The alternatives are good.. say I run about 8km in an hour.. how do I equipoise the alternatives.. cause reducing the intensity of the burn may not help the switch in regime????

I have a way to burn fat calories. Say you have a weight lifting routine of about 10-12 exercises. Instead of resting 15-30 between reps and a minute between exercises try this; do 1 set of all your exercises one after the other with no rest. After you’ve done 1 set of all 10-12 exercises with no rest between them, rest for 1-2 minutes then do it again until you’ve done 3 sets of all your exercises. You can lower the weights by 10% for each round. If you do that, that amount of time is enough rest. When you’re done, your muscles are swollen like crazy like pretty much all other time you workout but your heart rate will be through the roof. Oh! If you vomit afterwards, that should stop after a week or two of doing this bad ASS method of doing your normal weight lifting routine. This exercise routine/method can prevent plateaus, get your body out of plateaus and build muscle and burn a lot more calories/fat, etc. at an astonishing rate. Rest 30 minutes then eat/drink high protein drinks or foods to feed your muscles and fat stores. You have to wait 30 minutes so you won’t vomit again but conversely you have to eat high calories of mostly protein with some fat because your heart rate/metabolism are going crazy and you blood is flowing fast and your veins and arteries are dilated so eating many calories made of mostly protein, to feed your muscles, and fats to go to your fat stores so your body can use THAT for energy instead of protein.
This is not needed nor does it work to do body building, but to lose a lot of fat and build definition quick, this will work wonders.
As long as you stick with it until your body gets used to that much shock to the body to stop vomiting during or pretty soon after this super high intensity workout. It takes a lot less time to do than your normal routine but works at least twice as good. Plus, since it’s a relatively short workout, you can do it in the morning and the evening. Just make sure you ride a bike or do something to get your heart rate UP before you do this(warmup) and do something to do a slow cool down afterwards. If not, you’ll cramp in the morning and possibly wind up with muscle spasms during the night or when you wake up. That will include back spasms. If done right, this method is wicked good. Twice a day, three day/nights a week. Two days a week either do your normal routine in the morning OR use light weights and lift them until your form fails. You don’t want to injure yourself. You’ll be sore enough by the end of the week. You’re constantly shocking your muscles and working them at different paces during the week which means constant gains and no Plautus. Then, rest during the weekend, except maybe those occasional 12-15 pushups throughout the weekend.
Once a month use heavy weights for 10-12 reps or until your form goes bad and then once the next month use light weights and lift till your form gets bad. (Lifting to failure)
Your body and especially you muscles won’t know what the hell is going on. You’ll also find you can either do more reps or use heavier weights(at 10% increments). You’ll get 2-3 times the results in half the time of your normal routine. It’s full body weight resistance and heavy cardio all in one!
Seriously, it can be done. You may need to adjust what you eat/drink, when and how much because you WILL get tired at first. But, your body will get used to the strains it your muscles wont, thus constant grow, fat loss and no plateaus!
Do it for 3 months then check your body out. You’ll see what I mean.
BUT BE CAREFUL. Really concentrate on your individual exercises and your form. You can get badly hurt if you don’t with this workout method. If you ARE focused and careful, you’ll shit as to how much better you’re growing, feeling and the big increase in your metabolism and your stamina. And like “The Big Hurt says, “She’ll like it too!
Could you do some more alternatives? I used to run, I got to be about 45lb overweight but could still run because my joints were strong from my athleticism when I was a teenager. However I got in an accident that messed up my ankle. 2 years later its strong enough to walk on. I gained about 15lb during the healing process. My ankle just isn’t strong enough to handle the extra strain and forced bad posture a gut causes.

Using the leg extension to do hip raises is a great tip. Harebell hip thrusts are a great exercise but I have difficulties getting comfortable

Think this is too advanced for many guys… Myself included. I can do about 10-12 chin ups in my one set. 25 chin ups in 60 sec is too much. I will go for a scaled down version of this workout. May be go for 15 of each instead of 25.

Where is the jump at the end of the burpee? That’s how you are supposed to do it.
cardio does not burn muscle unless used in a ridiculous amount such as running a marathon a day or something to that effect. What burns muscle is doing a lot of cardio and not getting enough calories. High intensity cardio is no doubt beneficial, but say for example going for a 30-40 minutes jog is not going to burn off muscle unless you are not eating enough.
All these exercises look so good and helpful, but then I try them at the gym and I feel awkward and that im not doing it right so I refer back to this video lol

Hi Brad, quick question about the DB push press and BB push press. The DB variation starts with the DBs down in more of a deadlift position whereas the BB variation starts with the bar at hip level. Is this correct?

Nope. If you want good cardio, go get a bike. Riding up a hill for even short periods of time will leave you breathless.

When doing the last exercise (7. Standing abduction (cable machine)) I feel much more tension in my resting leg than in the working leg.. Especially when the working leg is on my weak side, then it feels like the resting leg “takes over”. Any tips on how to alternate the exercise?:)

I’ve been following him for a while now and you’d be surprised at what a 5 minute work out can do for you. You should try his first hurricane head rush. That will get your cardio up, worked for me.
Doing this for only 5 min everyday won’t really get me good cardio will it?

I found the whole thing was a bit rushed through. Even the small stretching exercises in the middle were just passing throughout without really taking the time to properly make the movement. Otherwise, pretty good
Best home training ever. I’ve done this three times a week just for two weeks and my partner recognised it first that my hips are lifted!!!!! Now I’m not going back to the gym and will just follow the ladies here. Thank you so much and love you guys!!

Yeah, I jumped at the top of the burpees when I did this workout. Really had my quads burning.
Love the second exercise looks like its great for the glutei, hamstring and hips. You are perfection and grace.
You should probably do this as at the start of your chest (push) day exercises. The next day will either be an off day, or a back (pull) day, allowing time for your chest to recover.
The first exercise is quad dominant and the third one is quad dominant…. then I stopped watching. I feel sorry women who get their advice and help from channels like this. There’s so much good info out there.

I absolutely love your videos!! I was wondering if you ever considered showing us how to set up equipment for some of the more unusual exercises like the Smith machine hip thrust? I’m always at the gym moving and adjusting equipment, trying it out and then moving it some more. Are there any tips and tricks to doing this?

I tryied today on the gym and I didnt do so much about it because I felts only my thights working and not my butt burning as a “normal” hip trust on the floor with a bar and having something under the shoulders blades. I found I disliked this video. I do a lot of other Popsugar Fitness videos and I really love them….hip hop tabata, kickboxing, other barre workouts….willing to give everything a try. I find she moves through too many things too quickly to be effective on any muscle group for any period of time. I just ended up unfulfilled and giving up 30 minutes in.
I just now discovered you and loving the way you teaching us how to do things correctly. I am going to try a lot of the workouts you have set out. Already did the chest one I loved it!!

For years I have tried to get my cardio better, and it doesn’t work for me. I do heavy lifting at the gym and that’s going great, but my cardio is terrible. I have tried helping my cardio more than anything, and it doesn’t work. No matter what I do I cannot get my cardio better. Any help?

My local gym is always crowded… and I really don’t have the courage to work out by myself… so I only go to the body pump class to get overall body strength work out. And I would do 30min cardio as well. Are these exercise enough to have a nice body? ;/
Everyone complaining how they cannot do it and how this isn’t a beginner workout. OF COURSE IT’S NOT A BEGINNER WORKOUT. OF COURSE YOU CANNOT DO 25 FREAKING CHIN UPS. The goal here isn’t to do 25 chin ups from the start, it’s to reach 25 chin ups in that one minute period. Its your goal, not your starting point. Your starting point should be your max chin ups, and slowly and steady you should build it up…. Goddamn it do I have to explain this to grown ups?!

Hey! Your channel is really cool. I liked this video, I do kinda the same exercices but about the sixth one I don’t really think it’s a good position for the feet cause that’s a lot of pression on it.. for sure hiptrust IS a good one but for me better to have the knees and feet on the same line.
Don’t know if it makes sense (i’m a french personal trainer ).
Plus, that’s good to work on the hamstrings in the same time and u feel it more when the feet are further…

LOL, that is pretty genius. In fact, that’s great for high intensity sports training for sprint and football practice at home and indoor. I am hyperventilating just watching because I am one of those people struggle to exercise. For lighter hearted in door exercise, how does jump rope and hula hoops sounds?

Hey this might seem like a silly question but i compete in bjj and im about to start a clean bulk and honestly scared shittless of losing my endurance becuase of my recent discover that muscles do require more oxygen and i honestly could fight a person twice my size for hours and dont want to lose those abilities while bulking affect to endurance that much?

Today was my second day putting weights on the Smith Machine; only 10 lbs, but my form was great and I could do it. YAY ME!!!
Not a fan of the FFW. Otherwise great video. However I am not able to do even one of those 5 sets with extended time limit. Go figure.
this is just for cardio that’s why it’s a challenge like workout, u can always do full chin ups in ur main workout…
I like everything Jeff says except that his program can be used by anyone even beginners… i find almost every excercise taught is extremely advanced even in the paid for program. Still awesome to reference but if you need variations to help build a foundation, ur gonna need to do ur own reaearch

Trying to switch up my routine this year. I have always stayed away from the stair climber because I don’t want a bigger but or thighs! I like to keep them small. What’s your thoughts on doing HIIT on the stair climber? You think it Will make a woman’s inner and outter thighs and butt bigger? Because I do not want that at all! I am pretty lean but with great muscle tone and tend to build muscle easily.
Is this meant as a circuit routine. Hope I used that term correctly:)
