/biceps. Is this the best combo?
still a nicely put video. I would also recommend WOOP. Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan Mariella Oetingen or also known as Mental Contrasting. The big difference is you account significantly for the obstacles within the visual rehearsing. So despite having lots of nice images on how to and what it will be like you have mental strategies to instruct behaviour if/when the obstacle arises. This is the gold standard in behavioural change. check it out.
What a load of shit, 5.54 min’s of crap when a yes or no would have done
I love the messages and ideas portrayed in this session, sometimes I tap into a different level of energy in the gym maybe once every 10-20 workouts. I can keep repping out and add 20% to my lifts with ease. I understand this is a faculty of the mind that I am accessing or passing beyond so study the mind on a daily basis, practice visualisations, changing beliefs and habits etc.
Subliminals have worked from time to time but my results with meditations and hypnosis are very limited, the output is yet to be worth the input. I do not enter a hypnotic state, no videos that try to induce me into a hypnotic state have done so effectively to date. I understand it is the allowing of the self to let go and enter the hypnotic state that brings about the hypnotic state but my stubborn self does not appear to want to relax into that place even though my logical brain is saying do it! Are you able to offer any suggestions to improve ones susceptibility to hypnotic suggestion/states of trance?
Yes… I’m 56 and I will remain 56 for the rest of my life. I walk everyday for 1 hr and 30 min doing light weight 135 lbs max…my sex life is the same as I’m in my 30’s. Stop smoking, eat less carbo, ginger tea and avocado tea and no sodas, lots of proteins and listen to advises like this. Thanks…
I’m 60 and work out with a 75 YO Vietnam era Marine Corp vet. I’m very fit but this dude looks like the late Jack LaLanne when he was that age. Rock solid and shredded. Yes, it can be done
Side point: neither one of us take supplements. I know I get what I need by eating clean KETO. Stay fit!
Good video. I am a sample size of one and showing that I can build muscle mass is like a mission for me. Many of my friends simply believe you cannot so don’t even try. I think muscle mass is extremely important for seniors. I am 68. I started lifting 6 years ago. I am 5’9″ (and shrinking). I started out at about 160 lbs and am now 173 with the same amount of fat I believe. My shoulders, biceps chest and upper legs are bigger. I could not deadlift even close to 225 pounds, but have now reached 300. My routine is to lift after a local ymca yoga class and then work on heavy lifting. I love it. I do not take any protein supplements, but I do eat a lot of food with high protein sources after a long workout.
Nice videos at least someone knows you don’t need a ton of weight to get results

Zen says I am 74. Masters diving champion. Develop the skills strength will follow. At any age. Always participating in any sports will make you more young. Don’t do exercise just for fitness. Be prepared to be a sports player.
I just turned 60 and love lifting weights!! Have been doing hex bar, squats and cable pull downs all winter and love the results!! Had open heart surgery couple years ago so getting back to chest exercises which has been slow.
Key is to keep good form and don’t get injured!! Keep my reps at 12-15 before increasing load. My cardiologist says lifting is fine, just remember to keep breathing.
Just ordered some resistance bands to add variation for my exercises.
I am 57 and found your workouts very practical. Thank you for sharing improving the lives of people.
Iam 56 and stop lifting stupid weight over 20 years ago can’t afford to miss work because of injury. I still sling reasonable weights four times week though.
Nice presentation! Can u pl tell me how much weight u have used here thanks
I’m over 60 weigh 200. Took Powerlift classes. Started at 100lb for each lift. In 2 months, I’ve doubled the barbell weight. I’ve gained muscle all over. Other day a 25 year old at gym asked how did I get so fit. Key is to start and keep consistent.
This session on hypnosis for muscle growth was requested by Vollker a few weeks ago. There’s a 2nd part to this, being the post workout session for muscle recovery, coming soon.
You forgot to mention you also need to be black….. thats that wakanda power right there.
Looking on his body, if you see these all exercises were looking as a game for him, with less effort.
By the way, can you make a video without any exerciseing metarials???
Work out was legit especially living in Arizona with this heat lol. Much appreciated for the video helped me a lot
I’m 82 and still building and maintaining muscle. I use the Total Gym and some arm weights. I attract the 30 somethings in clubs where I usually wear a tailored suit. Luckily, my face has not aged badly.
New subscriber here and so glad I found your channel. 64 yo, lost 25 lbs a year ago through eating better and walking and have kept it off. Gave up alcohol and coffee as well and that seems to have really flattened the stomach. Problem is I lost a lot of muscle in my legs and butt so now that I’ve found your channel I’ll attempt to get some of that back. I see now that I should have started resistance and weight training along with the nutrition and waking changes. Thanks.
Does this help with pull ups?
Cause I can’t do any pull ups so I am trying to get better at doing pull ups and thank you for making these videos

How could he not mention that at the age of sixty you don’t produce the amount of testosterone as you did at the age of 35? That was a big omission.
It is possible to build muscle at any age. There is plenty of evidence based research and anecdotal evidence to support this.
Lmao I have been doing this without know that I have been doing it, thanks for this video
Hi yes you can I started just over 2 years and now nearly 66 I have just put my first video on youtube don’t get skinny get strong fitness at any age
This made me take a nap before my workout which I ended up skipping because was sleepy
I am 65 and have been weight training for 45 years, even competed in my 30s. Today I still train but the problem is tendon and joint issues. Push too hard and I injure myself, not enough and no results. A balancing act. I also need a much longer recovery time between workouts.
What is the best way to lost tons of weight? I read loads of good opinions on the internet about how Custokebon Secrets will help you lost a lot of weight. Has anybody tested out this popular weight loss method?

Hello Dr.Jerry Epstein,How can I correct the shape of my head?
At birth, forceps were used which damaged and deformed my skull bones, causing a badly shaped head. It has negatively affected my life in many different ways. How can I heal myself and get a perfect head shape?
Hi there. nice video presentation. This is my first time doing mental visualization, i never try to control images in my mind, normally whn I close my eye I will just let my mind flying. It was so hard to grab one image and let it stay. After 30mins i get to hold on to one situation or an image. And then i start to control the image just like playing with video editing software, i can control every small details. It is so vivid and exciting. But im a little worried because there is some blood coming out of my nose. I realize its blood after it dried and blocking breath. Is this normal? Thanks for your advice.
For a much better cognitive capacity, memory, and focus, this brain training game “nonu amazing only” (Google it) is proposed. I really love this application! I`m finding my strengths and also those parts that challenge. I really like this game because it it not only fun but also a good way to workout my human brain.
Keep with your great job your videos are so quality and helpful ❤️
Isn’t this kind of like meditation tho? I do to meditation. Any response? Thanks!
Thank you, Coach Brian! This is actually one of my favorite parts of working out! I love closing my eyes, breathing slow deep breaths and thinking of the contractions of my muscles and also keeping them tight while contracting! Of course with good music in my ears (lately it’s been a lot of Linkin Park)!!!
