I think it’s “WW” wellness that Works because the weight loss isn’t working and they saw that they better do something before they go down the tubes altogether. Sorry but I think prizes are BS, we don’t need prizes. All I can say is thank goodness I’m at goal, which I got to by tweaking the original Smart Points. program.

Hi Melissa i’m thinking of starting WW this week. Mainly for health reasons both physical and mental. I’m really tired of all the doctor visits and prescription meds that are helping me cope with life and my body as it is right now. I’m ready to lose weight because i know i will benefit healthwise. Also i’m feeling that if i’m spending less on medications then i’ll save a lot of money. I also live in Canada.
So i used to be a size 10 Uk which is skinny met my now boyfriend and put on weight struggled with food as he has a big appetite but he doesnt put on weight so tried every diet programe to no avail plus just had a newborn 1st january so really want to find a diet programe that works

BEST video I have seen on WW! I am considering signing up but I am confused by the differences (green/ blue/purple); which one will be best for me. I would like to drop 15-20 lbs. Like you, I don’t eat breakfast or I eat it much later. My main focus is on eating whole food and the least processed. However, I don’t eat any meats; I do eat eggs and dairy. I really enjoyed this. I started ww green in January with 90 lbs to lose. I’ve lost 2 points per week so far (14 lbs total) eating all my dailies, all my weeklies and not exercising.. I know this will have to change eventually but for now I’m enjoying it all!

what happens if I don’t focus on the point system, and just eat one proper weight watchers recipe for each meal each day, along with regular exercise at the gym, would this work too? cuz I’m not in the mood to micro manage and count points.
This is EXACTLY my mindset on this new program. The all or nothing and why My fitness pal was no longer working. I learned to cheat mfp or would get bummed I was out of cals and quit. Same for the breakfast, snacking, and trusting the system and not overthinking it. At least until I revamp my ways of eating. I want to learn for the longterm.
How much is www for the app and the meetings or is it just 20:00 a month for all?

Hi Melissa. I just came across your video and I love it. I did Weight Watchers many years ago and have decided to go back on it again. When you talked about breakfast and calories that is me. Sometimes I do wake up and want something for breakfast but not always, so it helps to know some people don’t eat breakfast. BLUE has worked for me as a good maintenance tool, so I’m sticking with what has worked for me for the last 3 1/2 years. Options are great for the members who feel they might need a change. My mom just joined and she had been a part of weight watchers years ago and lost 40 pounds and so she hates the new program lol and hates the recipe builder in the app and I’m like WHY!!!!!!! But I know I freaked when it went from ww to all these colored plans so I stayed with blue too because like you said the chicken and the eggs! Actually one should only be eating a single serving of any foods regardless of plan you’re on. Zero rice doesn’t mean you can eat four cups of rice a day.

Hey, I think the new myww is really good, allowing flexibility whilst being in a calorie deficit is a fabulous place to be.
I have choosen green plan, as I am a bit of an ad hoc eater and we do eat out quite a bit. Also I didn’t take advantage of the 0 point food list on freestyle (blue plan). I also think I need more restriction from carbs as I go a tad crazy, therefore I feel at the moment the purple palm wouldn’t work for me. Perhaps when I have gained more discipline and accountability for for habits then this may be an easier option as not necessarily need to track everything (with it being a larger 0 point food list).
I am feeling really hopeful that the Green plan is right for me and I get this excess weight off for good!
Also like to say I love watching your hauls, vlogs and what I eat in days, I get alot of inspiration for food and home bits

Amanda, I have a question about keeping the motivation going during difficult times. Specifically when you’re in a great deal of pain. I have several types of arthritis & numerous problems with my back. When the pain is at a moderate level, I’m ok, but when it goes really high & it’s unbearable, my motivation f!lies right out of the window. What suggestions do you have so I can keep the motivation during these times? Thanks
My workshop and first weigh-in (!!!) is this Saturday. I’m taking this week for research and to learn about WW. My plan is to follow the freestyle diet for now, whilst researching the new plans:) I’m hoping that this is going to go great, and I have no doubt that it won’t. A bit nervous for my first weigh-in and to officially choose which plan I am going to do, but as I said, it’s operation research this week. Wish me luck!

I’ve lost 75 lbs with ww a few years ago that took me a year to do. I have a problem with doing the maintenance as a forever life deal and slowing gained 60 lbs back. For some reason I thought I was a “big shot” and could start eating sugary foods which to me is so dang addictive. But that’s in the past and I’m so happy that ww freestyle is helping me to get my eating back on track. I’m so grateful for this program.

I like this concept but I can’t see why people pay to have WW basically count their calories and carbs for them? We all know what a healthy calorie intake is and that we should limit sugar and processed food (such as WW snacks). And if someone doesn’t know all the info on eating right it’s readily available for FREE. It’s common sense stuff. I know that some people need the meetings but I just googled it and found several free weight loss support groups and a zillion online communities. I guess I just see it as a waste of money I’d rather spend on a new wardrobe! But if it’s working for people that’s great.

My biggest struggle with WW is that I have a family and do t make small meals for myself often, so if I make spaghetti or Salmon with heavy cream and spinach, etc how on wealth do I know how much butter, etc to count????

The best thing I’ve discovered recently is Pahla B’s fitness channel. I think green is actually more stricter then blue because on blue you can over eat because 0 point foods still have calories. And green you have less

You mentioned having go-to snacks or meals at restaurants in your back pocket so you can make healthy choices. I struggle with this. If we do eat out, I have no idea where to go or what to get. And the things I have found are high in points and small portions and I’m still hungry. Then I get upset because I wasted so many points on something and am still hungry!

I’ve been doing purple for two weeks and it’s been going great. it encourages me to eat more whole foods. Im vegan and it makes a lot more sense. Plus, I feel less guilty for eating a good amount of oatmeal which always annoyed me about ww freestyle.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this video. I so needed to hear this as I have been really thinking about WW. 8 years ago I gained a massive amount of weight following a cancer diagnosis. Between meds, depression, stress, inactivity… the weight jumped on. Sadly, my youngest daughter was homeschooled at he time and she was right beside me for it all. She gained a lot of weight. We would both love to join WW and attend meetings and utilize app. Is there a two for one price or family plan?
At the end of last year I tried WW on line right around when they made the change. I didn’t do so well and I’m not sure if it was because I was doing it on line or what. Do you think I would do better going to the meetings? I also had trouble understanding the program. I need to lose about 90 pounds and don’t know what to do. Also what is the cost to join and for the weekly meetings??? I need help.

Secondly I do workout pretty religiously 4 to 5 days a week including kickboxing, boxing and hit training and unfortunately haven’t had any weight loss. In fact it went up, but I can assure u it’s not muscle because I see very visible flab over my belly I’m 5’4 and now weight 165 lbs.

I’m glad you explained the weeklies because I only do the online version and I was curious how those worked. I personally haven’t used any of them yet maybe that’s why I’ve lost 20 pounds since February 1rst…I think I’ll still continue not to use them while I have the “beginners motivation”. I’m sure it will wear off and my weight loss will slow down to only one to two pounds a week but I’m going to enjoy it will I can. Thank you for another great and helpful video!

I’m listening to this video which I happened to come up on, and to let you know that I’m 69 years young, ☺️ you talk about eating our weekly points which I’ve been avoiding completely because due to health issues I can’t exercise at all, although I can do most of my housework by myself, which I’m very happy to be doing…I started WW January 23, 2020, and so far I’ve lost 38 pounds, but I’m afraid to not being successful to loosing more simply because I can’t exercise….my question for you is should I use my weekly points too even though I’m not exercising? What u are saying makes so much sense, when you say that our body will stop loosing if we deprive it of too many calories….thank you, I love the way you explain everything, I’m doing WW online because where I live, we don’t have WW meetings, too small of a community…

I’m actually a bit relieved by the news of the changes. I quit years ago because a lot of the recipes were questionably even food. The food was like a science experiment. I don’t eat processed foods and so WW was difficult about 10 years ago. I just rejoined and am trying to figure out how it works. I can’t find a lot of the info on the website so came searching on YT. I’m sure the info is on the website but I can’t find it easily.

I’m going green. I lost 30 pounds with SmartPoints in the past. I’ve really struggled with the Flex Plan. Definitely excited to restart after being away for a while. I never cancelled my subscription, kept paying the monthly dues. I’ve been trying to get back on plan for the past 3 months but have struggled with Flex. I loved SmartPoints so hopefully I’ll have success again with green. Fingers crossed.
I do the workshop and stayed on blue also after the plan options. I’m kinda like you were I also consider myself timid; definitely an introvert so I have been thinking switching to digital since I just sit there and listen lol I love ww but monthly plans can be pricey!

When I was just out of high school (about 10 years ago), I joined Weight Watchers, and I guess at the time it was such a difficult system to follow, and my anxiety about meetings was so bad, that I very quickly gave up. I just took a good look at the website after watching this, and now I’m seriously considering the 3-month trial!
Great advice and so motivating. I’ll think differently about using my weekly points. And bump up my activity. I’m nervous about slowing my metabolism. Thanks for being so real.
3yr Gold Vegan member here. Purple is also good for Vegans because oats, beans, pulses, lentils, chickpeas tofu, brown rice etc are all zero points and these are vegan 101 foods. It’s Green for me this week and next because I’m eating out. I think the ability to change things around to avoid boredom is in itself a really exciting thing. I will definitely be trying them all out.
I started on November 1st and lost over 5 pounds in the first week on blue…think I’ll stay there for awhile…although green is very interesting to me. It kind of reminds me of the plan WW had 15-20 years ago and it worked very well for me.

Pretty new on this journey. If using weekly points is it suggested to use them all at once, or is it ok to say go over daily one day a couple points and then a couple days later maybe go over a point or two again. I’m following the standard plan right now and not the one that offers all the “zero point” foods until I get into a rhythm and more disciplined. I know myself, and my brain hears zero points it thinks it can eat all it wants. And if I’m not feeling deprived do I have to use all the weekly points every week or even the daily points every day to be successful?

One of my favorite snacks is an individual serving size of Emerald Cocoa Roasted Almonds & a sliced up Gala or Honey Crisp apple. It’s only 3 points for the nuts (which I buy on Amazon) & the Apple of course is free! This really fills me up & the combination tastes awesome!

Guess I’m lucky my smart phone and tablet didn’t get dropped. My mom was explaining ww too me but it sound like competive sports you bet on yourself and pay money but I guess it dose come with a scanner tool for groceries and stuff least that’s what my mom dose and you can compete with other people but that’s optional but I don’t like it when I gets out of hand like so and so lost weight but I did again I’m just an observer and just see my mom she gose to the meetings too shes been doing ww for over 10 years
Let’s be honest. Weight Watchers is a billion dollar company that still exists in spite of it massive failure rate. How are they able to convince fat people they are the way to lose weight? By marketing a “new” program which is just a mix up of the previous one and bases it on the same failed weight loss system that causes failure. If it was sustainable, you wouldn’t have to keep being a member because they would have fixed your weight issues.

What I find confusing is that I took the assessment quiz and it matched me up with the green plan, but then all the videos I watch on YouTube about the green plan suggest that it’s great for people who like to eat out…. & like the structure of weighing food. I never eat out I cook all the time. I love tons of vegetables, fish and oatmeal, but have no desire to weigh or measure food! (At lease not obsessively)so now I don’t know what to pick♀️ any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Since I’m vegetarian I think my food survey put me in line with purple. Lots of veggies so i think this is perfect for me. 17 points doesnt seem like a lot but with pasta being 0 points I think it’s really doable

I started WW a week ago and most days I don’t eat all my points because I eat many zero point foods. If I’m not tracking the zero point foods (no points) how do I know I’m not eating too much? I really worry about it. Any advice or thoughts?
I really want to try this but the 0 point foods scare me! I’m afraid I’ll eat tons of 0 point foods and then all my daily points. Flexibility is not a good thing for me. I need something concrete, this is where you stop!
I would love to see a more “clean eating” version of Weight Watchers. I agree that they’ve made some serious movement in that direction with expanding the zero point foods to include lean protein and fruits/veggies and I’m very interested to see what the future holds! I may just have to give the program another try very soon.
Hi Natasha, I am looking to join WW but due to my type of lifestyle I think the green plan would suit me??? I work in retail and do various shifts and I cook for myself usually. I tend to use alot of WW meals and ww bread, yoghurts etc… I need limits.. I lost 8 stone 12 years ago on the WW plan 30 points a day and no free food. Would green be similar? Thank you xx

I’m trying Purple. I’ve been in a rut with blue. I like the freedom of purple and have forced myself to listen to my hunger signals the past few weeks preparing for the purple launch. Honestly I have left rice pasta and potatoes on my plate and stopped eating when i am full. I also like that there are fewer dailies so I don’t splurge on chips ( crisps in the UK) and sweets. Adding in the healthy carbs has stopped my cravings for the unhealthy ones. Still love you and will keep you updated on how purple goes for me!
I am going to stick with blue for this week but after my next workshop I’m going to try purple for a few weeks. When I think about long term sustainability it seems pretty realistic. I do think it’ll be a bit of a challenge during the holidays, though.
Is all about calories!! The calories you eat and the calories you burn, you can call it points,farts or dogs if you want! I guaranty yo that you will recover all the weight and more!

It would have been much better if I found out this kind of “Yamzοkο Weebly” (Google it) a few years back. For 3 weeks of using the programs, I lost TWELVE lbs Of course I work out once or twice a week, and also eat good food. The end result presented to me is incredible. Certainly, this plan is strongly suggested and I also do hope this would work to you too mainly because it did to me..
Thank you so much for this video! I am struggling with the same few pounds. My first week I only atey dailies and saw a drop in weight. Then I had a cheat meal and went into my weeklies and haven’t seen any drop at all. I’m trying to keep the mindset that eating my weeklies is fine but I can’t see to get anything off even with working out 2-4 days a week. Hopefully we will all see the results we are looking for.
I’m an aspiring vegan so the purple plan works great for me. Thanks for the information. One thing I think people forget about when they think of 0 point foods is that there are quantities to the foods. For instance rice the serving is 1/2 cup. Even on the purple plan, 0 points does not mean I can eat as much rice as I want.

Glad I found your channel! I just signed up last night but was waiting for a scale to be delivered this morning before I finish setting it up and pick my plan. I’m definitely nervous for weighing myself.. But I’m excited overall. I’ve tried so many other things in the past too that just didn’t work for me. So here’s to hoping WW does! I’m sticking with only been in WW for two weeks and lost 9lb so as you said if it’s not broke don’t fix it. I do think plan is far too similar to SW and for me that’s a no go. I love the fact that the plan is there for the future if I get stuck in a rut!!

I am over the moon that they will be doing away with all the artificial sweeteners!!!!!!! I cannot have any of them because they give me migraines. So I hate when people suggest items with those in them! Thank you so much WW!!!!
OK. Firstly most people who are overweight do not eat because we are hungry, and don’t stop when satisfied.
Food is an obsession and exercise is not. It’s simple. You need to expend more energy then you are taking in.
So…in my mind this is how I rationalize what I have learned about WW.
If I eat as much 0 point food as I want, no limits, (it is zero points after all) I can then consume an additional 20 or so points (1000 calories) that same day and would still loose weight.
So if I ate three pounds chicken breast no added anything, a pound of apples and two pounds of carrots and other legal vegetables. Plus a 1000 extra calories in day day from bread (from left over points.) I would still drop 20 lbs a month. This for MANY is not a silly or stupid question.
The chicken alone has around 1400 hundred calories. (And yes I could easily eat two pounds, I don’t have an off switch, and am not easily sated as mentioned above)
You are saying I can still loose weight? If so where do I sign up?
There are day that I don’t even use half my daily points, and I’m still losing a LOT of weight and I don’t feel hungry or anything. Matter a fact I eat some meal even when I’m not hungry. This coming from a guy that started at 5-9 ft 310lbs.

Love this video! Question: I was told that you can only go to one meeting per week. I had the same issue, the group that fits my schedule is full of 65+ year old women. I felt so out of place that I stopped going. I ended up letting my membership expire, but I repurchased recently but with digital only…. debating going back to both.

I joined around the same time as you! Love all of your videos My tip to anyone would be to be careful if you do decide to switch from weeklies to fitpoints. I find on very heavy work and exercise weeks I definitely use my weeklies but if I would have used my fitpoints I would have had over 100 extra and that seems really excessive to be in a caloric deficit. Something just tells me it’s not as accurate as sticking to the weeklies for extra calories.

So I joined up to WW last week. I’ve yo Yo dieted my whole life. Many crash and fad diets..omg…I know its early days but I finally feel like I’ve found ‘it’. I’ve never enjoyed tracking but this app makes it so easy! This plan is everything I’ve been looking for!

Please do more WW videos. I really liked your thinking on more Whole Foods as opposed to snacks. If I try to eat as much as possible for the lowest points I fall off.

You spend most of you time talking about WW branding as opposed to the program. Simply change your title to ‘branding’, as opposed to ‘program’.
I hate the new program. I have lost 5 pounds, gained 5 pounds, lost 5 pounds, gained 5 pounds…. I went back to my old fashioned slider….boom back to weight lost. That is why I joined. It is a waste of money.

I would just like to thank you for the sheer positivity in this video. I woke up and watched another video on weight watchers or WW whatever you wanna call it and it was so damn depressing and not the way I wanted to start my day. This turned it all around for me.

I just signed up tonight. SOOOOO confused how to cook for one. Had gastric bypass years ago so large meals are out for me. I have to figure out how and what to eat on more of a 5-8 meal a day menu.
