I use to watch this video along with his yoga ones when I was really into my fitness gig and this workout literally helped me get a v cut — after months of being sick and now finally back on my feet I am starting to watch them again and can’t wait to have my body back. Question:
Because I mixed some calendars of yours up, I’ve been on this schedule for the past 3 months while following your 12 WEEK HOME PROGRAM:
MONTH 1
Sunday: Upper Body 1 and Abs 1
Monday: Lower Body 1 and Abs1
Tues: Rest or Cardio
Wednesday: Upper Body 1 and Abs 1
Thursday: Rest or Cardio
Friday: Mildly Active Rest
Saturday: Mildly active rest
When I hit Month 2, I kept this schedule and used MONTH 2 workouts. When I got to MONTH 3, I kept this schedule and did 1 WEEK of MONTH 1 workouts as you advised in your plan.
Now I’m on WEEK 1 of MONTH 3 and I discovered that your calendar is different than this.
Basically, I’m wondering if I should switch the routine up and do what you suggest or keep it how it is. I feel great, your meal plan macros are working and I’m seeing consistent physical changes.

try dead lifts with heavy barbell its the best exercise for core. Deadlifts are the grandfather of all core hardcore 1, 2, 3, 4, exercises.

What size exercise mat is that because I bought one from ebay but the thing is as long as my body and I’m exercising in a very small space so it’s not very convenient.

The best ab workout I have ever done. My shoulders always feel tremendous pressure during the hip dips, so much so that I physically can’t do them without my shoulder feeling like it’s on fire. Do you know how I should do the workout differently to possibly help with this MadFit?
She has much better abs videos. My problem with this one is that instead of isolating on the abs, you work your hip flexors and triceps even more.

I did this for about two weeks but my hip keeps popping on the jack knife crunches and x crunches. Its grtting annoying it puts me off because i feel like when it pops i lose control of the movement. Any ideas?

I tend to neglect my abs because I get so wrapped up into leg-focused HIIT and upper body strength training routines. This workout set me on course again. If you keep good form, your abs will be burning and you’ll be sweating by the end. These short (yet effective) abs routines are perfect to add after a regular workout or on a day you’re strapped for time. Great one. Daniel!

Edit 1: I’m at the start of week 3. The past 2 weeks I haven’t felt much long-term soreness (as in the next day). I added some more weight onto the weight of exercises and I’ve been trying to flee the ab muscles tighter on the ones where you crunch. I’ve never had abs so I’m hoping to get my first set. I’ve done abs in the past so I’m a little skeptical. I will keep at it!

Hey I have a question. Wouldn’t doing a standing side crunch with a dumbbell in each hand just balance out? Like, pulling 20lbs up on the right would be made way easier with 20lbs also pulling down on the other side, no?
Is it weird that I keep the same intensity through the whole thing but after the first set my abs just don’t burn anymore, thing is I wouldn’t be as confused if I was already ripped but my abs have only just started to come through naturally and I feel like if i find it easy they should be more prominent. ( im 15 and an ectomorph, also open for different techniques and stuff like that) basically why does it stop burning and hurting even tho I’m skinny

So after doing this for about 4 months I can tell you that it totally works! You have to push yourself with diet and exercise. This by itself won’t do a lot. Try doing some cardio like 5k a day. When I started I wasn’t necessarily fat but I did have chubby sides and after just 2 weeks I saw improvement. I totally recommend this to anyone trying to get fit. I’m 17 by the way.

I’ve been doing (one of) your 30 minute Yoga routine every morning before going to the gym. It eases my back pain, is slowly dissolving my shoulder impingement problems, and centers me for the day. As soon as I thought I need to add some core routines to my days, I looked you up. A lot of your videos that I watch are quite old, so I jumped onto your page to see if you were still active, and I am happy you are! For anyone looking to make this more difficult I suggest replacing the dumbbell standing oblique crunch things with bicycles. I found the oblique crunches to be very easy and the bicycles make it much more difficult especially after the psycho crunch.

For some reason I can’t get proper form on the kneeling back extension. I don’t feel the burn at all

Geez, that was the only ab workout where I ACTUALLY felt it in my abs, as opposed to my neck/arms.
You funny. Too long First round long enough but not hard enough. Otherwise not bad abs should be short and intense. Full crunch probably not best idea either.

As much as I like the idea of a shredded body it’s currently not my goal. I stopped working out roughly 5 years ago and between being diagnosed with some chronic illnesses and unbearable uni stress my body just kind of gave up. I lost a lot of weight over the last few months and I’m WEAK. I’m 22 ffs I should feel alive. I’m going to try to keep this updated.
Day 1: As I said, I’m basically a stick figure so I had to take some 30 sec breaks here and there. Also, I modified some moves because my arms will not cooperate but HOLY SMOKES AM I SWEATING.
Day 1.5: My body hurt so I’ve decided to alternate between the 30 day challenge and a LIIT workout on PuzzleFit. I’ll be doing this every second day.
Day 2: I can’t believe I did the whole thing. the entire workout without dying.
Day 3: went with 1 kg weights instead (two water bottles) but I made through the whole thing.
Well, this was FUN! So many muscles are burning right now…need to do it again!!!
