I want to begin this post by saying this may be an absolute eye roll of a question, but that’s what reddit is for.
Was sincerely entertaining the idea of getting a BSN. Wanted to ask, is the ongoing MD VS Nurse conflict really as bad as this subreddit makes it seem? Kind of just seems like an enormous pissing contest and battle royale of ego’s which I can’t seem to get behind. I would not be a physician, I would not claim to have the knowledge of one, why does this sort of divide happen in the workplace?
Is it nurses actually believing they have the wherewithal of a Licensed physician as the basis for it all? Or are a majority of doctors just crass because of burnout.
Also wondering if the conflict is either less or a breed of its own with PA’s for whatever reason.
Want to start a discussion here. Sincerely looking for any and all opinions. This is not a biased post, I’m genuinely interested in the thought process from both sides.
I will be responding to everyone as this is a discussion and I appreciate you!
