I saw a girl use rice cake crackers and she put avocado with everything bagel seasoning on it. I have a package of no salt Quakers rice cakes I need to use up soon and I usually only put peanut butter or I’ll do pbj on mine. But, I want to try avocados on it and hummus.
So that’s just sad. I have been eating rice cakes for more than a year now, since I replaced any type of bread with them. There are different sorts of rice cakes, mine have only two ingredients: puffed whole-grain rice (94%) and quinoa (6%). The label says they contain protein (8,6 g) and fat (2,5 g). They might be empty carbs or have no nutrients whatsoever, but who cares? I eat them together with food, mostly with vegetables, fruit, cream soups and nut butter. I don’t need nutrients from the rice cakes, because I take them fromm somewhere else. I just need them to accompany my nutrients. But why are they so high on the glicemic index, and why does rice have arsenic, and why is everything so complicated?
I love these videos. Your last one was amazing with the Doenjang Jjigae recipe. It’s so nice that all of these are very simple recipes with not a ton of appliances or ingredients but still tasty! So many other post I see have really complex recipes or they just are not satiating at all. These really help me uncomplicate food. And of course once in awhile I can eat out or cook something a little more complex, but realistically I just don’t have time to do that 7 days a week! Thank you

Great video and yeah, theater popcorn is insanely bad for you. At the same time, it’s definitely possible to make a healthier version of this snack. We get organic popcorn kernels and pop them in a stovepop popper called a Whirly Pop. We use a blend of grassfed butter and organic avocado oil as the popping medium and we sprinkle the finished popcorn with freshly ground pink Himalayan salt. Yeah, there are carbs but this is a favorite carb cycling / refeed food for us because it’s satisfying and high-fiber. We’ve been Keto for four months and are fat adapted so we “pop” right back into ketosis the next day w/ no keto flu symptoms, etc. We stayed away from this popcorn for the first two months…now we have it once every couple of weeks. It’s one of the things that makes this lifestyle sustainable for us.
Just eat what you want. Life is too short to care about being extra healthy. Live life people and have fun.

I’m super lost because I see all of these fitness youtubers eating all the carbs they want to give them energy (which I want also for my workouts), but I never see how you eat in order to initially loose the weight in order to start building lean muscle.

I`ve been implementing this fat loss plan “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) for a few weeks right now and so far I love them! I have the power I want without controlling my urge for food without making me feel jittery. I haven`t changed anything else I`m doing and have lost 7 lbs..
Dieting, eating healthy are of course always important, but let’s not beat around the bush here. Genetics play the biggest role in body type. No matter HOW much I diet and exercise, my body just does not sit on the skinny end. Homeostasis for me is like 18% body fat. My metabolism does not work long term to keep me at any less. I can eat 1000 calories/day and burn 1500/day doing cardio, but eventually this won’t prove sustainable and my body will revert back to its equilibrium.
Better to have a regular, balanced routine and make it a lifestyle. Then, whatever your body sits at in 1yr should suffice. No point obsessing over getting the perfect body.

You do NOT need to take intermittent fasting to this extreme to lose fat. Not eating until 2:30? That’s ridiculous. Truth be told intermittent fasting only works because it’s easier to maintain a caloric deficit if you have less time to eat. The caloric deficit is the key factor. If you stick to that given caloric deficit, it doesn’t matter when you eat. It really doesn’t.
how to make fruit and almond butter rice cakes: Put some almond butter and fruit on a rice cake.
Some time if I did skip a meal. I have some thing a little more hearty.
Guys try this for the best low cal option WITHOUT OIL!
1. Get a packet of kernels (with nothing in them)
2. Get a microwave safe bowl (larger one)
3. Put a bit of kernels in (check if the bowl is big enough)
4. Put a microwave safe plate over the bowl
5. Microwave for 2 minutes (maybe a bit more, depends on microwave)
6. Take out, add salt. NO OIL NEEDED <3

This video is a little misleading. If you want to argue not to eat popcorn because corn “isn’t Keto” that’s fine, but telling people that something that may make the lifestyle more sustainable for them “Is hard to eat in ANY amount” while using a serving size that the vast majority of people would find crazy is disengenuous.
I recently purchased a bag of heirloom popcorn from Whole Foods by “pipcorn” and have had ZERO problems working a few handfuls into my diet whenever I’m feeling a craving for something crunchy. So long as you respect it and don’t go crazy there’s no reason you can’t have popcorn. My two big handfuls of popcorn (6g enough to cover the bottom of a paper plate) were 4 g of net carbs today and I melted a half tbspn of butter and sprinkled some sea salt in it and tossed my popcorn in it.
Additionally I don’t know where you got your data for the gi for popcorn, the USDA seems to think air popped pop corn is 55 gi so either one of you has the number wrong or there’s different numbers for different methods for popping corn. I generally like your content but this felt a little off to me.
