Anything Unser 35 degrees in Chicago I just say NOPE!!!! Haha
My 5th grade teacher showed me this I am now in 8th grade and still watching this
I run 10k through the rain wearing the same outfit when its not, this is so much pampering.
11:26, your jackets are not covering the bum and crotch areas, in heavy rains that will be a big issue
Thank you for the newspaper tip!
great content as usual guys
are both jackets water proof or one of them water resistant?
@ the run experience i would recommend bamboo purifying bags for drying shoes and odd baking soda if your shoes really get stinky work way better than newspaper which will not purify the shoes!!!
I find a waterproof waist belts works well for storing your phone aswell
Nice channel man! Really enjoy the mountains as well! You’d enjoy here in Barcelona where you can run above the city! Check my channel and you’ll see it! Tell me what you think of it if you checked it!
Just subscribed man, keep pushing, really enjoyed your channel!
Cheers from Spain
Really useful tips, I do find the really heavy duty waterproof stuff turns you into a mobile sauna which sucks. The gear you ladies use seems to avoid that.
I run 6 miles every morning an every night 100 push ups pull ups sit ups every morning an night hot cold rainy nothing will stop me from reaching my goals. 4 am 8 pm
And now I have to go and run in the drizzle. Because I just signed up for the Cardiff HM (my first) and have no more excuses ha ha ha.
This is less knowledge and tips and more product /gear recommendations
I love this video. I’ve watched it always when I need motivation. It works. Great music. Great job.
Hey i just wanted to say that coach morgan is super cute! Ok byeee
Today was my first rain run and water almost destroyed my Phone’e speaker…but hey I loved the experience
I can’t understand English very well…. Can anyone told me running in rain is good or bad
It was my first rain run tofay..and it was one of its kind experience
Can you give me the name of the Outdoor research jacket or the link to where to buy it. Thank you ☺️
First let me say how pleased i feel for finding this video. Thank you for all the information:) But i have to ask something important to me. Say that you wear the hat and the jacket you mentioned, and afterwards also put the hood on top of the hat, and then at last wear the buff on your neck. Say that you wear all of these, Does water going to get inside your neck and then to your torso? I am asking this cause i really would like to run in the rain, but i don’t want to get a cold:( Please guide me a little more.
Great tips! Thank you for sharing! I especially like the newspaper to dry shoes and using the buff to dry off!
I haven’t tried merino wool yet but, may try it this winter season thru training.
I also like my base layer to have a zipper for temperature control. Only because I tend to overdress in rainy/snowy days.
Unless you are made of sugar running in the rain is fine. Could actually be fun especially in the summer.
Anyone likes to get wet running in the rain? I do. Hope Im not the only one tho.. No jacket. Shirtless if I can, it feels sooo so great!
I have a shoe dryer that my wife got me from Amazon. It is awesome!
Running in the rain is my fav.. alway get runners high after

Loved this! Could you do one for running in the snow/ice for us Canadian runners?
Morgan needs a mic, acoustics were off like she was on a stage. As for the gear, you missed out on gloves for our digits! Also for those that have trail running shoes, it’s nice to use in the rain since some shoes have goretex to keep your feet dry.
i need this video almost every week when running in scotland
I wish people wouldn’t be put off by the conditions outside. The worse they are = the better you feel. It‘s a good thing when it’s tough.
Its raining here in Texas this morning….this video is exactly what I was looking for.
3 years ago i ran a marsthon. Now my condition is like shit. 2 days ago i did first step to get back. I ran 3 km today it is time for 4 k. Like to watch that kond of movies ready to run. Finish watching and just start running with positive motivayion. Take care all of yaa
I have been listening to your work on Apple Music for about a year now and have been looking for your channel/videos for a while, but couldn’t seem to find it/them. I am glad that I finally came across your work. This is a speech that I’ve played probably about 50 times. Thank you for making such motivating and inspirational work. There is a lot of questions that I would like to ask you about your journey as a creator, but I don’t think that this is the place to do that. Would like to get on a call, email, podcast with you, if possible. Either way, don’t stop what you are doing. Thank you!
Cool tips girls! I use a bright color hat as well, has been a game changer no water getting into my eyes anymore and improves my visibility
I don’t got time to buy all that equipment, it’s raining hard right now all I need is shorts and shoes
Meanwhile in South East Asian Countries…
Rains
Do you wanna run?
YES.
Go out and run.
The end
Nice video. I live in the Willamette Valley, so I run in the rain ALL the time. I rotate pairs of shoes and definitely use your newspaper method. I tend to underdress in the rain so I will look into those jackets.
After running, buff and sleeves information was interesting thanks.
Last 2 half marathons have been rainy. The first one my Garmin heart strap about sawed me half, so the next one I lathered up in body glide. Everywhere. In that one my feet got completely shredded and I didn’t know how to fix it. I’m ordering those socks stat.
My favorite post-rain-run tip is to bring a dry change of clothes to put on after your run. As soon as you stop running, your body starts cooling quickly, so anything that’s wet will start feeling very cold. Addendum to my tip is to bring a dry sack ( like these https://www.rei.com/product/883363/sea-to-summit-lightweight-dry-sack-8-liters) to put your wet stuff into. I sweat too much to stay dry inside of rain gear, so my focus is on staying warm which means a merino wool layer and a windproof layer on top of that.
Where can I find the music with this video… it’s powerful… good work… I listen to this everyday
Being from Ireland, surely you just mean running…
… or do you live in some mythical warm dry sun drenched land, like that exists.
I just run in my shorts and t shirt. One thing I assure that they are of very bright colour and have some reflective strip.
I always wear a buff, no matter the weather.:) I run on dirt roads in the forest after dark so then I use a head lamp. Great stuff.
I needed this Saturday. Lol. Good for next time though! Thanks!
Great video. Thanks for posting this. But I like running in the rain. It keeps me cool when it is 75° outside.
Imagine being married to an upbeat happy go lucky person like her, would drive me crazy
30 sec intro and 1 minute bloopers:D Useful info may be 30 seconds:D
Unless its sub zero I’m fine in a singlet and shorts in the rain. The most important thing is immediately after the run, then is the time to get dry with a towel, and then layer up, unless you enjoy overheating and carrying around layers of saturated material around your body while running.
Was just at track practice where it was raining, and since they’re renovating the track we had to run in the street. We ran a mile and a half ;( I AM SOAKED
My tip for running in the rain run with a TALLER buddy. Let him/her get hit by the lightning! 😉
Seriously… what’s wrong with you lol
Good video as usual.
Is there a way to help against wet socks while your running?
Lol I missed my 5 am morning run because of “its cold, let me sleep 5 more minutes”….hoping to make it tomorrow
Everything is good but u can’t become strong by looking other weak
There’s no greater feeling than working when most aren’t. Running in the rain is an amazing example of this.
THANK YOU… for reminding me why I train at 43yrs old still.
i like running in the rain more than the sun because I sweat less, just me?
Just run in Speedos and a waterproof hat..if you get cold you’re not running fast enough!
Got caught in the rain in my last marathon and my phone got fired.
Good information, but the background noise was too distracting.
Very motivating during the hellish year that is 2020… Thank you.
I’m an ultrarunner. Just finished a few months ago a great 50 mile PR. It was tough. It was hard.
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me after a year. This is a lot harder to get through. This hurts. This stings. In a race, you know there is a finish line but this hurt feels so much worse than running 50 or 62.2 miles.
People of YouTube. Give me strength
If you want something you never had. You must do something you never did. My mantra: Don’t get in my way.
To the designer of this video: THANKS for being you! (Y) Banff, AlbertaCanada. I’m going after a World Record. wish we could talk… I’d like to help you.
Heads up on copyright infringement… this video “Motivación para Correr por tus Metas || Solo el 1% hace esto

well done, but It’s not irrrational and it’s not a sacrifice. The concept is integrity integrity to your values, comfort or no comfort.
Exactly;)Everyone thinks I am ridiculous but I wanna lose weight, because I know once I do my inner self will no longer be a flicker, but a glow. I will finally have the courage to speak up and be the real me an help others do the same. I started at 224lbs now I’m 190 just after two months my goal is 165-170. When I feel like stopping I picture myself helping others and accomplishing my dreams and ofc you getting a girl again and being able to love them because I will then love myself. To anyone trying to accomplish anything big know that the only one who will believe in you is you nobody else even if they say they do it’s not always that way so never give up take it one step at a time and enjoy the journey because end the end that’s what built you so embrace the pain and I mean physically an mentally in anything you do and do it with a promise to yourself that you YOU will make it. Just trust yourself an I promise if you do this you will succeed. You are your own seed that grows depending on your own choices so be something unique and special with many colors never suppress your inner self.
I have downloaded it whenever I need motivation I watches it.
If you refrain from running because a not dangerous rain, what makes you think you can overcome bigger obstacles?
Where was this video when I moved to WA two years ago?! Too late now and I already moved to SoCal.
Much appreciated. I had been waiting for this topic.
This may sound negative but can a video be made for considerations to pull out of a marathon or running events.
I have been training quite regularly following a plan. I have missed some sessions. I have about 6 weeks to go to my first marathon. But I had to missed some sessions in the last week as I had to recover from a fever. I am considering on whether I can still achieve it.
Support me guys ❤️ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt6stlHVBjZ5BRNvux_-hXw
Fantastic tips for a new runner this is just what I needed to hear. Loving the channel.
Very inspirational, videos like these are the reason I dropped nearly a minute in the 1.5 miles in a week and a half ( 10:40– 9:41, 6:28 pace) Mind > Body!
That’s true but sometimes you gotta chose your battles! Running 1 date in rain can get u sick which delay you for a week. No saying don’t run. There r indoor public centers! Don’t skip find alternative!
For me there is one big reason why I always run when it is starting to rain. I am the only one in the city who is running now, or with other words I am the only one which is making progess right in this moment. So it is the most effective way to come to the first place because everybody else stops to run when it’s raining…
“but your out there when everone else is warm inside and theres value to that”
awesome, thanks i was starting to doubt
I’m in London its 7am its raining……this video now leaves me no chooce♂️♂️♂️♂️
There is no “bad” weather
Just “soft” people.
On not so motivated note, the guy at the start of the video looks so much like me. Also acts like. I hate running and cycling in the rain.
Muchas Gracias por ponerlo en español… Exelente trabajo.. Gracias tambien por eso
Good motevational video, they must put woman in the next video
Thanks a lot, these tips are really helpful!! I’m gonna order some reflective armbands right now! Can you please also make a video about what you wear when you’re running in the cold (under 40F)? That would be very helpful for me, I’m always either freezing or too hot and sweating a lot♀️
I always run naked when it rains. It’s a great conversation starter.
do it and repeat it you are not made from sugar or ice not gonna melt run in the rain
What separates them is that they enjoy whatever they’re doing regardless of the circumstances
I wanna run in the rain, but i get cold real easy and cold kills my motivation, i need to just do it tho ♂️♂️
I remember standing at the start line of a run and I switch on my playlist. We are moments away from the start and this comes on. It’s playing and I am waiting to start running and just as it ends and he says “So, is it just a run in the rain? You tell me”, I start running and it starts raining… Best Run Ever!

You are the greatest inspiration/motivation/relatable speaker I have heard. Other get loud and scream to make their strong points and show passion. You can do it speaking slowly and using your words, much more impactful and meaningful. Great videos man and keep it up!
Damn I’m a pussy for not going today at 6 am the sky was dark from the storm clouds and raining hard after this video never again
Also waterproof spray does well on hats and shoes to keep you dry as long as its not torrential rain
Till u start coughing and wheezing and then asking yourself why tf did I even do that
I couldn’t possibly wear a shell while running, even in rain. I just sweat more than normal people so the moisture doesn’t leave fast enough I have half marathon in a day and it’s going to be heavy rain. I can’t win
couple hours ago, I JUST DID MY 1ST RUN IN THE RAIN.
One cyclist even waved to me.
How is it feel? less ppl, a little bit wet, colder
at least, i did my 1st run in the rain and it feels good as usual.
I always run even in the rain but just need a little inspiration to get me up
Oh good. A special video on running in the UK.
Great video. Thanks
Any roadrunners in here looking for motivation for tomorrow’s practice run in the rain??? 2/2/2019 Dodger stadium hill training. The last hill training of the season to prep us up for 2019 LA Marathon.
My favorite runs are in the rain. Today it was 35 degrees and raining. Had a running group of over 200 who came out to run between 4 and 9 miles. Some thought it sucked but most actually enjoyed it because they were dressed appropriately and with supportive fellow runners.
If it’s raining outside I jump rope inside, burns more calories also
So yes it’s just a run in the rain
Had to come back and watch one of my favorites, it hits close to home. Love it still bro!
Great video! I have noticed that in parks and other tree dense areas reflective bands and strips are not so efficient, so I wear a small flashing light clip somewhere on my torso (if I don’t use a head lamp), to let other runners and cyclists ntice me well ahead of time.
That helped a lot…. a lot lot
thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am I the weird one for liking to run in the rain??? I’d even intentionally go outside and enjoy the water, the coolness, wetness, tranquility, and calmness of the rain. It drowns out all noise from the neighborhood so it’s very relaxing and I feel like I can focus better and get more miles down.

Running shoe manufacturers usually say to NOT put running shoes in the washing machine handwash only. Check Runner’s World and shoe manufacturer websites they all say no washing machines for running shoes it weakens the support. DO NOT spread incorrect information.
Hey guys loving the content just rewatching some old videos now! #teamrick
Hi. I live in Mumbai India and weather is usually awful(atleast I feel) May is awful but I am trying to break that mental block that I can’t run in this humidity so if you could do a video on how to run in humid weather I’d be grateful
As Anna and us northerners would do just grab ya big coat and get out there
Salomon Speedcross 4 GTX keep my feet warm and dry. Glad I went for the Goretex version.
I live in the Pacific Northwest U.S., and it rains a lot here! City streets & sidewalks are fine but there can be some VERY deep puddles. Also vehicles drive into puddles that can soak you with filthy road/rain water. In the suburbs & countryside, we can get quite a bit of moss on the roads less traveled (which is more than half the year!)-which is incredibly slippery when wet. I stick to main roads & sidewalks there to avoid falls. If you live somewhere very rainy, it pays to invest in a quality rain jacket (preferably with breathable sections for eliminating steam from sweat heat) & take good care of it. It will last you years & keep you comfortable in the rain. A cheap hack I have used in a pinch for running in rain with mobile phone: ziplock bag with paper towel inside to absorb any moisture. Kept my phone safe when I was in rainstorm w/o a waterproof case.
Vaseline? That’ll wash off in the first couple of miles! Not great for your clothes either. Bodyglide or similar is far better.
Raining = drive to gym. Says the guy who once did 20 miles on a treadmill!
-4 outside, as jocko willnik would say “good”. Time to get after it.
No kidding, this is the best practical rain running advice on YouTube. Well done.
I live in the North of the U.K. and we have two types of weather either it’s raining or it’s just about to.
Particularly liked the temperature advice and never thought about arm warmers before, even though I have them for cycling! Great, thanks
actually very good quality content my man, got yourself a new sub! ❤️
Those of us who usually wear glasses would be very greatful if you give us some tips on how to keep rain off our glasses, it’s really annoying when you go running in the rain and you end up seeing nothing because of the raindrops in your glasses.
When I’m not motivated to run I think about how I wan’t to someday qualify for the Olympics!
Wow! I’m impressed that you were able to run for so long and talk the whole time! Good work!
