Cook and stir shallots, garlic, and red pepper flakes in the hot butter and oil until shallots are translucent, 3 to 4 minutes. Season shrimp with kosher salt and black pepper; add to the skillet and cook until pink, stirring occasionally, 2 to 3 minutes.

While pasta is cooking, prepare the shrimp and sauce. Season shrimp with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4.Scoop the garlic out with a slotted spoon and discard. Add the shrimp to the garlic oil; sprinkle with the salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of the parsley.
Cook over medium heat until shrimp is opaque and turns pink. Remove the pan from the heat and add the drained angel hair pasta, Parmesan cheese, and the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of parsley.

Most recipes add lemon juiceand zest. But i guess it still works out with or without lemon.
I think boiling shrimp for 5 min is too long. I’d saute it for 1-2 min at high temperature. I would also use
bigger skillet so that all the shrimp can fit in one layer and gets a nice crust. To get a white wine reduction, maybe you could reduce some of it in a seperate pan, before deglazing.
Tip: don’t you ever put oils on your boiling water it will be hard for the sauce to stick to the pasta.

adding the oil in the boiling water is completely a waste. The things those keep boiled foods non sticky are, how soon you wash it off with cold water and how much did you boil it..if you over boil it, the added oil in the water will of no use. It will remain sticky..
should you thaw the shrimp and vegetables before you cook them?? it’s much faster to cook. you got the color from outside but it might still frozen from the inside?
fortunately not! this sauce is more flavorful than the regular tomato/cream base sauce as it allows the flavor of the shrimps to be tasted. Most sauces would have just covered the flavor of the meat and you wouldn’t be able to tell what you were eating.
I added spinach and my favorite cheese (white cheddar) it was fast and easy to make, absolutely delicious ❤

yup gotta agree..shrimp is quite bland regardless of the freshness..fresh shrimp has a chew to it whilst frozen shrimp is flaky..
lobster on the other hand has a very sweet taste to it if boiled..i prefer the shrimp to be boiled as shrimp broth does have a little bit sweetness to it..frying it doesn’t produce any extra flavour to it because it doesn’t brown like meat does..people fry seafood usually to mask the fishy smell..

You didn’t need that second portion of butter. Just substitute it with the leftover pasta water and you’re good to go.

I absolutely love this recipe. I couldn’t find cherry tomatoes so I use stewed tomatoes instead and I’m Jamaican so I love my seasoning so I seasoned the shrimp with some Caribbean spice.

I made this last night and i took the tails off the shrimp and the dish was amazing lots of flavor.

the god damn shrimp man. One, you didn’t season it. Two, you didn’t have the decency to take out the veins that have shit in em. Third, didn’t even take off the tails. Hell, you didn’t even defrost the shrimp. Don’t get me started with that frozen crap you call “vegetables”. Didn’t even buy, and cut your own. I am a self-respecting 14 year old, and even I can cut my vegetables. So disappointing. The whole video was disappointing, and unappealing. Overall, the end product looks okay. P.S., i’m no critic, so take my criticism with a grain, or gallon, of salt.

I’m gonna do this right now…but I don’t understand the “tail part”. You don’t eat the shell over the tail, do you? Seems a silly question, but that is what this looks like you’re doing. The reason I ask is b/c some people mention cutting off the tail and I wonder why they do that if it is peeled there, too. OMG! JUST MADE IT! It is easy enough (this time I was smarter than usual & had everything out & ready beforehand). I separated the yellow seeds from the red flakes & only used the red flakes & added a tad of smoked paprika so it was the perfect spicy. I also used squish drained w a slotted spoon, fire roasted diced tomatoes. I followed the directions EXACTLY and i cannot describe how good this is! I never had a shrimp meal recipe turn out great, before. Thanks! so much!! PS TIP It’s hard to judge how much water to use (per spaghetti, and after using the required recipe amount of liquid), so I keep a small pot of water boiling nearby & add 1/2 cup fulls at a time as needed.

Bro, I love your fantastic channel. Is amazing. But I’m Italian and I want to tell u this: never cook and put aside the pasta. NEVEEEER… when the pasta boil (without oil) u can cook the shrimps and then, when the spaghetti is already hard and not well cooked, like after 78 minutes, u can put all togheter and mix all. If is all too dry, u can put a bit of hot water (the same where u cook the pasta) and stir for 23 minutes. If u listen to me, u can eat a real Italian style pasta. Only in this way

You don’t need to add oil to the pasta water. The Italians don’t! Instead when you strain the pasta, then add a tbsp of olive oil to keep them from sticking and you don’t waste good olive oil

Ok I did this but I used spaghetti sauce and I put 4 to 5 garlic and I used fresh shrimp and I used the frozen peas and carrots after they throw out.it was good you need to let the shrimp pick up the garlic taste with the black pepper in the butter with dice onions. Before you put the spaghetti and peas and carrots in because you are just heating them up.

Wow….I made this last and it turned out amazing. I really does taste restaurant quality. My 4 year old toddler said that it was delicious and that it smelled good. This is a keeper and so easy to make. The wine gave it a phenomenal depth of flavor. Mind you, I used a $5 chardonnay from Aldi it turned out great!!
Just a half cup of starchy pasta water would’ve helped to emulsify your already well seasoned sauce and coated your pasta well. But otherwise this is a great fusion recipe

I made this as recipe suggested. It was really nice…. But I felt I needed to freshen the taste for me by squeezing a good amount of lemon juice over the finished dish. I would definitely do this again, adding lemon juice always and probably skipping the butter…thanks

With all due respect, this recipe is not worth posting on Youtube. This dish is for like a camper in the forest. What did you actually make? Frozen ingredients in a canned tomato sauce mixed and served. That’s called Bullshit cooking, sorry no offence but this is crap.

That cheese is a no no in Italian cooking. Greeks will sometimes use feta cheese with seafood but if you go to italy they will talk you out of it! Otherwise looks great!

I would love to try this dish out but I don’t care for tomato flavor in shrimp so I will use cream of shrimp soup instead tonight for dinner.
This reminds me of my cream cheese pasta video. I love that you used the Chardonnay wine. You can also use other wines such as white zinfandel, sauvignon blanc, and pinot grigio. Any of these will still give amazing flavor to this dish. Keep up the great recipes!

I think the tails should have been removed from the shrimp before adding to the pan; especially if its used in a pasta dish. Otherwise every bite you take with shrimp, you’d have to remove the tail.
