“I’m dieting, I cannot eat that. Ugh,” you think? If you torture yourself too much and think about what you are NOT allowed to eat, the diet will not be a success either. If you want some chocolate, you do not need to swallow a whole bar, but, here and there, a piece of dark chocolate is even healthy. Enjoyment is allowed in moderation and is a good precaution against sudden food cravings and the yo-yo effect.

A bodybuilder telling you, how healthy food is not healthy that much(cause bodybuilders=flexible dieting). Added sugar plus glysemic index is relatively irrelevant(bodybuilders=not actually strong or athletic). How hormones don’t play a part in burning fat, fasting is not necessary(bodybuilders=not an example of health in general). And the only truth that you can follow is a calories in calories out approach(bodybuilders=only focus looking good).
PS: there is nothing wrong with wanting to look good and focusing only on aesthetics, but do not take everything that bodybuilders say seriously. Cause there’re not athletes bodybuilding is more of an art form.

I fucking hate this advice dude. and it is fucked up. I used to think that way that” eating a lot will give you more muscle. ” but that shit is partially true. yes, I gained the chest and arms muscles but also I ended up with huge belly fat. i got rid most of it.
I thought that carbohydrates help you with workouts (they provide you with the energy to actually do the workout), whereas proteins and fats help your body to grow and operate efficiently alongside micronutrients. Excess carbohydrates turn into sugar (unless they’re complex carbohydrates, specifically fiber, which potatoes don’t mostly consist of), which will obviously increase your weight, but also your risk of diabetes, so….who’s right?
You know how long it took me to figure this out? I dropped 40Lbs doing exactly what Jeff put in this video. It took me FOREVER! To figure this out, collecting information and trying different things. This video is PERFECT! And spot on!

I love this idea of eating every two hours but for those of us who have a full time job i find eating good size meals every 4 hours is far more realistic and easy to stick too. sure meal every two hours might have a slight advantage to build muscle but being realistic is the key, and keeping it simple.

When she recommended canola and corn oil she lost all credibility to me.
I make 2 portions ( me and mom) 2 glass milk with 4 tbsp chia seeds in the evening and in morning I blend 1/3 frozen banana + 5 frozen strawberries + 5 pecan nuts + 1/3 tsp spirulina. I used to put vanilla and stevia but now I think this is sweet enought as I reduced sugar intake:)
The reason for buying organic produce is not the fact that they’re allegedly more nutritious (they aren’t) but because they contain less nitrates due to less fertilization. USA is pretty lax with food regulations but in Europe organic food is really healthier in this regard.

Its one of my favorites. I just got some spirulina powder this week and using it. Maybe you could do a video on it? Would love that. Anyway, it’s a good one (organic, no metals, reputable), but it has a slight kinda fishy smell, maybe. I add 1.5 teaspoons to salads and smoothies, and honestly, once you add it in, I don’t taste anything, except the salad or smoothie:). I heard it’s really good for you though. Thanks Autumn!!:) <3

I used to do dry fasting for two days usually once a two weeks around 3 months ago, but now i started to dry fast for 4-7 days. There has been times where i binged after and gained 4kg the day after. My questions are: How can i break a dry fast withoit gaining any weight? How can i speed up my metabolism again after dry fasting? How can i fix my metabolism? Dont get me wrong, I am not obese or anything. I am 15 years old female and today i weighed at 53.3kg, my height is 161cm. My weight used to be 47kg before i started to emotinally eat and heck i gained weight till 63kg. I really want to go back to the weight i was around 5 months ago. I have lost nearly 10kgs already in less than one month thanks to dry fasting and liquid fasting. In all of those other months I ended up eating a lot of food, had crash diets, gained all of the weight back etc. Like i said this morning I was 53.3kg while I was 62.5kg in 21th may for instance (im doing a 30 day glow up challange), i messed up a couple of times but i was still able to keep the weight off. Now i get a lot of comments on how much i look like a model but i still have some fat around i would like to lose and i really wanna be back at 47kg. My body fat percentage is 21.5% (today) and i have a morning routine workout that is 1 hour and 10 mins long every day (bunch of exercises to get me leaner, not really cardio). These few days ive also been exercising around 1 hour or more after school and i realized when i do that i can also keep the fat off. But summer holidays are coming soon. I cannot always dry fast with my family and i do wanna try some new foods over summer. Please please help me out!! I really dont know how to break my dry fast and i am so scared of gaining back the weight of my dry fast (today is gonna be the fourth day of my dry fast, its a soft dry fast btw). I used to be an athlete so for 10 years or more every aspect of my life was controlled. In the past 5 years since giving it up i completly let myself go and gained about 100lbs. My biggest issue outta anytime I tried to get back in shape i should automatically go to eating completly clean and working out constantly just as I did before. After about a month it spoiled become to much and id quit. I think now I realized I’m not an NFL player or an olympia body builder. It’s ok to slip up and have a slice of cake or take a couple days off from the gym because I’m tired. Im not trying to achieve some godlike physique. I simply want to be healthy for my children. I gave myself a good month changing my eating for the better before even stepping foot in the gym. Iv also started lifting very moderately to get my body used to exercise again. I think I finally foundthe perfect balance for me.

I don’t buy organic because I think they’re healthier, I buy it because many synthetic pesticides are tested on animals. I’m gluten-free because I’m gluten-intolerant (the ones that get all the symptoms but don’t test as celiac, we get forgotten as a group all the time).

Hey man. I’m a martial artist at heart and have trained bjj and mma for many years. Im 5’10”, 26 years of age and a chubby/average body type. I had a mild back injury about 3 years ago. I stopped exercising and became 225 lbs. I have listened to hundreds of hours of fitness and health podcasts at work and have watched a ton of videos with several million views on youtube about dieting, general health and losing weight. In 3 and a half weeks after listening to your videos and taking your advice, I’ve lost 19lbs and went from weighing 225 lbs to weighing 206lbs after discovering your channel. ABOUT 24 DAYS I LOST 19 LBS OF FAT. If you’re someone reading this and want to know how I did it, I ate 1 meal a day with my feeding window being from 5pm to 9pm. I would drink black iced coffee in the morning from Racetrac gas station(0 calories)before work and get home from work around 4pm. (YOU CANT HAVE ANY CALORIES OR YOUR FAST WILL BE BROKEN. YOU CANT HAVE ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS OR YOUR FAT BURNING SYSTEM WILL BE SLOWED DOWN ALOT!)After work I would kill time until 5 O’clock when I was allowed to eat. One thing that’s working pretty well for me rn (I’m trying to gain muscle mass without gaining much fat) has been intermittent fasting. Lets your body spend more time in ketosis so you burn fat without having to go on an especially harsh diet. Usually one really big meal per day does the job, and as long as I include plenty of meat, some fruits and vegetables, and whatever carbs I want it seems to work pretty well. Not super fast gains or anything, but steady.

I’m 6’2, 216 lbs.
3 Weeks eating exclusively carrots, beans, pumpkin, corn, chicken breast, fish, some meat, tangerines, occasionally bananas, blueberrys, while working out aerobic and anaerobic 4/5 times per week. Also never adding salt/sugar/oil/butter.
Gained 5 lbs after the 3 weeks, and waist measurement is exactly the same… my objective is losing fat and it’s actually not working at all.
Is Custokebon Secrets effective to lost tons of fat? We’ve learn many good stuff about this popular weight loss diet plan.

I understand Keto might not be for everyone, everyone’s body is different, also a lot of people don’t research it enough and do it wrong and then get sick from it. on my 9th day of 16:8 fasting from 3 meals +2 snacks a day. And trying very hard to eat low carb meal. I think im feeling better. Ive been so cautious with any type of diet because i have an autoimmune dse and was afraid of protein because i have protenuria. Listen to your body if your eating enough carbs protein and mixture of fruit and veg. 4 meals a day and do not get hungry at all throughout the day chances are you are eating enough calories.

Organic food may not help with weight loss but saying it’s not better for you is a stretch. I have a ton of gastric issues most of which go away when I eat organic food opposed to overly processed foods. I’m only 25 and I’ve already had an ulcer in my intestines, the less preservatives, pesticides, etc. The better my stomach feels however this is very expensive and I cannot afford to do so on my disability income. So I literally can’t be healthy because I’m too unhealthy to pay for the things that make me feel better.

Raw kale is hard to digest but blending it definitely helps. Fruit sugar is an energy source. Big difference between store bought oj and fresh squeezed. Put fresh juice in your smoothies. My favorite is to do nutmilk base with squeeze of lemon or orange for taste.

Damn people really crave junk when they’re hungry? I only crave junk once I’m full. Junk food releases a dopamine hit, it does nothing to satisfy hunger. If I’m hungry the last thing I want is junk and I’m actually adverse to junk food when I’m hungry. If I’m hungry and the only thing to eat is junk food, I won’t eat because that’s how grossed out I am by junk food when I’m hungry.

My friend refuses to try the keto diet and he is taking a boat load of medicines, I am 20 years older than him and need no medicines at all and have a boat load of energy. Big Pharma and Big Food industry fears the Keto diet. If everyone went on the keto diet, both would lose so much money it would be mind boggling. Do keto and reverse diabetes, high blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, and skin issues to mention only a few. Not to mention on keto you never get hungry and weight falls off like magic. My wife’s A1C dropped from 9.9 to 5.3 and she’s now off her meds just from going low carb (not even full keto) Why don’t doctors tell their patients about this? Money?
People have been on Keto for decades. It’s very sustainable and you can do it for life and continue to reap the health and nutritional benefits with the knowledge you will be eating the healthiest way possible.
Here’s how keto has helped me:
1. Lost 50lbs in 4.5 months
2. Sleep is so good now
3. No longer wake up to pee 3-8 times a night (perhaps once or twice, but usually none).

Carbs are not necessary to eat at all you DON’T need them! Your body will make glucose from fat as it needs it. I consume less than 10g of carbs a day and I feel the best I’ve ever felt. I find it very easy and not limiting at all. I’ll never go back to burning sugar again. Eat fat, lose fat!
I’ve started walking in the morning and eating eggs and bacon then for lunch have some kind of meat and 2 veggies and for dinner the same thing. Next week gonna add weight 2 or 3 times a week. Hope this works for me. Giving it until the end of June to how it goes.

I wonder if the pro-keto people who commented a year ago are still keto today. I doubt it, but I’m genuinely curious. Every one I know personally who went keto did lose weight but did not last on the diet. My Dr. did recommend the Dash diet to me and it does seem like a good way of eating. I do agree that I would not recommend corn or conala oil.

99% of Asians questioning the “no one eats white rice on its own” comment . White rice is breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert for some people . And unfortunately, I heard of poorer families who only ate white rice with a little bit of soy sauce. That was their daily meal and yeah they only ate once per day… unfortunate… But, we do what we must to survive.

Not 100% my knowledge, so don’t quote me on this, but according to many other fitness athletes and news articles, it is actually beneficial to space out your meals especially if your main goal is to lose fat. I’m in my undergrad taking a course in physiology and the course also states that diets, where people eat only once per day should not be considered beneficial even though it does significantly reduce weight. The reason why this type of diet works, is that it’s revolved around the idea that the average individual can only eat a certain amount in a small window of the day (often 1-2 hours as recommended by most sites that promote this form of diet). Given so, people will end up eating significantly fewer calories and will, therefore, force the body to resort to using triglycerides in adipose tissue as fuel or proteins once glycogen storages are depleted. This would mean even though an individual would lose weight, they would significantly lose a combination of both muscle and fat (can be large amounts of both), which is not the desired goal for many. Anyways, this ties back into the reason why it is more beneficial to space out your meals throughout the day. If you are ‘cutting’ and aim to lose fat, waiting to pack on the protein only after your workout may be detrimental for a couple reasons. Often times, when trying to lose fat, people would increase their protein intake while moderately decreasing carbs and fats. Following this diet, while also trying to eat it all at one period of the day means that for a large portion of the day, your body is not being fed any fuel at all. So even for the little activities, such as walking around your house, your body requires energy to execute said actions. Therefore, if your glycogen storages are already depleted, your body would catabolize proteins to use its amino acids to form glucose. In other words, your body eats at your muscles for most of the day.
The second reason why it’s beneficial to space out your meals is that eating protein provides the satiation of feeling full. Even though this is a minor thing, a lot of people report that if they do cheat on their diet its due to cravings or an undying hunger. Therefore, by spacing out your protein, it can provide a greater advantage to helping someone feel satiated in their diet and hopefully prevent them from cheating. This is most likely why a lot (not all but many) of professional bodybuilders across all divisions are seen spacing their meals throughout the day. Some live by it and wake up at 4:00 am to get a meal in!

I am doing Intermediating fasting since 3 months now i drink 5 glass water first thing in the morning one with lemon in it. At 9 am i break my fast with 1 wheat roti vegetables and dal then at 2 i eat one boiled egg almond and 32 roasted unsalted peanuts and 3 tablespoon of popcorn sometime 1 cup of chickpeas then thats it. But still i am not losing weight i am drinkin 16 glass of water everyday with 60 hours of active time just walking. What am i doing wrong plz tell me

I recently started.the keto diet and already feel better energy wise and less bloated. I don’t like how i feel when i eat carbs. Whether whole grain or wheat. Since i started the keto diet my sugar craving have diminish about 70% and i have not eaten anything with sugar at all, which for me is amazing since i have not beem able to say no to sweets in years. So far i am loving the keto diet and the food is delicious!

These people are going off of the food pyramid and faulty studies. KETO is amazing for your body believe it or not fats do no make you fat carbs do so basically your body on carbs is like using gas on a jet but your body on fats is like using jet fuel on a jet. In the past coming across foods high in carbs was rare so our diets would consist of 75% fats 20% protein and 5% carbs and we were an extremely strong and fit species. The fat lie is based around a study done on cancer patients resulting in the FDA essentially calling on a war on fats which led to many companies replacing fats with carbs and what do you know ever since thta study in the 70s we have had an obesity epidemic which didn’t exist until people started to replace fats with carbs. Also we have plenty of research on this diet as it’s been around since I believe the 80s so overall KETO should be on the top of her good list.

I was a Army Physical training instructor. I can tell you that diets of any sort do not and will never work. The only way to lose weight is to eat more but smaller meals threw out the day and intense exercise for shorter periods of time and more regular. The body will naturally adjust. Any longer periods of exercise becomes stamina training. Walk more and more but at a quicker pace than usual. Use your stairs at home. No more than 40 minutes per day of exercise. You don’t need any more. Go to bed earlier and get a good nights sleep the body burns natural fats as it sleeps. Simple, it’s not complicated. See the difference after 2 weeks. Nothing hard or complicated about it. Good luck.

It’s worth watching this video 10 times a month and trying to understand even more deeply what you said with your few points than going to 100 different videos and even books I wouldnt recommend for beginners as much as just sticking to exactly what you laid out here.
Especially the “focusing too much on the details” than on doubling down on the basics (increasing the number of times you train. as well as the intensity over time. and the calories intake per day/week). This in my opinion is already worth more than any other tip out there in my opinion. But it always depends where you are at your journey. for people, already applying this rule consistently, there are other more valuable tips.
so i would say this video is especially valuable for beginners and a lot of people who already do fitness for a few years.

Don’t know about the weight loss because it fluctuates like hell so I stopped measuring ( and also I am doing all these properly for maybe 2 weeks, though I started one month ago) and your videos motivates me and I watched almost all of your old videos. I also started exercising with empty stomach because of your influence ❤ (before It was my mentality that if I don’t have breakfast, I can’t do exercise) you really help to push my mind further. Organic isn’t about nutrition so much as about avoiding poisons. Some produce it’s a big deal (potatoes and berries) some it makes zero difference (fruit you peel, robust stuff that bugs don’t bother)

2Don’t use too much protein, use one serving recommendation on a good quality protein.
3Don’t add Raw kale to your smoothies. It causes bloating and digestion issues. (if you want to use kale in your smoothies then steam and freeze for later)
4Fats are important and should be included in your smoothie.
5While you should include some fruit, too much can cause increased insulin.
6Have varieties! Alternate fats, proteins, fibers and more.
7Include spices in your smoothie. Cinnamon can reduce insulin and there are many spices that are anti-inflammatory.
8Make sure your nut butters don’t have extra ingredients like sugar.
9Make sure you are getting unsweetened nut milks.
10You don’t need to keep smoothies low calorie. Having a good balanced smoothie can limit snacking throughout the day.
As far as ice cream, just once a week I stick to Enlightened or Halo Top. Regular pints of ice cream have about 64 grams of sugar, these only have about 20 grams and the whole pint only has between 280 and 400 calories, depending on the flavor. Regular ice cream pints have closer to 1,000 calories.

She is so full of it. There is no research to support what she is saying, only guesswork. I have been on keto for 4 months, I am down 25 pounds and my health has improved. I had my lab work done, and all of the results that for years have been bad are normal. My blood pressure is down to normal. My joint pain is gone, and my heartburn/reflux is no more. No other diet I have tried has shown any kind of overall improvement.
If you’re craving ice cream and it’s in the freezer its easy to walk into the kitchen and reach for that pint and eat 800-1000 calories of ice cream. Point being have zero junk food in your house and fill up on fruits and vegetables.

I don’t think you need a dietary supplement on the keto diet. You can still get all the nutrients you need from the vegetables & fruits you can consume. There are still plenty of options available. Once just has to be creative with meal planning & cooking. They have 100s of recipes available. Outside of taking a multivitamin I think the keto is fine without any additional dietary supplements!

Also, when you go shopping, eat a healthy meal before you go. Shopping hungry is how you end up with a bunch shit thinking, WHY DID I BUY SO MUCH GARBAGE! When I eat a healthy meal and I see those little fudge cupcakes, candy bars, and Cheetos, I have no problem say, “No, c’mon.”

Hello.I just found you and thank you for the information you provide. I am however searching, desperately searching for information o gaining weight in a very healthy manner.It seems almost impossible to find such information.My Dr. actually gave me medication to increase my apetite.I do have an appetite.I promptly stopped taking this medication ☺ That is by far the very last thing I want in my body, more medication.Believe it or not my friends, being underweight can make one feel as self conscious and equally as badly as those feel that struggle greatly to lose weight.
I would be so very grateful to begin to see information to address this issue in a healthy manner.I am unable to workout as I once did due to 11 spinal surgeries however I still do some of the exercises Im safely able to do.I do miss the muscle mass I once had and it did, most definitely add to my weight. If at all possible any information you can provide I would be most appreciative.
