HI all. Thanks for watching this (free) video. I hope you got something out of it. My gain was hot in this video (I’m well aware…thanks to all that have commented) because a cord had knocked the knob on the zoom H6 and they are SUPER sensitive. As you can see, I’m not wearing in-ears or headphones, so I didn’t notice it until post-production, and I didn’t feel like re-recording the whole thing. I thought “Hey…people will appreciate the tips and not care about a bit of clipping”. Alas…it’s YouTube, and everyone needs to make their presence known. Anyway, I hope you appreciate the effort in lighting, camera quality, and content, and can see past the clipping. Peace.
I thank you for you tips on what mistakes begining podcaster can make. I think this will help me in relating to my audience better.
I agree with everything but the leggings! Personally I don’t always want to wear jeans or dresses when I’ll be running around all day! Gets hot & uncomfortable. You can easily dress up plain black leggings with some plain converse or nice workout sneakers. A jean jacket or bomber with simple makeup & simple jewelry like pearl studs with hair in a high pony. I’ve had tons of compliments even dressed like that.
Except for Joe Rogan. He doesn’t introduce his guests, he just starts the conversation.
I love your look! Where did you find the top/dress you’re wearing?
Great tip on introducing a guest! It makes sense. Might as well use it when introducing a guest lecturer on a course I teach at uni.
‘It can hear a mouse fart in the next county.’ Cracked me up!:D
Excellent advice and suggestions. Miles better than the majority of these 20 minute videos about others’ experience and cute little stories. Gracias!!
Talking about the importance of audio quality and your levels are jarring and all over the place…
Not being able to stomach all the sweet food provided by the organisers… A friend of mine takes a slice or two of cold pizza to eat!!
Great advice, but what’s interesting is the audio quality on this is just ok, why is that?
What about an already-launched podcast?
I already started one more as a passion project (and it still is), but I want to try for a bigger audience. I’m on the 18th episode, but is it too late to implement some of these suggestions in? Like would I have to start over?
Realest YouTuber out there. So real bro love your shit. Get with me. Nice lad.
the most simple thing i love about joey’s presentation is his plethora of vocabulary or descriptions.
love it
I love your accent and you are very beautiful! Thanks for sharing
just watched this video are you still doing thw art of the interview?
FYI, I hate to say this, but your voice distorted a few times quite badly-even while giving advice on microphone and during your close, ironically, while talking about mic quality.
Been looking to try podcasting and this video was really useful. Thanks!
I liked this video as soon as you said, “a mouse fart in the next county”
Problem with “people will appreciate the tips and not care about the clipping [quality]…I didn’t fee like rerecording it…” is it’s “do as I say, not as I do” complete hypocrisy: essentially you’re saying “I’ve got good information, I’ll just throw it out there…sound quality doesn’t matter…” bc my info is THAT GOOD. Which you JUST said, isn’t “good enough”.
I’m 15 and I don’t know any clothing stores for me too look elegant.
Michael… I’m two years late but good job. I knew the stuff you said because I’ve been doing radio for decades but it was great to hear it validated that you have to in short respect your audience and respect your guest.
Man when talking about bad audio, your recording kept on clipping non-stop
Amazing Video. Very Well explained. And ⭐✨all Information given and explained well. Thanks keep posting.
Warm regards
The UnknownManCub
no offense but your audio in that video was quite bad… sooo find it hard to take you seriously….:/
What a beautiful lady you are! You are concise and tour energy is great!
I am brand new to podcasting on a subject I am passionate about. I loved this video, and didn’t mind one bit about the hot gain. THANK YOU for the great content. I am planning my first guest in the next month. I appreciate you putting this out there for us newbs.
The only way I know somebody is behind me is if I here them breathing hard♀️
I have a condenser mic, but i always have to bump the sound in my daw, as it’s weirdly quiet. I’ve had better results with my sm-58, but it also picks up room noise because of my dog, cat, and child. Lol
is teaching us mistake but he made 1 saying 5 but they say 6 0:02
How many hours did u workout as begginer at home.??
Due to lockdown I m doing workout from home..and plus I m taking creatine??
Is it good???
can you put the pizza stone in the boiler? i’m talking about the gas oven that have the second compartment.
Thank you so much for this video! I needed to hear this for my own podcast!
Got any tips on which fat source I should be involving in my cooking? I noticed Avocado Oil has a high smoke point. Does that make it good for cooking? Not many people seem to use it.
So 85% of your audience didn’t hear you promote your Art of the Interview course and its “awesome” discount…:o)
I want to start a podcast. But I lost my job because Covid.. I don’t have enough money to buy a microphone… any ideas?
Thank you SO much for posting this, although it’s 2020 when I’m seeing it, just watching this for 15 minutes upped my professionalism in ways I never thought of before.
3 Adverts over 5 minutes in total at the beginning that I can’t click off really sucks. Almost didn’t’ bother sticking around.
good advice but didn’t you break your rule by plugging at the end
Too many too long breaks (on refreshments stops). Maybe it is individual, but I find it difficult to get back to a rhythm for a while (sometimes for a long while)
I’m afraid you’re gonna have to tell me where you got your haircut because I’m dyin here
Powerful tips here. I’m about to work some these into an edit tonight. Thanks Michael.

Hi Everyone, if someone is looking to get a kickass cover art designed for a podcast, let me know.

Thank you for reading this comment. Peace.
Thanks so much for this, so needed a big kick up the bum! Love your energy, love your sense of humour, but most of all love your passion in helping people succeed in podcasting. Just with this video…
I’m going to retitle & rebrand my podcast (that I never felt ok with)
Take control and responsibility of my show and massively EDIFY my guests
Go off book and have great conversations and build relationships
And Plug like a pro!
Thank you!!!!
You are so beautiful and I love your demeanor. These are excellent tips. Lovely!
Are podcasts supposed to go on forever, or can they only have a few episodes in total to succeed? I’m just curious because it would be interesting to make a podcast about a particular subject, but I can’t think of anything that relates to it, so I was considering just that subject for the podcast (about 15-20 episodes).
Seriously one of the most insightful videos I’ve seen on podcasting. Learned so much here! Thank you for sharing.
Just found you by accident (the power of youtube algorythms). Most helpful. Now I know what a podcast actually is and is supposed to be. The tips are most helpful too.
I wish I knew all this when I was younger, I was an excellent center defender, of the ball, my strongest point where, a fighter, header, talking, man marking, physicality, 1on 1 defending, and agression, and determination, my fabless was exactly those in this video, not looking up, hiding, and making wrong passes, as I Felt that I have not enough time with the ball, Despite all this I was still important player in the first team but, I regret that I didn’t knew it, at a very young age all those things, I would’ve been 10 times better, Which i did with experience, and age, and I am enjoying my football more now then before, as get to play more on the ball, helping my team mates in every situation. The advice for the kids is simple, keep ur head up, look around, before and after u receive the ball, u will win more time to make good decisions, that will lead to ur players trusting you, and u will get the ball a lot mor, and that will boost ur confidence, which will help you, in believing in ur self, which leads to better ball control and the rest. It’s all about training and having the right coach.
excellent tips and well presented #6 was the best! Thanks Michael
I would of appreciated more if you were yourself rather than anna bey
The presence of Michael Obama was disturbing (I don’t like Left wing Islamo-Marxists). Otherwise great video.
This is good information but could have been done as a podcast. Since you are using a video format, you should add more to make the format beneficial. It would have been nice to have overlays showing each of the 6 mistakes, and anytime you mention a product it could be printed on the screeen. Take advatage of the platform.
Great video.I usually just blend the san marzano tomatoes and add onto the pizza without cooking and it works out well.
How do you ensure decent audio quality on the interviewee’s side though? So often i hear good audio on the host side but since it is done over phone/remotely, the other side sounds terrible…
Thanks for sharing your wisdom! Your advice particularly pertaining to guest is something super easy to overlook but makes a huge difference in their comfort & the quality of discussion. I really liked the tips about the 8 mile method, we don’t do traditional interview podcast but this still applies to a degree. The 15% completion statistic was a little shocking and I will definitely keep that in mind moving forward, thanks Michael! Great video!
just learned more about interviewing ppl from this one video than from one year of tv internship! Thanks for being so on point!
great help, im currently in the baby steps of setting up a podcast, you are a saint, brilliant video thank you bud.
I like it. Productive advice as I’m preparing to start my podcast.
MIc was the first thing I noticed, personality massively made up for it. Your presence is so lively and engaging!
Minimise faffing. I faffed for over half an hour at a feed stop at the Lecht ski station a few years ago on a pretty challenging sportive and when the broom wagon showed up I panicked and knackered myself putting a gap between it and myself.
Missed the official cut-off time but because of the 40-50mph headwinds they’d have had to disqualify a lot of riders:-)
i will never understand why someone would add salt to the flour instead of the water. Salt is the first thing you should add to water and you should use your hand to dissolve the salt….
Chest, Shoulders and Bicep. I see no problems with this split
Great video! @ 1:25 nice Canyon too! Which model is that? Couldn’t find anything identical on their website.
Great into, what if my guests don’t really have anything to plug but themselves and their life journey??
Sorry if it has already been asked, but what Trek does Emma ride?
I definitely took down some notes! Check out my podcast on Beyond the Sound at https://anchor.fm/alexRgee
#1 RULE don’t pay for the sportive, just start half a km from the start line and join in for free:) You’ll soon have enough for a new bike with the savings made
This video is what not to do, unlike usual.
End of vid still got a checklist what to do
Americans make me sick all the guy had to do was bounce him when he was under pressure and move don’t try and turn out with players on you ♂️
On mistake #1 the defenders are faster than me so i cant even fix the touch
U will be the next big thing buddy…❤️ Keep hustling keep working.
Love from India✌️
But not moving to receive the ball mistake WHAT IF I DID MOVE BUT MY TEAMMATE JUST DON’T WANNA PASS TO ME.
yay I have that same watch and bracelet already! That boosts my self esteem haha
Hes doing alot with the pizza, the other videos I’ve seen were much more simple and looked wayy better. (His still looks good tho)
I was playing soccer at school one time with my friends and I gave him a perfect pass but he didn’t move and some kid from the opposition who was playing offense and just sprinted like over 20 yards and took the ball he yelled at me and I just flipped out
I built a brick oven in the back yard just for pizza. Nothing else compares!
Makes a mistake in the intro (*6)
And wants us to avoid mistakes 😉
What do you advise whoever wants professionalism a later age
Here are my tips, if you achieve this perfectly you can become world class player. I can’t do it myself cause i tore my ACL
1improve balance (master it, perfection) you need to make this as easy as drinking water
2pass, make it so perfect that you don’t need to look, muscle memory 10000 passes to master
3touch, it must be so good that the ball lands 5cm from your foot in every single angle (from air, back, bouncy from ground, flat, hard passes)
4Dont try to do nice wow acrobatic goals or skills, the thing is goal is a lot more important than a nutmeg. Don’t go for acrobatic skill bullshit, go for goals.
5literally your acceleration, if you have a really good acceleration then people will pass in front of you more often which leads to more opportunities.
6Do not go for skills and nutmegs, focus on simple goals
Love the video. I can also add that Your teammates should communicate with you EVERYTIME and tell you that there is someone right behind you. I know I can be aware that someone is right behind me but you never know if they end up pressuring someone else while I receive the ball, I will look stupid to pass it back the defender when no one is pressuring me. It’s easier for my teammate to tell me to turn around and move the game forward. Always communicate, it a team effort.❤️
1:38 little wrong if u guy comes meeting the play with a opponent it create room behind and if u play on the meeting guy he can give it back then u can play in space
I’m a young player and that is the advice that I need but I only needed it for 2 of them thank you you guys are very helpful and i watch all your videos
Well. There is the sourdough guy using yeast for pizza dough.
Why not doing the original, with sourdough?
A roman style pizza uses a sourdough with 70% hydration.
https://youtu.be/LYlBvtHePj8
But you should take into account, that Liveto Madre, the Italian sourdough ist less hydrated than normal sourdough and therefore has more yeast in it.
Here is a good video about making original Italian sourdough starter.
https://youtu.be/15QrVhqCYJw
English: https://youtu.be/K1xQ4oDLyWw
Another one I wish you would’ve added: jumping to block a shot or cross. There’s nothing I hate more than defenders jumping to try to block a shot/cross before it is taken. Every good attacker sees the jump coming and instead of shooting, he cuts to the side, at which point the defender literally cannot do anything because his body is in the air. Now the attacker is free to do whatever he wants because the defender is no longer defending him.
Imagine doing a mistake in a video made for avoiding mistake….
1:30 in this scenario the teammate can pass back and rebuilt the construction!
Hello All attack! Please can you make a video for defenders. Please
Hey your videos are great, super helpful. Is there any chance you could give some feedback on my own podcast? If not its fine. Again thanks for the advice!
Another recommended vid ny allAttack damn i should really subscribe bc i have learned so much skills and tips feom this channel it has made me better than i was now im rlly breaking ankles at my school
I watch this video over and over again NOT to make these mistakes great vid by the way
I’ve played football on school level as a centre forward player. Right niw my age is 18 and I’ll turn 19 when I’ll be able to play again due to this covid -19, i can do some skills like rainbow and foot over..i live in india..I’m really into football, is there any possibility of me becoming a pro football player
Please do reply, this is not for pass time i really need to know..
i DONT Agree WITH 1,2 AND 4.. THATS How ADVANCED TEAMS PLAY..
1) THere are Many ways to SCORE..Also What Matters Is You LOCK Your FOOT with BALL.
2)If you dont PASS UNDERPRESSURE Then You Wont BREAK Any PROFESSIONAL DEFENSE.
4). If You dont TURN Against DEFENDER Then You cannot DRIBBLE PAST DEFENDERs..
Yes the people! Hope you’re all still holding up well. Appreciate everyone getting in on the lolz with these comments haha . Take it easy and I’ll see ya all soon ✌
I now understand why I’m not shredded. Because I’ve only been training for 53 seconds.
Mate I love all your videos. I said mate for the first time in my life and it’s so cool to say
Skip the broil. That obviously doesn’t work. Or move to the middle of the oven so you don’t burn the top before the bottom chars.
Give a tutorial on the football kit you are wearing…! It’s fresh looking!
The realest youtuber out there like for real, so real that you’re realer than celebrity big brother reality show
You look like linguini off of ratatouille! And it is seriously awesome!!
Last game of last season my u16
Were playing into the wind first half, instructed them shoot on site, went to up
The just sat in an 11 man block for second half
Needles t9 say won 2 0
The wind can be your friend
I have a serious question (or questions). So is it recommended to maybe do something like full body workouts when starting? Or sticking to that kind of “bro split” where each day you’re hitting 2 or 3 muscle groups? You also spoke about tracking your lifts, and idk how to explain it but let’s say my limit is 225 squat. And I hit 200 one week, then each week after that I go up in weight by 5? What if I have a great week and I hit 225 (but that’s my limit) then the next week i hit 225 again or go to 230? Like how would you track your lifts to progress?
Realest YouTuber out here. So real brolove your shit. Get with me. Nice lad. Proper nice.
Realist yotuber out there. so real love your shit. get with me. nice lad. proper nice.
Joe, you make the fake youtubers look faker..
But on a serious: You’re the realest mate
One of the most crazy things I realized by watching this video was that I naturally discovered all of these mistakes very early on when other people came at me trying to push me in the wrong direction. Great video, really reaffirmed that I’m going in the right direction.
Also can this result be achieved without using yeast at all?
This video is actually horrible. I would avoid watching this again. @ 3:41
Is anyone not gonna talk about how funny it was when he quoted on his first video, “Actual Footage from when I started lifting in 1950” HAHAHAHA!!!
Realest Youtuber out there. So real bro -love your shit. Get whit me. Nice lad. Proper nice.
someone needs to tell my fifa 20 players about not moving to recieve
Damn I did the opposite that you did. My lower body is way more developed than my upper body. Oops
When I listen to you… you sound EXACTLY LIKE ALI G… are you from Staines?
I m working in home by two dumbells each 8 kg..
And some squats and deadlifts (home made)
Can I be muscular??
Buen profesional siga adelante K Dios os cuide y lo acompañe family❤️⚽
Realistically, people need to realise from these unreal Joe Delaney reels, that this guy is oozing realism, a seemingly unrealistic feat in an industry saturated with antirealism. What an ethereal dude, who eats cereal…
Not all 40 year olds are stuck in the sticks with a bunch of ungrateful children!
New subbie here ♀️ Loved the video, and you’re very beautiful and elegant. Also I detect a French accent..parlez-vous Français?
some people just have that natural Swag and ooze coolness, lucky bastard Joe
I need to lose weight 5ft 11 17stone 7. Fairly muscley underneath already. Do I need to do low rep high weight to build muscle and shred the weight, or should I do a lower weight high rep?
Are you trying to copy the ronaldo haircut from the 2002 world cup mate?
No Jo. I dont think your the pinnacle of anything. Your just a gear head. Never forget that.
Joe is the realest lifter lifting if I suicide grip my bench!
Joe, I need another feelz video. Back to the basics. The vibes shall continue
Intros that leave the name for last also creates curiosity as your audience tries to guess (often subconsciously) who you’re about to introduce, which is a mild form of suspense and makes them pay attention.
Your over here talking about sound quality and yours sucks lol but good advice
if you have the lighting round, or the tornado round or hurricane round! LOL!
Joe do some more challenges man, try to do a max number of dips in an hour. You’d be exponentially realer if you did man.
I can’t tell if i understand what he’s saying or not like it sounds like english but sometimes is it actually english?
I think noting is the best tip. If I see what I did last time, I definitely want to do one rep more or go for a heavier weight. In that way I always make progress somewhere which is very motivating!
Every time I attempt to do this in my oven I smoke my entire place out!
This video will get more than one view from me. What if over 30 percent view this more than once? Thank you for your time.
Check the elevation profile for the sportive and, if necessary, change your rear cassette. There’s nothing worse than having to get off on a steep climb because you have run out of gears, especially in cycling shoes.
how can you be so beautiful…. wow. i have no words, you are so beautiful.
Some good points that not seen other places still. Keep working on it.
The 6 points summed up
1. Emphasise specific muscles and follow a bro split, it’s okay to skip leg day!
2. Cut as soon as possible / go hard or go home
3. No need for a programme, do what you feel like. don’t let some spreadsheet tell you what to do!
4. listen to your appetite, macro counting is an unhealthy habit!
5. Too much frequency, not enough volume. So imma need you to turn that up a little
6. Cutting too hard after a bulk… what a waste of a bulk
Hope this helps: )
This is bang on. The amount of players I see who are average but think they can take on 4 players and always fail, just never surprises me anymore. They never pass. Also, on the shouting for the ball average players never see you if you call for it. And that is probably down to reason 1 they’re always looking down. And the killer pass the amount of times you see players lose the ball trying to do it. I’m done with average.
basically elegant ladies dress like grandmas… lol these sort of cloths make you look wayyyy older…. why do most elegant rich women get plastic surgeries…. cause they look old and act old.
What do you think about people wearing fake designer handbags? Is that a bad thing or does it not matter? would also like to hear other peoples opinion on that.
6. dont listen to people asking for passes when youre a begginer
9:05 this is a mistake (tasty mistake)! The raw sauce on the pizza. Good luck.
Thanks for the advice. Taken a lot of this on board. I’m a newbie to all this stuff so just wondered if any issues doing it this way… I’m doing 4 days a week (Day 1 Arms/Shoulders // Day 2 Chest // Day 3 Back // Day 4 Legs) but want to double this. As this would obviously be 8 sessions, would there be any issues with always having my rest day on day 7 and following on where I left off the day after? For example if I finish on a chest day Saturday, can I have my rest day and then continue on with a back session Monday and keep looping that way?
It’s interesting during the video she said not to wear large or flashy jewelry as she has on huge door knocker earrings…
Hi linda! I love what you’re wearing! Where is your top/dress from?
I encourage everyone to look up their Kibbe body type. The easiest way to look well put together is to dress in harmony with your essence and body type. It’s the key to looking your most flattering!
I love your videos. Your down to earth demeanor makes me like cooking more.
Joe Rogan dosen’t always plug his guests at the beginning of a show. I’ve been binge-watching a lot of his podcast recently and it’s amazing how often I’m an hour into the conversation and I still have no idea who the guest is it what they do.
This is according to your views I think everyone has their different perception of this.
So apparently it’s gonna take the whole day for me as an amateur
The black version of Anna Bey….Girl you have definitely gained a new subscriber.
Looking too elegant prematurely in age makes you look older than you really are
although i’m a 13 year old black girl and have no desire to embrace my femininity, i applaud you for not degrading others who wear anything not feminine. i find chains, sweats, oversized shirts, sneakers etc. cute imo and i love them. everybody has their own style, i don’t mind the elegant, classy look though btw, you’re very pretty
Can you please do a video about how a woman should move as you mentioned in the video
If that dough sat as long as it did, why didn’t it spread out willingly? It sprang back like it had only been sitting for a few hours, not overnight.
Mistake #7: Not testing your levels before you hit record XD still a good video though
Nice video but I disagree with number 2. It’s fashion depending on how you style it. You don’t necessary have to wear it to make it look like you just got out the gym. You just have to think and be creative about it.
Tbh i noticed that everytime i purchase something from fashionnova that is made in china the material is so bad, when they are made in the usa the items are so much better
Lmao how you get friends that just buy you expensive jewelry?
2:53 no,usually your teammate warning you. So if you lose the ball like this thats not your fault because your teammate has to warn you. But obviously if you not sure than just pass the ball back.
Hi, I actually took notes, thank you for the video, also you are beautiful:)
My pizza dough is not airy. It’s full of holes. Do you think I used too much yeast? I used 7g and let it prove for 2 hours.
Love this channel. Honestly I myself am a feminist an ACTUAL feminist Feminists that try to turn women into men and shame them for acting ladylike, becoming housewives etc, all this is doing is changing the narrative of women not supporting a womans right to choose how to live her life which is what feminism initially stood for. Feminism means, a woman can be a CEO or a Housewife and deserves to be respected in whatever she CHOOSES. Women used to be FORCED to be housewives, and mocked for wanting a career, now they are FORCED to have a career or risk being mocked for being housewives or overly feminine, feminism nowadays is just forcing women to fit inside a new box and god forbid if you don’t, you’re now a gold digger, weak minded or let men ‘walk all over you’. I myself have my own career which i love, but im a strong believer in girl power, I shouldn’t have to act like a man to be respected.
you sound like ANNA BEY from schoolofaffluence. and guess what? I love it. new subscribed!
Try using salteen crackers in your dough, thick crust or thin crust…
You should dribble 3 or 4 players when there is no option to pass or shoot
Hello Linda, what’s the music in the background called please?
What if you have to be selfish because ur teammates fail at the third one
You are making a mistake right now hun wearing those big ghetto earrings, elegant ladies would not wear them never, little dainty earrings is what elegant ladies wear, you need to get fully schooled on elegance before making these sort of videos
Thank you for the tip. I am at the 22nd show and have been analyzing my podcast and I feel I have no direction with it. Show started good, but people are not listening all the way thru. I definitely know I have some opportunity and the lack of marketing is causing my audience not to grow. The tips are actionable.
This isn’t match related but work on everything, cuz one weakness can make the difference
Hey can you guide us on how to control our voice volume I’m loud and it’s genetics I wanna be elegant yet not fake looking u get me. I don’t want to show like I’m acting
A model who I think is really elegant and I like is Yasmin Ghauri, btw thank for the tips, your channel has been really helping me in my femininity journey(also I am 15!)
Logo showing is too tacky and it looks like the person is trying so hard to prove that it is not a knockoff. Usually if u have to do that then it usually is a knock off. I am not big on name brand. If it looks good then I will wear it. In Africa we are lucky enough that we can get good quality fabric tailored into elegant pieces. Just get a good tailor
Alright I spent a bunch of time making this. Not gonna lie, it wasn’t the taste I was expecting. My pizza was crispy as promised but it was also not very tasty and was very filling. That was probably my fault and that was probably my bad for using entirely all purpose flour. Everything expect the actual bread of the pizza turned out good tho
Hey, I followed this recipe and procedure today obsessively (except with 4 cups whole wheat flour) and it is just not working. I have now waited 4 hours and the dough is just this pile of wet goop in the bowl. I can’t possibly form it into balls or throw it around like in the video. What did I do wrong? I tried adding some more flour but its still just a bowl of wet sticky goop that all sticks to my fingers. I don’t understand. Please help because I spent so much time preparing for this.
Sincerely Linda,Tracey Hensel and Anna bay you guys are my favourite when it comes to femininity
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your earrings and have been looking for a pair like those for a while. Could you please tell me where they’re from?
That necklace + midi long sleeved turtle neck dress =
Brother, I believe your audio quality would improve tremendously if you just adjust your mic. Your microphone is placed wrong. You should not be speaking on top of mic. You should be speaking directly to your mic. Hope this helps
What’s the biggest mistake you’ve ever made before a sportive..?
My sportive mistakes
not fully charging my DI2 and it running out getting stuck in one gear
not eating….. I now have a 20 min timer on my Garmin to remind me to eat and drink
turning left and joining a tandem who where not competing
doing my first 100 miler and getting to the end to find that it was 97 miles…. and then joining the rest in cycling around the aerodrome to get my 100 miles in
dont drop litter Etc not a good thing for our sport
Enjoy
Longest distance so far is 29.5 miles with over 2000ft elevation, first sportive is 52 miles with 1400ft elevation, reckon I’ll manage?
2 bacon egg and cheese on bagals. Bagals are harder and stay in system longer, half gallon of orange juice spread out from time you get up to right after breakfast, 4 waters ( propel) and a sprite. Cheapest way to go 40 mi. 23ib. Bike with everything on it.
Chris, your cranks aren’t straight and valves in the wrong place mate. That’s not how you get a Supernice
Thanks man, I wanna be a soccer player and this great advice
1:13.. passing to someone under pressure isn’t that bad♂️..you could simply do a one touch pass quickly in order to avoid a player..anyways thanks for the vid⚽️
I’d actually prefer starting with a program because I would walk into a gym and have no clue what to do without one. Problem is, there’s SO MUCH INFORMATION out there on beginner programs I don’t know what to choose.
If a podcast is about interviewing others what platform should I use to talk about topics on my blog? Like Michael Savage does. Rush Limbaugh didn’t usually interview others. I’m leaning more towards a talk radio show. What’s the platform for that?
I try and ride 15 @ 15, first 15 miles average 15 mph, once that’s done I know legs are warm, drink and food are working and can increase speed if possible. Worked for my first and second 100, will do the second for my first Prudential Ride London:)
Bro I want a goal post so how can I converse my parents for the goal post
Great presentation and is advice I’ll heed if I ever get up enough courage to enter. I don’t expect to win on the first try, but I’d certainly like to make as few mistakes as possible and still be competitive, this list will help avoid potential disaster!
I’m curious about Emma’s goal at Maratona, is she focusing on winning or entertain us.
How old is Emma? She’s always panting while cycling and talking at the same time.
Welcome new presenters:) You go, guys! To all who moan in the comment section: let them arrive first, it’s like their first video! They’ll be funnier when they get to know each other better, sheesh)))
Your biggest mistake is choosing this mic, your microphone sucks.
i LOVE that earoad.. is it a custom, or available somewhere?:)
The new presenters are… boring. And I’m including Emma. They lack the sense of humor of Matt and company.
First mistake was in the feed zone where i took a full glass of some kind of liquid and poor it on my head to cool myself, but it turns up that I splash myself with some kind of izotonik drink and I was half blind for next 10 minutes and quite sticky till the end of the race:-)
I have the same oven as you and after 4 minutes of broiling my whole pizza is burnt. Definitely need some trial and error
Need some time to get used to looking at buffed up GCN presenters
This year presenters challenge will be an interesting one, mountain and sprint stages perhaps?
Upper body muscles on GCN presenters, I’m confused. Emma great as always! Great vid guys.
biggest mistakes I find in sportives have always been bunch riding with strangers (crash danger due to half wheeling, turning, passing etc.) and treating sportives like a race
I have a couple. My first real sportive, I was running late and forgot to properly inflate my rear tire so, I was pushing extra hard just to keep up with my friends until the first station and a bike mechanic pointed out that I had almost no pressure in the tires.
The new guys aren’t Matt but nice work chaps, good to have the fun back. Emma is still the bomb though
What about “never ever forget to pack a loo roll”?
Where is Matt Stephens when we need him?
Eh, mushroom are just fine cooking raw in an oven, they just need to be cut thin just as they do in pizzeria.
You can tell that they are totally in a different level when they are at their talking speed and everyone is they passed by is suffering in the climb…
Ignore the people moaning about the old team. You all did a great job and welcome
Nice to see that someone will finally be able to move those heavy boxes on the GCN crew
Emma bobbing around in the back she’s taking it too easy on those two
Colour grading just a tiny bit too much for this video guys, it looks a bit too glorified
Owning a blue yeti, I can attest to the annoying mouse farts I need to cut out of my audio…
Had the pleasure of riding with Chris in the Peak District last week great guy.
Consumed an energy supplement suggested by a fellow rider, which I’d never had before. 15miles in and I had the shits!
Big sportiv for me this Sunday: Tannheimer Radmarathon (220km, with 3200m climbing). Eating and hydrating (water & nutrients) regularly & sufficiently is key for me. Thanks for the timely reminder guys ;-))
Hello! You mentioned about eating before and during the ride but forgot about hydration By personal experience, NOT FUN AT ALL skip oasis and then get cramps in muscles you never knew that the body can contracts
I were going to ask ‘who is that wheelsucker at 2:44’,but then i saw it was Emma later on
The first one is wrong, you need to take account the culture of the group. Being early and on time is a mistake when the group arrive 1-2 hours later because that what they usually do
I use cast iron pan heat on stove for minute or two before putting in the oven, given me good crest all the time. Putting <30 seconds in broil at the end is good as well. Pizza stone and other recommendations are expensive and overrated in my opinion. I use pizza stone as heat shield now, that is the sole purpose now. Lot of videos out there but time is your friend when baking. Keeping thing simple always worked well for me. Thought will share my backing experience.
how ironic… because your microphone is absolutely terrible
on my first whistler fondo last fall i blew my legs up before the real climbing started in squamish. it was a tough few hours after that. record time to squamish, boat anchors for legs to whistler…
Eating too little, starting too fast, and annoying myself at the mamil’s taking it too seriously (seriously, why aim at 40km/h avg speed on a 160k hilly sportive?)
Dress right. I took the wrong turn on my first ride! The staff directed me to do it thinking I was some random rider.. ended up having to climb a mile back!
Hello. Thanks for highlighting all my mistakes as i go into my 9th etape in Annecy. However you forgot one which I made in 2013 in Annecy -Sermoz. The sun was out so I put on plenty of sun bloke/cream. At 107km at the foot of Sermoz i abandoned because the sun cream had got into my eyes and I was virtualy blind. Wonder what will happen this year. Still learning…
First gcn video that i’ve watched in a while. Are the old guys gone?
Well Messi
1. always looks down
2.go for. Glory
3.hides between defenders
Then how he is still a GOAT.?
1. Arrive early not just to park and get yourself and your bike ready without rushing, but also SIGN IN can take ages.
2. Personally I benefit from drinking more sports drink and eating less than many fuelling guides suggest. My first sportive, I ate a small solid or had a gel every 45 minutes but didn’t drink quiet enough, and felt like I was going to vomit. Second sportive, I ate a solid or gel on the hour, and drank more. I didn’t bonk, nor did I feel queasy.
3. Enjoy it! You’ll form small groups throughout the day with riders of your pace, so be friendly, have a chat and help each other take turns at the front so everybody gets a rest.
I remember this was the first video I watched on this channel. Now I’m always watching you. It really help me improve. Thanks allot
Climbing on those Vision Metron 80s must be impossible for normal people
Lay down on the bed two hours early the night before and try not to pack yourself with extra food than what you usually eat, except fruit. That is one of my preparation each year for a 420km back to back event.
I hate players that look down and selfish I’ll have a stroke if their on my team
are those guys track sprinters? lloyd would fit 4 times in each of those guys
Did my first sportive last Sunday. Got given a free entry 2 days before so no training and the furthest I’d ridden before was 75 miles but I got round the 125 miles ok. Smashed it a few times, struggled a few and just enjoyed it.
My biggest mistake for overseas trip ride not enough water & snack, now automatically bring 3L hydration bag with a lot of snack lol
If you use a paper map, make sure to put it in a plastic baggy. Sweat or rain can make a paper map in a jersey pocket hard to read
2 new GCN MEMBERS SO WHO ELSE LEFT?
Make sure you take food and gels etc that you can stomach and have well tested before. Especially don’t rely on the feed stops apart from for water. I was short on bars and got the wrong clif bar flavour during the Lake Taupo Challenge, and just the chocolate smell of it had me dry-wretch. I was desperate for a banana or a piece of fruit, but only the one flavour of clif bar was provided. Lack of glucose made me cramp pretty hard after about 120k.
Oh my sportive history is fairly shocking 50km on a mountain bike that weighs 18kg kept up with the fast boys for 10 km feed station was at 20km.first 20 km pan flat. Got to feed station only bananas left.then the fun started there was a total re group of the pack 600 approx and there was a slight drag for 15 km i blow up as soon as it restarted and was dropped to the very rear the medic were behind me last on road i was i had only one water bottle i had no food reserves did no training and the bike was a tractor of a yolk 4 hrs 50km.this was 10 years ago still have that bike i retired for sportives for 8 years and went out and bought a gaint road bike at the good old age of 37 for a work collegue whos sister died of cancer that was 85 km my back went after 30km and blow up as well only for a few peds i wouldnt of finished 4hrs 85km but my worst sportive was rebel tour last year intended to do 160km as i had sucessful ring of kerry 8hrs 15mins.but rebel tour weather was shocking head winds gail force wind and driving rain and didnt have proper clothing and i did my hernia the same day.now year on went from 86 kg to 75 kg over winter training concented on climbing had 2 good 85km sportives this year things do improve and ring of kerry in 9 days time.lol what can go wrong this time
I miss the old announcers…. their chemistry was spot on….
Took off front wheel when packing bike in the car and drove 120 miles to find out I was going to have to unicycle the whole thing..
Love how the channel needed 2 new presenters to replace 1 matt Stevens……….
I always forget James is a model, I mean a cyclist. But he’s cool! I like him
Got my first sportive this Saturday, video couldn’t have been more timely!
Trying a new, spicy dish for takeaway the night before. Not only spent the whole night in the toilet, but actually landed severely dehydrated at start of an event. Pain.
Every time I perform a skill when a defender approaches i fail. Its so embarrassing.
Have any tips on that?
Bro u should try speaking differently..I love your content by your accent is irritating
It’s not that I’m selfish, my teammates can’t keep the ball only when the ball is on my foot it’s more safety
THANKS A LOT FOR IT. CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON HOW TO GET SUCCESS IN TRIALS. PLEASE.
i am a good player but i make one of these mistakes is that i am afraid when i have the ball and i hide can someone help me
Hi unisport,I love soccer so much and I’m so good, its just that I play in a different team now,and I’m not comfortable.Im not relaxed, and I don’t have confidence which just ruins my inner self,i just need your help and guidance,im just suffering right now I’m 15 years and all I’m trying to do is become myself again.i need help from you guys
At my first event I started right in the back of the bunch and took my time till the first climb, where I took over 30 to 40 people (there were only 280 contestants) without much of an effort. For the next 70km I almost rode on my own without a group. The next climb, the hardest, I also took over about 40 riders. Then 40 km flat in a small group of 4 and on the last climb again taking over 10 to 20 riders. On the last descend I missed a turn and went wrong for 1km. Had to climb up again, but somehow I still had lots of energy left. Finished 165 out of 280. I think I could have done better, if I went faster on the first climb and started further in the front. Still much to learn..
Race stats: 150km 2500hm 3 climbs
i think you missed most important part to think every time (without the ball or with the ball)
0:12 why did you put that video?thats the moment when fans are being racist to balotelli
Hey linda, how are you. Did you follow anas finishing school?
im 12 but if I will become a footballer i will give the credit to unisport.
I only missed the start of a sportive once, and that’s because my car exploded. However, after a lucky fix from a nearby mechanic, we got to the start in time for the second lap of the 2-lap sportive.
It’s a pity we managed to get lost on that lap though. Something something asleep on the bars…
You are so beautiful! I absolutely love your accessories, you look like a doll!
but your temmates are not helping and you have to past the hole defence waht do you do beacuse your temmates are scared to touch the ball
Good pizza doesn’t have to be so complicated! Everything with cheese dough and garlic will taste good.
I felt the part when he said don’t always make the killer pass
Blair follows trends, but she is so original, her style is like no one elses. I adore elegance and classic, classy type of clothing, but lets be honest, that perfect, ladylike outfits do not let our creativity out, so it is sometimes fun to wear some quirky, original and different outfits. And just like Blair you can be trendy, quirky and original but at the same time so feminine and beautiful. I think she is the perfect combination of feminine, elegant, original and trendy.
The fact that I’m watching this clip is already made me an average player, dude.
I hide from The players not because I’m scared, not that I do not attack but sometimes I like to go in silent but deadly
I have a problem with not looking up, and I get really nervous and pressured so when I get the ball, instead of dribbling with it I boot it
Summary <3
1. Wearing flashy logos (like a big necklace with a big Chanel or Gucci logo)
2. Wearing gym clothes outside of the gym (don’t wear leggings as pants)
3. Wearing super trendy items (instead look for pieces that will last for years, not trends that will be forgotten)
4. Over accessorise
5. Wearing too revealing clothes (there’s nothing wrong with wearing sexy clothes but keep it balanced, not OVER sexy)
6. Wearing clothes that don’t fit properly
I think there is this problem were u r forced to play a long pass or short pass with a weak foot. May you help me one what to do if I’m forced into a situation like this. I’m not good with my left
I am not average I got good curve insane dribbles and bad at crossing and good at passes out of 10 how good am i
From what I learned from Kuroko No Basket not directing attention to yourself could make you an assisting god and you are able to use misdirection
Great dribblers look at the ball all the time. Watch messi vids dribbling. He looks up when its clear but when theres a bunch of defenders hes looking at the ball to see where he can feint.
1)Always face the ball, and/or check your shoulder constantly.
2) Protect/shield the ball as much as possible whenever passing/receiving in tight spaces.
3) Get over your mistakes immediately; even at the pro level; I often see players throw their hands up or punch the air or fail to get back onside whenever a play doesn’t work out; only to miss a subsequent oppurtunity due to the fact that they were too busy crying about the last one failing. The best players in the world are able to forgive themselves immediately.
I thought that this was gonna be one those videos where it’s all about training enough so you don’t get injured in a game
Unisport, how to be calm and composured on a game??anyone plz reply
One of the biggest mistakes is always playing the long balls, even if you have some teammates around you.
I really thought he said, ‘since i started getting really serious with cocaine, years ago’. Ignore me….
This is a Video for beginners not for average players… but still very enjoyable!
girl you are literally so gorgeous!
watching from australia
Ok, but where did you get that top??
Also you are stunning!!!!
Awe! Why do we even have options for people to not like something on social media? I say this in reference to people not liking your pizza you posted. No response is a strong statement! If someone does not respond…I know they don’t agree with a post. Is it not better to only see a few likes and not read negativity? Too much nastiness in the world as it is! Just my opinionwe ALL have one…(opinions). I think your content on your videos are well worth the watch! Kind Regards, Mrs. Torres
Great video good points and fun format. Wish I could have one of those apple strudels…:p
as a centerback almost none of these applied to me so i must be above average
I always shout and make runs, yet I still barely touch the ball. Last year I got MORE assists than than the rest of my TEAM PUT TOGETHER
I think one of the big mistakes, is missing the opportunity to go for a challenge, you see the guy has nowhere to go, had no passes available and you got a teammate surrounding him or next to you ready to pressure. go for it! he will mess up! make a wrong pass, dribble the ball away, and either you or your teammate will end up with the ball.
Don’t shoot when you’re close to the corner line with no angle! You will almost ALWAYS have a better result by passing to a player with a better angle.
was lucky enough to ride the maratona last year once in a lifetime and the only advice I would have is look up enjoy the view, looking at the tarmac just in front of your wheel you might as well stay at home!
I’m fine with not looking down
Looking back
Is where the problems are
Teammate: pass it home! Pass it home!
Me: I can’t SeE HoME!!!
But my most Strength in Football is my Blind Defending and Hiding. But in a good way
Lmao this foreign lad is the realest and the funniest fitness YTer I’ve seen
For short taking i have to look down at the boll since greater distance else i am feeling sprawled cause suddenly change in focus object ( from boll to goalpost) is playing some brain signal and reflex disorder for the doable work to be done from
I would say a common mistake/shortcoming is playing very obvious passes and having no deception. Usually this is what makes an opposition press successfulplaying too obvious and not breaking a charging player’s momentum.
The only problem with me is that I dribble a lot and I always look down while dribbling. How can I improve or change this bad habit?
Does Another person find her French accent very bougaise”)..lol cool…
What works for me to make it crispy my kids love like that is I precook de dough for a couple of minutes with only the sauce then take it out and add the toopings when it goes back in it definitly improves how crispy it gets…
Boxing for 4 years, I have like the opposite problem, my legs and core are super worked out and fit, and my arms are super small
Bro I’ve tried,
it turned out exactly
same measurements
same technique
I don’t know if this is a good advice, let me know what you guys think. I’ve also been doing pizza for years now and we recently built a pizza brick oven (which is very exciting). But in order to get that charred crust on the bottom, what I do is that I blind bake the pizza for a couple of minutes (2 minutes) at the most, without the toppings and then pop it back in the oven (with the toppings) and let if finish cooking. I noticed I get a crispier crust, with those beautiful charred spots at the bottom. I know this works especially well if you’re doing it in an oven at home.
What would you want to do if you wanted the dough to be a little fluffier after cooking for something like a cheese bread?
Get a scale and measure ingredients by weight, not volumetrically, especially the water and flour. Pizza sauce is virtually never cooked (and usually has some oregano). I love the Cento crushed; they are high quality, available most places, and they aren’t watery. The top of your pizza looks good, but the bottom appears undercooked. I used to do all kinds of oven dances with the broiler and a stone plus a steel on different racks to get the bottom and top to brown equally, but I’ve had good results recently by lowering the temperature to 475-500F, and just using the steel in the middle of the oven. I also have a very thick steel like yours and it transfers a ton of heat to the bottom very fast before everything else has cooked if the oven is at full tilt at 550F+, so much so that I’ve considered going to a 1/4 inch one.
The video should be renamed 15 mistakes I did while making pizza.
Awesome video and channel! Have you tried those steel non-stick pans with the holes in them?
Totally connect with your thoughts while making and baking a pizza . Love your channel!!
Been making naopolitan pizza for quite a time now. And when i make 4 pizzas i use fresh yeast and aroud 0.35gram of it.rising from 18-36 hours mostly. Important to use a flour for the pizza your making by checking the W strenght of it. You can use the PizzaApp and calculate everything you want easily and it makes a damn good pizza!
the only wine you need for italian food is: Primitvoespecially from regio di puglia
Show more pics and for longer, makes the video more fun to watch
why cook the sauce? it cooks in the oven…..just chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil and italian seasoning…
Question. Once you have made the dough and you keep it in the fridge how long can it stay in the fridge for? Like if I made 4 like you can I have 1 a day? Will the dough stay fresh? Thanks
On Mistake #2, we should have said you shouldn’t pass to players who CLEARLY are not in a good position to receive the ball. You CAN pass the ball to someone under pressure if they’re ready to hold up the ball, touch it back, or play a one-two.
I’m sorry… are you human? I’m straight but i could stare at you the whole day.
You are very beautiful.
Tip 16: First the souce, ten the cheese, then the topics.
Reason: If the cheese covers the topings, the topings won’t get crusty. With topings in top you can also skip the precooking of the topings.
if you would like to learn how to use futsal to develop soccer players, check out your Youtube Channel. Original videos showing the transfer of content.
You always look so elegant and beautiful and also have a kind heart:)
a few things I do differently, but boy, looks absolutely amazing. My oven just won’t go over 300 Celsius. But hey, I won’t make a pizza equal to some nice Italian place but I have certainly paid for worse pizzas then my homemade.
It’s crazy how I follow so many fitness channels but just found yours now
We have a podcast called “the hellfire club” on my channel where we discuss topical, political, and other general issues that we find to be entertaining. If anyone also has an amateur podcast comment on my channel and ill come and support you (or reply in the comments) im trying to build a friendship with other podcasters
Hey, any idea how much water is used in the beginning to start the dough??
So, I tried this mix more or less, the oil, chilli and garlic one, but it’s started bubbling, which doesn’t seem safe, any ideas, I mean, I definitely don’t think it’s worth the risk anymore. Did I mess something up
This was such a fantastic video! I literally just followed your steps (I used a bit of marinara sauce for my pizza sauce ) and it was SOOOOOOOOO good! I made this in India with all ingredients easily available and everyone loved it!! Thanks so much, getting this right put a feather on my cap and I owe it to you!
Hey man! Great video, im just starting my cooking journey and this was really interesting and helpful.
One thing I might add, 18:44, I learned recently that you should never cook basil as it loses all its flavor by being cooked, this is the reason why pestos never cooked, and was demonstrated well by this youtuber’s video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21zsjzFKOrI Adding at the end should help. Thanks again for the advice man, good luck on your food journey as well!
If you make this shit after having 10 years of pizza making experience, you Sir better may as well stop making anything at all!
Really enjoyed this episode. Dont wait till the very END to plug your guest / promotions!
Regarding intros, I typically just get right into the discussion, but add an intro during post. I find big intros to be a bit distracting and clunky.
I do like the Jimmy Fallon example though. Be quick and clear, don’t drone ok for 2 minutes!
This entire channel is for ameaturs literally no ”advanced” players do these
Discovered the channel last week. I’m addicted, man. so much to learn!!
So much work for one pizza. It shows how much passionate you are about cooking and baking❤❤
Very important and helpful information about pizza.
The way you explain yo us it’s very understandable.
God bless you
Perfect if you’re going for a gourmet looking pizza. This is a presentation pizza, doesn’t look tasty at all.
God loves you!!!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ Today is the day of Salvation: Why would anyone put off the most important decision they could ever make in their lives concerning eternal life? If you die today are you going to heaven? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 The apostle Paul tells us what the gospel is: “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Gospel means “good news.” Your debt has been paid, the death penalty has been paid, you are free. Here’s the Gospel of Jesus Christ: That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Jesus brought in a little child as a living object lesson to show who enters the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 Jesus said: “Unless you become like this little child you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.” This is how to be saved, it is simply child like, as simple as ABC: A Admit that you are a sinner. This is where that godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against a righteous God and there is a change of heart, we change our mind and God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out. Romans 3:10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:23 -For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (We are all born sinners which is why we must be born spiritually in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven). Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The bad news is that the wages of sin is death, in other words our sin means that we have been given a death sentence, we have the death penalty hanging over our heads, that’s the bad news. But here’s the good news: The good news is that the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
B Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Jesus from the dead. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was. Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. C Call upon the name of the Lord. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Romans 14:11 For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” Don’t wait until later — do this now. Romans 10:13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” “O God, I am a sinner. I’m sorry for my sin. I want to turn from my sin. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son; I believe that He died on the cross for my sin and that He was buried and You raised Him to life. I have decided to place my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior, trusting only in His shed blood as sufficient to save my soul and to take me to heaven. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen.”
We love watching your experiments in the kitchen. Can you tell us why a pizza dough might turn out tough without a sheen you’d normally see after kneading?
First, so glad I didn’t see you use a rolling pin again. Congrats on starting to learn to slap dough.
When I see pizzas with big burnt bubbles I think that the cooks either don’t know what they are doing or I’m in a hipster joint that thinks it looks cool. Bubbles have always been the enemy of a good pizza for two big reasons. One they create a high surface area on the crust which as you know burns, and two because they displace toppings creating big bites of air.
For those like me that want to get rid of these bubbles the easiest thing to do is pat them down better. When you get to the step of patting and shaping go all the way to the end and get rid of all the bubbles you can. Then create your crust and stretch our dough. You can also check your oven every few minutes and pop the bubbles as they form. Of course for those who like them, don’t change a thing.
Spinach doesn’t end with a “g”. It’s not spinnedge, it’s spinach… with an itch:-). Nice vid, thank you. I can almost feel that dough, We need to come up with a sensuous word to describe dough that’s ‘just right’.
I have also a pizza stone but when I am lazy I just use backing paper put the dough on there and some tomato sauce, put it like 1 to 2 mins on the bottom of the oven don’t let it burn It will give a nice hot bubble on the dough. After that I take it out and put the rest of the toppings on there and put it back in the middle of the oven for around 2 to 3 mins. Depending the toppings. It will always give perfect pizza.
I like the flow and format of this episode. Looks like GCN is starting to experiment a bit with topic transitions.:)
I love the education and passion in this video! Glad to see it, I really believe everything you’re telling me
I am talking total gaming pease give me cubid scar gun in free fire
I agree completely agree with the logos.. I just feel like I can’t be elegant because I LOVE colours!
Please note that the rest of the world doesn’t use cups to weigh out flour, so in future weigh out quantities properly.
Me: I need to get a condenser microphone
Michael: A condenser microphone is very hard to live with because it can hear a mouse fart in the next county, you need a dynamic microphone!
Thank you for the solid advise Mr O’Neal.
ngl but number 5 its quite stupid if you did that, you will only train a muscle group 3x a month.
btw no hate, your are the realest youtuber, for real.
For the amount of time invested here is not my cup of tea, for me time is money and I would rather prefer to buy it from store as I usually eat pizza twice a month. Kudos to the chef for his efforts.
For NYC style pizza don’t cook your tomatoes, apply the crushed tomatoes directly to the dough. You’re welcome.
Can I use fresh tomatoes for sauce because in India it’s very hard get these caned tomatoes
Bom dia! Sou do Brazil e não falo inglês muito bem, poderia ativar as legendas?
i cant get one thing right: fresh mozzarella always gives me a pizza with residue water on the top. i tried to squezze the mozzarella slices on kitchen paper before adding to the pizza and no much difference…what is the trick?
Open to advice from someone who has more experience…but 24 minutes long? So much of what he is saying is redundant. Why is he making comparisons with sandwiches and poor quality bread? Why is he saying that most people are afraid to crank their ovens to the maximum temperature? Just say the temperature and move on. If you have a point to make, then make it, don’t add all this extra fluff. I swear, too many people love the sound of their own voice.
great info, the irony is some of my favorite podcast break these rules
Worst part about selfish teamates is that they do mistakes and never pass but when you make a mistake its the bigest problem in the world
When I was in Sorrento i had the most amazing pizza.
Afterwards I was sad as I knew I would never be able to replicate it.
Maybe when someone snuff’s it and I’m left some cash i may get a wood fired oven in my garden
I completely understand your enthusiasm with Pizza. Who cares how many days it takes.
I am always trying different methods and trying different ingredients which I have found makes a big difference. My family love my Pizza’s but I can see the need for improvement.
I love the iron plate idea and I take on board the need for a quicker cooking time to retain moisture. Thanks for a great video.
Ps. The pizza looks amazing
I made my first pizza recently, ended up creating sourdough by adding too much yeast and didn’t knead it properly to begin with, could not get it to the point of stretching thin for the life of me so I just said fuck it and left it to rise hoping it would get better. It did, sort of, but also took on a weird gamey smell when cooked and the crust was inedible. The rest was surprisingly really good though, I made a good sauce with fresh oregano and a bit of sugar to get rid of the acidity and got some good pepperoni, I can’t afford proper mozzarella and the cheap stuff has no flavor so I decided to get marble instead and sprinkled a little parmesan on it, worked perfectly. The sourdough was actually great too when it has toppings on it, overall a great first time experience, I’ve learned it’s very difficult to make pizza that tastes bad as long as it has taste at all, Pizza Hut is an example of not having taste and being a bad pizza for it
Want to train like the pro’s but you don’t know were or how to start?
keep in shape and train like a pro athlete:

everyone says im to nice because i can get past 4 players but i pass the ball and everyone gets mad
I tried pizza setting in bosch oven but it didnt work. Top burnt and crust was underdone
“Give your topping a little love”. Excellent advice! BUT, you burnt your basil in the first attempt and the greens look dead and unappetizing. In the second attempt you left out the basil, from what I can see, and the pizza lacks the green color. Your mozzarella looks great on both pizzas. Add the basil 1-2 minutes before your pizza is done. That way it will stay fresh, green and not raw.
Here’s a question you might’ve even hear too often. Why don’t any of the oresenters wear gloves. I couldn’t go out without then
If mother nature was a person, THAT would be YOU!
God, black women are beautiful!!!!!!
1 Reduce yeast to slow down fermentation.
2 Add sugar to speed up fermentation
Genius.
Please! don’t me a carbon copy find your own voice…just stop trying to be an Anne Bey.

You love too much oil!! And the pocress is so long..anyway its your pizza. The second pizza is burned.

I love how soothing your voice is. So much feminine energy from just the tone of your delicate voice.
These are mistakes that even experienced riders often make. Good advice in this video for not only your first event, but for every sportive.
Generally good tips but I’m not sure about a few things. Always measure by weight, not volume, regardless of any adjustments you make later. You need a stable starting point for maximum consistency. Use bread flour, not all purpose. The difference is significant when you use a higher protein/gluten flour. Also, absolutely no need to heat your sauce. Keep it simple. The best canned tomatoes (e.g. San Marzano) with a bit of EVOO and a dash of Italian spices. Hand blender quickly and that’s it. Having said this, your pizza does look pretty good! Cheers.
