In Italy my favourite comfort good is pasta al forno, basically you precook pasta(only rigatoni)but for like half the time (so it’s slightly crunchy), you then put things like scamorza cheese or mozzarella cheese, homemade ragù, pieces of sausage, bread crumbs to make it reeaaaal crunchy, etc…; you then just put everything (already mixed) in a baking dish (like a lasagna) and you just put a lot of bread crumbs, cheese and/or even eggs/meatballs on top. Slap it in the oven and cook it as you like( golden, slightly burned, etc…) You have to see italian channels to understand how good it looks.
My favorite comfort food is fried eggs on top of white rice so you break the yolk and it runs all over the rice it’s really good and cheap

I’m American but I’m from the South my two dishes are Chicken and Dumplings & a dish called Poppy Seed Chicken (casserole type dish). I wouldn’t call these comfort food but these are my favourite food from my home country Perú: Ají de Gallina, Secó de Chabelo, Papa a la Huancayina and Arroz con Pollo. 900 cals a day is too little. I am not saying this in a mean way or anything, I am just putting this out there. You got your metabolic rate tested, it said something around 1200 cals. Those cals are the bare minimum you should be eating, because that equates the cals quantity your body uses to function (your organs to work, breath…) without moving. Now, you say you live a sedentary life. That is A OKAY. It is a good idea to do some exercise at least for the heart to stay healthy but that’s fine if you don’t want to do so. That being said, you probably use a few hundred calories more by moving around and doing the stuff you do.
I think you don’t need to keep losing weight now, you could just find the calorie amount that you need in order to stay where you’re at and that’s it. No need to keep up with the calorie deficit. calorie deficits should never go under your metabolic rate.

I have been applying this weight loss plan “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) for several weeks today and until now I love them! They give me plenty of energy and also curb my desire for food, but I do NOT crash when they wear off which I enjoy, and they don`t make me jittery. I have not changed everything else I am doing and also have shed 7 lbs..
Was the stuff that looked like chicken the soy curls in the green Chile stew and the curry? If so, howd you get them to look like chicken, did you soak them in something? I’m trying to find meat substitutes for my soups and have been having a hard time!!

Hey there! I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for making this video. While I personally probably couldn’t do 900 calories a day, this video really opened some healthy items that my husband and I can eat since he has a ton of allergies. Spaghetti literally went out the window once we knew gluten and pepper really affected him (and the gluten free spaghetti didn’t seem to help much). But I am stoked to try out the black bean and edamame options (and from Amazon is a total win from us since we live in Alaska with limited variety). My husband loves tortillas enough to ignore allergy issues so we look forward to trying the ones you recommended. Bang came to CARRS and Walmart here a few months back and I personally love the coffee options like Swiss Chocolate.
As far as the video as a whole, I loved how genuine and up front you were about things. I myself am not a huge fan of exercising (I’m hoping to try to get a treadmill at our house we’re having built and committing 30 minutes a day if I’m home but that’s the most I’ll do ). I also am generally not hungry until 1pm so limiting to 2 meals is easier for me with the occasional tangerine, celery, or carrot in between.
My issues are drive thru coffee, wanting something quick to eat (which typically results in eating out), and my friends/family pushing sweets on me if I ever visit. Currently, my husband and I have clipped some calories by only getting the entree (say you’re at Arby’s; you only order the sandwich and skip the drink and fries). This seems to help a bit, but imagine it’ll be easier to force ourselves to do more home cooking once we are out of our city rental (with pizza only a 30 second walk away from us…) and into a house where it’s a 15 minute drive to most food places.
If you make another video in the future, I would really love to see more recipes that are fast to make without odd/expensive ingredients and is decent tasting.

Congee’s a strong pick for China, but I’m gonna recc my fave of bacang (zongzi/lotus rice are similar stuff) here. Glutinous rice, wrapped in leaves and steamed, with assorted fillings ranging from meat, sausages, mushrooms, various types of beans, pork fat, etc… it’s glorious. If you’re having a hard time with the format of the video, I made this for myself. Hopefully some of you will find it useful
Prep by preheating oven to 400 F
Stir-fry:
Ingredients
Sweet potatoes
Smoked tofu
Tomatoes
Spaghetti Squash
Bell peppers
Marinate tofu with sweetened soy sauce
Cut squash, put it in over 400 F for 40 mins
Prep bell papers and pumpkin with salt, then add tofu and bell peppers to oven for 15 – 20 mins
While you’re doing this, Add oil and salt to cooked spaghetti squash (get the stringly noodly part out with a fork)
Add oil, salt, spinach
Stir fry for a couple of minutes
Curry:
Pumpkin
Chickpeas
Potatoes
Daikon (optional)
Garlic
Onions
Canned tomatoes
Canned jackfruit
Canned chickpeas
Full fat coconut milk
Dice veggies in cubes
Put them all in a pot
Add: 4 cans of tomatoes
6 tablespoons of curry powder
2 tbs of garam masala
½ cumin
½ salt
Cook over stopetop for 10 minutes and then add 2 cans of FULL CREAM coconut milk
Simmer for 30 mins
When the vegetables are softer, fry chicken thighs with coconut oil and add curry base (that’s what you just worked on) and simmer for 30 mins
For vegetarian and vegan version, do this with chickpea and jackfruit
(It’s important that chickpeas are canned or remember to prep them by soaking them for hours beforehand)
Add fish, prawn or pumpkin
Add greens/swiss chards or kale
Fry shrimp for 4 mins with salt/pepper and ginger then add base (Idk if you’ll want to simmer this mind)
Breakfast:
Eggs
Slice sweet potatoes really thin
Season salt and pepper
Bake for 15 minutes in 400 F oven
Assemble before or after on muffin tray like a pretty flower
Add shredded cheese
Cooked spinach
Add egg on top or chickpea/jackfruit if you’re vegan
Bake it until your egg is done in oven (make only a few of these, they don’t keep well)
Overnight oats
½ cup oats
Tbsp chia seeds
2/3 cup non-dairy milk
Vanilla extract
Superfood powder
Sweetener
Cinnamon if you want it
Mix well, let is set
Sweet snack: Protein jelly
Heat up almond milk while you boil some water. Pour 12 grams of gelatin powder into a bowl (depending on how you want it set) then add 100 ml of boiling water, 200 ml of almond milk, sweetener and superfood powder to your gelatin powder. Mix well, pour into jars, let set in fridge. Serve with fresh fruit.
Savory snack:
Cut celery, cucumber and carrot into slices, dip into hummus.
Put it all into individual containers and you are ready for the week
They stay in her fridge for about 2 days and then she stores the rest in her freezer
Mix and match ingredients so you don’t have to eat the same thing
Prep for max 3 days
To make a plate, remember to have veggies, carbs, proteins, fats & oils
My thoughts:
(Chloe made 4 egg potato thingies but idk how it will keep)
Store the rice in one container so you can serve it with your stir fry or curry
You can add protein to your squash with prawns or chicken, or chickpeas or jackfruit

That is a LOTTTTT of butter n food. Her breakfast alone was at least a thousand calories. If she ever even eats like this it must be like once a year. Or she has an extremely high metabolism of a 12 year old. There’s no way.
I hate when people say “oh she’s just genetically gifted.” You basically invalidate all her hard work with that. If you calculate it that’s around 1600-1700 calories. If you workout that’s not a lot. She also said this was her comfort food. Don’t invalidate others hard work to make yourself feel better. I personally take medicine that makes weight loss hard but I still maintain a 19 BMI because I workout and watch what I eat. It doesn’t really matter your genetics, if you put in the work it’ll show.

Ok so I only have one meal but I have other tips and stuff so just boil some potatoes afterwards cut them into squares and get some bell peppers onions and cut those up too and just put them on a pan with some olive oil but it can be any other cooking oil and just put them on there till they seem good and add some spinach and some seasoning like salt and garlic powder and any other. Any of the items I named are optional and substantial so you can add carrots tomatoes or anything else you’d like.
Ok so this is for my snackers just try your best to not snack and when you’re bored and think you’re hungry just ask “am I actually hungry”if the answer is yes then eat some fruit like an apple or banana. If you’re craving something sweet get some bread with almond butter or any kind of nut butter I use one where it’s a mix of many. If you don’t have any nut-butter get some non sugar Greek yogurt and if you don’t wanna eat it plain add some honey.
Last but most important tip. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF. Eat like you regularly would (maybe a bit less) just healthier and try not to snack on stuff I eat how I normally do I just try to be as healthy as possible. Drink lots of liquids before you eat they make you feel fuller and you won’t eat as much. And also eat on smaller plates and just get a “large” portion to fit that plate you will trick your brain into thinking you’re eating more when you’re not.
