Have had success with macrobiotic fast brown rice every day for week. Neither yin nor yang. Veggies is not true. They bloat u and don’t work well with everything that’s going on in ur body during your fast. Drink bone broth and DONT have veggies until about two hours after breaking your fast. Also, this video should be taken down, really bad advice.

I”ve done many 24, 36 and 48 hour fast and always ended them with a good healthy MEAL. Some say to drink bone broth. NO WAY. I never gave any thought to what to ended it with. JUst finished a 48 hr fast and ended it with vegan jambalya with vegan sausage and a large salad with vegan ranch dressing. No adverse effects at all.

Every other resource based on extensive research has told me that if it’s a longer fast (3 days, for instance), it’s not a good idea to start with raw veggies as they are more difficult to digest. Cooked veggies or even broth seems to be a better option.
I’m wondering if this video and the research it’s based on is outdated?
If you eat a small amount of fruit combined with the vegetables, should be fine. Just eat a small volume of everything, especially if the fasting period is atleast 5 7 days.

I noticed that she stopped fasting later I no longer like sauces, I have to go for really low salt or no dressings. I fast to facilitate muscle growth. It can be beneficial but salty foods now taste very salty, use less than normal. Good luck on your goals.

Just broke a 4 day water fast 2 days ago. Drank a cup of bone broth and ate boiled eggs an hour later. However, I think I made a mistake of eating boiled potatoes the day after I broke my fast.
