As a soldier who only has two pairs of PTs rolling around in the grass doing PT every morning and sweating from head to toe, I think I might buy this (as well as two more pairs of PTs) also we only have two washers and 2 hours for the entire floor of like 32 people.
Haven’t read your ebook yet, you probably mentioned something about
using chlorine bleaches and hydrogen peroxide. in certain cases it is
okay to use bleach additives for brightening dress shirts or
something you haven’t worn in a while. The thing about using bleach is
if you use it make sure you get rid of it, If you can still smell
the chlorine bleach after a good wash and rinse that means it is still
on the article of clothing so you may have to rewash without
bleach…..Bleach over time weakens fibers at an accelerate rate. so use
it sparingly
Wicked awesome! My mover stored my clothes in a warehouse on a pier above water. For the clothes I did not place in suit bags, I have a lot of work to do to get rid of the funky smell. You just made my life a lot easier. Thanks much!
I’ve used vinegar, baking soda, lysol laundry disinfectant, lemon juice, other fancy detergents to destroy odor causing bacteria and nothing! I’m going to wash them in the all purifying holy fire… If that doesn’t work… Maybe I’ll bathe in the fires of hell.
Airing out your jeans is usually enough to keep them smelling nice. Note though, that this is proper jeans, not the blends, which are made for hard work and to be durable.
And never toss your clothes in the dryer if you can help it I usually only dry my boxers and socks in the dryer, along with towels. Everything else is air-dried.
This vid is way too long, nobody has the time to waist on a vid that could be 30 sec long
Spot on advice Antonio. I learned about the pitfalls of overcleaning a garment the hard way when I was younger, completely prematurely aged it out of usefulness.
If the problem is that a garment smells bad, then couldn’t you just use some aromatic materials when storing it?
I had a brand new washer that only put a little water in it no matter how big the load so my clothes were not cleaned as good as the old machines would do. I wanted to exchange it but the sales lady said ALL the new machines were like that. I put up with it for 4 years and it finally went out on me! When I went to get another new one I was hoping that maybe they had gone back to water level choices on the machines and they did!! Sales person said so many people complained they changed it. My son came home from college and he likes to jog. He put his sweaty clothes in the hamper and didn’t tell me. Needless to say it stink up a lot of clothes. I have done baking soda with wash powder and it has helped but it’s still faintly there. Will try vinegar and baking soda to see it it will knock it out. If not I will be throwing these shirts away!
Thank you for this. What is the hottest temperature you’d use for coloured clothes?? (Which have gone yucky)
Preston…this is a game changer! Thanks for the tip. I tend to buy a lot of vintage blazers and sport jackets…this will save me a lot of money on dry cleaning. Keep up the good work, man.
Ok it’s not getting that impressive reviews on Amazon I’ll pass on this brand
But Funkaway looking promising
I’ve just started following your channel and am now diving into your archive. I’m a runner, I do so 3 times a week along with a day that I do elliptical for cross training. I didn’t think I’d learn anything with this video but I will try those tips, I sweat profusely so I do have the clothing stink issue. I hang dry my sports clothes (in the bathroom because I live in a condo) but when I want them dry fast, say because I washed them in the evening and need a set in the morning, I will toss them in the dryer for 30 mins before hanging them. Works quite well.
I feel like you dumped a cup of water on you for that “sweaty t-shirt” lmao
Did anybody else notice the sweat was shaped like a heart 0:49
All good comments so far.
deodorant not antiperspirant.
shirts & pants inside out and zippered, wear due to friction occurs on inside instead.
as little soap as hardness/softness of local water allows. Saves the fabric, the machine and money.
lowest dryer heat setting as possible, barely dry, not too long. Many delicates can be hung. Remove and hang immediately and may not have to iron.
PLEASE polish your shoes. Rotate them and let them sit out.
Question, if you do’nt use baking soda, will laundry smell like vinegar?
Deodorants.. its ridiculous, the money i spend on new shirts, because of deodorants:^(

I understand they smell fresh right out of the dryer, but how many days of usage do they smell fresh for? Like after the first shower do they start smelling again or after the second shower? Or do they stay fresh smelling until the next wash?
I just subscribe I was experimenting today….I washed my clothes today in apple cider vinegar…I use my tide and downy fabric softner…What I notice that the apple cider vinegar intensitify the smell of your fabric softner…I guess it’s because the apples in it…Can you do a video using apple cider vinegar thanks beautiful….

Spooky.
Dude, a two and a half minutes infomercial??? That’s a little too much imho. I love your channel and most of the content, but I feel like you’ve been abusing lately.
@Housewife Glam Life I have senstitive skin so I used TIDE Clear & Gentle Pods, Problem is several people like myself have received really bad odor from the TIDE Pods after pulling the clothes out of the dryer after using this product that it even stinks up my whole apartment and even stains some of my clothes to the point I would have to throw them out. I have nine loads of clothes like this! Any suggestions on removing this bad odor. I tried cleaning it twice with no results. “Help Me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re My Only Hope” lol
3:00 How-to instructions begin after excruciatingly long and mostly pointless intro.
If you’re not sweating which will make you smell you’re not working hard enough stay out the gym
Thank you for posting this. Real people dont do laundry everyday.
I recently bought two 100% used wool sweaters on ebay and washed them 2,3 times but wasn’t able to get the smell out:(. Do you think that alcohol would be able to help in this situation?
This hot chick in my gym walked by me and it smelled like sour feet
Can’t afford to waste that much water. Can you do something when you first wash them to eliminate odors? Like, perhaps, vinegar in with detergent, and then wash?
I go to the gym 5 times a week also doing cardio i always sweat like crazy and i never have this problem
Wrinkle Hack: If you are away from home and need to gently steam a garment without tools, you can hang it in the bathroom while you shower. When you step out, keep the garment in the bathroom on the hanger with the door closed. After an hour, many garments will relax and drop all but the most stubborn wrinkles. Gentle fluffing of the fabric during this process helps to expedite it. Not as good as a proper steamer or iron… but better than nothing.
use a razor (gently) to get ride of small lint balls on your clothing
My husband works construction and sometimes his clothes smell like oil or Diesel fuel. I use a cup of ammonia in with my detergent and it works great for taking out odors
Wonder if it would work if we just do one load with vinegar and baking soda together instead of doing it twice?
My clothes smells good once they are out of the washer but once I dry them gives it a funny smell! Why? help!
It’s an absolute shame that you have to make a video like this, to show people how and when to clean their clothing (sure you need to advertise your $ponsor). Didn’t your mother teach you anything?
it only makes sense to let your clothing, towels etc… hang dry after each use and to wash ASAP to prevent smells from forming.
What idiot puts their clothing in the freezer to prevent smelling vice simply washing? What you say to prevent fading? Didn’t you ever hear of clothing dye? When you get enough of the same color items i.e. black, or blue or green, you simply buy the corresponding clothing dye and your clothing is back to it’s original color once again.
that picture of a bottle of EVERCLEAR @ 4:46 brought back some nasty memories….
I have two questions!!! Number one: how can I deodorize my trash can and; number two: the area in my closet that houses my shoes isn’t the best smelling in the world. How can I get rid of the stink in my closet and in my shoes??
Thank you!!!
Jazzercise! Helped me lose 150 pounds! Thanks for the guidance on washing. My workout clothes!
Thank Antonio, I just found your channel and I’m enjoying the content.
What is your opinion on dry cleaning and ironing clothes? I agree with you that my shirt may not be dirty after one wear, but it’s hard to iron back in a crisp, clean look after it’s been worn.
Do you have a video on this topic you could point me to?
My gf doesn’t mind when I smell her gym clothes socks and nikes
The problem of using the Sun to kill the micro-organism is that it also reduce the life of your clothes.
I imagine if this guy were confronted on the street, he would first politely inform his aggressor that he will, if the occasion arises, engage in a rousing game of fisticuffs. After doing so, he would raise his clinched fists in front of and slightly above his head. He would then clearly announce “The Marquess of Queensberry rules”. After all, it must be a proper gentleman’s fight.
Biggest mistake for me has been getting suit pants dry cleaned but not the jacket. End result after a few cycles is faded pants that no longer match the jacket, a total write off.
Don’t soak for more than a 4 days i accidentally left mine for a week (because i have to go to summer house) and the odors get WORSE!
Its fine when after washing, after you use them for about 1 hour it will smells like wow
If you have a front loader washer, get rid of it and purchase a top loader with an agitator…problem solved…trust me because we did it! Front loaders suck! If no agitator, clothes just sit In the water with no cleaning movement.
Is alpha m still in contract with Barbara “I’m Out” Corcoran?

I do dancing twice a week at a studio!! Plus I have to work out almost everyday to insure I don’t get sore when I do. I also practice dance at least 4 days so i work out about a good 2-3 hours a day if possible!!

WOW, suddenly I have an urge to wash my clothes!! Great video.
HAVE YE HEARD OF THE LEGEND OF THE WASHING MACHINE, WET AND SPINNING AND LOOD TA THE EAR.
So I live in an apartment and my dryer isn’t very effective. Basically I have to run the dryer twice to fully dry my clothes. The dryer vents are clean and the apartment services it so it’s just an old dryer basically. Anyways instead of my drying twice on one load would you recommend taking out dress shirts that are mildly damp and just hanging them up kind of damp in the closet until they dry?
Just got here and YOU ARE A GENIUS! I’m subscribing
I have a part wool part leather jacket that is sporting some mold. How to rid smell and mold?
Have you done a video on how to get that nasty mold out of clothes?
I do pole dancing for fitness! I have built up a massive collection of pretty sports bras so this video was great for washing! Never thought to add vinegar to the rinse cycle, I always just tipped it into the bowl where the clothes go; will have to try this next wash!
ADD PINESOL TO YOUR WASH LOAD PLUS LAUNDRY SOAP AND DOWNY I LIKE GAIN
can you make a video explain more about the symbols on clothes. the car lables on the clothes now are all symbols and i dont understand how to read them.:(
I swim, actually. I have chronic pain issues and don’t get on well with impact exercise, so I just swim, a lot…I’ve gotten up to a mile as my personal best so far. It seems to exercise just about every muscle group! I also like gentle hiking when I can manage it, and fancy sweat-wicking gear is just perfect for that.:)
I wash my wool and cashmere by hand.
Your video covers pretty much everything but let me share my story. I had a RL Merino wool jumper and I washed by hand a few times (i would say 3-4 times, cold water only, I did not squeeze it and I dried in THE proper way) and it shrink.
I have no idea what I did wrong because I read articles about how to clean it…
I could not even wear it because it became so small 1.5 years later..
I still wash my wool and cashmere jumpers in the same way and I have not experienced the same problem…
Any tip or idea what I did wrong?
Hey Melissa great video! I have a question for you. I work at a restaurant so my work clothes always have a food smell to them. What do I do? Thanks for all your help!
Hey I’m 19 and a sales associate for golds gym. I want to dress better but we are in uniform for a black polo that has a golds gym logo. What are some little things I can do to step up my class?
Thanks to YouTube for allowing us to change the speed to 1.25! This guy talks too slow!
Use his spray that’s hes being paid to promote just saved you 6 mins of your life
ok thanks for this i will try it!! cuz i was kinda sad cuz my favorite shirt kept stinking after washing itt!!
Antonio do you ever use bleach on anything white that needs a stain removal? I’ve found that it works but tends to change the quality of the fabric.
I NEVER wash my gym clothes..keeps the hot chicks from bothering me
Will this get rid of the musty smell permanently, or do you have to do it every time you wear the item? Thanks for the video.
Hats: packing them wrong, thus deforming them.
Socks:
Wearing the a pair more than once
Shoes:
Forgeting to clean the inside
Instant shoe shine(the acidity eats through the leather, creating an uneven, and in time stiff exterior)
Why all trouble with the new washers?? We bought a GE he machine in August and I really love it! And ours does a great job of cleaning the clothes. Not one problem or issue with it. Maybe you have to be careful to load it right and most importantly, read the owners Manuel. So many people today hate to follow directions.
Will this work for garments made from synthetics like acetate, nylon and poly/cotton blends?
Thanks Antonio! I follow some of your tips and they have transformed my attitude as well as how other’s see me in and outside of work, for the better.
Question! What are your thoughts on using starch to iron dress shirts? I feel like it decreases the life of my clothes sometimes.
Hey Melissa, I’m not sure if you’ll read this question but what if it rains outside and I can’t hang it out? Should I just put it in a short cycle in the dryer then?
Useful video. One thing I may add is washing and/or drying items at higher heat and spin settings than recommended which can fade/distort/wear things out. I always go as gentle and cold water as possible especially for wool and certain sports wear. I hang dry anything I’m worried about shrinking or changing shape.
Lol those bloopers! I actually like when you talk normal and not so much like a commercial host (no offense) but I understand, it’s professional on your scale on video production.
Hello new subscriber so I’m late but watching as many as I can your good and ez to watch but I work I. The oil fields in texas and my coveralls get a lot of dirt and oil on them and sometimes I can’t wash them as much as I want but what do you recommend for cleaning
If your clothes smell in the gym, it’s because you are actually working hard and busting your ass rather than just sitting on your phone for 20 minutes in between sets.
I’m guilty of over washing and the stain thing. The stain is pen ink and when tucked in it can’t be seen. Also, I’m a host in a restaurant, and my “uniform” is blue jeans and a button down shirt (solid). I’m constantly moving in my position (all the restaurant hosts out there know what I mean). When I get home, I’m pretty rank. Also, I work for under minimum wage + tipshare. So, I don’t make much. What are your suggestions for “looking sharp” while still being able to pay my bills (student loans, credit, and mobile phone)?
My favorite ways are powerlifting (squat, deadlift, bench press, etc), sprinting, dancing, bikram yoga, and capoeira.

Would this work on a vintage barbour jacket? Just got one off ebay and it has a distinctive musty smell
Great video!Tell me about how to hang clothes properly in wardrobe?
You are not serious about working out If you wear smelly clothes to the gym
simply shows your discipline
Tip 1(&10), don’t go to the gym.
OR
Don’t wear clothes to the gym
Oh forgot to mention: walking uphill at least 20 mins a day keeps me in good shape plus I can eat what I want and not gain weight!
Bottom line Leave your washer lid open between washes. The washer bin cannot dry if the lid is closed. The washer bin and things you can’t readily see will grow mold and/or mildew if the lid is closed. If you have a top-loader, leave the washer lid open in-between washes. If you have a front-loader, leave the washer lid open in-between washes (I don’t buy front-loaders for this very reason). The same principle goes for the dishwasher. The lid should always be left open slightly or you will grow mold and/or mildew in there. The same principle goes for the bathroom. If the door is always closed (and there is no window to allow moisture to dry) the moisture will mold and/or mildew.
Walk workouts with Leslie Sansone. Hip Hop Abs (Beachbody) DVD with Shaun T and YouTube videos from Keaira LaShae. It’s so hot here now that I can’t get outside to walk (90-105) so I hooked up an HDMI cable from laptop to TV and can workout whenever I want with fans going and AC on! I’ve tried going to a gym but home workouts are for me! P.S. Been going crazy putting vinegar in the fabric softener slot in my washer. Makes things soft, fibers full and clean! Thanks for all your tips.:-)
Do you think it will work on the wood in the old closet? I cleaned the old wardrobe closet with soap water inside out and the musty smell is not completely gone yet.
Please do a video on how to clean your car! Thanks for all the great cleaning tips!
I discovered a GG “hack”; when watching Preston’s videos, play it back at 1.25 speed and he sounds completely natural and relaxed! Great job!
Dude i have supported your stuff all the way but come on lets focus on whats actually important
I do aerobics, I’ve found it to be the best efficient overall body workout for cardio + training muscles simultaneously!:)
great video Melissa…please make a video on how to clean a chest or deep freezer? i hope its not a lot to ask
I’m an aerialist! I do aerial silks and a little of static trapeze!:D
I did not believe and try it. 100% true.
I learn a lot from this channel from years already and still learning. You are doing a great job Preston.
Nice tips. I new on sport bra. Normally I jest wash in washing machine. But after that the sponge will stick to gather.

A Tip to STOP Your Gym Clothes from STINKING:
Don’t work out!
I love yoga, biking, hiking and Taiji QiGong. I need to change between these depending on my time/ free time.
What shirts are you wearing Antonio? I just can’t overlook that firm collar and quality build, it looks great!
Vinegar is amazing. I use it to remove rust. I use it when I’m done using the washing machine. As well as in the Keurig
Thanks! I was just going to ask you about how to clean towels that aren’t smelling so nice even after washing. I found other people use similar techniques to the workout gear for that & am running the wash right now.
I’m sure you have a long list of videos people have been requesting, but how about a How to Clean Your Workout Equipment video? Treadmills, ellipticals, weight-lifting equipment, yoga mats, etc?
This was so helpful! Love this video! I’m going to try this out.
Not polishing your desk every morning and getting dust on your cuffs.Eating and drinking while walking increasing risk of spills. Using the outside pockets of suit coats and spoiling the silhouette of the suit or damaging the pocket corners. Ironing ties wrongly and imprinting the seam to the front. Using too hard a brush on cashmere. De-pilling with a sticky roller. Hanging in the wardrobe damp after ironing. Having in a damp wardrobe. Hanging in the wardrobe without cleaning or leaving the laundry pile too long, thus attracting moths. Trouser hems not tailored to the right length. Cheap belts with plastic backing that snarls shirt fabric and leaves plastic deposits. Burning with cigarettes, cigarette ash, boulders.
Can you please, if you haven’t already, do a video on how to get pit stains out of your shirt? I walk back & forth to work and now my shirts have embarrassing pit stains.
My favourit work out is my sport:) I do cheerleading! (sorry for my english but I am from Germany)
I love this video… My favourite way to workout is horse riding:)
Also, how about the fact that the hangers you use will determine the life span of your clothes? Obviously you should use wide hangers, especially for suits and such. And most closets are way too full, everything is crammed in there. There should be enough space between each hanger to let the clothes hang freely.
Keep a Tide to go stain remover stick in your car, at the office, and in your toiletry bag for trips. This is a nifty product! It has saved me from a few permanent stains.
great fan of your page
I am having problem in finding similar fabric for my suit trouser.
My trouser is damaged and I could not find the same fabric to tailor new one?
Any recommendation guys?
Is their any company that will get you the same fabric
I hadn’t known that, very useful
This should save a few items. Thanks
Is this method safe to use on suede? Got a faint smell of cigarette smoke on a dyed suede item.
Lol. But ain’t no body got time to do multiple loads!!! I’ve known forsure this was a problem for me for the longest, but luandry days are the loneliest days in life haha
Hi! I just want to ask something because I always have my training. My clothes and sports bra smell good before I go to training and then when sweat comes out, my sports bra smells bad. So I don’t know what to do. I hope you got an answer for this.
when i start ironing… if m not sure if temperature is right for particular type of fabric or if i am using other iron while travelling…ane specially when i iron white shirt.. i start ironing underneath the collar or cuffs to avoid the damage of over heating or dust/rust stains directly on shirt..
I take it the inside of said garment should be spayed if need be
what about the discoloration of shirt colors how to prevent or simply ckean?
My favorite way to workout is swimming, doing yoga, taking fitness classes at the gym or grabbing a friend and going to the park for a daily walk. For me, if I do something I enjoy doing the more likely I’ll be to keep up with my workout. I have even chose to add a physical education class to my fall semester schedule which is yoga, to help me stay active.
I’ve used a two cap fulls of bleach in the side bleach dispenser (bleach never touching clothes undiluted). This acts as a sanitizer cleans both washer and clothes quite well. I can’t stress enough do not let the bleach touch the anything with color directly. But diluted with water will not cause any damage to colors.
After some time, that odor just can’t be washed away.
Get inexpensive gym clothes and when the odor comes kicking in, get new ones.
You are the perfect choice for the next JAMES BOND 007 movie. Give it s try bro!!!
For front loader do I add the stuff on the clothes or the dispenser?
Great Video!….Have yo ever thought about acting as a career.? I think you are very photogenic….. look great on camera!!!!! CX
I’m so happy I stumbled across your channel! You’re a gem! I wish there’s a woman version of you talking about female things. Subscribed after watching the first video! <3
Just ordered the kit from hero clean can’t wait to check it out, everything you recommend works awesome alpha
What is this stick your jeans in the freezer mess? I’ve heard this before but that doesn’t “clean.”
dear sister awsom tricks txxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I’ve noticed some people have KFC exhaust scent sweat, I’ve been guilty of that a few times in my life, what’s up with that?
One way to revive clothing that has shrunk is to soak in water and pull evenly in all directions of the clothing, then allow to dry naturally. Works great!
I’d really like to see Alpha’s body rolling routine there aren’t any good guides available currently as far as I can find.
Lol Americans you wear thongs on your feet and a hamper is a bundle of delicious foods. If you throw worn clothes on your hamper what is wrong with you:p
Wish there was a UK version.. We can’t open our machines like that
I clean the top of the washer under the lid and the rubber ring before washing if any dirty fabric touches them — because otherwise you’re never going to have completely cleaned items if they touch the dirty parts of your washer as you take them out to put in the dryer.
Was thinking the whole time that most people in theatre constantly rely on this trick to get the funk out of costumes, and then you mentioned it! Really cheap, really effective way to tackle the problem.
Hi Melissa
I am from India and our cuisine has a lot of staining ingredients. How do I tackle them? Like coffee and tea stains, stains from pickles, curries, tomato etc.-from clothes and table linen. Thanks in advance and hey, you rock
I put 2 cups of vinegar, detergent and I put in lavender vanilla bean unstoppable.
Unfortunately alcohol can’t be used on silk. Cleaning beaded silk is a real dilemma. I will try wrapping the garment in tissue paper and laying it in a sealed box with bi-carbonate of soda in the bottom.(Not touching the silk). If it wrecks the garment I will be mortified.
I use borax and run extra long cycles and this also gets out all the detergent residue so detergent doesn’t go into,y skin as I workout ️♂️
This is why I go to a football only waight room so no one will make fun of my odar
I thought that I knew a lot about cleaning but was I ever mistaken! These videos are just what I need to stay motivated to keep my world clean! I love the Chad parts too! Funny, witty, inspiring, this woman has it all! Thank You!
If you have sanitation setting or steam setting, those 2 cycles will get rid of all the mildew/sour smell. You don’t need vinegar or baking soda if you use either of these 2 settings.
i really liked your videos. very informative, especially for people like me who has a big concern about clothes. i really want to maintain the quality of my clothes.
But what if u can’t wash them every day? (Jiu jitsu uniform)
I had one particular wash cloth that always smelled moldy. I dampened it and microwaved it for 2 minutes. Killed the bacteria, and smell isn’t a problem anymore. Works on sponges too!
Can you make a video on cleaning white sheets and towels? I love white sheets and towels but a while they yellow and nothing I do gets them white again
Oh my gosh, thank you for this video! I got a new drying rack for my running clothes that’s mounted high on the wall. As I was leaning over it putting some wet clothes on, I smelled… sweat! Icky sweaty stank on my freshly laundered running tops even though I had thrown some vinegar in the wash! (I hadn’t done laundry in 2 weeks when I washed these). Thanks to you now my stanky clothes are marinating in vinegar and hopefully that will do the trick!
I loved Chad’s method of working out!:) To answer your question, I’m mostly a runner since I can exercise myself and my dogs just by running out the front door. But I’m also a black belt in Taekwondo.
Stop eating crap and you won’t smell like it. EVEN while sweating profusely. Wanna bet? How much you got? My five million dollar challenge has been up for ten years. Oh but I forget to tell youyou also have to prove that YOUR diet also prevents cold, flu, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, headache, stomach ache, and 100 other chronic disease symptoms for at least three years IN A ROW. Bazinga.
The new washers on the market (especially those without agitators and front load washers) do not get your clothes clean. They don’t do a good job when they claim to wash better than the old fashion washing machines. We got rid of 2 different top of the line, brand new washing machines due to how terrible they were. Everyone I know with a front load or ANY new washer for that matter, is so disappointed. We ended up going to a used appliance store and bought a model from Sears from the 90’s and it cleans better than any of the fancy washers I’ve used or that my friends and relatives have. People actually ask if they can come to our house and do laundry from time to time to get their clothes clean—no lie! The used appliance stores where I live clean and service the machines and offer a better warranty than a brand new one too. Get an old one if you can! The same goes for dishwashers—the new ones suck! We returned ours and bought an older used one that doesn’t have all the “Energy Star” crap on it that makes it not work.

Should you wash workout clothes that are synthetic or stretchy seperate from your other clothes? I have a lot of black yoga pants and a lot of blank work pants. Can I wash them together? Or should I not? Same for tops. I have lots of colorful workout tshirts and tanktops but I also have colorful work tops. I wondering whether it’s just better to do a load for “workout clothes” and not sort them by color?
Just so you know, I think you have your washer setting on NORMAL…. that only fills the water up just a little over 1/2 a tub. If you want to fill the tub full of water, use the BULKY setting. I sell used washers & dryers and test them with the lid open. If you want to know how I do that or how to make it so you can open the lid at any time (like the old style washers), just ask.:)
I have a pair of dark gray dress pants, would they match with a black-brown or dark brown slip on dress shoe?
Try making washing soda out of the baking soda by baking it a few hours at 400°F it will work so much better because it will lower the PH level.
I just want to make a point on drying all your shirts.
The way I dry my shirts in the laundry mat I only put one quarter which is give me about 10 minutes of driving time when is done my shirts are half wet and have dry and then I put them in a hangerswhen I get home I hang my shirts and let it get dry on their own. And the next day when they dry I would have no wrinkles and my black shirts would last a lot longer. The only shirts that might need to be ironed is if you have silk shirts. I’ve been doing that for years.
C.E.O. of Levi’s says washing them tears up the jeans so he spot cleans his most the time.
I do if there wet cloth keep it away from dry dirty cloth.. 2 time in a year washer machine could be clean with bleach hot water stop for 1 hour 1 cycle then second cycle hot water with vinegar n baking soda othet 1 hour stop then let it through out the cycle.. Clean washer n keep ur whole machine clean…
New sub
I need tips to remove stains and how to keep white bright white
Thanks
What if I add bleach along with white vinegar and baking soda into the washing machine for washing?
This is great and I’ve done the vinegar and baking soda thing…. however I know live in an apartment with a stackable washer and dryer that are front loaders…. I can put some vinegar in there, but not as much as when you have a regular top loader. Sigh. They come out decent, but not great:( Sometimes, they’re still stinky. Any suggestions?
don’t your clothes end up smelling like vinegar when they’re done?
@0.53 cool watch! it looks like the watch that was designed with visually-impaired people in mind, it uses some type of magnet and metal ball system. Forgot the name of the brand.
In the old times petroleum was used to dry clean clothes. Probably not healthy.
Using the wrong setting ls on the washer or dryer. Excessive heat on delicate materials is one example. High washer agitation settings on clothes that only need a gentle agitation to get clean.
awesome! will def try the pre-soak vinegar technique! thanks a lot!!:D
Make sure your workout clothes are actual workout clothes and not cotton t-shirts. You can find these shirts at you local sporting goods store or online. Once you have actual workout clothes wash them every time you use them. I have shirts for over 10 years that I’ve sweated in for 3 hours in the summer outside and the only problem they have is they look worn out no odor though.
Add Borax with your other laundry detergent. Also add Borax in your dishwasher with your detergent
So besides the vinegar and baking soda, I don’t use any kind of detergent?
My favourite workout is dancing but also taking the bike instead of bus or anything when I go somewhere. If you think about it it’s really great.
I bike 5 kms to work most days. That is my fitness schedule.
Antonio, I like you and what you’re trying to do and I am sorry to say this but I am considering unsubscribing to your channel because every time I receive a notification that you’ve uploaded a new video, I look at the duration, which is usually way too long and I don’t end up watching it because I am pushed for time. If any style video is over 6 minutes long I lose the will to live and end up switching off. This very video… 9:21… too long.
Either you need to condense the video by better editing or be more concise. Sorry mate. Feel really bad for saying this because you’re a good guy but the length of your videos are killing it. If you need to say more, continue making a shorter video but then maybe add a link to another ‘extended’ or extra video that is only available on your website. Like an ‘insider tip’. If people want to see it they will visit, attracting more visitors to your site, end up browsing it and looking at other stuff and adding value to your brand. You are giving away a full hand of cards here when you could hold some back and benefit. Best wishes.
I LOVE washing clothes and making them clean and neat looking. The first tip I would offer is not to put anything wet or even damp in the laundry bin. That can make everything smell and even make it moldy. I still think you need to add some laundry detergent. Not all are created equal. Something with borax or oxyclean is really good….like Arm & Hammer (no, I don’t work for them). Towels and washrags can get pretty nasty. I use vinegar, too but I put the vinegar in the place where fabric softener goes so it hits the clothes after they’ve been washed. You can set an extra rinse if you like, but nothing ever smells like vinegar. Oh, on towels, use the hottest water your washer will set for. This is really the best way to get out the dirt and smells and it doesn’t cover up any odors. Have fun!!!
I also leave the washer lid, or door on front loaders open just a little bit when not washing clothes so it can dry out. I always something on the top loader to keep the lid from closing completely or just leave it up. Now I have a front loader and just leave the door open about an inch or so for air to get in there. I have never had a stinky washer.
I did warm water therapy before the pandemic (and current riot going on outside) I loved it so much.
Currently doing this to a Tweed jacket that I’ve acquired which smells outrageously. First spritzing has worked well, but may take a couple of sessions….
Rare classic fashion and life style video! Love you gentlemen!
Skip the HERO thing, to see the real hero. He needs to eat too, so don’t take it bad for him!
hi Melissa, i just wanted to share that i tried your method from this video. how it went was the washing machine I used used vinegar in the fabric softener slot (filled by me) in the final rinse so my clothes came out smelling like vinegar. After rewash, my work out clothes still has the funky smell I was trying to get rid of w/ vinegar. I’ll try something else, so no problem.
go to 1:20 before any useful information begins. go to 3:00 before he begins to talk about how to actually remove odor from clothes.
I guess Everclear might eat away at the color, and possibly some stitching, if nylon based,…It’ll eat through paint…
Wrong……
If your clothes stink it means you smell like a man.
Real alphas embrace this!
Arm & Hammer Detergent Boost in a yellow 55oz box-works like magic, trust me. You can also presoak with the powder and water mixture for those pesky odors and heavily soiled items, but mainly I just put in my washer.
Great video!:D I needed this after my job as a tennis coach lol. Could you do a video on how to keep your car clean? Cause it’s a space most people spend a lot of time in also!
Hello Preston. Question… will this also disinfect the clothing? Wondering if this technique can be used on cloth and upholstered furniture, these days when we’re trying to disinfect everything. Also, would straight rubbing alcohol work as well? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.
Additional comment to stains on clothes, if you get red wine spilled all over you, immediately apply mineral water on it, it will help do dissolve the stain.
My cheer uniform was given to me with deodorant stains and s horrible smell and I can’t get the smell out!!! Any suggestions
Does this work on leather jackets, and more importantly, will it damage leather if left on and air dryed?
I was just googling this question and found you!! I can’t wait to try this!! I have a lot of clothes that I want to wear/sell and so many have been boxed up and when you pull them out… notsogood! Thank you…instantly subscribed!
What if you sweat a lot? I shower daily, should I just change out of my clothes or suit as soon as school is over?
Brilliant. I just sprayed a highly perfumed calico hanging shoe storer with Gordon’s Gin….success! It took less than 2 nips. Thank you for this life changing tip. I have an inconvenient sensitivity to synthetic perfumes, & have struggled a great deal with thrift store (we call them op shops here in Australia!) finds due to both perfumes & stinky laundry detergents. I once had to wash an Alpaca jumper 14 times before I could wear it without getting a headache from the ‘Poison’ perfume in it. That stuff is intense! Thanks again!
i always just run and TRY to do a push up so that i dont sprain anything so yah and can you do a back to school series please i just started school THANKS
What if I can’t launder right away? Is it okay to pre-soak with vinegar, rinse, then put in the hamper until I have enough clothes to wash it with?
Interesting channel, good topic presented extremely well. You are articulate and and should be on tv!
Can you use this alcohol treatment on vintage leather?
I do something similar. I throw 1/2 Baking Soda into washing drum and 1/2 cup of vinegar in fabric softener slot. I add my regular laundry soap and fabric softeners. The smells will be gone. If my dog has peed on his blanket. I also add 11/2 cup off borax to the wash.,it helps whiten clothes and take stains out of your clothing. Even stains that have been accidentally washed and dried into clothing. Try it, it works. Thanks for your video.
I use a clothing steamer or any smaller steamer, fill it with water and vinegar, and clean the clothes with it. Yes you get small amount of vinegar odeur but put in bathroom open windows and it will disappera overnight
Skip the dry cleaners and have a trip in liquor store. Thank you for the advice, Mr. Preston!
I’d a few points; don’t leave clothes on the floor or in heaps, on chairs. clean it, fold it then store it properly. check all pockets for loose change or small paper items. this can damage pockets or cause stains(pens, gum, mints, etc). clean your shoes & socks. before washing, turn t shirts inside out. logo or large designs won’t crack or wear out as fast. don’t leave clothes in a hot dryer. that’s unsafe & ruins clothes. use cedar blocks or cedar hangers for jackets, suits, overcoats. learn how to maintain or store garments. I had a French army officers trench coat for nearly 20 years. I rarely used it & took care of it. don’t overload washers. separate clothing & use detergent correctly. percil pods are the best choice. consumer reports said they had the highest + rating ever. I’ve used percil for 2 years now.
Hero clean is the best because they are paying me to say so. Alpha would promote Roundup weed killer if they paid him to, and would try put a positive spin on it this will give the best chances of getting cancer IMHO ♂️
I notice the mouldy smell only if I hang it under the house when it’s raining.
Let dirty, damp clothes and towels dry out before putting them in the hamper, too.
Y waste so much time and money can’t we put cloth in running water
Hey I need to know how to clean my glass table my mom always makes me do it and I just can’t
I like that LINK BELOW, especially THE BUTTON RIGHT THERE baby hahaha
any tips on cleaning ur purse and suede boots covered with dry mud? p.s. totally love ur videos:)
I love your videos, although I need to drop to volume down to 3 to because your voice is so loud.
Maybe this is a dumb question, but can you wash the clothes with baking soda and vinegar at the same time?
How well would this work with ties (some silk, some not)? I have a very bad sense of smell so this is not for myself but for others and I want to make sure they did not or are not getting any weird odour. Some of them were poorly stored at one point and I am afraid they might have picked up some weird odours…
Your jackets always amaze me Antonio, my goodness their stylish!!!:O
Cool, I never thought I would enjoy learning from a robot dressed as a man
You can actually wash mens suits and coats, its all about water temperature and the laying out of the piece during the drying process. I once had a friend who loved her vintage mens dinner jacket but dry cleaning etc didn’t get the smells out so I laid it in the bath and with pure soap and a soft brush I washed it, rinsed it in vinegar water and laid it on towels after allowing it to drip for a day, I then pressed it with some lavendar water and rolled it around on the table to soften the fibres, it worked.
Hello Antonio,
I would have added wearing clothes during non fitting season.
Wait you wear cloths to the gym only true alphas wear fruit of loom boxer briefs to the gym, you know to be alpha
Thank you for this. I do use the baking soda and vinegar and I have a top loading machine too….don’t you have to put the ingredients in the pull out tray for top loader….thanks so much
Biggest mistake you can do is washing your clothes too hot because the information in the clothing is not taken in concideration.
I walk the stairs at work… and play with the grandkids… the best workout ever…
antonio, can you make a video about pens? fountain pens, ball pointers etc thanks! your videos and ebooks are very informative, and the best in youtube!
Great video! I’m definitely one of those lazy repair guys who waits to fix clothing and my wife hates me for it.
In lieu of cleaning jeans, I heard to help preserve the life and color to sprinkle a bit of lemon juice. Is this something you would recommend? Once again great videos
Why does he move like an old dinosaur? What’s up with spastic granddad posture???? For a young guy as well…. thats so weird!!
How do you feel about people jumping into the shower with their workout clothes still on? Ive heard that its good at keeping the smells away from setting into the fabrics!
My Favorite way to work out is……. I Dance with a Basketball with Only the songs that Move Me on my Apple Shuffle! Gotta tell ya, I am 68 years old. ALL these moves I do to the beat of the music, sometimes with the ball hitting the floor On-The-Beat, or with my steps in time to the Beat. I dribble with either hand, I hook shot with either hand, do small lay-ups (one ankle is fused from breaking during the “Blizzard of ’89 in Seattle”) I also throw the ball up way high and spin, dribble while turning like an airplane banking, sideways vines crossing my feet one behind the other. I get so High from the release of endorphins, dopamine, seratonin, whatever chemicals spark and flood my so so happy brain! Songs by Stevie Ray Vaughn, Delbert McClinton, Bonnie Raitt, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Tower of Power, Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker, Janelle Monae, Natalie Cole & Bruce Springsteen both do versions of Pink Cadillac, Kathy Mattea, Ronnie Milsap, etc. Thanks for your always clear, organized easy-to-understand and pleasant cleaning videos!
Antonio! My question is that what u wear at night while sleeping?
If you can’t wash your clothes in hot water to get rid of the bacteria and your washer has one, use the Silver Care feature! The silver ions break down the protective casings on bacteria and viruses and kill EVERYTHING. We use it to help keep household illnesses from getting passed around it even worked when my boyfriend had mono.
Great video! Great content! you made a new subscriber out of me
Just fucking shower more frequent. Stop trying to save water dumbasses. Wear deodorant too.
For most guys it would be putting their jeans and polo’s in the dryer. Also shoe care i would say 80% of men don’t own shoe polish and their shoes probably last about half as long as they could with better care
When you do this can you wash colorful clothes and jeans and will it leave a vinegar and baking soda smell behind?
my favorate work out
les millls classes (body combat, body pump, cxworx and body balance…oh..and some swimming question how u deal with cleaning swimsuits?the chlorine in the pool makes the swimsuit realy realy smelly with the sweat…)Uhhhhhh washemitsthateasydontjustletthemsetthere
Like you’re in the gym for a reason, to get fit, not trying to pick up girls there, if you are then you’re just a douche.
Do you let the water run for a bit first before putting in the stuff after you’ve put in the vinegar?
I have to wash most of my teenage son’s shirts because he stuffs them in his drawers unfolded and they smell musty. He’ll then just wear whatever is closest so the shirts sitting in the back hardly get worn.
I just use lysol to fight the funk but everyones stank is different
How to stop your gym cloths from stinking
Don’t go to the fucking gym in the first place
how should i clean my laundry hamper? currently i just spray it with allergen reducing febreeze.
fantastic! my video suggestion was made! Great video, Antonio. Very imformative
I guessed Vinegar before you even said it. Yay! I’m starting to learn!
Heres my problem.
To effectively clean my clothes, the wash cycle needs to be on hot. Anything else and they come out clean but still kinda smell. But, i can visibly notice my clothes deteriorating after every wash. So im left between a rock and a hard place: clean clothes that deteriorate quickly, or musty smelly clothes that dont.
I’ve tried adding baking soda, vinegar, all kinds of wash cycles, different detergents, separating out clothes from stinkier clothes like workout clothes, and even washing the washing machine lol. Nothing works.
So my question is; Dry cleaning shirts over washing them at home and ironing yourself. Which is worse or does it not matter. I would also say how you carry your items can kill your clothes; backpacks, shoulder straps, messenger bags can ruin the crisp press line of a jacket and make faded areas where the straps lay. carry by hand or use roller bag when ever possible.
if your washing cloth, always do a Raines cycle at the end to minimise chemical leftover in the cloth
Heres a good tip to get rid of laundry smells. Use the recommended amount of detergent, maybe more if it’s really dirty or smelly.. there..
Thank you for the wonderful and informative video, it saved our clothes!
Awesome video, I could not figure out how to stop the armpits of my workout shirts from stinking. It was driving me insane because nothing bothers me more than bad odor. Have you found any tricks for preventing or removing the yellowing of the armpits of white t-shirts?
Something I learned in the Army back in the BDU days: never use hot water to wash clothing. It bleaches dye and accelerates shrinkage. Also, never use fabric softener, it literally breaks up the fabric. When you go to the club you look like a neon light, too.
Washing your cloth is Hot Water is a easy way to ruin your cloth and many of your very good fabric cloth. I usually watch almost everything in cold water or cloth to just normal temp if the water is way too cold just blending the temp. Starching Cloth at cleaners seem to ruin your cloth fast as well especially if its expensive cloth. I don’t starch anything i send to the cleaners.
Thank you, this is exactly the information I needed!

Rubbing alcohol has a different chemical structure; speaking technically, it’s isopropyl rather than ethanol. To answer your question directly, though: no, it doesn’t work well as a deodorizer. I can speak from personal experimentation on this point, as well! Thanks for watching.
Preston
I’m gonna ask this as I didn’t see or hear you mention it in the vid, but…. aside from running the load twice, once with vinegar and once with baking soda, did you also add laundry soap? I use the vinegar WITH my laundry soap ( mine has no added fragrance or etc), would have never thought to use ONLY vinegar and then ONLY baking soda….. thanks for the vid.
Sometimes when i washed clothes in the short program they stink
Do you add any detergent? Or just just plain vinegar & baking soda?
Hi I need help because my shirts get a yellow brown under the arm pit. And I always end up throwing that garment away. I don’t know how to remove the stain. Please help me. Ps. Your really pretty
Hey Antonio, just some feedback.
When I come to my subscription box I kind of pick and choose which videos I watch since, as most of us, I don’t have time to watch EVERY video. I always watch your videos; not because I know they are going to be really good but because you have video summaries with time stamps on all you videos! It’s great!
Please as your channel grows bigger, don’t stop putting those in the description.
My favorite way to workout would have to be Zumba, I can’t dance, but that doesn’t matter, it’s still fun, and you get serious calorie burn from it.
Washing different coloring clothing together, destroys the coloring. Ruined so many new clothing like this, silly me.
Only certain clothings smell like that,, even when washed & dried with other clothing.
Will this work on vintage wool/fur felt hats?? I’ve also heard that naptha helps in cleaning and deodorizing felt hats, as long as you be careful of the leather sweatband
One thing that I see a lot of guys do is overusing their suit jackets as odd jackets/ sports jackets. Sure buying an additional sports jacket might be an investment but I do think think that if you use a jacket even like once or month or so one should consider buying a sports jacket. If you get a stain or even worse on a suit jacket while using it as a odd jacket you might have destryoed that whole suit which is much more expensive than buying that extra sports jacket.
Can you put together a video on how bigger guys can dress better? As an overweight guy who carries a lot of his weight in his stomach and thighs it’s hard to figure out how to dress without looking totally frumpy. Thanks for the help Antonio.
Another one is using aluminium based deodorant. It stains tshirts armpits.
The way you dress is like how I imagine men’s fashion youtubers would dress in the 50s
Antonio, I wear cologne everyday, and at The end of the day I see that the cologne stays on the clothing. This is a problem because I have a variety of cologne and because it is bad to mix colognes together, I end up washing the shirts after every use. What do you recommend I do?
you know you love your clothes when you call damaging clothes in the wash “taking away a life” why do i suddenly feel guilty about washing my clothes
Wow yes it works. I just bought a leather jacket with a tweed lining which had a musty smell, tried your trick and now the jacket smells a lot better.
Is there any store brand detergents great for work out clothes?
Great advice, Antonio. I have to agree. Thanks to a video where you mentioned some of these things earlier, I started air drying my shirts a few months back, letting them get multiple wears, and hand/spot washing to touch up their problem areas (i.e. collars).
I added vinegar baking soda and three bottles of sanitizer. It worked.
I do the following for small food oil stains. I rush to the nearest bathroom and grab two bunches of toilet paper (or tissue would also do). One bunch I soak with water and the other I leave dry. I put a bit of handwash soap on the stain and rub it gently to loosen it up, trying my best to avoid spreading the stain. I then place the wet tissue under the stain (under the fabric) and the dry tissue over the stain and press them together for a bit again taking care to not spread the stain. What happens is the water from the wet tissue moves towards the dry tissue through the frabic by capillary action. The stain and soap then sort of transfers on to the dry tissue bit by bit. I use different sides of the dry tissue to catch as much of that stain as possible and replace with fresh dry tissue if it still hasn’t done a complete job. I also resoak the wet tissue and reapply soap on to the fabric if necessary. It’s hard work, but most of the time I can get enough of the stain out that it’s imperceptible. The fabric ends up wet in that area, but dries up soon with body heat. Or I use a bathroom hand dryer to dry it up if available.
Wow I used fabric softener all the time smh I solved my issue
Baking soda seems better for me, cooking the clothes in the dryer helps for getting rid of the bacteria, I put the dryer on extra hot and they smell better
Throw em in the washer after your done? Lmfao ur running out of idea’s.
For anyone who needs to get diesel out of clothes, Listerine is a godsend! My husband works with machines all day and his clothes always smell like propane, diesel, and garage-type smells. I put just a small bit of Listerine in with the laundry soap and the entire load smells extremely fresh! You don’t need a whole bottle, just a little pour inside an extra large load.
Thank you Alpha!
The Hero Clean stuffs are just Godlike!
I just wanna give you a
This video was well timed: Just after watching this, Mr. Stinky rolled in from Krav Maga class and a long bike ride (ew).
Comment question I cycle, and do hot yoga, while Mr Stinky cycles, and practices Krav Maga, and Kettle Chip demolition.
Nathan’s laundry detergent is awesome for removing that sour smell from clothes and it’s HE compliant, inexpensive, and it works on active clothes really well.
Does it work on suede garments? Great vid I have a brown suede jacket that is very dry and not very malleable. Could you help me. From uk
What do you mean it has probiotics in it? Why? How would that be a good thing?
Mellissia help!!! I want to make natural products but there’s so many different recipes out there not sure which one works best??would love if you would do a video to test a multi surface cleaner with the different recipes testing them on some gunk see which one works best??
Save yourself time and add both at the same time. Sprinkle baking soda on clothes/towels and put vinegar in softner compartment. It works great. I do this on towels / workout clothes every other wash.
Great information. The tips on steaming and ironing were most helpful. Thanks for sharing.
I wash my work clothes and before I put clothes into the dryer I filled a 5 gallons bucket with a cup of baking soda and 3 gallons of water, soak every item before I put it in the dryer.
Love your videos. And you have. Given me so many tips. Thank you
Thanks! The only thing sharper than your style is that jawline!
How to get rid of under the arms sweat? if it weren’t for this I might be able to wear shirts for weeks!
Great video! Two questions:
1. Is that a million dollar collar? Stands up so well.
2. You have no boutineer hole on your lapel. Are there rules about when to have one?
Just add some white vinegar to your wash, good to go. Old school trick.
I use a bit of original pine-sol in every load, along with my detergent. Works wonders.
Just wash it after with a water then hang it for a while, when you have the time, do the proper washing w/ soap. Or leave it soak w/ a water then wash it. That’s it, and is effective
I always heard that if you wear your clothes for multiple days in a row, it wears it faster than if you used it the same amount of time, but over multiple days. Is that true?
Hi Melissa!
I though your video was really helpful and I will surly use the vinegar-trick 😉
I would love it you could do a fitness/training motivation video for those like me who don’t work out as often as we should and find it hard to stay motivated.
Looking forward to your next viedo. BIG HUGS!:)
Im not digging the pants bro its too baggy ur pretty fit try skinny fit brown pants instead
Thank you so much Antonio. You are a complete person who is guiding fellow human to reach the best of their potential. And yes so called minor changes bring great results. Am grateful to you Sir.
Thanks. I found that overwashing or using too strong of a Detergent removes or fades some of the color in a fabric.
I am a mom of a toddler and recently found out I’m pregnant so I exercise as best as I can
Fresh you can get away with, but anus funk and sweat smell is unforgivable!!
Hey Antonio, how did people clean wool suits in the old days, like 100 or 200 years ago, when they didn’t have dry cleaning?
I’m a little behind seeing this video. But at our house I tell everybody don’t put anything wet, such as a washcloth, into the hamper. We hang it on the side until it dries. Then I’ll be in the laundry room at some point so I check the wet things randomly throughout the week and if they’re dry I push them off into the hamper then. It works pretty well.
I also do the same as you for the cleaning of the washing machine.
I tried leaving the lid open between loads but somebody always would close it. So I just leave it closed now and run a cycle to clean once in while.
Your video is a great tip too.
Antonio, great video as always, even better jacket! Where’d you get it?
