As an athlete who plays basketball I disagree(kinda), although this does have a lot of sugar, during a game this replenishes your electrolytes and boosts your energy which increases your performance. If you are trying to lose weight this is not ideal but if your are playing sports this drink is a good one

To be honest, I am so intimidated at someone who drinks that colorful BCAA drink while working out in the gym (i’m intimidated because it’s my first month in gym), because I feel like they are getting the most out of their workout day, but after hearing from this video that mostly those drinks are made up of artificial sweeteners, I now feel good about myself haha because I learned from a specific book that Artificial sweeteners are dangerous, addictive excitotoxins that cause excessive firing of neurons and encourage cell death. They also trigger the insulin response just as sugar does and still cause weight gain.

Great video! I drink BCAA’S when am working out an yes it does stop muscle loss and the chemical the body produced to cost that is called cortosol and the BCAA is what the cortosol eats at instead. Think it goes domething like that in depth. But loved the video bro best one yet in this category.

I also love how you didnt talk about the fact the it has 20-30 % of your daily intake of potassium and all the other vitamins that water alone will never give you. Does the BCAA’s work to overcome muscle fatigue? As I fatigue quickly after a couple of sets. It happens sometimes, not always though. Then I have to reduce the weight just so I can complete my total sets I wanted to do for the day.

There is no clinical evidence for claimed apple cider vinegar.
Water during exercise should not be taken as during that time the body is warm and if taken it causes harm to body so better I think so that plenty of water should be taken after workout only

You’re using a tablespoon 3 teaspoons equal 1 tablespoon your calculation is off. And I’m happy at least they’re using real sugar instead of artificial sweeteners that may cause harm to your body because we have not been able to truly test the results of them on our bodies.
You did a good job covering why light to mid workouts may not be good with using poweraid you ignored some glaring issues. 1) none of the options you showed were a good repleanasher of sodium (neither is poweraid but it still has some) most interactions between cells use potassium and sodium, and as someone with low blood pressure I have to balance my sodium loss when I work out heavy. 2) these drinks are meant to help endurance during spikes of activity (sports games, supplement to water during running or hikeing) or 3) benefit to strength training. That added sugar may be the bit to push you through the end of a grueling workout, one that’s going to still be affecting your body after you complete it

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, One teaspoon of granulated sugar equals 4 grams of sugar. To put it another way, 16 grams of sugar in a product is equal to about 4 teaspoons of granulated sugar. So your 18 grams is about 4..5 teaspoons of sugar.

Is Dave diabetic? I know a lot of bodybuilders use insulin, does that cause many body builders to become diabetic?
I always drink whey protein during my workout. I never had any stomach problem. I just want to know if it will affect my gains? Do I need to change it to post workout or can I keep it as it is? TIA

I’ve been on and off for 4 months and just now getting into actually planning my workouts out. Like what days are which body parts. I think it’s so important especially if you’re new to working out. I’m more motivated now that I have a plan.

It destroys glyphosate according to Dr. Stephanie Seneff of MIT. It will raise saliva pH. Easily tested with pH tape first thing in the morning.
2tbsp of Apple cider vinegar mixed with 1tbsp of ceylon cinnamon is amazing in the morning. Both work to lower blood sugar and put you in more of a fat burning state. +PsycheTruth Well, even beyond the sugar content, there are chemicals in Gatorade/Powerade that should be avoided, BVO being one, and the colourings being another. When I ditched these drinks years ago I began to make my own intra-workout drink: Coconut water from young coconuts, pure Aloe Vera juice (no additives or sugar), and some orange juice for taste. I’ve NEVER looked back.
Caffeine has a number of benefits to exercising. You’re not even old enough to drink and your physique sucks. Quit giving out false information.

I gained some fat and water weight on a 3 month work trip. Got back home and tried to eat light to lean out and it wasnt working. Every day i was waking up puffy bloated and skinnyfat. I was getting annoyed. I bought some acv a few weeks ago and right away i started feeling less bloat in my stomach. Big meals stopped making my gut stick out. But it git even better. I was leaning out rather quickly. I realized it was the vinegar. I bought it for overall health, not for fat loss. So then i saw that it was working so i started upping the dose and i quickly leaned all the way out, drew out all the extra water weight and i wasnt dieting or exercising. Apple cider vinegar absolutely works, but no, its not gonna make you lose 50 lbs. Maybe 5 lbs though!
The thing about Powerade is you are supposed to drink it after you exercise bruh. It replaces the sugars glucose and electrolytes lost in sweat. Powerade is not the culprit here.

Why would sports drinks help you lose weight? They are used to replace electrolytes and glycogen stores. Some athletes need 60-90g of glucose an hour. That is the equivalent of 1 to 2 cans of Coke. A recent study found that caffeine after training improved glycogen re-uptake by up to 40%.
If you train and usually have a good diet and workout drink only one sport drink a week I do it on my cheat meal day.
I bought this stuff and drank it straight up two big gulps. Holy shit don’t do that. I felt slight nausea after doing that. Also, I burped it up a little bit hours later and that was not a good feeling. Definitely don’t drink it straight up.
