thanks for the video very helpful, im attending my personal trainer course end of next month for 3 weeks, please can you send me more videos or links that can help me prepare for my course and also help me in the field after i finished my course on programs etc. looking forward to and many thanks.
Thx good vid of what to consider in creating ur prog for client.
So you say part timers are about the money? Then bitch about offering advice to random people even though you’re not just doing it for the money. Interesting…still got a view from me. You should consider getting out
Most trainers don’t try because they can tell right away when the client doesn’t have the right kind of character to stay disciplined enough to stay consistent with this kind of craft. They know that regardless of what they do to motivate, they know they’ll give up real soon. Also, teaching too much might make the client arrogant and thus stop paying for training. Trainers only reserve real training towards clients that show true moxie from the start.
You named the video wrong, maybe you should watch a video on how to become a better YouTuber
Go work weekend nights in a kitchen at a busy restaurant buddy. You’re negative and small af for someone who’s been training for 15 years. I was bigger than you after 2 lmfao
Facts. I see somebody big as you first thing I ask them is if they are taking clients.
Hello, I have just come here after seeing a job advert here in the UK for becoming a personal trainer which is NOT something I would ordinarily apply for (being an undeveloped, long term unemployed, scarred, chronic pain plagued, brown, flat, non muscly, curly haired, spotty, 24 year ethnic minority, lost, daughter of disabled immigrants & stuck in a very stressdul, stifled, poor living environment ) but since I am extremely keen to get a job and keep searching for posts under ‘no experience needed’ and this popped up, I’ve actually applied and now pooing bricks of mad fear as they say because people like me don’t work in places like that. But isn’t it about time things change? I say yes but I need some honest feedback or opinions beforehand. Is this a wise decision? How can I be likable as someone who has been racially attacked, mocked, belittled, bullied, bruised, laughed at her whole life? How can I prepare myself in advance? How can I make them see potential in me even though I have no work experience nor qualifications to speak of? How can I become attractive? How can I look great? How can I make them get over the fact I’m not a white, privileged, popular, perfect, attractive male Ken doll with a good family life but instead an ethnic minority, ambitious, acne scarred, frizzy haired, glasses wearing, undeveloped, young lady with a brain but without boobs and a butt? How can I seem well rounded even though I have never travelled, I don’t drive, and I don’t have a social life? How can I be better than my gym instructor who is a skinny, white lanky man with hardly any visible muscles but is so lovely and I want to that super? How can I make them fall in love with me? Please help me? Thank you in advance
Great vid man. I’m working on my ACE cert right now. Like the smile tip, good advice.
Sir, i didn’t get that 4th point (stability core)
i am a certified personal trainer. From india
Good Morning. Left a . Just a couple of comments. Not a personal trainerjust retired and attempting to improve ‘quality of life’ and increase my chances of actually sitting in front of the TV and watch the first ‘humans’ land on Mars. There are only two-to-three people on YouTube that I follow on a regular basisand, you are one those three. Suggestionsnot to be misinterpreted as a derogatory critique. (1) a smart board would have increase ‘situation awareness’ and ‘time efficiency’ (preparation and use of current technology is key when presenting); (2) your thoughts on an ‘staggered implementation strategy’ allowing a more accurate assessment and a more accurate re-assessment; (3) your thoughts on ‘static vs dynamic’ at each stage of the implementation phase (those of us in our Golden Sneakers journey have ‘not limitations’ but ‘challenges’ that can be overcome through good information and as you mentioned “the right program.” Thank You for the wealth of information you provide in all of your videos. Happy Holidays and a Healthy and Prosperous 2018, and beyond.
Matty, this video was incredibly helpful. I trained my first client today and in all honestly, he is a guinea pig. I was super nervous to train him but after today’s workout, I felt like I actually helped him and like I can actually help give his results. It was a great boost of confidence and this video is definitely reinforcing that sentiment. Thanks!
Sir which certification is best ACE or NASM or ISSA or ACSM can you please differentiate all of them for me about their study content
I’m 18 and I’m doing my certification to be a personal trainer and designing programs is something that has been on my mind for the future like how will I know what to do and implement in the exercises. What tips do you have for someone who is barely starting and is fairly new to this?
Hi Brian I’m dejan I’m a personal trainer for 3 years now and was hoping if you would not mind me to email you and have a conversation about some career expectations etc
This guy is spot on, just started making $100k a year a few years ago and those who say the industry is dying is a fool. Give your all and sell what your worth. Great video
Studying beyond NASM is something I plan on doing this year.
Very good video.
I have been training for two years and want to become a trainer, to work with old people. I am in my 50s. This is something I would like to do after retirement.
So, I am not only working to get me certification in the future but also to look the part.
I do not worry too much about the wealth because with retirement income and benefitsthis is something I want tho do just for the love of helping others get to where I got and manage illnesses with healthy habits and nutrition. And also show that it is never too late to live a healthy life
O right. This is life in general though. I mean my buddies would probably list all of these points, even the ones with 9-5 when is work ever that convenient. Short career though i can understand what he means. Deff.
He’s complaining about someone being less experienced and knowledgeable so therefore charging a lower rate and people picking that person over him
Is it possible to be a online student for fitness professional trainer
Great video thanks for being honest for anyone who gets the nasm cert 1-10 rank with no degree how likely will I get hired
What the fuck? Do PT’s in the US not require any study at all?
You said you don’t like “those people” who don’t get certifications? Do you feel like reading a book qualifies you more then someone who has been in a gym working out for 10+ years? Just curious because I see a lot of people who get certified and start training people but have barely even worked out themselves

sorry dude but this video was more of you being butthurt over other useless PT, clickbait title so dislike, BUT you have a good point and i respect that, but you just wasted everybody time that wants too be a good PT and wanted to learn whrere to start
Hi! I just recently got my NASM cert and am wanting to get started. It is going to be really rough trying to do that and a full time job. However I didn’t want to leave my job until I had a few clients. Any advice on this? Should I tough it out and juggle both jobs for a while, considering I am not sure when I’ll actually be able to afford a living as a trainer, or should I go ahead and take a leap of faith? It’s hard making decision because I am not sure how long it typically takes to build up clientele. Any advice is much appreciated, thanks
Sometimes the greatest thing to come
out of all your hard work isn’t what you
get of it but what you become of it… ♥
100% Agree with all 5 especially #4..♀️
Get your own facility or small fitness boutique. When I was working at a box gym. The trainers were out of shape and they were young..smh
Mind you I was in my early 40’s but because of years of having the mindset to be healthy. No one can guess my age over late 20’searly 30’s.
I was thankful for consistently training no matter what took place during my schedule. Fitness is basically a learned habit that stays with you for the rest of your life. There’s more money now because of technology and the many niches within the fitness industry.
I love your videos so much but there is something i must point out, making $8,333 a month will make you a
6-figure earner not a 7-figure earner in a 12 month period. Keep up the amazing videos i am definitely a subscriber.
I’m going to train to be a personal trainer just so I don’t have to hire a personal trainer to train me
You obviously hate it. Is not your passion, not your calling. Change your job. Everything has their pros and cons.
Love the video! Love the point you make about keeping your body in shape. You lead by example. You can’t be trying to tell somebody about being healthy and working out when you’re not practicing what you’re preaching! Love the content. I’m studying for my Health Coach Certification right now and then I plan on doing Personal Training. Keep doing what you doing man!
#Nothing Sucks.Your life is the result of the choices you make.If you don’t like your life, it’s time to start making better choices. I repeat Nothing Sucks
Lol, I bet Eminem has level 3 certificate in Hip Hop, you don’t just wake up and become a rapper
Not solid, but acceptable points. Why or maybe how do you still do it?
Hey!My name is Pintu and I m from India.I have been into fitness since more than 9 years through sports and gyming.Currently I m pursuing interior designing as my father owns a furniture agency but I want to go in fitness industry.
I m not new to this industry but I m a little lost here so I m seeking your help.
I have researched about ISSA, ACE, NESTA, ACSM and PN and other international bodies who provide great courses regarding fitness or nutrition and other specializations.
I want your help in understanding what course should I start with first and then after that what should I do?
I want to you to tell me as most of courses I see has some similarities regarding the info they give such as in nutrition.
I want you to help me find the way to get into fitness and establish myself there.
Thank you
Yes sir I’m 100% with you on what you have mentioned!
Love it…respect, out of shape and personal hygiene my top three. Personal trainers get it together… if this shoe fit. When you meet with a client your breath stinks, you look like you just woke up and you are trying to get your work out in while your client needs your full attention. Some are phony and are not even certified which makes for major injuries. Just some things I see with trainers.
This is only my opinion, but I believe personal trainers are not necessary unless you’re competing in sports at a higher level such as trying to get a football scholarship or trying to become a professional bodybuilder. Tell me what a personal trainer can provide me that I can’t provide myself with on my own besides short term motivation. At my gym, we have 2 personal trainers that aren’t even certified. How did they become personal trainers? They been lifting weights for years while on steroids. Yes, they admitted to using steroids to our gym manager. Yet, people are lazy and dumb enough to pay them $350 dollars a month or $35 dollars a session. That doesn’t even include the nutrition plan for $100 dollars a week. They admitted that everything they learned, they learned from YouTube! I didn’t want to waste my money, so I spent time to do my research on nutrition and dieting. Yet, I’ve gotten more results than the guys who have been paying these personal trainers for 3+ years to train them. Unless you’re filthy rich or compete in sports at a high level, it’s a waste of fucking money to get a personal trainer. It blows my mind people pay personal trainers $100 dollars a week at my gym for these 2 trainers to tell them how to count their calories and macronutrients. For the last year and a half, I’ve only seen 2 people get results from these personal trainers at my gym. These 2 girls already came in looking like sticks and bones, and they never lifted weights before. I came in at 210 pounds, and I’m 170 pounds now. I walk around with abs while the guys that these personal trainers work with look like shit! Personal trainers are a waste of money for the average gym goer!
I guess this message is good fo people who aren’t really passionate about training. Yes don’t use this profession as just a job.
Had to subscribe once he said “respect”. Real recognition for real competition.
I have a question about this. I learned a similar break down or “template” in my certification course BUT the part that I am always confused about is where do you add time in for cardio? For example, if your client’s primary goal is weight loss. Like this model seems great for a lifting routine. What am I missing? (Thank you in advance).
Another very informative Video. I have been a personal trainer for 13 years and Bedros inspired me to set my own fitness business up 2 years ago. Bedros knows his stuff
This was helpful. It gave me an inside view of the downsides of the work.
I’ve been thinking about becoming a trainer. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but I just never knew how to get started.
I’ve been reading the blogs and articles at http://www.TheSixFigureTrainer.com and it’s been really helpful. I decided on which certification to get, and I’ve also learned how to find the best gym in my area to train at. I’m looking forward to building my business.
Bedros,
I have a question for you. If you have a client that signs up for an annual commitment and cancels early they then would be obligated to whatever ETF you have set but how do you ensure that they indeed pay that ETF. They could just never pay it, but what repercussion do you recommend if they in fact don’t pay the ETF?
Great content by the way
If you want to train clients in a gym you need a personal trainer certification at least here in Australia you can’t train people if you not a qualified PT
Im doing my practical assessment in 2 weeks time was just wondering if you have any tips on how to come across in the best way when being assessed. i find your videos really helpful cheers for the info.
Do you have any online resources that I could study, that would be very helpful thanks!
what type of packages do you recommend offering for online coaching and personal training?
Is this how to become a personal trainer? Or should you be a personal trainer?
You sir, have inspired me, a high schooler to become a personal trainer. Also you’re completely right about being passionate. You’re great thanks
Wouls.be cool if you did a top 5 reason why to become a personal trainer. I would imagine you have a lot of things to share that you love about the job! Well said below too that it is not always the money you get paid but how much you love doing what you do!
Very helpful video.
I would request of anyone can email me PDF metrial as notes of NASM for personal training I’ll be thankful.
Did you have a hard time getting people to take you seriously at such a young age? I became a yoga instructor at age 17 and have been doing it for 2 years, but the number one problem I encounter is people not wanting to take me seriously due to my young age. I have been considering becoming a personal trainer, but I don’t want to encounter that issue again.
He is the biggest troll ever! Hahaha can’t believe this guy made a video with a straight face. Kudos to you my brother keep on trollin while the money keeps on rollin
Thanks valid points and true, i am facing an issue with clients who keep opening subjects to talk and i find boundaries are blurred how do i bring more seriousness and still be friendly
He’s missing a MAJOR crucial point, the people you deal with. They are energy drainers, and you can’t show up to work in a funk. Clients will pick up on it right away and you’re going to have one of the longest hours of your life. You’re stuck, from start to finish, to give your clients 110% of your undivided attention for that entire session. And they EXPECT to feed off your energy and positivity because they aren’t always motivated or confident. If you’re an introvert this job will put you in a very dark place. If you’re going through a rut, dealing with serious issues, this job will just make it worse. And you become a therapist to these people whether or not you set those boundaries. My advice, choose your clients VERY carefully. If they are whiners, complainers, or test your patience, you’re in for a emotionally, socially, and mentally exhausting job that will make you want to sit home and hide from the world when you’re not working. DO NOT be a trainer if you’re an empath. It will deteriorate you.
This is very true especially at a big box gym, most people train early morning and at night after work. The lack of sleep is real, but luckily I’ve set some boundaries and they have to work around me now haha! And it’s working.
I’m trying to understand the purpose of your video! Your instructional videos are excellent. Your perceptions of the quality and value of a Personal Trainer’s career has tunnel vision. You appear to be projecting your disappointments in your career path towards those that have found your past videos very helpful and remain excited to be a part of the wellness scene… I would recommend staying in your lane and present what you do best…wellness training!
I totally disagree with his statement, you need will power, drive and be resilience. Get in a group chat and hold yourself accountable. Personal Trainers are Motivators, you don’t need a certification to motivate someone. Retired military 22 years
Just a quick heads-up…… The gym I work for is a non-profit YMVA, and our email addresses end in.org….. Your web form calls my email address invalid. I had to use my personal email to get your PDF.
What career paths would you recommend for someone who has a passion for fitness and health? Im young and still haven’t decided on a career path to pursue yet any advice would be helpful! Thanks
Truth hurts, but much like working out and the “no pain no gain of it”, truth, including its pain, is good. Good to know, and good to plan for. Thanks.
I just wanna go to peoples houses and train them, I don’t think going to school is needed. Just motivation.
Love your passion. Good to see some body care about the job and the clients instead of just the pay. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the great content, I paused the video and went to the Precision Nutrition site and registered for the next opening of certification. I am currently listening to your book “Man Up” and have been wondering what online certification you would recommend? I got certified as a PT a few years ago through a local community college with the intention of changing careers. Then right after I got a promotion at the corporate job I had and continued on that path instead of the new one as a PT. Now I am a stay at home parent and wanting to get certified again but online rather than through a college…
I can see that the points you made are actually true and all making sense but let’s not forget that every work industry has cons and pros but once there’s passion you notice that nothing stops you and you just focus on the pros,,, and by the way comparing to other work industries this is nothing tho
can you make a video explaining sets and reps in relation to an individual looking to make muscle strength and or endurance gains? Thanks
I’m sorry but looking like you have never seen the inside of a gym, I would NEVER want to be a personal trainer either.
That social life issue happens with other jobs as well. I’m a pharmacist and health coach so I’ve had to avoid the ppl at parties/ dinner that always seem to want me to answer their health or medication related questions. I’ve also learned to just tell them to ask their doctor since he/she has a better understanding of their health issues.
You start so negatively. Assuming people are gonna blow it off the bat.
Thanks! This video is really informative!:) I’m thinking of going into Personal Training and these videos are really helpful! For anyone looking for more information on this, i’d recommend a video called “Personal Training Career Options (Pros and Cons)” by OriGym. It’s really in-depth and covers pretty much all your options:)
Man, you are incrediblely helpful thank you so much. I’m currently investing in my body for my fitness profession!
Hi there, when designing for reps and sets, for example doing 12 reps of 3 sets. Should that be based on the 12 rep max and so on. Thanks
these are things to consider with any career path, but if it’s something you’re passionate about you also find a way through those things #pushthrough
I worked at a box gym for years sometimes working 12 hr shifts for weeks in a row and still always made time to get my lift in. Wether in the morning or after my shift I made it part of my schedule. Some good points here but mostly excuses. You may just need a new career brother
first of all amp the fuck down bro! guys all people actually work for money so keep money in mind and put in mind u can get paid $50k plus and thats a driving motive itself. with that being said to be good personal trainer u need to have a muscular body that u have worked for really hard that makes u feel proud when u look at yourself in the mirror cuz what worked for u can work for every one its not rocket science. u dont need to read all these go damn books like wtf! the only person ive seen read such thick books and he had only two is my cousin but hes a doctor
I am not even looking to become a personal training I stumbled across this video by accident BUT I watched it anyway. Dude, you are THE MAN for being up front for anyone who is considering this as an occupation or side business.
NOTE: I am a “corporate” employment trainer AND ALSO a motivational speaker which is how I found your video. I commend you for informing your audience.
FEEDBACK…
Your video was short, precise, direct to the point and well done. Cheers.
Much respect to what you do but people need to know certifications mean nothing in any field anybody can pass a test but if you’re not motivated dedicated and what you do then what you say you are is not true certifications and schools are just an obstacle to make you think something is hard like he said treat everything you do as your business work hard and you will succeed
I start my PT course soon I can’t wait and I live in the UK to can’t wait keep up the hard work hun
This video is absolutely amazing!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH‼️‼️‼️♀️‼️☺️
Everything what he says is true, you can be successful in this career only if you look like Jeremy Buendia or Ulisses training clients online and selling yourself as a dream, because those bodies are achieved with PED and lots of money invested in themselves, doctors, clinics. I’ve trained myself (not a PT) in gyms across Europe due to my job and i can say that 90% of the average Joe PT they look like crap out of shape and if you ask why is because of the same reasons mentioned above. I personally believe this career is not that sexy how it looks unless you have the resources to be the next Simeon Panda.
Thanks for being honest! I’m a newer trainer and I can understand every point you made. Plus I have a few trainer friends and most of them have second jobs and a couple quit to do more lucrative things.
I totally agree to many self proclaimed personal trainers with out the certification to back it. Like yea you might know workouts and exercises but that don’t make you a trainer
This a great heads up for new PT’s! For anyone new to personal training i’d recommend looking at a video called “Personal Training Career Options (Pros and Cons) by OriGym. They talk through pretty much ALL your options as a Personal Trainer. They also have a great video on PT Advertising, that i found really helpful for getting new clients. Good luck everyone!:D
Like #700! Thanks for the great info. It helps this new CPT.
Your belief in learning beyond the minimum standards is spot on.
Anytime I preach know why you do something, I often get basic level EMS personnel saying “That information is beyond out level.”
My answer is always if you have knowledge of how the body works and why you are giving CPR, managing an injury, giving medications knowing how they work.
When I show up, or deliver the patient to the hospital, the patient is viable and not dead.
Hi There, Im wondering if you could get in touch with me by email [email protected] gmail.com many thanks!
Everyone has an opinion. I think that to each his own. These 5 tips can be applied to several areas of careers.
I’m sure you’ve heard this, but you look and sound like Rachel McAdams! Oh and this video was sooo helpful thank you so much! ❤️
Never met people that make you feel like you have to convince them to take care of their own health and fitness? Like it is not enough to explain them why is good to do x, y, z… they are not intrinsically motivated at all to commit to their commitment. How you manage to text to all your clients all the time?!?? O_O

Very helpful! I’m in such a pickle with a full time job and wanting to pursue something like this. Health, fitness, and helping others is something I’m really passionate about! Thank you for the advice!
Wonderful and insightful video! What software do you use for your online clients? Thank you!
You have such an amazing energy like wth, i feel like you could sell me anything
I’ve grown up as a dancer and a runner in cross country. I’ve always done sports and been active. After not doing any of that for more then a year I became pretty unhappy. I’ve also always been passionate about healthy eating too and helping others feel good about themselves. So now I’m going to major in dance in college and until school starts back up again I’m enrolled into a 3 month fitness + nutrition + wellness + business certification program with FitChicks. While training for dance in school I want to teach and personal train at a gym. I’m so excited to get started:)
The most important thing is to be passionate for your job!! Personal trainer can be an amazing job When you love what you do!!! makes all worhwhile! Be positive!
Hi! Great Video! What’s your opinion about personal trainers who are 45 and older? If someone is over 45 can he or she become a personal trainer?:) Some people are saying “age is just a number”:) By the way you are a nice looking lady:) Thanks for the video!
He’s not negative he’s just sharing his experience. Thanks I appreciate it.
Watching this now and I have a job interview as a Personal Trainer to go for the next day. Well, all the best to me.
Hi there I’ve always struggled with this question. What is a reasonable amount to charge per hour? I’m certified through ACSM and I earned my bachelors in Integrative Health Science with intent to go into physical therapy. It’s always been tough for me to gauge the exchange between my time per hour and pay. I want to make a difference in my community and inspire health into people but I also want to be paid what I am worth. How do you find that balance?
Same kind of thing in UK…except with YMCA you also do 15-20 mins cardio BEFORE main strength..I’ve always found, (despite not recommended for hypertrophy) this works better because it primes the central nervous system for complex movements
if you could dress a bit more respectfully ppl will take you more seriously, just a suggestion
tbh u r a huge inspiration!!! tnx for ur video <3 ur story kinda reminded me of myself, I'm 20 and at the beginning of personal training path. just have a question, are nasm courses and certification for the international student, too?
Yo that part about the president is some sound fucking advice
i live in a small town and if you’re making 30k a year, thats almost upper middle class ahaha.
I can tell you know what you are talking about and wanting to show people how to actually be a trainer instead of a walking salesman. Appreciate the advice
“You are the President of your own life” My thoughts exactly man. No on can make us do what we don’t want to do unless we let them.
Valuable content.I’m on my way to get my lvl 2 diploma. Keep up the good content!
i want to learn a bit more about training and have all the knowledge of a personal trainer but i dont know where i should start my reaserch
Bro this video sucks you’re just bitching about trainers not how to do it
Making that a full time job is the worst choice in life. Get a normal paying job that doesn’t rely or beg ppl to train. Training is just the last thing on ppls minds.
Hold on bad example with wanting to be a rapper because you don’t need a certification or a record label to be a musician js
This video is not a good example of the other great content on this channel. Not at all. A bit damaging to the viewers over all opinion.
Hey man, your awesome and I love your videos. I live in the uk so will these tips carry over? Also I was wondering, are there any qualifications/certifications that you would recommend?
I am enrolled with ISSA to get my personal trainer certificate so this video was great with learning new tips
Hi there, this video was really useful, thank you very much for your excellent job. I’m studying to become a personal trainer and was researching for inspiration to write an article entitled ‘Understand how to prepare personal training programmes” and this video gave me all the cues I needed to right a good essay (I believe).
Well, that was your experience so every problem comes with solution, now make a video which will help to overcome with these problems. And why there should be discrimination about every thing that people do or do not?
Great tips! I’m in Tampa Florida about to start studying now to become a personal trainer!
Do you have a video or template for putting together a strong client assessment?
I live in Orlando and I’m thinking about becoming a personal trainer, lucky me
Certified personal trainer is useless unless that trainer is shredded
If you are a new trainer, I would recommend http://www.TheSixFigureTrainer.com with Stu. I found the site extremely helpful.
I actually took the e-class Stu does and it really helped me get started. One cool thing I learned was how to use 2 different maps to find high-end gyms in my area to work at and how to get an interview and get hired. Stu was really helpful and super nice. If you have a question, just email him and he’ll get back to you pretty fast.
I love to learn this is great not only for my benefit but I need this motivation.
10mins ago I wanted to be a personal trainer, but now I 100% don’t
If you had been told all this, you may not have been wher you are or who you are today. Those are alot of cons but you have to be more productive. More business minded, like building a supplement line, an appearal line, online training programs, own a gym. You have to stay thinking bigger and not just get comfortable in life because your a trainer. There will always be competition in every industry, you have to be elite
Hands down Bedros is the best fitness marketer on the planet, love his vibe. I hope to meet and thank you personally one day bedros, once I’ve got my self out of financial gutter:-)
One of my goals is to be a personal trainer because i love training and i want to help people reach there goals as i am reaching mine i train bjj kickboxing and boxing and ino loads of workouts but i need to no alot more knowledge how do i find all the knowledge i need to learn
This is awesome! I’m actually from Orlando Florida, so I’d love to meet with you once I come back, because I need more people like you in my corner! Thanks for your advice!! It’s awesome!!
I would consider myself a veteran trainer. I make more than $50,000 a year, but my problem was that I was working about 70 hours a week. I found http://www.TheSixFigureTrainer.com and I liked the guy who does it (his name is Stu) because he said he makes $80,000 and works 3-4 days a week.
I read a lot of his free articles and he was nice enough to talk with me on the phone about how he would recommend I scale down my schedule without losing any income. I ended up taking his e-class and it’s been a good decision (well worth the money). I scaled my schedule down to 4 days a week and I’m still making the same amount. I think Stu’s site would be a good resource for trainers. It helped me.
I think personal trainers should volunteer for free. It’s there passion to help others. Let them help.
Thank U for this amazing Video! Very helpful!
Now I feel ready for my upcoming personal Trainer Exam Next monday.
Thanks!
Hey coach brian I’m in the process of getting my certification, if you could please email in regards to some questions and concerns I have that would be great. My email is [email protected] gmail.com thanks again
Why is NASM prestigious? Someone said it and someone believed it, and the comment I don’t like those people? Really because of a certificate? Sorry little girl there are excellent trainers with lots of experience and get results without any cert just because they believe all the certs are a waste of money!!
Do you have to go to college to become a personal trainer pls reply i would really love it
I just got certified and ace thought ro strengthening the body before straightening it
I like the video because If these are the only negatives then I’m perfectly okay with them so thank you!
I enjoyed your video…can you provide further explanation of the “daily assessment”? Who provides the observation or detail of program success? I’m assuming that you are not seeing each client daily…thx!
This video is all about the attitude of personal trainer, but you didn’t talk about which certifications to get, wages, hours, gym vs private trainer, or anything about the process of becoming a personal. trainer
Very nice and on point clip bro, it resonated with my passion for being a personal trainer
You don’t need a certificate to be a personal trainer, that’s retarded. Some body is mad he had to study and all that to get a certificate to make him self feel certified lol. If a person has the knowledge to help others get in shape, that’s all that’s needed. And you don’t have to get a certificate to have that knowledge.
Very interesting video! Thank you. For how long do you create a training program when you start with a client?
How to Become a 7 Figure Earning Personal = sell illegal substances
Your honest opinion. I bought NASM a while ago but been procrastinating a lot in studying. I’ve been lifting for over 8 years. I’m kinda giving up on the course and might just jump into becoming a trainer off the back. What would you say in this case? Plus not planning to work for a Gym.
This is so true. thankyou for sharing.i only did a class then followed by my own class but the timming clashed so bad I had to stay outodoor 15 hours. A day for 4 days a week with 7 hours at school just so I can make.to class. That sucked can’t believe I did that.
I know you are trying to put across a realistic approach to being a PT but you may aswell get a new career with this mindset or just take 2 weeks off bro
I just saw this, and when you said that you don’t watch tv or play video games, that you spend your time learning and becoming the best version of you self! That’s me a 101% i always ALWAYS say those same words! Glad to finally find someone like me
Reading those books will take years plus i do not want to know all this detalis to train someone who do not care about anything but his results he or she doesn’t care if i know anatomy and physiology details
Well Im not outgoing at all but I work in retail which forces me to talk to people and I really wanna do this job so lol idk
Really appreciate the insight. Thank you & good look in your work
And with this video I have just wrapped up my Personal Fitness Merit Badge for Boy Scouts now its just one last Merit Badge to go before I can get Eagle Scout, Thank you Mr. Rich
Hi,
I have a lot of female clients that needs help in fat loss, mainly the one located in the mid section.
Please advice on the best program possible.
Step 1: Be Attractive
Step 2: Be Attractive
Step 3: Be Attractive
Reasons 1,2,4,5 & not feeling in charge of my life anymore made me throw in the towel after 1.5 years in the industry. Used to train / advise friends for free, prior. Am a lifetime advocate of healthy living. Unfortunately, everything this man says is 100 percent accurate, and that’s not even getting into the stress of maintaining/ improving on one’s personal physique and knowledge base. You may enjoy being in this field, but the system is clearly stacked against most working individuals. Hope it changes, someday.
Hi! Do you make the program monthly? And for a 3 times per week program, do you change the exercise for every day? Or you repeat every week? Every monday the same, every wed the same, etc:)
Could you make a video on how to make a program template or programs to use to make the workout plan.
Thanku so much for your valuable knowledge. But i have a question. What is the level 1 certified personal trainer.
With stability work you said it is usually associated with core work, what other movements/exercise could be performed in this part of the workout
in a country like usa, there will never be a real competition in personal training
Nice video bro!! I’m very agree, personal training is about discipline, knowledge, passion, specific training for clients not just about certification or self training experience
What is the best way to began after getting certified as a personal trainer? Also is it necessary to continue getting more certification by other companies/ brands? (personally i see it as developing more knowledge but just want to know your opinion). Thank you very much
Most of the gyms accept NASM or ACE. In what circumstances we should get a NSCA or a NCSF certificate? What are your thoughts about them? Thanks for the video.
Very good video. You could make video with your advice and opinion for programming according to FMS results (certain one, or certain example of results, for instance).
That would be great content and,I believe, good debate…:)
I passed the ISSA CPT, DNA-based coaching, Nutrition Coach, Group Fitness, and Bodybuilding certifications. If you’re worried about how to finish it or can’t find the time, reply to this and I’ll help you get through!:)
Bro 30.000-50.000 in a year is awesome. İn here, azerbaijan, average mans salary is 300 manat a month ( 1.7 dollar =1 manat) our echonomy is poor. Average yearly income is 3.600. İ am 14 yo i definately want to come to America. Can someone help me if i cant get an university diploma or good education. How can i work there? And how much is pt license?
The video starts on a negative note when 1,2 points are explained, but the 5 Reasons of why the Personal Trainer profession can be difficult are ACCURATE. It has rewarding benefits when working with people of all ages and different backgrounds. It’s a constant learning curve, whether is fitness or human interaction related. Unfortunately this profession it’s easily misunderstood by being glamorised (sexualised) and many times is undervalued by amateurs. Yet, this profession can save SOMEONE a trip to the hospital, it can help avoid an early death, it can help to become the best version of self. Etc…you name it!
Yeah, I think the getting certified part is really important.
I would love the services of a personal trainer but I wouldnt really want to do it as a career. Still, I’m sure it is one of those jobs that is relatively safe from automation.
Great video! All this is so true. I hate personal training. Constantly looking for a new career.
online coaching? Or how to go about being a new personal trainer at gym?
Seen this video researching on YouTube, very glad, I had a horrible taste in my mouth from Network Marketing insurance, was not for me no matter how hard I tried, and things became sour.
Is there a reason why the program design doesn’t cover any type of cardio workout if the client’s goal is for weight loss? or does it vary within each workout session?
Goodday coach..your advice on training athletes..what types of training should i give them other than plyo?
Dude you are fkn awesome, words out of my mouth you are the shit good job!!
First I just want to say that I absolutely love the video and saved it and will be listening to more of them! I do have a question though. What would you recommend on doing for people that are quite literally just starting their career as a personal trainer? Thank you in advance!
Just found this…sounds just like working as a server but without severe tennis elbow. Any service industry job you work when the 9-5ers are off. I have same negatives but with more injuries and less income. Your selling me on the idea of becoming a trainer.
What software do you know of where I can create fitness programs and then send it to clients online? I want to make a template with boxes where I would fill in exercises, sets, reps, etc! Just don’t know where to create that!
Just wanna say your story is inspiring!! Girl you’re doing great keep going!!
hey I’m getting certified in couple of months.. so i need no talk about some career stuff… can i talk to you i private? Really need your help!! please response my insta id: arbaazpathan profile picture is back pose in red vests.
I am grateful that I am majoring in kinesiology at a community college. Maybe I still will consider a career in personal training in the future. The major is broad based. I’ve researched some certifications for that.
Hey do you have link to where i can buy the textbooks you mention?
Hello!
I am a personal trainer for the past 15yrs and my specialty is really understanding what clients need out of their workouts each time we get together. I’ve never made a specific program for anyone because my instincts have been very good. I have always done an assessment first and as you said in your video, things are constantly changing. What I would like to know is what do you use to keep the assessments and workouts? Do you have an app or templet you prefer? Im just starting an online business and have to keep a more detailed program for my old and new clients. Appreciate any advice you might have! Really enjoy your videos, super informative! Thanks!: )
I’m probably gonna still be certified with NSCA or NASM, but this was a great video… We always see the motivating videos explaining how to get it and the best way to get it, but we rarely ever see the videos that explains in detail the CONS of the career. So, in my opinion, hands down, this was VERY informative And you never said DON’T DO IT you only said it SUCKS, because it does lol!
Depends what you mean by “presentable” on a PT’s body. Do they need to look like a bodybuilder? No. Should they at least look average? For sure. We shouldn’t judge knowledge by looks. Does Bill Belichick look like a football player? Nope, but he has broken lead records for wins and has brought the patriots to multiple super bowl wins.
There is NOTHING worse or more annoying than a person that has been working out for a year or 2 and feels they have enough knowledge to properly train other people. YOU KNOW NOTHING. Also online certs are about as useless as reading a book to learn how to build a house. Not sure whats more last resort being a personal trainer or being a real estate agent lmao.
About to start round two of helping people change their lives. Now with a certification.
I have been avoiding it for far too long. Time to step up to the plate.
Do you think it’s possible to get certified while studying at Uni for another course and while working out and still have a social life? How long does it take to get certified?
What would be a basic movement assessment for two women over 50, an 18 yr old kid, and a obese couple. Could it be the same? Sorry, I hope it wasn’t a mouthful.
Functional Training book with the yellow-blue or red letters, or is it exactly the same?
I made a comment about how good your video was but after watching the whole thing through I realize that you were bit hypocrite you firing off a sermon about how people should be honest and forthright and not just do it for the money when it comes to personal training and then you go off and basically put clickbait here on your description kind of killing your own point by not actually doing what you said you would in your title which is how to get certified in personal training nothing that you said gets you certified in personal training! I think it’s very hypocritical. I did like the message but just thinking went out the window by you being misleading
What exercises would you recommend to include in the assessment portion?
It appears that people had their feathers ruffled because you didn’t give them all the answers to passing the CPT test and promise they would make a six figure income while training people that are already in shape. Stop talking about reality and how to differentiate yourself from the crowd, or for that matter be more knowledgeable than everyone else, that requires work. (Can you sense the sarcasm?) If this video didn’t tell you how to become a CPT, you seriously need to reconsider even becoming one. Thanks for posting an honest and passionate video on what it means to be entrusted with someone’s well-being, not just on how to get a title and piece of paper.
So many positive words! Im down with this dude and what he is saying. You can take these ideas and go whatever direction you’d like! There are a ton of losers and haters commenting in here just gtfo please, do everyone a favor.:)
Hey coach,
I’m currently in my last semester of school at University of North Carolina at Pembroke, I will be getting my bachelor’s in exercise science with a concentration in exercise physiology in may. I also played football for three years while attending the University. This video was very helpful. This is one of the biggest things I struggle with. I have a hard time knowing exactly what’s the best program for somebody or knowing exactly what exercises to use and how much of it they should do. If you could please give me some more information it would be very helpful!
So incredibly wonderful, thank you so much. Yes we are working as a team, competition is an allusion, and we also have the medical industry that’s profiting off of people sickness. It astounds me that doctors only get about an hour of nutrition and the seven years that they study. The healthcare system, or the sick care system, is due for an update. And it’s only gonna come from the grass roots.
Thanks for this video and information
I think I finally know what I would like to dedicate my life to

To design a workout plan, how do you figure how many exercises to do in a warm up. I know its 5-10 minutes, but how do you figure the content of that time span?
Good videos! Im in 8th grade but I am very interested in being a personal trainer in my future. Like to see these types of videos so i can try these tips myself.
Hey! This video is super helpful, I was wondering if you have any videos that elaborate on the ‘assessment’ part of programme design? As in what to assess in more detail/how to use the results of the assessment going forwards? I had a look through your vids but couldn’t find anything! x
If you are a budding trainer looking forward to getting in the industry and getting excellent jobs. first you have to get certified, I highly recommend BFY Sports and Fitness. My Brother is certified from BFY and is extremely happy with their services! They provide courses like ACE, NSCA, AFFA, BFY courses and many such other courses. They offer over 200 courses by 150 faculties. For more details check out the BFY website. click on the link

They are REALLY amazing and the placements as well!!!
CHECK IT OUT!!!
And your clients look out of shape, so maybe you aren’t that good of a personal trainer.
Not one of the five points made here are true for me and I’ve been doing personal training as a profession for 15 years. 1) I make my own schedule and find clients who will work with it. 2) No one should be doing it if they can’t have a client realize value for money spent and I wouldn’t be doing anything just for money. 3) My social life has never been negatively impacted due to being a trainer in any way. 4) I’m as fit and healthy as I’ve ever been at age 47 BECAUSE I’m a trainer. What better accountability is there than to be a role model for people who hire me to help them to be more fit and healthy? 5) I just read an article about a guy who retired from engineering and launched into a career training at the age of 67 and doing great with it. There are plenty of people who value experience and knowledge. As I mentioned earlier, I’m 47 and, going strong and not planning on stopping.
lmao this motivated me to become a trainer even more. I love people who complain ☺️
Who is this guy!!!
Authentic. Great value.
Your belief system determines your life.
❤️
Thanks, Kendall! For saying age doesn’t matter! On the flip side, I’m in my early 40’s and thinking of getting my NASM certification because I love training myself at the gym so much! Figure I can learn a thing or two, and then maybe help other women!
Look the part and be able to sell ice to an eskimo. Yeah theres a lot more to it hence 500+ page textbooks for the certs but if you dont have a grasp on those first two concepts it wont happen.
Hiii please I’m a new personal trainer and I got a client who want to loose weight plss help me design a program for her
I’m a black American male 41 years-old with back problems I’m willing to get all medical tests done I need I believe I weigh 340 I don’t want to weigh myself. I live in California in Desert Hot Springs looking for someone who’s just getting started in her career I’m motivated and at the moment I have the time willing to travel a little bit what can you do to help me
I am so impressed from your video, but I want to learn more from you, like one to one personal training with clinets. If you can help that would be great.
This video should have been titled, “My Opinion: Who Should Be a Trainer and Who Shouldn’t”..OHHHHHH but the keywords “HOW TO” will get you clickssssssaaahhhh!
Is it up to you, Mr. Matty, to decide which personalities should or shouldn’t become personal trainers? What if someone is motivated by money? There is nothing wrong with that as a lead into fitness. At the end of the day you have to be comfortable.
Thank you so much for this video. Best cpt video I have seen so far and doing more research on bettering myself as a future cpt is something I thought about doing.
Love it how you said it! I’ve nearly finished college and that’s how I see it
im a 16 year old student in high school that is willing to be a personal trainer and you inspire me a lot i just have one question what education do you need in order to be a personal trainer btw love your vids man
thanks very much for sharing this so wonderful encourage video, wonderful learn it,use it. be hungry with knowledge

What are your thoughts on the trademarks and terms of agreements. Do you feel as tho the fact you aren’t aloud to record and distribute the information you learn from nasm can possibly hinder the process of becoming a top personal trainer by not bein aloud to sell programs online and give advice through videos. Because from my understanding that would put you in the waters of potentially being sued by nasm.
Thanks for the video.
Was is scary training your first client?
Did you have a fear that you might do something wrong?
In the beginning was it difficult putting a program together for a client?
Currently studying for my cpt and those are my biggest fears.
Do you have any recommendations for the best way to track clients progress apart from using expensive apps?
Hay person that whent to college and a person that did’t get payed the same?
How will the program design change for baseball & basketball players. also what are some of the assessment you put people through? [email protected] icloud.com
Whatever goal, or dreams you made for yourself, I know you’ve accomplished them like holy f*ck you own yourself I’m looking up to that as I start my own personal fitness journey
Just ordered my NASM yesterday! Great video, keep up the good work.
1. well at least you got to rest some time of the day. your clients still have to work after workout
2. its not a bad-paying job at the rate mentioned
3.every other professions got instant consultation anywhere, anytime (doctor, nurses, engineer, barbers, etc)
4. other jobs require more time than these even teachers, doctors, engineers, etc. work ur schedule. its in the mind
5. it depends on how much you love your job.firemen prevents fire and when theres no fire-no work
some jobs are even crazier and more demanding than these but they learned to love what they do.
What if you have no money and are just starting out, and don’t have thousands upon thousands of dollars to throw around?? Can someone point me in the direction of that video
Build your own body first. Through a couple years of lifting, cutting, bulking and researching you’ll gain incredible knowledge on the human body and psychology of working out.
Every person isn’t the same, but a good understanding of the fundamentals is.
Also if you look good you’ll get more clients
Great video! I became a certified personal trainer with PT elite in the UK ( https://pteliteuk.com/) and it was the best decision I ever made. I am now my own boss and I love helping my clients meet their targets. Its such a rewarding job:)
Nice video bro!! This is very useful specifically for them who like to start this type of job without enough knowledge
how would this differ to the current climate? Not everyone has a gym at home, so any advice for fat loss at home for clients?
What about leading a group fitness class? Is that a better option?
Dude I feel bad for your clients. Having a trainer who hates his job. May wanna look into a different line of work
I’m a new personal trainer and with a new client that I am training for any strength work I start with core work, to really emphasize bracing in preparation for any load. I noticed your core work is at the end. I need to rethink my layout for doing multi joint/complex exercises before the single joint, unilateral exercises.
i see this shit, this is how shit works, shit, shit, shit shit shit. lol jk good video dude. love the books
Love the video but you take forever to get in to how to make more money you just start waffling about your personal accomplishments
Thank you for telling me this i was really considering this as a career choice
I was wandering if you could sent me the references of those books
Because I’m really interesting to download them thank you
Well I’m breaking the standard of “looking presentable” I’m in school for personal training and I’m a BBW. I’ve lost over 100lbs naturally and still going but I have loose skin and I’m still 298lbs but what better trainer then one that’s “been there” and know the real life struggles of starting maintaining and the pain that comes with it mentally and physically. I’m breaking all rules with being a small”fit” trainer. Healthy and trainer isn’t a specific size.
Everywhere I have ever worked I heard complaints. I’ve heard of a trainer that become a teacher, a teacher that become a trainer as well as a nurse that become a trainer. Nothing will ever be perfect in this life and anyone who waits to find a good paying job with no problems will be broke. People should go after whatever they are passionate about as long as it isn’t immoral or something along the lines as underwater basket weavers since there isn’t a high demand for them. Then learn their career of choice, go after it, then accept whatever issues come with the territory and work with them.
Its so easy to get certified as a personal trainer online literally
True ✅ Body should be presentable. If not, clients wouldn’t believe in trainers. Great info! Thanks for sharing
you are absolutely beautiful. i would love to find a redhead version of you.
Hey Coach Brian. My name is PJ have just launched my Youtube channel last month.
You are right personal training as a conventional career choice does suck but the five reasons you’ve outlined seem way behind the curve.
I am the author of “The Non Exerciser’s Guide to Awakening the Fitness Within; Where Barriers Meet Breakthroughs” and I’ve been a FitPro at Work for over 30 years well before any certification tainted and chained the fitness industry to its current master servitude relationship to error messages and a boat load of conflicts of interest.
Yes! if you build a fitness career around the 5 goofs, glitches and commission sales approaches to making a living at being a fit pro this field will suck to high heaven.
I have not experienced any of what you’ve related and I’ve had all manner of client interaction from Red carpet to the incarcerated to one degree of separation from the white house.
I’m responding to your video because I wanted to thank you for providing beautiful source material for which to shoot

Very informative video! I have a question, for a % based program, how do you figure out how much weight for a certain number of reps? Let’s say if it’s 3 sets of 8 reps, how much should the weight be? Since 8 RM is 80% of 1RM, how much lower should the weight be? Is 10-15% lower a good range? Thank you!
Could you look over my Instagram profile and tell me what I’m doing wrong? I’m a certified personal trainer I work at a gym in Arizona, I just haven’t been getting the clients that I want. If you could help that would be great thanks
Thanks for making this video big dawg I admire your personal it’s honestly a motivation bro
Thank you! thinking of doing personal training. Thanks for this
Hey everyone, I’m currently trying to find out how one could make the lives of fitness trainers as yours a lot
easier 😉
Which is why I have two very simple questions:
1. As a personal trainer do you sometimes struggele with getting high paying clients Online? If so, what are the 2 biggest issues you’re dealing with?
2. Regarding getting online clients, what would you wish for more than anything else? Thanks so much in advance looking forward to reading your answers!
What about if you want to START a fitness business (or online fitness business)?
Its not really as a personal trainer then is it, its as a gym owner, real estate. Might as well talk about completly different non related things like investing.
Nobody wants to train when they are 50 or 60? Most clients who need you are that age. You create what you believe. I started at 48, became a successful bikini and figure competitor and inspire the clients who are my age (59) and younger because I walk the walk. I am healthier because I make it a priority and model that behavior. This career gives me the freedom to start my own business, make my own schedule so I can pursue competition. If you don’t have passion for fitness and money is your single determining factor, then do something else. Passion is everything. You can be youthful, active and attractive as an older person if you pursue healthy habits and mindset.
Can you please email me at [email protected] gmail.com im really interested in becoming a personal trainer
Does social media fame help you becoming a personal trainer?
If you want to learn how to build your business… hands down, I recommend Stu at http://www.TheSixFigureTrainer.com. I took his e-class and he is the real deal. It’s some of the best information I’ve gotten on marketing, lead generating, how to approach new clients and how to keep clients so you don’t have a lot of turnover. He talks about getting started as a trainer at ground zero too and it would have been really helpful if I was just starting out.
Stu also has a lot of free articles that are extremely (like extremely extremely) helpful… but I would do his e-class if he still offers it.
I recently became a trainer. I was hesitant to leave my job because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to make enough money. I had a friend who was a trainer and helped me get started. He’s been a trainer for a long time and I know he makes good money… probably around $100K.
He helped guide me, and I’m so glad because I’ve been doing pretty good as a trainer and making enough money to replace my job!
He has a website for trainers. It’s http://www.TheSixFigureTrainer.com
I think you should have started with the certificate topic. I still watched it because everything was important, but I just think the certificate should have been brought up first.
Really interested in becoming a personal trainer here in Henderson tx.
I can agree with some of the points but not all of them. I have another approach to it. But hey everyone is different.
what certification schools that are credible that you suggest?
Maybe tell them that if you’re really ignorant, a poor business person and not a grown up with goals and self control, yeah it’s gonna suck. Your personal experience was just that. Not the norm. You live where dreams go to die. A lot of people want to train for the wrong reasons like any other vocation. Perhaps talk like you’re not jaded and just talk to the folks that want to make a difference. You know, grown ups with dignity and self respect. I hear where you’re coming from really. You need a vacation and to get re grounded on why you chose this work to begin with. If you’re working for the money your losing from the get go. Love what you do and you’ll be wealthy beyond measure.
HELP! I’m 45. Yes, I am burnt out. 19 years as a Group Itness instructor and Personal Trainer. I’ve been on an aggressive hunt ti do something else. Good video. Thanks
This business is superficial as hell. I’ve had interviews with gyms that owners say it goes great over phone and they have told me if I am fit and bring in the certification I can sign up. Also alot of corporate gyms won’t accept certain certifications or if they do no matter your experience you start as a level 1 trainer. I got a ISSA cert and since its not “ncca accredited” no matter my 2 years experience i can’t be a level 2 trainer. This business is tough guys
For the NASM certification, did you go with self-study, premium self-study, guided-study, or all inclusive? Depending on which one you chose, why did you and how was it beneficial?
Sales skills and being in shape / attractive help as well as asking for the sale
I love your video man. You really gave out some extremely important keys in becoming an ideal personal trainer. I wasn’t sure if I was going to need to have a certificate to become a personal trainer but you made it clear that its very important to be certified. Thank you so much.
I learned absolutely ZERO from this video other than you NEED to click his link to buy his program.
Hey Brian, my name is Juan and I have watching some of your videos lately and I’m trying to finish my personal training certificate exam. The last part of the exam requires a 12 week perioderized training plan that they can do without me. Do you think I need to write every exercise, for every day, for evrey week with every set, rep and load? I am totally new to this and even though I have book, notes and it’s not timed, this is still difficult for me. I appreciate this video with all my heart and any other info will help. I want to submit the exam this week.
good info bro makes me wanna chase my dream and be like you in a way a good personal trainer
Compared to what? These points are all dependent on what a person is currently ‘trapped’ doing. If people are stuck in a Souless, meaningless, line of work, this is still much better even with all of the imperfections.
Have you ever designed your programs where you start with stability exercises and then move into compound movements afterwards?
I’m 6’2 230lbs and I’m trying to lose belly fat and gain muscle mass. What’s a good weekly meal plan to do so? I do more cardio and calaesthetics than weight training. I hardly do weights because no access to them
This is the best personal trainer talk I’ve seen. doesn’t say you can’t do it or it’s dumb business just tells you the truth and the whole truth.
Any recommended literature? I’ve found that books I’ve been recommended on strength programming, for example, were written for powerlifters and Olympic lifters and the books on fat loss I’ve come across have been written for “slightly overweight” individuals! I’m open to books on programming whether it’s strength, mass, fat loss, endurance, flexibility/mobility.
Thanks again!
I think his delivery of this message is why it has a negative feel.
Honestly, if your 20, I can see career in PT can be difficult, Especially with its recent popularity, and the Cookie Cutter formats that are out there.
However, if you are out of the box thinker, I believe, this can be an amazing business to own, and make change. I am currently looking into the Corrective exercise specialist Certification. Good luck, and give yourself a shot
Dude learn how to talk you smack every time you open your mouth
what I admired about his video of the most is that this guy had books and he also reference two different books so that means the t is in it to win it and he knows what he’s talking about now I know for a fact that every personal trainer can teach you everything but it goes back to the basics of how the body is designed and like he said some of the stuff in the library it’s so old that there are new things that are out that has to be updated so you have to take the old and the new
I totally agree with you coach. But its all about passion that keeps you going.

This is your personal opinion. It’s very different depending where you’re from I guess. In the UK, the industry is thriving and even trainers that you consider “old” have very successful career. This isn’t very accurate of the industry. Unfortunately, you’ve probably put decent future trainers off. Unfortunately this your story.
Im a part time trainer. I do construction full time, and i love training more than anything, you sound like a hater dude, nobody told you to go to college and get a masters degree and get into thousands of dollars in debt for a job you can do with a certificate .. come to new york where trainers make upwards of 250k annually
I’m 19 years old, I want to be a personal trainer Is it possible to work at such a young age?
I was listen…but u talked about
1. Presidential election first
2. Who u are?
3. All u keep saying is 40000 personal trainers have bought a product from me. ( That means nothing to me… anybody can be a personal trainer now.)
4. You sold all your personal training businesses to sell bullshit. ( that’s cool you making money but not thru personal training)
5. The title is click bait
Cheers for the Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your opinion. Have you heard the talk about Biyiam Biyameron Solution (do a google search)? It is a great one of a kind guide for learning how to easily get the success of your life of your dreams without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend after a lifetime of fighting got excellent results with it.
Sounds like a teenager complaining about not having weekends
Bedros this by far is one of my favorite videos of yours!!! Great information and motivation, you go have a gift my friend! I have to really buckle down and get my systems in check. My business is doing well and a lot of that is from what I have learned from you. But I want more than just to do well 6 figures is my goal! Growing my personal training studio and online training is my dream and my passion. I just have to get better at implanting these strategies so they are effective. I fell off track for a little wile and lost sight of my vision. Im getting my shit together though and want to work with more fitness and business badasses like you. Thanks for doing what you do man, since 2013 when I opened my business I found your videos and blog. It changed my life and is the driving force that got me from just being a trainer who quit working at LA Fitness to owning my own location. I really felt the need to show you some love man because I value your knowledge!
I still don’t understand how you get people to actually pay you. I am a trainer to, but people always say they want to train with me but they don’t want to put up the money they just want me to meet with them and train them
I am a NASM-CPT, CES, Trainer with about 5 years of training under my belt. I know you explained how you gained an understanding of the assessment and program design process from all your experience and schooling. Can you explained how you possibly assess and train a client with in only a 30-60 minute window. I truly support what you said about a good trainer will not simply just throw a client into a workout. I know from experience that I can not sleep well with out knowing the biomechanics, functional anatomy, and tendencies of a client. This is very hard for me to do with out working myself to death. I find it interesting but hard because there is so much to know about what each client pacifically requires to be the best they can be. FMS, is something I’ve learned and used before. Is there a certain list of assessments that are not just as obvious as a overhead squat assessment, that you have learned to be effective and quicker at helping you obtain crucial information on a client. As someone who survives off this trade I’m trying to find as many ways to become more efficient and productive all on a small time frame while still appealing to each client so that I can retain them every week, month, and year. Any thoughts?
What a worthless video my man. Most generic points ever. Beating around the bush and sidetracking forever. Even if you are selling your own products and services in this video as opposed to actually sticking to the title, you could have still gone about it more honestly than wasting 26min of peoples time. Not very professional, it reeks of lack of quality.
lol disliking your videos keep smacking to much hurts my ears
I love the truth of this. I am a CSEP CPT and have gone to school for education as well.. it’s a great job! But it’s a hustle
Awesome video! I just recently became a CPT and hope this question gets a reply. How do I begin my business as far as getting clients, with plans being so new to the industry and inexperience. Anything will help.
Content is on point master yourself before changing others great advice for beginners
One word…”Distribution” who ever opens the most, helps the most wins the biggest fastest.
Great video but I was looking more on “How to become a personal trainer” not ” How to become a better personal trainer” I’m looking to see what certificates I need In order to become a awesome PT. Your information was great and I will use it but I need to find out how to become a PT first.
Wow I must say that the content shared in here is really amazing and as a result, I have found myself this exercise guide which has helped me big time, Please check it out if you have time and you will never be disappointed: @t
Im looking for being a nurse/ personal trainer/ life coaching. More school the better. She right
The cheapest certification is Albert Polytechnic. It’s online too.
How do I decide which organization to get certified through?
People who literally clean up human feces every day don’t complain this much.. These negatives literally apply to almost any job/career and barely apply to personal training, are you actually serious? Or are you upset that certifications are soo easy to come by now and people with 1/8 the knowledge and training you have are making the same/more money than you? It seems like your upset that people don’t have to spend years in college like you did and now people are hiring them because they charge less..♂️ seems like your the guy that spent years learning how to cast records and now your pissed because everyone has CDs and only a small amount of people who want to pay more for specific records come to you… just so you know that’s exactly what it comes off like, just food for thought.
“Seven Figure” Samantha Taylor had one of my geriatric clients with severe health issues doing burpees in her Boot Camp classes. They also told her to restrict/eliminate all carbs. Not intended to slander, just sharing an actual real world testimonial I received from my client who checked out her Fit Body Boot Camp and reported back. Seven Figure Samantha’s repping your brand well!
Hi, I have one question!I’m 203cm tall(90kg) and I go to gym.In gym,gym workers advised me to engage personal trainer because he will give me some exercises which will enable me to do squats, dead lifts, push ups.I dont have money for personal trainer, so what can you advise me? I repeat once again, I dont have money for personal trainer. Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
What he’s trying to tell us is sell the outcome that’s it make them see the big picture show them what they could look like in a few months
I’m really fit and i wanted to do this but i’m literally just doing it for money. I have common sense, i’m not gonna do a half ass job as training a client, but is all this shit really necessary?? Fuck those text books
Great content. I happened to come across your videos this morning while doing an online search for marketing my business. I have fallen in love with them. Soaking up all the great advice and tips. Finally, someone who knows what they are talking about. Thank you, Bedros for taking the time to make these videos.

How is this system any different from the one by Aidan Booth: https://7figurecycles.net
“How To Become A Certified Personal Trainer” so explain that buddy
I was wondering which certification to get. I asked three gyms and they gave me three different answers. I was searching online for a solid answer and I decided on NASM based on this site: It’s http://www.TheSixFigureTrainer.com
I narrowed it down to ACE, NASM, and ACSM … and I decided on NASM once I did a little research.
There are some great articles here about building your personal training business, and along with helping me choose my certification, I’m also deciding on the right gym for my business.
I told you this with all respect, but I really think you never loved or even liked your profession. Many of the reasons you mentioned for not being a trainer are not important at all, I mean: what is the problem of being asked constantly about health? (point 3): trainers love talking about this! Furthermore, a trainer would never feel bored of gyms and thus become less healthy: he would love to be there and workout as a job and as a leisure time! (point 4) Point 1 could be true but only if you only have individual clientes, not groups or work for a gym or an institution in which you have more fixed schedulles. If you love what you do, money is not so important, and the numbers you mention are really not that bad! (point 2). There are many old trainers that are very energetic, motivating, strong and loved (I have seen them and I have heard about them) (point 5). So at the end I just think you never liked it, because you put to much accent in the bad sides. It was never your thing. It is just my point of view that I wanted to share, anyway thank you for sharing your opinion and good luck with everything.
Wow this is pathetic lol of course you would expect to get up early I wake up at 3:25 am to go to the gym 5 days a week
Bedros your knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time that you do to educate me as I begin my life in the fitness industry.
