I like cooked buckwheat groats. That’s my favourite type of groats together with millet and pearl barley groats. You can add it to everything, to soups, to meat, add the sauce or roast it on the pan with some spices and onion and some meat. Really tasty, but not everyone may like it, especially if they are not used to its taste or something. It appeared on my table regularly from the childhood:)

I eat it raw everyday as a cereal with raw homemade oat milk and completely loaded with fresh fruit as local and in season as possible, dates, raw chia, hemp and walnuts, and a little real salt, maple syrup and spirulina. I always keep like 40lbs on hand in the basement. Truly a super food

Can you boil the raw buckwheat groats just like you would cook oatmeal? I’ve read conflicting things, that when you cook buckwheat it should be the toasted buckwheat, or that you should toast buckwheat before boiling it. I bought toasted buckwheat before, it has a burnt flavor. Never tried the raw buckwheat. I read buckwheat flour in stores comes from toasted buckwheat. Are there specific reasons to use raw over toasted? Do they cook differently?

I made this today and it was delicious. Of course I added my own spin. I cooked the buckwheat first then added to blender with mango, maple syrup and spices. Then I warmed it in a pot. I put it in a bowl and added dates, coconut chips, walnuts and coconut nectar. It was simply scrumptious.

This looks real good and I am going to try it. Buckwheat is in the rhubarb family and my husband is allergic to rhubarb (stops breathing) so I’m afraid to give it to him. Do you think there is another grain I could use? It would be good for him to take to work for breakfast.
Does it make any difference if one eats regular buckwheat or kasha? Kasha is the same thing, only it’s roasted and has a darker color. Would the roasting make kasha dangerous to eat? Would it increase the risk of getting cancer, heart disease, diabetes, faster aging, etc? Regular unroasted buckwheat is ok, but kasha tastes 100 times better. I hope it’s not unhealthy.

If you get canker sores you may want to see if it helps to avoid toothpaste and tap water spiked with Fluoride, if you don’t already. (regular filters do not remove Fluoride).

I love buckwheat. It has a wide application in my kitchen.
I always soak it in the water overnight.
Then I rinse well. I add it to my Husband’s shake after training, or I do my own with chlorella and aronia.
It can also be a great replacement for bread.
Buckwheat and linseed we soak in water (preferably overnight). Wash buckwheat before use after soaking, do not rinse linseed. Combine together in one bowl. We can add spices such as we like, curcuma, cayenne, smoked peppers etc.
We put it on the Teflon foil and then dry it at a temperature below 40 ° C.
We have a very nice replacement for bread.
You can also do granola in the same way, adding dates, peanut butter, etc.

If you can eat seitan you’re not suffering from Celiac’s. If you have Chron’s, you might be getting symptoms ( kanker sores ) from yeast ( nooch ).

I love your products, Bob. Ive never tried the buckwheat groats because I cant really afford the price point for high quality organic stuff at the quantities I eat. I bet theyre great though. I generally toast mine pretty well and either eat them like that throughout the day or bust out the classic light blue hand crank processor and make some rough flour out of it. Add milk, honey and cinnamon and stir well while heating. Breakfast of champions.
