Hello, I have androgenic alopecia and used to have PCOS. I was not getting my period for 6 months sometimes in the past. I was on birth control since 17 to 25, however it didn’t help my hair. I started the raw vegan diet 1,5 years ago to improve my hair condition. Surprisingly I didn’t miss my period even one single month since I eat like that. PCOS is gone.

So I have gone paleo which really helped to reduce the acne BUT I had no energy, lost too much weight and was irritable PLUS the higher carb veggies (like sweet potatoes) bloated me and worsened my digestive issues-candida and SIBO. I find that eating more grains improves my energy, helps me gain weight BUT worsens my acne. Maybe for vacation you could add a couple more “treats” but not totally go crazy and try to be extra cautious about food the week before and the week after. You’d just hate for a vacation to make going back to your daily habits extra hard or cause headaches again… headaches are the worst.

I k ow this video is kinda old but I love the gluten free cheerios flavors. Maple and chocolate are my favorite. I did my research and cheerios is actually a somewhat healthy cereal. I eat a bowl every day with almond milk. It’s the one thing I eat that isn’t fresh like fruits and veggies and meat. And Larabars too but they’re gluten free and organic. They have like 5 ingredients and they’re all fruit pretty much. The chocolate chip cookie dough ones are my favorite. They’re delicious and satisfy my sweet tooth. But definitely to anyone who needs gluten free check out the maple and chocolate flavors of Cheerios.
I can relate about a million allergies and help issues. Just food wise im allergic to dairy, cane suger, wheat, egg yolks, tomatoes, citric acid, chocolate, and soy. I just recently started watching YouTube videos about healthy eating. I didnt relize how many other people could relate!

I am so so so proud of you and happy for you!! You are a huge encouragement! I have to eat gluten free and have many other allergies ( soy, tapioca, red dye, pepper…) You go girl!! I would do as much sticking to it as you can (even on vacay) because it is so hard to get those crazy cravings back if you cheat. Pack lots of safe snacks and always have one first before considering consuming anything else. You are vegetarian so that makes is harder because my go to filler is meat (and I was able to do Disney 100% gluten free with burgers, chicken etc) Love your videos!!!

Yay congrats! Just keep in mind the sugar and wheat draw out addictive qualities so once you add them back in be cautious of cravings and how much you a lot yourself. Keep up the great work!
Im currently trying to switch over to gluten free and dairy free slowly and still having dairy and gluten a little bit but im trying just because I need to sort my health up and my friends are dairy free and their skin has cleared up so much and my other friend thats celiac and already hates gluten is so healthy and skinny but not too skinny
I agree with tacobelle95. If you go back to eating as you did before, you will just go back to your “bad” habits of eating and the ground you gained (or weight/inches you lost) will be gone. I know I felt the best, and weighed the least, when I followed it 95% of the time. As far as congested, part of that is probably dairy and since you didn’t have any your body detoxed I have the same issue with congestion and cutting out dairy did the trick for me. If you do “cheat” so to speak, once a week is what I would do. You have really inspired me to get back on this eating plan I went off it about a year ago, so I’m speaking from experience, unfortunately lol weight, congestion, uncomfortable joints.
Keep on the path, with planning you can bring things along that will help you. I did it for 3 years and am disappointed in myself for going backwards:-(

No offence but people who do the “gluten free” diet to lose wait makes my life a lot harder because less people take my disease seriously and make cross contamination a lot easier to happen

I’ve been gluten intolerant my whole life, and I first figured it out when I was 12 years old. Since I’ve stopped I feel much better when I don’t eat gluten, and people say that my face looks more alive now. When I do eat gluten, I litterally get stomach aches and pain in my whole body. If you want to know if you are gluten intolerant, then go take a blood test, and you can also get to know if you are allergic to ther things such as: Milk, soya, and such.:)
Dairy was one of the hardest things for me to get out of my diet. It is super addicting. I would never add it back in. It is horrible for you and honestly if you knew what was in it you would not want to eat it.

Elizabeth, I’m a Disney travel agent and I also eat gluten free. Disney rocks at gf food! It doesn’t cost more and you can get it at almost all quick service places and al table service. In fact you can do dairy free too. The gf Mickey waffles are awesome!
Don’t just jump back into all the foods. You have to reverse diet or you’ll gain it all back and then some. Also, ditching the sugar and dairy is a big contributor of everything positive you saw. I know a lot of people think it’s the gluten but unless you have an allergen to gluten it’s probably not gluten. Skipping the sugar and dairy is bigger. Congrats!

Happy Happy Happy for you! Try your best to keep your new eating plan on vacation. I’m gluten intolerant & feel best when limiting refined carbs. On my last 2 vacations I was mindful of this and felt great. Why slow yourself down eating things that just appeal to your tongue, but make the rest of you not feel great?
I also noticed after going off gluten nearly 4 years ago that I’m seldom congested in my sinuses. When it’s allergy season, my nose runs, but I don’t get the pressure and pain of congestion…and no sinus infections either.
I suggest when you treat yourself that it’s limited and to be mindful of how you feel afterwards. As you may know, refined carbs like sugar trigger inflammation. I can definitely feel pain come on if I indulge in a sugar loaded food when I’ve been following healthy eating habits.
You greatly encouraged me to clean up my diet where it has slipped in some areas and I’m feeling better for the changes. Last year my hubby finally decided to improve his diet after seeing how it helped me (took 3 years but it was his decision, never my pushing) and he lost 25 pounds without even working at it. Small changes made a big difference.
I choose to eat gluten free because I have an intolerance to it. Not because it’s a new fad. Gluten can affect my skin and give me crazy cystic acne, so I just don’t eat it. If anyone is looking for a good gluten free frozen pizza, caulpower 3 cheese pizza is great!

I think it’s important to ease back in slowly. One thing I wondered about giving it all up all at once is that you really don’t know which thing was the culprit for your brain fog and other problems. So if you’re adding it all back at once (even in small portions), you may never know which is causing the issue. I gave up caffeine about a year ago. Wheat probably close to two years ago. I haven’t done much in the way of fried food in many, many years (once in a long while). I haven’t tried giving up sugar or dairy. I can’t say I have brain fog…but definitely memory issues. Is it the sugar or something else? I didn’t find that any of the things I’ve given up have changed the memory issues (not being able to come up with a word or name or forgetting why I just walked into this room). Please follow up as you begin to add things back into your diet. BTW, I have toasted cheese with gluten free bread. It tastes fine.

It would have been much better if I discovered this “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) a few years back. I burned 12 lbs in three weeks so far. There is still need of physical exercises even just a couple of times a week as well as the foodstuff to eat should be right. It showed fantastic outcomes for me. Great job! You are such an inspiration. I could not do what you have done, though I hope to get there one day, so please don’t take my comment as being judgy. I am an addiction therapist and once you start back into old patterns or behaviors you will always have a reason to continue with those behaviors. We are on vacation so it is okay, we are really busy this week and I need something quick, I am not feeling well and just don’t have the energy so I will start again next week, etc. You have worked so hard and feel so good-keep it up!

So, I’ve been bullied my hole life (even though I’ve always drank milk and water and healthy food that has gluten and milk in it). Then my mom took me to my doctor and take a very small of of some type of intestate out and found out I can’t have diary or gluten (I’m almost 12 so that’s really bad) Please respond

Something that I make that is super good is I mix quinoa, black beans, chopped peppers, and some chicken if you’re feeling fancy in a skillet with balsamic vinaigrette as my base instead of olive oil or something (it makes everything taste better), lemon juice, a little bit of garlic powder, and salt in pepper to taste. Honestly adding lemon to almost anything is good because it adds another level of flavor.
