they eat more of Ultra-Processed coz it has more sugars in it, therefore after 3 hours period blood sugar drop more then from less sugar foods, this drop tells brain that it needs to eat and those people did exactly that. life example on a day when you ate 300 grams of cake after 4 hour you want more of it, on days when no cake eaten before you dont want it so desperately.

People, frozen unprocessed foods are often more vitamin-rich (protection from light, oxygen and heat) and less prone to bacteria infestation, esp. on meat and fish, and the have food labels on them. So not all packaging means worse food content.

I grew up on heavily processed foods. I practically lived on soda, ice cream, sugary cereals, and tv dinners. Ever since I learned about the ingredients that are in the foods I eat I immediately switched to eating clean. High fructose corn syrup especially I avoid at all costs, I can’t believe how many foods contain that stuff!

I loved the speech you gave at the end about parents doing / using what I call ‘direction of influence’ to role model the food choices if you like.. and try and impact their way of thinking about food, laying down a very very positive proactive progressive foundation for our young adults’ minds & bodies for the health of their future.. I been working on my diet the last month or so.. given up caffeine / sugar / milk / eating more fresh plant based.. still on chicken and fish atm, but working my way towards vegan I think… seems to be the right path, considering all what’s going on out there.. the food industry makes me so frustrated angry.. .. the immeasurable damage these parasites have caused to our lives.. it’s an ACCESS issue.. the food industry provide that access.. they are the most irresponsible non -accountable greedy evil beings.. I feel like yogurt and low fat products should be #1. Any time someone tells me that they’re eating healthy, they’re usually avoiding fat and eating yoplait or another sugary yogurt, but realizing how much sugar is in that little cup.

I guess the most frustrating thing I realized is that usually unhealthy stuff tastes better than the healthier version. If one can produce healthy version of snacks with similar tastes, I’d pay twice for that. But just like non fat mayonnaise… my mind tried so hard to convince my tongue they are the same, never works.

This is bs anything vegan or gluten free or organic is healthy in moderation. No food is going to kill you if you eat a variety of foods or small to medium portions. Potato chips even are not going to kill you or hurt you in anyway as long as you’re not eating the whole bag. I’m a vegan gluten free who doesn’t have the time to just be cooking all the time, so I eat the processed stuff, and guess what? It is all healthy; I just eat small or normal portions. Binging on any food is bad for you, having a variety of food, small to normal portions, and plenty of veggies and exercise, you’ll be healthy. Making stuff yourself adds calories from oils and such, it’s not tasty, and it’s time consuming. Processed vegan food is still healthy and so tasty, just don’t eat a whole bag of anything except some pure veggies. This channel gives reasons why everything is unhealthy; literally everything. It’s not unhealthy, it’s up to you to eat correct amounts, and not pick out the absolute unhealthiest stuff out there. Even an occasional Twinkie is going to hurt you a bit.

Great info! I’ve known this for a while, but it always amazes me how many people think that processed food that has “healthy” written on the packaging is good for them. However, balance is the key! I still eat cornflakes for breakfast, but I eat some fruit alongside while the rest of the day I eat whole foods and it works for me! Ofcourse, sometimes I am feeling some cookies or chocolate, so I will have it, but in moderation.p

I stoppped taking blood pressure medicine and lost 75 lbs on Keto.
If I eat carbs once a month I emedialty feel my blood pressure rise and get brain fog.
Once I get back on Keto I get feel better more energy mental clarity and stable blood sugar.

I feel like the information here about eating things with small amounts of gluten instead of gluten can be misleading and potentially lead to someone with a gluten intolerance take what you’re saying as it’s better for them to eat gluten in small doses than to go for gluten free options. The point of green powders is to get a concentrated amount of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants without having to eat kilos worth of fruit and veg. To successfully hit RDIs you would have to eat a GIGANTIC serving of veggies + fruits this is not sustainable or affordable for most.
Green powders in my opinion are not a waste of time, especially when used as a dietary supplement for malnourished individuals. A fruit salad or bowl of brussels sprouts will NEVER match green powders potency (At least a good one, that is) no matter which way you spin it.

Well the fructose in fruit, sugar which is glucose and fructose, also grain isn‘t good but fructose is a factor for NAFL so someone with a NAFL should stay away from grains, corn, rice, starchy food and fruits, the best diet cause there are all minerals and vitamins in animal food including organ meat, no problems with the carnivore lifestyle, the carnivore lifestyle also is the best way to keep insulin on a plateau without insulin spikes and without eating every 2-3 hours. I can fast 23 hours with a meal of animal food when I need to eat every 2-3 if I eat carbs

It’s all part of agenda 21. I was watching #harvesting machines agriculture machines, less n less immigrants would be required to do these jobs. It’s not only about climate change, it’s also abt job change; automation is taking most of the jobs away if not all. Is this the real reason why the whites have only just 2 kids? Well her plan is unsustainable..mathematically speaking; too many people, too little time too move food, too much energy required to grow, harvest, and manage the land. However, she is correct about the benefits of good whole foods..i was very sick..ate vegan, lost 30 pounds and felt great. Slowly got back to eating junk food, but did not immediately get sick. Your body is very resilient and can operate correctly for a long time after a period of nourishment( replenishment) as mine did..i was 99 percent vegan, actually ate fish too( nutritarian diet, dr fuhrman), anyway, my 6 months of vegan revived me at age 53, and kept me active and healthy for 3 years after. Im starting to feel run down again at age 57, august 2019, it may be time to re energize, re nourish, and heal my body. So, there are times when you must do whatever it takes to eat right. If you must revert to a sad diet for a while to survive thats ok. But a lifetime, of beer soda, doritos and sugar will kill you early. G.B.O.M.B.S. With the exception of a very simple basic, super yummy salad, juice to drink, and mixed berries, bananas, yogurt, and honey for dessert which should only take 30 or so minutes to prepare, or maybe beans or such in a crock pot where you throw in a bunch of beans and greens, a bucket load of seasons, water, and salt, and return in 4 hrs for soup, absolutely everything else takes HOURS!!

Funny thing about fresh food vis-a-vis processed food: unending efforts are put into making processed food taste good while fresh food is “designed” to taste worse. Fresh food is modified in order to grow faster, increase quantity, to last longer, to keep shape to look good but no concern is given to taste. While working on the former, taste is lost.

Processed foods are dead foods. That’s why your body is never satisfied no matter how much you eat, because your body can’t utilize the proper nutrition. Once you start eating proper foods you will feel a big difference. You can still indulge every now and then, but you’ll start do it less and less once you feel the difference of eating healthy.

That was a good show. It is too simplistic to focus just on reducing fat or sugar. It would be better at getting a bigger picture. There can be a dark triad of processed food. It has fat, sugar and salt. I didn’t know that processed food is less likely to go bad than healthier food. Maybe the mold has good taste in food. It is better to eat what the mold eats. One should eat such food before it gets moldy and not after. Grocery stores can be daunting, because there is processed junk everywhere. I appreciate the shopping tips. I notice that there is aggressive marketing of junk food. I am glad that is being addressed. I am surprized that the food industry is useing the same sleazy tacticts as the tobacco industry. I think a lot of people know that processed foods are not as healthy as whole foods but I think most of us rarely consider how eating imported processed foods impacts our local environment and the local sustainable farmers. So here we are some 100 years after Teddy Roosevelt and Upton Sinclair… Instead of cutting our dairy and meat products with chalk-water and formaldehyde and worse, we’re now using 50+ varieties of fructose to dilute the nutritional quality of food and keep consumers coming back for more. Just because fructose is found in nature doesn’t mean it’s good for you in high concentrations. At least we have truth in labeling… we just have to follow-through and act on that knowledge (instead of our fructose-induced dopamine addictions).

Essential viewing. I’ve lost trust in processed foods and now I’m spending more time thinking whether the foods I am eating are something my ancestors hundreds of years ago would have eaten. Would rather eat fairly bland food I’ve prepared freshly than trusting outside sources. It’s already a risk it seems not growing and producing those raw foods (think pesticides and genetic modification), so I’m reluctant to further trust outside sources to process those raw foods in a manner which cares for my body. Tired of inflammatory related illnesses and problems. Time to take control and be responsible with everything that enters our bodies. Thanks for producing this excellent video

My mom stopped cooking when my dad died in the early 90s. She lived on processed foods. High sugar. Skinny. Starved herself and smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day and a pot of coffee. Every night at 8 pm, she had buttered white toast or a bowl of ice cream. She died in her bedroom at 85, very peacefully, I took care of her for 8 years. Her last taste of food was a teaspoon of sugar and some coke. I think people are panicking. I eat whole foods and things I cook. I doubt I’ll make it until 85 and die with such peace.
The problem also reflects classism. The rich control the land and the food that’s grown on it. It’s sad.
How would you like it if your trusted human providers of food, water healthcare and shelter suddenly terrorised you to the point literally of involuntary evacuation of your bowls? They frightened you into an unbearable state of panic so that you tremble uncontrollably, your body flushed throughout with adrenochrome then killed you? Animals sense fear, danger and death. Being a son of a farmer I have witnessed all this.

I tried the keto diet and it made me really constipated that I got a hemorrhoids ♀️. So I gave it up and just started eating everything I love but I was cooking it and also eating it in moderation. I’m losing weight and I’m happier. I also stop eating out. Three months and I feel good. Find what you like and make it in a healthier way.

Enjoy your vids subbed. I have one serious issue though regarding fish. Fish are hardly healthy. Sure they contain Omega3 and other nutrients BUT fish are like sponges for all the toxins in our oceans and seas and the bigger the fish (tuna anyone?) the bigger the “Sponge effect” (plus big fish eat little fish all containing toxins). Just look at one factory dumping toxic waste 24/7 into the ocean and then try to imagine the amount of such factories doing so for years on end. That’s what fish (and other sea”food”) absorb. In addition fish/seafood have a degree of mercury in them this was the case way before the industrial revolution due to volcanic activity in our oceans. So to conclude I would certainly NOT advise eating fish/seafood. Other than that I agree with your list.
Pay a little extra now to enjoy high-quality nourishment or pay a lot extra later to suffer in a hospital.
