After hitting up a 9Round Fitness in Cedar Park, Texas, I was left with no doubt: the 30-minute boxing workout is tough and programmatically genius. The combination of heavy bag boxing and kickboxing work, conditioning, and core drills set to a three-minute timer help keep you moving while taxing your system in just 30 minutes. The 9Round franchise owner, Phil, welcomed us to his new gym and offered us a quick synopsis of what he does. In short, 9round is a 30-minute kickboxing, boxing and circuit workout.
I need to mention that I LOVE the feel of new fitness equipment. Aside from feeling big and bad from the dim lights, I felt empowered.9Round workouts are split into three-minute intervals, which a trainer will guide you through. The workout circuits also change frequently, so your workout won’t get stale.
10 years tracked lifting (14 years total), BJJ (1 year), Boxing (6 years), and Kickboxing (2 years). Took a free class at two different locations to see what it was about it since my younger cousin is into these kind of things. 9rounds is a 30minute workout comprised of 9 rounds of 3min each (30s between sets where you stay warmed up). Pro.

This is boom. Do it after workout. Perfect 10 mins to end everything. Thanks .
Great videos, currently i have started working out again, But due to a bad back i cant do certain things, like sit up and crunches or running. Any ideas for strengthening my lower back? i currently cycle 10 miles a day and then do a 30 minute workout with 10 minutes punch bag work out.
i started going to the gym, 4 times a week…3 days for bodybuilding and one day for cardio, swiming and bag workout..is this a good program??if u can give me some tips..thanks
Fort minor remember the name Hell yeah bad ass and good job you guys are bad asses how much is it a month?
Do they play music? That is way important for me! Love you, girl!
This 61 year old stressed out granny has fallen in love with your 10 minute workout!! Thank you, stay safe and God bless!!
Do you recommend doing wall squats if my heavy bag isn’t heavy enough to support me?
Love your content and follow along videos thank you so much for these great workouts!
There are definitely lots of approaches to hand wrapping. I learned mine from a kickboxing coach in Pennsylvania a good many years ago. With long wraps I like to do the wrist, in between the fingers, the thumb joint, the knuckles, and then finish on the wrist again.
Hi Nate, as a nearly 50yo slightly overweight male I have been feeling the passage of time. Fortunately I started to get into doing some fitness before the Pandemic took hold but I have created a small gym for my family as we ride the COVID-19 out. I have found your videos good value and good fun and I am certainly getting the use of my (not so) heavy bag. Thanks for your efforts, they are appreciated.
I used your workout today. it was a great workout! I like how you stay with me throughout the whole workout! I will use your heavy bag workout on my heavy bag days. thanks for the video! im hooked!
I go to UFC Gym in Baton Rouge and have for about 5 years now. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Intense workout that works your entire body. This would be a great thing to try wish we had one here. Considering Orange Theory for the “trainer” type vibe like this offers. Boxing is really just so empowering to me it is anyway:)
I don’t know why this channel is not known. It’s a very good content.
Nice workout! Really enjoyed it. Compliments my off days from kickbox. Have a great week x
3 weeks into this and I must say this shit is legit! I burn mad calories and stamina increases. Love this
Hey, Nate, great as usual! At least for me, great for conditioning and focusing! Big thanks, big appreciation! I feel I cand do the rounds longer (3 min), would be still ok? Thanks!
Hello Nate i m french, merci pour toutes tes vidéos d entraînement qui mon permis de beaucoup progressé… La meilleur de boxe anglaise
In Quebec city when curse a lot like saying a big fucking: TABARNAK!!!!!!!! during the session it’s because ypu went through Hell. Thank you for those video I can train my ass at home it’s awesome man.
I love kickboxing/boxing as a workout for the same reasons. It’s so empowering and great for getting any frustrations out. I did notice that 9round instructors didn’t seem to pay too much attention to form, and I think you should be careful of injuring yourself when repeating routines without proper form.
This and your 12 minute burnout are the only way I can finish a workout anymore. I used to barely get through your workouts, but after 6 months making my way through them and needing one of these. Keep up the great content!
9Round Fitness Lakeland Florida is amazing! The trainers are so motivating and encouraging…plus they’re fun too!
heres the thing you dont actually need wrist wraps, in tradational martial arts they didnt use hand wraps because they strengthen and trained the wrist to be withstand the punch, hand wraps arent for everyone and arent a must if you have strong wrist, the key is to strength the wrist stength the wrist and you will have an stoppable punch
Great content, Nate. I took your advice and used this as a burnout right after an earlier workout. It was a killer.
I cannot express how much I love you woman ❤️❤️you motivate me everyday you are just the best I feel like you’re one of my real life friends.
Can you please write me this workout so j can do it tomorrow? Thanks!!
My punches in 2 minutes for now are 650:) I think it’s pretty good
Just did your 20 minute heavy bag workout round 7 and then finished with this video. Totally out of air. Thank you for these follow along videos.
Could you please do a quick tutorial on the proper way to wrap the hands. Thanks.
Awesome exercise. Nice routine to do before going to work.thanks as always Nate. Next time try another mic
OMG… You are too good.. Did complete work out and felt the same way as I feel in my fight club while practicing. I am hoooked to ur channel…:)
Who are the 6 people that gave this a thumbs down? Morons!
Thanks, Nate. Great video once again.
Man, you got insane stamina! Especially arm stamina!
This is really intense!
AWESOME, THIS IS MY NEW MORNING WORKOUT!! GREAT JOB TEAM! IM IN THE US AND I WILL SPREAD THE WORD AND SHOW THEM MY RESULTS IN A FEW MONTHS:-)
This looks good for beginners, better than the 30 min workout. Gonna try this thanks ❤️
I don’t have a heavy bag but I make a huge ball made with pillows and duvets and it works, will this as useful too?
I use to train with the 20 minuts heavy bag workout you have in another video, i’ll try with this one.
God bless you brother, fantastic job, fantastic day, I’m the fan. ❤️
this workout makes NO sense-your writing does NOT match what you are doing
I hate heavy bags……means i dont have a sparring partner!
Thanks for the awesome workout drill, is there any chance you could post a version with the full breaks built in? It’s hard to stop and take off my gloves to pause the video.
This is one of our favorite workouts Nate, great work! Perfect for those busy days when you’re on the go and need to get after it fast with nothing left in the tank after.
my conditioning is improving tremendously with this alongside running and jumprope. thanks a lot, i really apreciate it!
Have never tried kickboxing. But I might try to wrangle a friend to go to a class with me! I want to work on my endurance in case I need to SSDGM!
thank u so much! its the first time i watch ur channel and i emmidiately loved it, i completed this workout and its awesome and very helpful
Just tried this workout yesterday, I normally do one on your various others, but this one kicked my ass and I love it! Keep up the awesome work, man! It’s been a huge help in my life and I’m looking to doing it again today!
I just started at 9 round so I’m trying to learn to properly use my wraps. However, so far I’ve been trained at my local 9 round and watched two 9 round wrapping videos here, and I’ve seen 3 different way to wrap the hands. Is there really a proper method, or should I just do whichever method seems best to me? I’m even more confused now.
Also Mr bower what state are you in and would you consider training a boxer you seem to know your stuff
what is the difference between this workout and your other 20 min workout what should a begineer do???
READ THIS! Do you Guys want a version that includes a full 30 Seconds of rest between rounds?
LMFAO you made us look 10x faster. Bro at first I actually thought sandy was going that fast in real life.
Also, when are you going to reveal who wins those wraps? Fingers crossed that I win it
Hey Nate, so much people say to me that i got a good “genetic”, i’m 1.83 m for 71 kg, i’ve got large shoulders and a tighty waist, with two big legs, not really big arms, but also not really small arms, large chest, with a normal density. I’ve played football, and everyone say to me that i’m really strong when i need to push and make a contrast, even people bigger than me, really bigger, say that i’m really strong and that they’re afraid to make tough contrasts with me. I lift pretty well, just a little bit problem to lift something that need more strenght in the triceps, but i can lift the other things, but i can’t do a single pull up, and i can do just a few push ups.. i’m really flexible, i can do a really good cartwheel and other things.
But, i’m really out of training, is since one year that i’m not training, and i’m in a really bad shape, i’m about 11-12% body fat..
My problems now, are that i need to work on my arms, chest and shoulders, to make them bigger and make more muscle then, and i need to lose weight on my lower body. I need to lose fat in my lover body, but in the same moment gain muscle in my upper body, do you got any advice?
Another question; i’m 17, is it too late to make boxing?
I just signed up for 9Round last week and I’ve done 5 workouts in the past 8 days and I can’t even walk up stairs now I can barely walk normally lol love it so so much though!
This video would be quite useful for a live workout with just few modifications. As it is it is, I am sorry to say, useless, at least for me. This post does not want some harsh review: I really appreciate this channel and I regularly use the 20 minutes workout for my training. It is rather a constructive critics since IMHO with few modifications this video would be just perfect.
So first and foremost the biggest problem is that the 30 sec pauses do not last on the video 30 seconds but just 5 seconds. I use the video as a trainer but also as a TIMER. Since I wear my gloves I cannot just stop the video, count 20 secs and start it again (5 secs for putting the glove on) so:
suggestion 1: make the 30 sec pause last 30 secs.
Then there are also a couple of less important suggestions:
suggestion 2: display a countdown timer during the video (2 mins for rounds, 30 sec for pauses)
suggestion 3: add as a superscript for each round the exercise we are supposed to work (when you are tired you may miss some words:-)
If these three suggestions were implemented the video would be just perfect for me.
It was my 2 cents’ worth
I took this session to the gym and completed it after my usual workout. Absolutely brilliant just had a bit of bother keeping the punch bag still when I did the squats but by the end of the session I did it. Thanks Nate I love these quick burst sessions.
Man you are really good at this…. Iam hooked up to ur channel from now mate!
l like your boxing style…amazing all the best wish u can train me!
