I am In good physical shape and have a high fiber diet. I have little or no pain, but am getting tired of reducing it after a BM. Is surgery the only option? I can’t imagine that banding this thing will make it slough off.

Thank You from a sole caregiver of His Mother with dementia. She recently started complaining of pain which I thought may be a bed sore. I had hemorrhoids after giving birth to my son. I just had them surgically removed. I had internal and external. They had to cut the external off and staple around my asshole to stop the bloodflow to the internal ones. U dont know pain in the ass till u have hemorrhoids surgically removed.
Hello did you speed up the speech is so fast I am scared this is a long term thing and FS. My left shoulder mainly in shoulder blade all up to right neck ia awful. I been sleeping on tennis ball. Rolling on one helps but also can inflame worse. This is day six. Im a single mom. Taking medicine have x-ray soon then MRI. It didnt come on sudden i woke with it. Maybe from being on phone in bed too much and carrying my three year old. I have sjogrens too could this be a factor? Please god this can’t go on for months or years. I have to be a mother and this is horrid. Rest makes worse worse when wake. Loosens as day goes or rather still hard. But pain is less. When lay its back to full pain and feels like huge knots in blade. All rock hard and sruck? Does that sound like FS? Its happened before and with pressure drops but always subsides. Praying it will. I had a frozen shoulder when I was about 40, then recently got it again. I’m a diabetic but no arthritis, or injury.. So I’m confused about why this is happening.
I have a sharp shoulder pain when shooting a basketball. Does not happen in the motion itself, only when i actually shoot the ball. Got the injury turning my shoulder. I have no loss of motion or strength just a sharp pain when I try to shoot a basketball.
I agree with you that that rotator cuff exercise where you use the dumbbells and you hold him up and moving towards you that one does cause kind of an impingement or something because your shoulders are already kind of in a compromised position when their up like that thank you the side ones are better

I am 66 years old and recently diagnosed with frozen shoulder. I saw the physical therapist for the first time a week ago. She moved my arm around so much, it was so painful. I actually had bruises on my arm, She did not give me exercises except just to flex my shoulders slightly back, not the scapula squeeze. She did say she thought I was in the thawing stage. I will not be going back to her. Thank you so much for demonstrating how to correctly and safely do the exercises. Some I have already been doing. I am also seeing a massage therapist that is helping me.

Any suggestions on how to tweak this or what to add if you have shoulder pain coupled with bicep tendinitis(my pain seems to be where it attaches to the labrum and runs down my bicep tendon)?
I made the mistake of sacrificing proper form for ego lifting in my first month. Then my sister pointed out what I was doing wrong and I dropped the weight dramatically. Just glad I did that in the very early stages.

Thanks for your detailed instruction. It’s very helpful. I am seeing a PT now and he’s having me use the pulley and the towel behind my back. (Actually, a dog leash but who has to know?) He’s also got me placing a pole behind my neck with my hands draped over it. Then twist my upper body. These plus his mobilization stretches with his arms and hands have resulted in considerable improvement in the first week. Massage was having zero effect. Plus I’m glad to know the technical name for FS. I’ll wow everybody down at the diner now. I’ve been mystified why I got this since the precipitating event was just lightly tossing a pebble off to the side, not falling out of a tree.

Dx with Frozen Shoulder 2mo ago (along with ultrasound showing bicep tendinitis). When doing these exercises, how much pain is too much pain post-workout. A common concern (and observation) among FS patients is that aggressive stretch/exercises prolongs the disease. Any tips on how to find the right balance given this video workout? Thanks.

Learning chin ups causes pain i cannot do it but that hold and negative one causes to drop after that 90 degree hold on chin-up bar can maintain hold from that 90 to 105/110 and then i lose hold strength, meanwhile the hold i get severe pain on right shoulder and at times on the right elbow as well.
when i was in year 6 my legs were fine and i could run but when i was in year 7 my legs were paining me everytime i run

I just used a new pair of shoes from vivobarefoot for running, well I run everyday and after using these shoes, my calves are on fire, but the bottoms of my feet are actually a bit sore, do you recommend vivobarefoot shoes or should I stick to my regular running shoes which have arch suppport?

those ‘Rotator cuff exercises’ at 15:40 you say are not realy practical, i just started to do them as you showed with elbow bent/arm in 90 degree, but you can also do the same exersises with the arm stretched (both ways, form outside inwards and inwards/ to the outside, are those also NOT practical? or (in your opinion) only the 1 you showed with a bent arm?

Fasting is the best cure for hemorrhoids. Fast for 5 days. Drink plenty of water and make sure you are getting enough electrolytes. Best cure.

I’ve had shoulder impigement for months, inflammation of sovraspinatus and slight bursitis. Nothing seems to work, I’ve done all the shoulder stability strengthening exercises that you showed, before, and during the inflammation, as well as all the external-rotation ones. I’ve eliminated all the over-shoulder exercises that caused me pain, also the “fly”, which I can’t do anymore. I’m stretching and training the flexibility every day. I’ve been to the physiotherapist and followed everything they said (now they’r closed cause of the covid19) but NOTHING. It’s still there, and the x-rays showed there’s no structural problem. ♂️Any suggestion?

I agree with you that external and internal rotations don’t give that much of benefits.. I tried them before and didn’t give much for me, I suffer supraspenatos tendon irritation, I went to a joints doctor, after sonar check he confirmed it, he gave a syringe of Hydro cortisone as I think in my shoulder.. I felt good after that but not full recovered, may be 70% better, but I feel some paint from time to time when I workout (Barbell Bench press, barbell raw, dumbbells curl, dumbbells squat, dead left ), I stopped front press, lateral fly, but I am constrained to limited workouts and I can’t raise weights higher. Any advise would appreciated. I like your videos they are good, clear and calm. keep on.

I have been doing the pulley exercise and today it hurt much more than previous times. What does it mean when your shoulder starts to hurt a little so you start lowering your arm, and then the pain increases all the way down and continues for maybe 15 seconds after fully lowering your arm?

I am the only person at my gym that stretches before and after every workout…
Obviously best if you can precede it with:
full body warm up. Brisk walking for 30 minutes in over-warm clothes etc.
follow by gentle swimming and/or hot-cold water treatment
deep massage with oil for 5-10 mins
then do the exercises!
Maybe resort to small dose of non-prescription anti-inflammatories like paracetamol and/or ice-pack before exercises if pain is still impeding?
Personally I also pull on a few sweatshirts and a padded jacket before exercises the contained body/muscle heat helps dissipate or at least mask any pain, improves blood-flow and just feels right if you’ve done the preliminary hot-cold water treatment just beforehand

I used the seeking out my trigger thing to overcome my triggers via exposure. Now instead of becoming sad and shutting down, I get mad and immediately want to attack and defend myself. Idk if that’s a good or bad thing, but its been great helping with my confidence.

What if you don’t force yourself to be alone? Let’s say, you just don’t trust anyone, due to a loss of three friends, or i suppose is all of them. One for 7 years, one for five years, one for four years. Basically they go from best friends to, verbal bullies. Telling you you’re useless and nobody likes you, calling you names. Therefore, you want to be alone, you don’t want to trust anyone, go through the pain you experienced and are experiencing. You watch them tear you, your heart, your soul, take away chunks of your happiness. What if you had no choice but to hang out with them due to the fact that they are your ride to school, your parents are friends, you don’t want teachers to worry, and you’re being threatened. What if you told them something you now regret, nobody else knows. Every part of your life social wise is gone, you don’t trust your family anymore at this point. How are you supposed to socialize? Make friends, but you attend a private school and they don’t switch classes like in a public school. Therefore all of your classmates have found there friend groups, they’ve had 9 years to do so. You don’t have the social capacity to join one, plus the chances somebody likes you is low after the rumors were spread. What is the point now, what is your purpose at this point? You’ve tried therapy, after 2 years they learned nothing. You are weren’t helped, so you forced yourself out of there. It was a living hell for you. Nothing works. You have a slim chance of getting a social life when your 19, that’s in 5 years. What if you can’t wait that long? Ending it is the only way out now, right?

I have hemorrhoids because of too much fiber! I ate a lot of veggies and fruit for 2 years and my chronic constipation got worse. Today I can’t eat any fiber at all. Animal foods are the only safe foods to eat for me. Saying that you need to eat mor fiber is very misleading.

I went to the doctor and he said I have to get my hemorrhoids surgically removed however that’s going to have to be awhile due to financial reasons etc. Is there anything that can reduce the swelling,itching and discomfort in the meanwhile?
I’ve been dealing with this for over 10 years. Drinking coffee keeps me regular. When they were smaller I used a 5 gallon bucket and pine needles. Pour boiling water into the bucket of pine needles until the pine needles are covered. The smell of it is strong, but when the steam hit that crack, you’ll be able to feel hemorrhoids go down. It takes about a good 30 minutes of sitting on the bucket off and on because it will burn if you’re not careful. Mine have grown over the years and I use wipes and don’t stay on the toilet longer than a few minutes. After that I sit in my sink and wash the area good with soap and water. Finally, I take a blow dryer down there and dry the area real good. I apply lidocaine or hydrocortisone to it sometimes. I pray that this helps somebody.

Hemorrhoid is such a pain in the ass. Figuratively and literally.
Suggesting adding fiber is fine and dandy. However, I’m stuck spending 30-60 minutes just wiping my butt after a bowel movement. I don’t see how having a bowel movement more often is going to make those bothersome hemmroids go away. I have grade 4 hemmroids both external and internal. The doctor offered surgery but he could not remove all of them because one of them is very close to wear I defeicate from. I don’t want to become incontinent from the surgery. No body ever talks about the endless wiping. I go through 2 rolls of toilet paper per bowel movement. I’ve tried baby wipes. I go through a lot of the container. I’ve tried using a bidet. That only ended up in more wiping. This has been going on for 19 years. I”m at my wit’s end. Any suggestions???

Having gone through this process myself. I can say, he is totally correct. I would lift in the gym and get upset with the pain and loss of performance as well as disrupted sleep from being unable to comfortably lay on my shoulder. The combination of a scan to identify the exact problem via a doctor, an anti-inflammatory injection to help clear the space in the shoulder, massage, and physio with exercise input and acupuncture. Going back to the gym and focusing on balance and mobility has given me a 90% improvement and reduction in pain. One thing in isolation will not fix a problem but an overall treatment plan will. People think, no effort and a one time injection or pill will fix these things in any part of their body. Unfortunately, this is not the case. It becomes an ongoing process of management, after repair. Maintaining movement, flexibility and weight as well as a healthy diet will aid in quality of life outcomes in rehab as well as overall enjoyment of life.

10-15 minutes warmup is too much for no actual work done IMO.
I just move the joins I’m about to use in the exercises and stretch target muscles a bit, which is 1-2 minutes… Then I jump straight into super-setting at max weights. Never got anything hurt in first couple supersets… But multiple times I hurt myself in later sets….
If you haven’t got a swiss ball walk your hands up the wall slowly using your fingers, I usually do this one foot in front of the other for support start at shoulder height and walk up and down, both arms to;; your hands are above your head.
Since I don’t run I was going to skip this but I’m glad I checked it out. Idea of calf help and stretches even for standing a lot or getting back into longer inclined walking.

I am desperate to have my shoulder heal but it won’t. I tried a couple of your exercises and the pain is bad. I leaned out of the shower and put my weight on a towel rod outside of the shower. I slipped and went down so fast it was insane. I ripped the towel rod out of the wall and my arm was behind me when I fell. I took a huge pain around the top of my arm and felt my arm go limp below the pain. I believed that my arm was broken. It is not broken but I have a big lump on the front of my shoulder and have terrible pain front and back. It has been 3 months and I still can’t use the arm for the things I want to do. I am really desperate to fix it but fear surgery is the only option and that may take months or years to get because I need a scan first. In covid times this may make the rest of my life unlivable. Any suggestions?

I have a pain in my butth0le. It’s 3:30am right now. I can’t sleep because of the pain. I try sleeping at day but it’s like a luxury for me to be able to sleep more than 6 hours right now. Even basic tasks like sitting on a chair while I’m on desktop is a pain in the A$$(literally). I’ve made up my mind and I’m commited on following this. Let’s see if I’m able to fix this without the help of a doc or not.

As always, your videos are extremely helpful, especially now during this COVID-19 pandemic. I injured the tricep muscle and shoulder of my right arm last year (’19) when I was actively going to P.T. for a peroneal tendon injury of the left ankle. At my age, I should have known better than to try and reach backwards at an odd angle for a t.v. remote. Initially I thought it would get better with rest and some heat. Six months in, I realized that wasn’t gonna do it and I realized that in the process of allowing my arm to ‘rest’, I had unwittingly allowed ‘frozen shoulder’ to take over. I didn’t get to go see an orthopedic surgeon until March of ’20. He told me I still had a decent range of motion but that we needed to open the shoulder up so he set me up with P.T. 2-3 times weekly for 30 days. I only got to go once before all the pandemic shelter-at-home orders began rolling in. I live in Ky. and our governor began a massive stay-at-home order from the get-go. In compliance with that order, I had to cancel my therapy. However, I’ve continued my exercises here at home as best I could following the therapy sheet they gave me but I haven’t been satisfied with my attempts to relax the shoulder and get it to open up. This video has helped me to do just that so I can continue on with the exercises and feel like I’m making headway. I just wish I could do better with the moist heat therapy. A small heat pad just isn’t enough, but it’s better than nothing. I soak and wring out a clean washcloth, mic it for 30 seconds, shake it out and apply it to my shoulder, wrap THAT in saran wrap and then put the heat pad on high for about 30 minutes at a time. Better than nothing and it does help some. Thanks so much for these videos. They are lifesavers.

I’m so excited my frozen shoulder finally broke free after exactly one year! For three months, every day, I’ve been doing aerobics and lifting small weights. Last week, my shoulder seemed warm and achy so I thought it was getting worse. But yesterday, during the weights, I heard a crackle in my shoulder. This morning it happened again, and now I have full range of motion and no pain! I was really worried before.

Definitely “ego lifted” my deadlift and tweaked my back. lesson learned
i would argue that myofascial release actually has negligible effects for weightlifting. Pretty much any injuries that is caused by problems in the fascia happens because of highly repetitive contraction of the muscles that it covers/high impact sports. I’m talking about runners or basketball athletes, not high volume weight training
One of the reasons of hemorrhoids is bacterial infection from using your phone on the toilet (sitting on the toilet for too long).

This is clearly my feeling right now. My mom’s angry at me because I was being moody. The reason why I was being moody because her guyfriend is around I don’t really like him because I don’t see him being too respectful to her and he is so very annoying; plus my mom takes care of him when he has a fever, but when I am sick she told me to take care of myself. The guy is 24 and I am 18. And my mom is angry at me, because she told me earlier to just sit down and do nothing so I told myself I just follow and then I fall into a deep sleep. Then around 3:40 pm she suddenly yells at me saying ” You are such a bull** you lazy ass ” and she even called my grandpa saying I was so disrespectful and a lazy ass and want me to go live my father who was been abusing and doesn’t really care about me and also pretty lazy. I told her that if we can talk, but she said she doesn’t want me to talk to her or else she will throw a glass in my face. So I just sleep then my grandpa called mand said I should not be disrespectful, because she is my mom and not a friend. pft at least there are some mom’s who said they are both a friend and mother to there child and has no problem with it. So I feel like my grandpa doesn’t believe me anymore my long and loving trusted grandfather betrays me I clearly don’t want to talk to him.

I think I may have shoulder instability, due to over-developed chest muscles and overuse on the bench press. As such, I shall try the suggested exercises. Would it do harm to add in some machine rows? I get no pain when doing them. I’ve given up bench press recently just to hopefully fix this problem (clicking of the shoulder joint when I raise my arm in front of me but ONLY when my arm has extended past a certain point behind me and THEN I move it forward). Additionally, I experience no pain when moving my shoulder. Just the clicking, which is a little bit uncomfortable and does feel like it is becoming a little inflamed, but definitely not ‘pain’.

I definitely search out ways to make me sad. I’m obsessed with listening to girlfriend RPs and friend to lovers RPs cause they remind me just how lonely and hopless I am of finding a partner. The undereating and weightloss is probably from the depression. I have a doctors appt at the snd of the month and I plan on telling her everything but I’m afraid I’ll lose my nerve by then…

i sleep at 4 am, isolate and trigger myself, undereat (maximum 600 cals a day), overexercise and slit my wrists lmfao 6/5

If your form is not excellent A to Z don’t do deadlifts. You will get some snap back action.
Hello, I just started to workout, and I started feeling pain on my right shoulder. I still have a good range of motion but I feel pain when I start rotating my arms like doing a circular motion and hear some popping and snapping. I did the back scratch test also, and I feel pain like 3/10 on my shoulder and I can’t go as high as my other arm. Do I have a rotator cuff injury?

I take an enama bulb a few times when I go out but even then sometimes I still have a smell of poop my doctor was against surgery but now it’s getting worse I think the constant enemas plus trying to pass naturally caused the 3/4 of them to swell I really don’t know what to do I spend hours in preparation trying to not smell and it’s even giving me thoughts of suicide feels like I have leprosy or something to that degree.

Is it self harming when I scratch my legs when I’m really upset. Like till they bleed or are raw. I only do it when I’ve felt like I’ve failed (that was more pinching) and when my parents are yelling at me. My mom threatened to send me to therapy and I’ve only done it in secret since but I don’t think it’s self harm.

i wish i had knowledge before i started lifting. like a dumbass i started out with 5 times a week lifting straight to heavy weight and i injured my wrists……this was september 2017…and it still hurts and can’t work on my upper body at all! i litteraly have pain in day to day tasks

Thank you very much your videos as well as a few other on youtube helped me drastically reduce my shoulder pain. A few time the last year or so i waked up with a shoulder pain. At first it was minor and only letting my arm rest in a scarf warped around my neck during few days, and this had my pain go away (at that time i was assuming if i had pain, resting was the best). But last time it happened my shoulder pain kept on going for a couple of months without sign to go away. I couldn’t even swim or plunge in the sea as the range of motion was just hurting too much. Now i made a lot of stretching and ball massage and the pain is mostly away and i can swim again. I figure out the cause: it was due to an old mattress (i could feel springs), and my sleeping position on the right side squeezing my shoulder had me wake up with shoulder pain a few times now. I’m really glad i could find some kind of self treatment as the health system here is absolutely terrible these last few decades (they try to force people into a private health sector and are just behaving very badly to make this happen, so i just avoid them straight away if i can). So thank you for those video, exercises was actually the way to go to heal which is really counter intuitive.

Hi psych2go! Is this normal for me to get emotional by children being loved by their parents, or babies being looked after, even toddlers playing with their friends triggers me. I’m a teenage girl who was a victim of child abuse. My stepdad would constantly beat me up and the worst he did was cut the clothes I was wearing and kept touching my body and ridiculing me. I was 10 when that particular event happened and now I fear changing rooms. The other girls laugh at me when I get panic attacks. They once filmed one and threatened to show everyone they know….they probably did. I just feel so bad for children and babies now. I get these twisted thoughts and I start to worry what if they ever experience the abuse and bullying I went through. I sometimes have these episodes where I dont do anything but cry and have panic attacks because of it. Luckily I’ve learned not to cry in school but I cant help the panic attacks. They mostly happen at night so nobody really notices. I dont know why it’s such a big deal to me though. Am I jealous that some kids have 2 parents that love them no matter what and I had a man that loved seeing me hurt. He was a drunk too, that made it much worse. I want to live my childhood again but I want to be an adult so I have no school bullies to deal with.
Don’t have any self-harm stories. I do injure myself sometimes but they don’t hurt.:)

i am a weighlifter and I don’t have a lot of workout time so I gave up the very little aerobic exercise that I use to do. I am fat now and need to run. By the time I get to half a mile my shins burn and ache so bad I cannot keep going. Should I just keep pushing, trying to do more everyday?
